Wireless LANs is a good book explaining the core concepts of the WiFi/IEEE 802.11 protocol. Being a fairly old book though (written before IEEE 802.11g) it only explains the very early WiFi concepts such as CSMA/CS.

This book is old now but at the time, it was one of the few books out there on 802.11b networking
