This avid gamer is about to discover love doesn't mean game over. As a hacker who rarely leaves the basement, Raymond's chances of meeting Mrs. Right are slim to none until his hermit-lifestyle is jolted. A warning to stop poking into his past comes with consequences--and intrigues this curious cat. Raymond's only recently discovered he can shift into a lynx. He has questions, but the answers will require leaving his safe zone--and his comfy slippers--so he can find the one woman who can help. A scowling and fierce woman who makes Raymond crave a happily ever after. Whereas Lainey would rather he disappear. She isn't falling for his awkward charm. They must remain alert and never forget they're playing a game with an enemy who will stop at nothing to win. The stakes are their lives. Is it game over for this budding love? Contains mature themes.

~ New York Times and USA Today Bestselling Author

Hello, my name is Eve Langlais and I am an International Bestselling author who loves to write hot romance, usually with werewolves, cyborgs or aliens .

I should warn you, I have a twisted imagination and a sarcastic sense of humor something I like to let loose in my writing. While well known for my shifter stories, I am also extremely partial to aliens, the kind who like to abduct humans and then drive them insane...with pleasure. Or do you like something a little darker, more serious? Then check out my cyborgs whose battle with humanity have captivated readers worldwide.

Unpredictable!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 🖤💙❤️💜
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📘📙📔
World building: 🌏🌍🌎🌍🌎
Character development: 😚☹️🥹😉
Narrator(s): 🎙🎙🎙🎙🎙
Narration type: Solo Narration

The Hero: Raymond - he is a lynx shifter and was born in a lab. The scientists were experimenting on children, but if the kids didn’t manifest an ability by a certain age, Mr. X, the guy in charge, told the scientists to terminate them. The lead scientist refused to do that, so he found them a home with his sister. Raymond and his eight adopted siblings grew up on a farm with their “mom”, Nannette Hubbard, who was a wonderful lady who risked a lot by taking in all of those kids. Though now they are part of the wolf pack that lived in the same town. Raymond is a genius and a gifted hacker with mild asperger’s syndrome.

The heroine: Lainey (a.k.a. Pink Llama) - she is a hacker who liked to electronically watch others. Most recently she had been watching Raymond online and she was very good at her job. She had gone to a lot of trouble to rid the world of the huanimorph project. Lainey had barely escaped the project herself after careful planning years in the making. She had been in deep hiding ever since. She knows too much so she is afraid of being caught. She had burned down all of their labs remotely, saving the Canadian one, where she was born for last. She knew the scientists and Mr. X were still alive.

The Story: Raymond continued to look into his and his siblings' pasts even after his brothers burned down the secret lab where they were born. While playing an online game, he gets a message from someone with the handle Pink Llama, that tells him to stop digging and asking questions or he and his family will regret it. Of course, the threat only piqued his interest into the Pink Llama.

I loved the characters in this book. Lainey was quite a badass heroine. The story was the best of the three so far. There was plenty of suspense and Mr. X was a big threat in this one. I also loved the surprises in this story, there were quite a few things in this story that I would never have predicted, and I always love a story that is original and unpredictable, especially when I don’t pick up any clues to what is coming.

This audiobook was told in dual points of view via solo narration and was narrated by Grace Grant. I usually hate solo narration but was able to get this book as part of a box set, so I picked it up. Grace Grant is a pretty good narrator; she has a nice voice and her voice for the male characters isn’t bad either.

Raymond did not disappoint! This series ender focuses on the last brother and he finds himself figuring things out when he comes up against an adversary. Once the dots are all connected, he, and she, realize they are similar, but different, and have amazing chemistry. Running from the bad guys only bring them closer together and then the family bands together to give everyone the freedom and peace to live their lives 😊

Raymond

Raymond is a computer geek who prefers to stay home in his basement alone. When he is threatened by someone in a game he is playing, named PinkLama5309, and she knows his full name, he is curious and concerned she might know more about him. When he tracks her down things get strange and dangerous to all of them, especially when Dr.X finds them. Wow! Very exciting.

Great book!
I really enjoyed listening to this book. In fact, so much that I finished listening to this in 2 day while still spending a big chunk of that time at the office. This is the best book in the series, and I highly recommend it. Lainey is quite the accomplished woman who escaped the facilities, where they are experimenting on humans; turning them into animals and other creatures. She’s been taking care of herself after she escaped for quite a while and have been doing it very successfully. There was instant interest when Raymond meets Lainey and I really like the way they talk to each other. Raymond is such a sweet guy and really likes her. There’s also a young child in this story and she is so adorable. I love it every time she talks. My only complaint is that this book ended before I was ready for it to be since I was enjoying this so much. No extra drama with very interesting action. A definite read you don’t want to miss.

Raymond #3 11/30/2025

Raymond is out to find the hacker pink llama she tried to tell him to stop digging into his past it would bring danger. Not listing she had to stop him by wiping out all of his computers. All that did was make him more determined to find her. Lainey just wants him to stop his digging in dangers all of them. And she need to keep of grid for she has someone to protect. But he finds her and learns her secrets. And Sunshine has her own secrets, she knew he was coming her daddy but he’s not really. Yet. But first they have to take care of the bad guys from the lab where they all where created. So enjoy another good read and hope we see more in the series of lab made shifters!!

Love is a mystery

Raymond, our hero, isn't like his brothers, if you've been following the series. Our introverted hero, isn't the type for the typical romance since he spends so much of his time home alone puzzling out ways to keep his family protected. But sometimes typical is overrated and the unexpected is just what is needed.

My only problem with the story is that the ending was so very abrupt. I can't help but wish that they were on the run together for a little bit longer.

the end of a great trilogy

I devoured this book on a train journey. I loved the story and especially the characters. One character in particular who I won’t name for spoiler reasons.
I liked that Ray wasn’t a typical alpha which made a nice change. Lainey rocked!
This was a great trilogy with a perfect ending.

Wonderful addition to the series. Loved both main characters. Great chemistry between two computer experts reluctant to fall in love. The book does end a bit abruptly, but it does have an happy ending…

Raymond by eve langlais. Sunshine was so beautiful and made this book, i think. I felt for the mmc and mfc with both their situations and how they basically became total introverts. And broke it for each other

Really liked this one. And hoping they all get books. Even Sunshine. It would be interesting who would fit her.

Such a Good Story!!

All 3 in this series have been great. I can’t wait for the rest of the family’s stories to come out. But Mr X is dead so I can’t imagine what the storylines will be. Loved how Raymond stepped up to the plate and took control of the situation. Lainey and Sunshine sure love him. On to the next books. 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗💜💜💜💜💜🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
