The first three books in the thrilling Texas Ranger Heroes series together in one set. Exciting suspense and sweet romance guaranteed.
Ranger Protection
When Dr. Tara Sims is robbed, she fights back to protect her daughter and nearly pays with her life. She’s rescued by Texas Ranger Grady West. Her childhood friend is now a handsome lawman, but Tara refuses to acknowledge the chemistry sparking between them. With a little girl to raise and a growing medical practice, she has no room in her life for romance.
Grady suspects the vicious assault wasn’t a random act. What he can’t figure out is why anyone would attack the single mother. He vows to protect Tara and her little girl while keeping his growing feelings for them out of the equation. Getting romantically involved with his sister’s best friend is more hazardous than hunting criminals.
As the threats escalate and evidence links the robbery to a homicide, Tara and Grady realize nothing is quite as it seems. Untangling a web of secrets makes them the target of a madman, and it’s only a matter of time before the killer strikes again…
Ranger Redemption
Megan Hunt blames herself for her brother’s murder conviction. She’ll stop at nothing to prove his innocence. A cryptic phone call from her aunt revives the case with newly discovered evidence. Megan’s aunt urges her to come home and trust no one—least of all her ex-fiancé, Luke.
Texas Ranger Luke Tatum was doing his sworn duty when he turned over information Megan gave him to the sheriff. But the consequences were disastrous. Seeing Megan again rips open old wounds and reignites feelings Luke thought had long faded. But he has a job to do. Megan’s aunt was nearly killed in a car accident, and Luke suspects it was staged.
To uncover the truth, Megan and Luke must put their painful past aside and work together. Yet the secrets surrounding the case are more sinister than either imagined and exposing them could prove deadly.
Ranger Courage
As chief of police for Harrison University, Avery Madison expects to spend her days buried in administrative paperwork—until a murdered woman is discovered on campus. She asks Texas Ranger Weston Donovan for help. The former football star turned lawman is heartbreakingly handsome, but Avery has put romance on the back burner. Discovering her fiancé's infidelity left her questioning the type of man she chooses.
Weston believes Avery is in danger. The killer left a taunting note addressed specifically to her at the scene, along with the pawn from a chessboard. What Weston can't figure out is why Avery's been targeted. He's determined to protect the courageous woman while keeping their relationship strictly professional. Losing his wife to cancer five years ago nearly destroyed him, and Weston won't risk falling in love again.
When a second woman is murdered and Avery's family is threatened, Weston's worst fears become a reality. The man they're hunting is a monster known only as the Chessmaster. Every move the killer makes is designed to bring Avery deeper into a twisted competition of life and death...one she's not meant to survive.
Lynn Shannon is a Publishers Weekly bestselling author of inspirational romantic suspense.
After moving from Texas to Greece, Lynn turned her passion for reading into a love of writing. She lives with her husband, two children, an extremely spoiled dog, and a pair of chirpy lovebirds. Experiencing life in a new country has introduced her to delicious foods—like Yemista and Kourabiedes—which now share a place on her favorites list alongside pecans and Blue Bell ice cream. She also never passes up coffee, chocolate, or the chance to watch cute animal videos.
Amazon doesn't provide page numbers for this book set so I used the actual story text page number (of 218 pages) for book 1 to compute those for the other two books: 353 & 330
#1: Ranger Protection 3* 3/3/23 (218) Dr. Tara Sims, Grady West; doctor in private praxis & Texas Ranger; single mother, BFF's older brother/younger sister's BFF
#2: Ranger Redemption 3.5* 3/21-22/23 (353) Megan Hunt, Luke Tatum; defense lawyer & Texas Ranger; second chance; corruption
#3: Ranger Courage 2.5* 3/27/23 (330) Avery Madison, Weston Donovan; chief of police & Texas Ranger; serial killer, obsession
Lynn Shannon knows how to draw a reader into a world of intrigue and romance, all wrapped up in a layer of faith. This collection features three Texas Rangers surrounded by a stellar cast of supporting characters. I appreciate the realism of each storyline and the lack of love triangles. Each tale has plenty of angst but it’s a united effort to fight evil. And the evil is of the most believable kind from unexpected sources. Truly a stunning collection of inspirational romantic suspense.
This box set includes the first3 books in an interconnected series. Each book could be read as standalone but some of the characters overlap between multiple books. Reading in order will help with the back stories and make reading more enjoyable. Texas Rangers find their match while working cases that puts them in danger. Serial killers, stalkers, kidnapping, abuse, second chance, friends to lovers...
Mix former military men with strong women, slow sizzle romance, and suspense… and that’s Lynn Shannon’s forte. The culprits aren’t readily discernible, which I like. The endings are satisfying. I’ve read them all.
I read a variety of books and I have learned to skim over parts of the books that are no interest to me. These books were refreshing to read. On top of that they were greatly enjoyable.
Three Texas Rangers become captured by love. The pot & kettle come into play as officers banter amongst themselves & the women affecting their lives. Reading flows well. Suspense maintained throughout.
These three books are about Texas Rangers and 3 of them finding the love of their lives. Not normal dating ways but through twisted killers trying to kill them. Bad idea for the bad guys. Great reads. Big D
This wonderful three book set has romance and suspense. Each book is full length and well written with so many twists and turns, the mysteries will keep you guessing to the end.
