Fly With Me is part of Kristen Proby’s With Me in Seattle Universe.

Troy Bowie has no desire to do anything but fly the friendly skies at twice the speed of sound. The only relationship he’s ever wanted is one with the military. His career means more to him than anything—except his family. And he does whatever he can to be there for his parents and his siblings whenever possible. So, when the Navy gives him a few weeks off to attend his niece’s christening, he takes it. He loves being at home—at least, for short periods—but after a few days, he’s ready to get on his private plane and return to Hawaii to get back to work.

Until he meets an intriguing young woman with a broken heart and decides to help her put it back together before he leaves for his next deployment.

As a Navy brat, Priela Sloane traveled all over the globe—a lifestyle she valued but not something she wanted for herself. She cut a deal with her father and served her time in the military before heading off to culinary school. Now finally on her own, Priela wants nothing to do with strong, alpha males. And she sure as hell doesn’t want to date a fighter pilot. All the military ever did for her was destroy the only person she ever loved: her brother. However, Troy isn’t a typical Navy man, nor does he come from a typical family, and he keeps breaking down her defenses and proving all her theories wrong.

At the end of his leave, will she let him fly away, or will she fly away with him?

How do porcupines mate? Carefully. They may not look it on the outside, and in fact neither one of them really realizes it, but Troy and Priela are as guarded as the porcupines in that old joke. A couple weeks vacation to attend his new baby niece’s christening should be the same as every other time Troy has come home between assignments. But will the immovable object that is his heart be able to withstand the unstoppable force driving Priela’s need to see her brother’s name cleared? I loved seeing how open and honest this pair were with one another about their anti-relationship stances. There was a little bit of a fake relationship feel to my reaction to them: I just knew that no matter how hard they resisted, karma was going to teach them differently. The mystery that draws them together was filled with lots of twists and complications that kept me flipping pages to learn more. And what might have been the best part for me, was getting this chance to check back in on the extended Bowie family to see where they are now.

Troy Bowie's mother is always trying to fix him up when he comes home on leave. This time is no different, but she's invited several single females to this welcome home party. There's one in particular she wants Troy to spend time.

Priela Sloane is catering this welcome home bash for the Bowies. She's also been seeking information from anyone she can. She doesn't accept the Navy's ruling on her brother's death, she wants the truth.

The first thing Troy notices about Priela is her stance. She has a military bearing that one doesn't lose no matter how long you're out. When Troy's mother pushes them together, he convinces her sitting for a couple minutes is the best course of action.

That's when Troy learns the reason for her anger at the Navy and he makes a decision to see what he can find. He has already been assigned to evaluate her brother's flying for training purposes. Now he'll look from yet another angle of course he can't say anything because it's all classified but he'll try to get some answers.

The interaction between Troy and Priela really gets started when she invites him for coffee to apologize for being rude. That turns into a lovely day together and the possible beginning of a relationship. Of course there is also the ex that doesn't seem to go away. Now neither one of them wants a relationship, but isn't that always when things happen?

We see Jager and Callie in this one and also Darcie and Reid. Let me just say Troy babysitting for Jag and Callie's daughter had me giggling.

As Troy digs deeper, he finds he needs more resources and his friends definitely help out there. Boy do some feathers get ruffled with all this inquiry.

Plenty of suspense, some action and a relationship that goes up and down, then sizzles off the pages.

I hope Jen writes more of these delightful tales.

Love the Bowie family. When Troy Bowie comes home for a two-week leave from the navy he is thrilled. He can’t wait to visit with family, but also he is looking forward to the next challenge in his career. He is military through and through, and has no desire to have a serious relationship because he feels they don’t work, and his first love is the navy. His family is convinced they have found the perfect woman for him.

Priela Sloane is catering the welcome home party for Troy. She quickly realizes that his family (especially his mom), are doing their best to hook them up. Only problem is that she wants nothing to do with anyone in the military even though she herself is former navy, her dad is a retired navy commander, and she is still suffering the death of her brother - a navy pilot.

Most important to Priela is that she is hoping that Troy can help her find out what really happened to her brother. Troy gets pulled in deeper and deeper researching the mystery, while trying not to endanger his navy career.

Loved the intrigue to get to the truth, and the feelings that both try their hardest to fight. Loved the interaction of all the family and friends to both Troy and Priela. Highly recommend.

Troy Bowie is a Navy career man who has only ever wanted to fly. He is now part of the Delta Force and is on leave for two weeks to see his family. He has a new niece who he can’t wait to see as well as the rest of his family including a pregnant sister. They are a close knit family. The only problem is his mother is always trying to be a matchmaker with him. She has a surprise party planned for him and the caterer is a Navy brat Priela Sloane who vows never to fall for a military man. She is trying to find out what happened to her brother who was killed when his plane was shot down over Korea and feels he was a fall guy so was blamed for what happened being his own fault. When she meets Troy, a hero, her blood boils as she feels her brother was unfairly treated. A lot to the story but Troy sets out to find out what really happened as after viewing a video, there are parts that are red flags to him. He puts his career on the fine for her and realizes that he will either end up out of the military of become a hero. Find out what happens by reading this story of mystery as well as love. You can never go wrong with a Jen Talty book.

A beautiful and emotional journey for Troy and Priela. Troy Bowie, a Navy fighter pilot, loves his job and avoids long-term relationships. When he meets Priela Sloane he is intrigued as she makes it clear that she wants nothing to do with him. Priela is a chef and as the daughter of a retired Navy Commander, spent her life moving from country to country. The death of her brother Isaac, a Navy pilot, has left her uninterested in anyone involved in the military. She knows that the Navy’s report about her brother’s death is wrong and is committed to clearing her brother’s record. She explains her concerns to Troy unaware that he has been assigned to review what happened the day her brother’s plane was shot down. When his investigation causes events to spiral out of control, will he be in time to save Priela? I liked Priela’s determination to right a wrong and Troy’s realization that his lack of commitment was to protect himself from being hurt again. I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation from the author. (by paytonpuppy)

Navy jet fighter pilot Troy Bowie, is home for a couple of weeks for the christening of his niece. He is a decorated pilot who lives and breath to flying and being in the military.
He’s been hurt before so love and a relationship is not on his agenda, much to his mother’s demise. A woman who is always trying to introduce him to various ladies.
The moment he meets Priela Sloane, he finds himself questioning his views of life and a relationship.
The attraction is immediate, but Priela is not interested in a military man and is still mourning the death of her brother. A brother she believes the Navy turned their backs on.
Wanting to help Priela in finding out what really happened to her brother , puts him in a position he never expected to be. That of questioning the Navy.
Filled with a bit of mystery, family, and romance, this was an entertaining story.
I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

No suspense, no tension, no passion

I really want to be nice when I write reviews on books that are not my cup of tea. I recognize that the author has worked hard on this book and it is absolutely not personal. I also tend to be blunt so here goes nothing.

There is no "I can't keep my hands off you" passion. When they decided to move their relationship forward, into the bedroom, it was a romantic as a business deal. Broken up with descriptions of her bedroom there was no time to Have the tension build.

The same can be said about most of the book. Everything is rushed and feel half thought out.

I wrote more but honestly I don't want to tear the book apart. Final note they keep referring to him as career Navy but they say he is now Delta Force which is Army and while you can go from Seals to Delta you are no longer IN the navy if you are Delta.

The plot is well-written and flows smoothly. The wonderful characters are complex and believable. Priela wants to work on her catering career, not get into a relationship with a guy, especially a military guy. She was raised in a military family and her brother died on one of his missions, but she has trouble believing the final report the Navy delivers. Troy is home for two weeks on leave and not looking for a girlfriend. His career in the Navy is his love and doesn't think his career and relationship will work. Troy's family is always setting women in front of him, and this time, Priela is one of them. They find an instant attraction. I loved the story and the happy ending.

I received this ARC for an honest review

Troy Bowie is on leave from the Navy goes home for his niece's christening . He is used to his mother always trying to match make.

Whilst at his family home he is drawn to caterer Priela Sloan after a conversation with her. Troy relises that something he has been asked to look at as a training aid. Involves Priela"s dead brother and things di not add up.

Priela is convinced the Navy has made her brother a scapegoat.
When Troy digs things don't add up . Things that could derail his career and put them both in danger But his chemistry with Priela is something he never thought he'd ever have.

Great read.

Mothers take note. Sometimes a fix up really works. Troy is on military leave and has to endure the usual fix ups by his Mother. This time it works - sort of. Priela doesn't want anything to do with the military. Her brother was killed in a military maneuver and blamed for the accident. She can't get any real information about the jet crash so she gets Troy to help her. Troy has already studied some of the info due to his military work. Now he dives deeper and what he finds is surprising. He works with friends and Priela's father to get to the truth. There is an HEA with Troy and Priela but you have to read the book to solve the mysterious death.

This is Troy and Priela story. Troy is home on leave to see his family before moving to Virginia to his next post. His family is always trying to fix him up but this time it's with Priela. Both are to busy with their jobs to start anything or so they think. Priela is trying to find out what the Navy isn't telling her family about her brother's death. Will Troy ruin his career with the Navy to help her? This book has drama, suspense, mystery, emotion and romance. It's a fast paced read that won't disappoint.

I love Kristen Proby's With Me Seattle series and this book is part of the Summer Launch of the With Me Universe.

Jen Talty was masterful in finding the core of this serie with these wonderful characters. Priela and Troy are so meant to be with each other, but they are hesitante due to their issues and have to figure it out together. He is evething she doesn't want, but at the same time the attraction is so strong. Troy wants to stay in the military and live his life for his work, he cannot see it coming!

I just loved this book!

This is the first book I've read in this series. I enjoyed reading it, but a little lost with the other characters. I mean I know who Troys' sister and family are in relationship to him. Of course I haven't read Jag's story or Darcey's. But finding out about the truth about Issaac's mission was a really good story. HEA.

Talty’s latest takes us back to the With me in Seattle Universe and it was worth the wait. Troy and Priela are a fun couple that I couldn’t wait to see with an HEA.

Wow! I really enjoyed this one! To be honest, I wasn't quite sure what to think of Troy in the first few pages, but he quickly won me over. I felt there was a lot of growth with his character, which I like to see. He and Priela were just great together, and I really liked how they challenged each other. The plot was fascinating, and I loved the level of intrigue. I really enjoyed the ending as well! I hope there is more in this fun series!
