Sure, he’d heard them toss the idea around, but he never actually thought his parents would seriously consider
packing up and moving to Indiana.
As soon as he confirmed the truth of the matter with his folks, he and Lissa would need to have a
heart-to-heart.
Susan tried not to listen as she fetched the laundry basket.
“It wonders me if they’ll consider the property across the road? Just went up for sale last week, Dat
said.” Mamm turned her attention to Susan. “What are you still doing inside, maedel? Get a move on.
That laundry isn’t going to fold itself.”

The Keeper is Book 8 of the Amish Country Brides Series by Jennifer Spredemann and I really hope that this series keeps going because with each book I am reminded just how much God’s Love Keeps us grounded and safe within his loving embrace if we truly believe in his love, grace, and the free gift he has so willingly gifted us all.
In this book you will meet Susan Miller who wants to leave behind her Amish life since she feels there has to be move than a life of chores, and Amish farm life, although she loves her family she also knews there has to be something a little bit more interesting in the English world.
You will also meet Joshua Beachy who’s family just made a move to a new community of Indiana it’s here that he is reunited with other members of his family but also he meets Susan.
You will be reminded just how important it is to settle your past before you can move on to the future God as planned for you yet at the same time trust in his free gift of everlasting life no matter how hard the path may be.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and I know you will as well. I really hope we see many more in this series.

This is an endearing story that focuses on two Amish young adults who are still trying to decide their path in life. Joshua’s life is turned upside down when his family unexpectedly moves to Indiana and he feels that he must go with them. Susan is discontent in her Amish life, and she wants to explore more about the English world before she makes a commitment to remain in their Amish community. When they first meet, things do not always go well between Susan and Joshua. But just as their relationship grows into something more than friendship, an unexpected turn of events separates them. Both have lessons to learn about life and love, and they also need to see the importance of having a close relationship with God, who is the ultimate Keeper of their lives.
I enjoyed getting to know these two characters. As always with this author’s books, I appreciate the spiritual emphasis on having a personal relationship with Christ as Savior. She always makes sure that her Amish characters have a true spiritual foundation.

Susan gets frustrated with her Amish life so she decides to venture out in the “English” world and give it a go. Little does she realize, the life she was used to and comfortable with is nothing like the new life style she is trying to transition into.
Throw Josh Beachy into the mix who just moved to the Amish community Susan just left, and you have a book full of excitement-from Susan trying to rent an apartment on limited funds, very little education, befriending a police officer and finally meeting Josh. Meanwhile, Josh is dealing with a current girlfriend that he doesn’t love, trying to keep Susan who he just met, out of trouble in the “English” world and also trying not to fall in love with her at the same time. You will read about faith and friendship and see how it plays a special part in each of the characters Iives. A good lesson for Susan to learn is that the grass is not always greener on the other side. I found the book hard to put down and enjoyed it very much.

I was so excited to read Jennifer Spredemann's latest book in the Amish Country Brides Series. It was another enjoyable Amish book and the beautiful cover speaks for itself. Susan is anxious to experience the English life. She tries to prepare for her life outside her Amish community. She meets Joshua and there is an instant attraction. This is their story and their journey to work out the issues that both need to work through.
I love how Sammy is still there to offer wisdom and advice to all seekers of God's truth. If you enjoy Christian fiction, you will definitely enjoy this book.

The Keeper is the eighth story written by Jennifer Spredemann in her Amish Country Brides series. This is a very inspiring story filled with love, family, and faith. The author has once again delivered a great read for her fans. This story has wonderful characters and a fantastic storyline which will have you believing in love at first sight.
I was not given a complimentary copy of this book to read and review. I was not approached to post a favorable response and all opinions are my own. I have rated this story with five stars for meeting my expectations of a wonderful story that I can highly recommend to others.

Not sure how this author always manages to capture my attention and bring the characters to life. She always gives me a new champion, this time I have two Joshua is sweet and caring and Amish then we meet Blaze and oh my! If you love Amish Fiction you need to read this ENTIRE series. Each one could be a stand alone, however the series will not disappoint.

One amazing read and delightful story from Jennifer Spredemann. When life throws Susan and Joshua's lives upside down and they must make a big decision. Sometimes things are not always as they seem and God has bigger plans for their lives.

This is Susan and Joshua’s story, book # 8 in the #Amishcountrybrides series.Susan wanted more out of life than just being Amish and having to live by all the rules of the ordung. She wants to explore the English world. But when handsome Joshua Beechy came to help on the family farm, she wondered if she could leave after all. Susan and Joshua hit if off from the start and she told him of her plans. He wanted to help her and keep her safe but really didn’t know how..so he talked with the best guy for the job, Sammy. He is the wisest man and knows his Bible for sure.. can Joshua help Susan? I love the Bible verses and there is always a great lesson in each story..and of course our wise Sammy... I was given an ARC book for an honest review, these are my own words...read it when it comes out, along with the other 7..then you can ask too! GOT SAMMY GOT GOD
