A brand new, gritty MC romance from USA Today best-selling author, Carmen Jenner.
Brothers before all others. No exception. That's the Kings of Carnage MC creed. Too bad my Sergeant at Arms forgot all about the brotherhood when he stuck it to my old lady.
Now, I'm nomad.
No matter how many miles I put between me and Tennessee, there's still not enough blacktop beneath my tires to outrun my nightmares. After Afghanistan, I gave everything I had to the brotherhood. I made my peace with the scars, with the night terrors, and the likelihood of spending the rest of my life married to the road.
Until my bike breaks down in Uprising, Georgia, and it isn't the local Kings charter who come to my rescue, it's a feisty, lavender-haired minx with a loud mouth, greasy hands, and a penchant for pushing all my buttons.
Jupiter Jones isn't like other women. The only thing hotter than watching her work under the hood of her '64 Ford Mustang is the idea of her tight little body working under mine. But she's got a laundry list of problems that have somehow become my own.
I should walk away, get on my Harley and leave Uprising in the dust, but I can't. Someone has to save Jupiter from herself—only, this mouthy little upstart thinks I'm the one who needs saving.

Bear is a complete enemies-to-lovers, romantic suspense standalone full of action, alpha bad boys, and take-no-prisoners women. Bear is the fourth book in the Kings of Carnage MC - Prospects series but can be read without any prior books.
Gear up for an explosive new series from six bestselling Authors you love!
Prospects: Hilary Storm (Ruin), Sapphire Knight (Sterling), Nicole James (Saint), Carmen Jenner (Bear), M.N. Forgy (Crow), Chelsea Camaron (Mako)
Carmen Jenner is a USA Today and international bestselling author.
A hardcore red lipstick addict and a romantic at heart, Carmen enjoys books—duh!—long walks through Sephora, tattooed boys, and eyeliner so sharp it could kill a man. She lives in small-town, Australia, where she wrangles her two children, a French Bulldog named Busy, her Jungle Jag Python named Bunny, and her very own manchild.
Carmen always gives her characters the HEA they deserve, but not before ruining their lives completely first … because what’s a happily ever after without a little torture?
Bear by Carmen Jenner was the fourth book in the Kings of Carnage MC - Prospects. The series was a spin off focused on the legacy of the original Kings of Carnage MC. Both series are written by five to six separate authors and although are all part of the MC storyline, the books can be read in order or as stand-alones.
I’ve taken a break from formal reviews for a while, but a couple quick thoughts: I enjoyed both Bear and Jupiter - Jupiter a little more than Bear because she was feisty, snarky, independent, bold, brazen and had more balls than most guys! Bear was cavemanish but it worked. As to the storyline, I enjoyed the suspense part of it and how it merged with the MC. There was one tragedy, I would have done without, otherwise, I enjoyed the conflict conclusion. It wasn’t a typical MC conclusion, but again, it worked.
I have not read the previous books in the Kings of Carnage series, but that did not affect my reading of Bear at all.
And wow, does Bear take us places - mostly places that we woudln't want to be taken in real life (except for bed, because I don't think I would complain about him taking me that way (except for the Daddy thing, but that is just my bug bear not anyone elses).
Jupiter and Bear's story is one of lust and loss and all kinds of biker badness. Jupiter is a kick ar$e babe who takes no crap from nobody, and will kick your ar$e and never kiss it. And I would want her to be my friend (even if she scared me a little hahaha)
This is one book that will have you on edge of your seat, waiting for the next big moment.
I now need to go back and read the other authors in this series.
I enjoyed this enemies to lovers storyline packed with action. Great chemistry and banter with a hint of suspense that will keep you invested until the end.
Their first encounter was an unmitigated disaster.
Bear the ex Seal, four years as a sharpshooter on the Teams…now he’s a Nomad. Jupiter is the pint-sized, mouthy town mechanic, their chemistry was combustible…at their first encounter. Bear’s vulnerabilities were endearing to witness especially since he’d been betrayed (yes she shows up).
Brothers before all others. That's the Kings of Carnage MC creed. Unfortunately his Sergeant at Arms didn’t get the brotherhood memo as he betrayed him with Bear’s old lady.
Even with distance between him and Tennessee, there's still not enough to outrun his nightmares. After Afghanistan, he gave everything to the brotherhood. Until his bike breaks down in Uprising, Georgia, and a lavender-haired minx holds his bike hostage.
Jupiter Jones is unlike any other woman.
Her brother has been moving drugs through the garage. They would bring in a vehicle; he’d swap the packages from one car to the other. Complete a basic oil change or fit new brake pads so she remained unsuspecting. When they saw the Kings MC there, they assumed he’d crossed them. When Grant got shot, he moved the drugs, knowing the cops would be crawling all over the garage. But he missed the window for the exchange. Now both sides are gunning for his blood because they think he’s dealing with the Kings. “I already told them I have the merchandise, but they no longer want it. They want me out altogether and if I don’t come up with the money for the drugs, they’re gonna burn the garage to the ground and come after me.”
Approaching Ruin she asks him to allow her to be in one of his snuff films. She figured this was the fastest way to make fast money. Ruin narrows his eyes. “What kind of trouble you in?” “I ... it’s not me. It’s Bobby Ray. Chaos would kill him for running drugs through Kings territory, especially when he found out that a rival motorcycle club is involved, not to mention this organization in Atlanta. “He took some money from the garage’s account and invested in something that didn’t pay off.”
Not only is Tink (Jupiter) an angry feminist who’s wild in bed and a master under the bonnet, but she’s also a fiery speed racer.
There is a brief glimmer of his ex, unfortunately her appearance fails to generate any emotion or notice.
Entertaining.

When nomad Bear’s Harley breaks down he meets Georgia’s feisty mechanic Jupiter Jones who comes to his rescue. She is not your typical girl…she is tough, tiny and knows her way around tools. She is also very easy on the eyes. Jupiter doesn’t do bikers but can Bear change this little pistols mind? When she has some trouble, Jupiter might need Bear and the MC’s help. Omg, I love these two together! From the very first page you’re hooked! I also love that Jupiter is in my height family…petite girls rule!! What a great MC romance and a definite top read. Don’t worry there is also plenty of action! This does deal with PTSD from the war. This is a stand-alone but you do see the other MC members from previous & upcoming stories. Told in dual POV

I liked this book, but it wasn't my fave by Carmen. I didn't mind the main characters, but unfortunately I didn't connect with them the way I would've liked. The whole premise of the club and Tink's personality and all those sorts of things were really great, I just don't know I was in the right frame for this book at this time.
Carmen is great a world building and always writes great books - I always look forward to what she is bringing us next, and I think I would still be interested in reading other books from this world.
Bear by Carmen Jenner is part of the Kings of Carnage series but can be read on a standalone. The book focuses on Bear and Jupiter. Bear is a gruff, former military and nomadic. Having left his MC chapter in Tennessee, he’s now in Georgia but with a broken-down bike, he’s kind of stuck. That is until he meets the fiery Jupiter, a purple haired beauty who takes no prisoners and certainly isn’t impressed by Bear or his alpha-male attitude.
Bear has an instant attraction to Jupiter, but it certainly isn’t reciprocated at first, it is only when he family run mechanics gets into trouble that she starts to become more open to him and then their relationship becomes a no holds barred as they navigate their relationship as well as try and stay alive when a rival MC tries to cause issues.
There is a lot of action, passion and snarkiness going on in this book. We also have the typical MC setting with gruff and protective men who don’t always say what they mean and come across as Neanderthal’s. But they are redeemable and all they need is a strong woman, which we definitely see in Jupiter. Not only is she looking after her family business but also her brothers whilst trying to sort out her brothers and reign Bear in.
If you like strong men and women, some bloodshed, dirty talk and some sexy times then this is the MC read for you!
Explosive! That is the only word that comes to mind when I think of this book! Bear and Jupiter and explosive in every possible way! From their argument to the heat between the sheets these two are straight up addicting and hot as heck!
Bear is one grizzly, growling alpha and he does not back down from a challenge! When he meets the smart mouth Jupiter he knows he has to have her and let me tell you she puts up one heck of fight! Their push and pull is angsty as heck and leads up to an explosion of heat when they come together!
This is one of the hottest books from Jenner that I have ever read and I loved all of it!
When Bear and Jupiter meet it’s definitely not love at first sight. She puts him in his place and I loved it. I loved her feisty attitude bundled into such a tiny package.
The chemistry between the two is fantastic and there’s enough affection to make it feel genuine. A little dash of daddy kink kept things interesting.
Add in some MC violence and action plus great supporting characters and I was a very happy reader.
Jupiter and Bear meet and each is abrasive towards the other. He has left his mother chapter in Tennessee and is a Nomad. Jupiter runs her family automotive shop and pretty much mothers her brothers. When things start to heat up between them, an unforeseen problem arises. When Bear steps up to help Jupiter it becomes more than he was expecting. He puts it all on the line to help and avenge her family. Jupiter, for her part, was pretty abrasive and did have some dramatic tantrums that caused me to not like her so much. She didn't come across as a feminist so much as she did a toddler. I was not too connected to either character honestly. It wasn't my favorite of the series.
There are MC books, and then there are real MC books. This one falls into the latter, and it’s pretty brutal as a true MC book would be. You can probably guess what some of the things that will go down, but also expect the unexpected. This is number four in a series of books, and even though you can read it on its own, I’d recommend starting from the beginning of the series. I feel it will give you a more rounded picture of the other characters, what they have been through so far, and the dynamics of the charter. I didn’t and I followed along just fine, so if you choose to only read about Bear and Jupiter, you’re in for a wild ride.
Jupiter is running a mechanic shop along with her brothers and finds our hero Bear in need of a lift and someone to fix his bike. There’s an instant attraction but they don’t hit it off straightaway. It’s definitely a love-hate-love relationship and I think it’s due to both are so stubborn but Bear can’t keep away from his purple haired TinkerBell. She drives me crazy and the feeling is mutual but the chemistry is stronger than both of them. Jupiter’s workshop gets caught up in biker business and it takes all Bear’s strength and contacts to them and the charter out of trouble.
This is not the normal genre I read daily, but I do like to head out of my romcom zone every now and then, and a CJ book will pull me in. It’s a quick story, but I feel it’s not for the faint hearted. This love story deserves to be told and read, but it’s messy and ferocious and savage - they are not called the Kings of Carnage for nothing, so be warned.
Ok so, I haven’t read the other books in this series, which looks to be by different authors, I just went straight to this one as I like Carmen Jenner books and I had it already on my kindle. And while it can be enjoyed as a standalone, there’s a lot of characters and relationships I think would have made this story better had I read the other books first. My bad.
I really liked Bear and I loved Jupiter! They had a great little enemies to lovers romance and I enjoyed the club aspect of it. I was hoping for a bit more grit and drama with the club, everything was sorted very quickly, which I suppose can be expected given the length of the book. It was very sexy as well which is always good 🤣
I’m definitely interested in revisiting this series from the beginning and really getting to know everyone, especially Ruin and his lady, and who I’m assuming is Chaos’s daughter (I can’t remember her name or the name of the guy she’s with - my bad).
While I prefer the heroine to be smart and sassy, Jupiter was an antagonizing bit¢h. With the life Bear had, he deserved some love and kindness. Her constant caustic tongue, always ready to fight even when it wasn't called for and hitting below the belt I wanted Bear to get in her face and put her in her place. I gave this story 3 🌟 in spite of Jupiter, because I love Bear. She ended up being just what he needed and she loved him in spite of herself.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review.

This is a standalone complete enemies-to-lovers romance and is also the fourth book in the Kings of Carnage MC -Prospect Series. However it can be read as a standalone and is the only book in the series I have read and I didn't feel like I was missing anything from not having read the other books. This is the story of Bear and Jupiter. These two meet when his motorcycle breaks down and she comes to the rescue. He expected it to be the members of the Georgia Kings of Carnage MC but what he got is a feisty little thing that is rescuing him. She is not your typical girl though. She is mouthy, tough, tiny, and knows her way around tools better than any man he's ever seen as a mechanic. However the one thing she swore she would never do was get involved with a biker. Bear is a super hot member of the Kings of Carnage but when one of his brother messes with his wife he becomes a nomad to get away from it all. He also carries some serious scars from his time in the military and serving in Afghanistan. To say he has been through it in life is a understatement. He has this instant attraction to Jupiter when she meets and it is not long before trouble comes calling for her and she is going to need Bear and his MC. This book had me hooked from the very beginning and I absolutely could not put it down. I fell so in love with Bear and Jupiter and the story they had to tell. I'm not going to tell you about the story as I don't want to give away anything for those who will be picking up this book and reading it. This is on of the best MC books I have read in a while. You do not want to miss it.
Well, hello Carmen Jenner! So nice to have you back AND writing in the MC world. I love a good MC book and Bear was just that. Gritty, dark, explosive, some laughs and a love story all wrapped into one.
Bear is book 4 in the Kings of Carnage series that has been written by a variety of authors. While this is book 4, it is a complete standalone and you do not need to read any of the previous books. This was my first and I didn't feel lost or like I was missing out on anything, BUT now I want to read more in this world because the characters were quite intriguing and I'd love to see what the other authors bring to their members of the MC.
Bear starts out with him rolling into town with a broken down bike. Jupiter finds this biker and brings him and his bike to the shop and promises to work on it. They have an instant and undeniable hate-love chemistry that you know will just burn up the pages if they give in to it.
Bear is big, bad, full of tattoos and a past that he doesn't share with anyone, but it affects him each day. He no longer belongs to any one MC and is Nomad. He belongs to no one, but is always there to help his fellow brothers. While he waits for his bike to be fixed, drama will come knocking.
Jupiter is a petite spit fire that gives as good as she gets and is one bad ass little chick. She runs the mechanic shop and is basically the mother hen to her brothers. She's the one that takes care of her family. She not only can work on cars and bikes, but this chick is fierce and can race cars with the best of them. Don't mess with hot babe as she will surely put you into your place. When one of her brothers gets in a bit of trouble, she is there to pick up the pieces. But Bear won't let her do it alone.
These two can fight it all they want, but it's fun to see these two banter and fight their attraction. Once they get down and dirty, I didn't want them to stop. They just have IT. Along with these two and their banter and obvious chemistry, we also have a dangerous story taking place. Ms Jenner writes a well plotted out story that is fast-paced and page turning. The danger, the pain and the connection between all the supporting characters makes for an exciting book. The MC is all about the brotherhood, but how far will Bear push that and will Jupiter be along for the ride?
I'm excited to read more in this series because I am liking the other MC members and the way they all relate to one another. Give me a well written MC series and I am there. Bear was a great start and I need more.
Jupiter Jones comes to Bear’s rescue when his Harley breaks down as he makes his way to the Kings of Carnage MC compound; that first meeting between the pair sets the tone for many of their encounters to come.
Jupiter’s not your average girly girl, she may have the candy-coloured hair and be easy on the eyes but she’s a tough, tattooed, tiny slip of a woman who knows her way around a toolbox, loves muscle cars and enjoys burning rubber… oh, and she doesn’t do bikers, which doesn’t bode well for Bear, but can he change this little spitfires mind? Put it this way he’s determined to try. Trouble heading Jupiter’s way sees her at the mercy of Bear and his brothers from the MC, however Bear doesn’t have all the power it soon becomes clear that the petite, lavender haired beauty has him by the short and curlies. Bear might be the “Daddy” but he’s well and truly wrapped around Jupiter's little finger, neither one of these two were looking for a relationship, let alone love, but maybe it was fate which brought them together that day in the dust at the side of the road, leading towards an exciting, action filled future for the pair of them.
Part of the Kings of Carnage MC, Prospects, Bear is the fourth book from a series of six, each one is written by one of six bestselling Authors who we all know and love, it’s an amazing MC romance read, jam packed and filled with lots of "edge of your seat" action as well as addressing the consequences of having been at war as we witness Bear deal with having Post-traumatic Stress Disorder.
From their first meeting, with the chemistry there was between them, you just knew that Bear and Jupiter were going to be one hot, hot, hot couple, I loved the whole “Daddy” trope between them, which was a huge surprise as that’s not my thing, well not usually, Carmen Jenner has been the first Author where I haven’t been uncomfortable with the “Daddy” word being used, damn the woman done it good.
I feel like every story in this series just keeps getting better and better!? I really, REALLY loved Bear and Jupiter's story so much. We got a few sneak peeks of who Bear was in previous books, especially on Saint, but we had no idea what all he had really been through, not only during his time as a Navy SEAL but with his old club in Tennessee. We learned that he was a POW, who was törtürëd, beat, and left severely scared. Not only physically but also mentally. He felt as though he was repulsive and didn't deserve to be loved because of his physical scars. Then he joins the Tennessee KOC charter to have the brotherhood he had when he served and to feel the sense of belonging once again. That changes when he is cheated on by his òl lady and one of his brothers. He decides to leave and go Nomad and to put a barrier around his heart so that he's never played with again. That changes when his bike breaks down right outside of Uprising Georgia, and a tiny, beautiful, lavander haired beauty named Jupiter Jones comes to his rescue. They are instantly attracted to one another, but Jupiter's been burned one too many times as well and doesn't want to let any man in. She doesn't want to depend on anyone but herself. Things quickly take a turn for the worse, and Jupiter and her 4 brothers are all in danger! Bear does whatever is necessary to keep her and her siblings safe. So much happens, but eventually, they get their well-deserved HEA. I definitely recommend this book and the rest of the series as well! Can't wait to see what happens next in Crow's story!
Bear (Kings of Carnage MC - Prospects #4) by Carmen Jenner Review ♡ 5✨ 4🌶
I absolutely adored this book!! It is the third of this series that I have read and I have fallen in love with all these characters. I actually think Bear’s book might be my favourite so far!
The story follows along Jupiter and Bear who are both as stubborn as each other but Bear is insistent to get into her heart once he gets a glimpse of it.
I absolutely loved their fight and passion for one another but also how they want to kill each other sometimes as well. I loved how quickly Bear fell in love and let her in as it’s usually the male character that won’t let the other in but it was Jupiter with all the resistance. I love how strong Jupiter is, the fight she had in her but also how she races for fun and runs a garage; I feel like they just fit together so well.
I love how Bear feels insecure because of his scars but still lets her in and in the end feels truly loved by her. I adored their passion and sexual tension and how much he protected her; but also how the club protected her like family as well before she was even his. I also love how at the end we got a glimpse into their future by getting Bear’s reaction to big news (I won’t spoil it!!) I just love them so much!!! Definitely one of my all-time favourite couples!
Everyone, please check out Carmen Jenner and the King’s of Carnage - Prospects series; it is truly amazing and will not disappoint I can promise you that!!!
To start with, I only read this series because I wanted to read this book because I love this author.
I took a risk cos normally if I dont like a book I will stop reading the series. So even though the previous books were 2 and 3 star and way below par to Carmen's writing thankfully I did continue cos this book is bloody adorable!
I mean seriously i love the hulking damaged Bear and his adorable tink aka Jupiter. The story is great and keeps you interested and the sex is hot af. Holy shit their porn scene was so hot, only complaint was it could have been in more depth n longer. The chemistry sizzles between these two.
Plus we get more actual biker action, albeit its a bit too easily resolved.
Love carmen jenner who so far is the only one that's written a 5 star book in the series. The closest being 3 stars. She just has that edge, the right pace, and she know how to write a sex scene thats smoking.
Jenner has saved the series as far as I'm concerned.
Frankly I hate these multi author collaborations cos what we end up with always is mostly mediocre authors hitching to the band wagon of the excellent ones but we have to wade through the bad to get to the good n thats painful.
Great book.awesome book!! Now wheres my husband?:)
From the moment I seen this cover I have been itching to read this (and also because I love Carmen's work 😘) but seriously, this cover.....🤤🤤🤤
Anyway! Back to Bear and Jupiter - Bear has left his previous club and gone nomad (they'd have went to ground if it was up to me! You'll see what I mean 😉) anyway, he's on his way to Uprising, Georgia to meet up with that chapter when his baby breaks down!
In steps Jupiter, this mouthy, short, purple haired, sexy as sin smoke show who offers to take it to the garage - he just doesn't realise it's her garage and manages to peeve her off!!...he best not be on a hurry to get it back 🤭
Cue the drama...there's humour between these two, it really is a case of grab a bag of popcorn and sit back and enjoy the show when these two start! But the sizzling attraction between them? Bam!!!! Nothings ever straight forward though, when the garage comes under attack, can they be sure why?
Drama, violence, very hot and steamy scenes and a world of people I want to know more on!!! Excellent read Carmen! 4.5
*I voluntarily received an arc from the author and this is my honest review.
I haven't came across a Carmen Jenner book that I didn't like. For me there were pros and cons to her newest book, Bear. Pros: Bear is a cocky and sexy MC member and will do everything to protect his MC brothers and those he cares about. Jupiter is a tiny whisp of a woman who is pretty badass and runs her families mechanic shop. Her brothers also work there and she pretty much the family matriarch. I enjoyed their enemies to lovers chemistry. It was like a cat and mouse bickering and fighting their feelings for one another. Cons: I like MC romance every so often and yes, I did enjoy this book. However I do not care for sex scenes when the two involved call each other "Daddy" and "Baby girl". Ewwww. And there are a lot of these scenes. Hell I read erotica and romance novels and I enjoy reading the sex scenes. Just not the daddy/daughter complex during sex. *Gag* I also didn't care for Bear calling Jupiter his bitch or just bitch in general and her being okay with it. Very degrading towards women.
I like my MC books gritty, dirty, and a little bit dark. Bear delivered on all counts. I could not put this book down, anticipating how this story would unfold. A great MC read by Carmen Jenner.
There was more to this book than MC violence and sex. Along with a detailed plot, we were gifted with well developed, muliti-dimensional characters. Bear the giant ex Seal, and Jupiter the pint-sized small town mechanic, are definitely opposites who attract. I enjoyed discovering Bear's vulnerabilities and Jupiter embracing them. Details and well written dialogue made these characters leap from the page.
The chemistry between Bear and Jupiter is off the charts. Tension is the understatement of the century with these two. The sex scenes are hot and leave nothing to the imagination.
This was my first book from this series, although it is book four, it can be read as a standalone. I will be checking out the other books in the Kings of Carnage - Prospects series.
Wow well Carmen Jenner is back and Bear is a hot and feisty story indeed! If you like the TV series Sons of anarchy then your going to love this King's of Carnage Mc prospects story... Nomad Bear is not a biker to be messed with...
We meet Bear and Jupiter and wow the chemistry between them straight from the beginning was just mind blowing.. But in a very good way! All I'm going to say is don't get in the way of Bear or Jupiter, they both stand for no messing.
The story is full of fire, angst, sexual tension, nitty gritty, danger but hot as hell!! I highly recommend everyone to go buy Bear and enjoy the hot sexy biker, I will not be forgetting about him anytime soon... (Swoon ❤️) 5 feisty and hot stars. ⭐🔥⭐🔥⭐ There is also couple more books by other authors of the King's of Carnage Mc so I will definitely be investing more time reading them.
Bear is one of the hottest and most adventurous MC stories of 2021. This much anticipated masterpiece was impossible to put down and unbearable to part with. From the very beginning, these characters beguiled me. Feisty Jupiter was a dynamite little spitfire that needed no man and could bring Bear to his knees with very little effort. And she did. From the moment Bear's eyes landed on her, she was his. Bear carried scars, inside and out, but honour and a deep sense of longing made him pursue Jupiter with a relentless tenacity
With drama that will make your hair stand on end and chemistry that will leave you breathless. Bear just kept on provoking all the feel good emotions in delirious delight. Arousing is just one quick and concise description of what a reader will get can anticipate when reading Bear. Carmen Jenner continues to create characters that curl your toes and make you want your real life hero. Bear is definitely one of the highlights to this crazy year so far. 5 stars
Tinkerbelle and Tennessee are perfect for each other!
Bear is a great story; full of testosterone-filled alphas, sassy women, off-beat romance and suspense!
As Bear describes Jupiter “… she’s a mouthy, grease-stained little princess… feisty, rage-aholic feminist.” and he’s dead right but she’s a lot more as well. I absolutely love her character; she fights for her own way in life, has such great spunk and is extremely family oriented. Bear is another terrific character, he too comes across as one thing but has much deeper levels that even he is still discovering. Together they are dynamite and their intimacy is red-hot, passionate and explosive.
The suspense element in the story is an interesting one that takes an eventful path; one with a few shocks and some very unpredictable outcomes too—perfect!
I look forward to reading more in this great series.
When I first saw the picture of this book to me it looked like he was giving a sigh of relief... I think he was...lol. This is Bear and he is a nomad. He is also ex navy seals so he is definitely a badass.
This book has a lot more club action and the club goes to war. There is some heavy moments too because it shows that when you do something stupid and I mean really stupid against the good local MC club and they try to help you but you go it by yourself what happens to you and the ones you love.
Bear has been screwed over in the past and isn't looking for another heart break but he might be in for one anyways. There's two more books due in this series but only one more out... hopefully won't have to wait too long for the last one.
Bear is straight up all macho man wanting to be the protector. Not to mention the hot Daddy vibes all over the pages. And it is super entertaining to read all the work he has cut out for himself since he set his eyes in Jupiter. She is a head to boots spitfire and she doesn't make it easy for him. Full of trouble and a strong personality. But isn't it much more sweeter when she finally bends to his will? Although it's also extra sweet to read how she has him bending over backwards for her. I was not expecting some of the twists I encountered but they were good ones! This book is quite a treat!
I LOVED Jupiter Jones. She was one adorably badass heroine who was both feisty, smart, and hardworking. She was a perfect match for Bear. Bear had a ton of hang ups and insecurities, honestly it would have been a 5 star read for me if Bear actually addressed his issues/needs head on with Jupiter and worked on them. His insecurities about his scars and injuries just seemed to evaporate at the end of the book. This book is steamy, but heed possible trigger warnings like exhibition and filming amateur porn. There is a lot of MC action in this and it works well. The heroine is a great mechanic and also races cars (hot). The story just works well and I loved the writing.
“Bear” has pretty much everything you could want in a mc romance novel. It’s main characters have charisma and their banter to one another is really funny and natural. The sex scenes are very hot. One could have come across as very sleazy but the author does a fine job of making it tie completely into the story thus making it needed if not desired of the reader. I enjoyed this book more than I have any other recently read romances tbh. I’m looking forward to picking up another one of Ms. Jenner’s books because her characters in this book definitely brought the passion!!
This book was not great. I expected more from Bear. But his character in earlier books did not come across as a wanker but in this it did.
He calls her Bitch FFS. Nope. I’m all for alpha holes in books but he says it like “bitch, I told you to stop”. That’s not alpha hole that’s dick status right there.
Then when they’re in locked down the author refers to Leah. Who the eff is Leah? Then Sterling is kissing her and I’m like … ah so Leigh’s changed her name to Leah 🤷🏻♀️.
This is the problem when you have different authors write different books in a single series.
