This is the 13th book in A Freshly Baked Cozy Mystery and it is a nice read. In this book Allie and Alec travel to Wisconsin to the wedding of Allie's son Thad to Sarah. But then murder occurs.
I like the atmosphere of this book. It feels like being on holidays. The book is nicely written. Looking forward to read next book in the serie.

What a great book!!!!!!

I love this series!!!!!!
Allie and Alec are going to Wisconsin for her son Thad's wedding to Sarah and meet her parents and stay with them until the wedding.
As they were getting to know each other Emily and Bert Stone started showing them the neighborhood and shopping and going to a baseball game.
The neighborhood was a nice quiet and safe area unti!..... Caitlyn a neighbor across the street was found in her house by none other than Allie, Emily and Alec.
Who and why? Could it be a nosy jealous neighbor, the teenager that takes care of the dog that is in love with her, a woman who hated her for a reason no one knew why or the ex-boyfriend that has a hard time accepting the breakup of their 3 or so years of their relationship?
Caitlyn had a good life, she was from money, had a great new business that was doing well.
Someone couldn't accept Caitlyn's so call bragging or her work alcoholic ways.
Now pick up this book and read the book!!!!!
You won't be disappointed!!!!!

It was time for Thad and Sarah's wedding, so Allie and Alec found themselves in Wisconsin staying with her parents who turned out to be super nice which calmed all Allie's apprehension about staying at someone's home she didn't know very well. In fact, she and Sarah's mom, Emily made a great sleuthing team! Being naturally curious to begin with, Emily fit right in as Allie's sidekick away from home lol.

I could tell Alec was just drooling to get in on the investigation but didn't want to be pushy after the neighbor across the street was murdered, but the detective was friendly to him and luckily kept him in the loop. Something gave me a hint fairly early as to whodunit, and it turned out to be right. It was interesting to see how and Allie and Alec might come to the same idea.

I'd love to see Emily come visit in Sandy Harbor and have her sleuth with Allie and Lucy--Alec could tease they were Alec's Angels, lol!

Allie, Alec and family are in Wisconsin to attend their son’s wedding. While there they meet the in-laws (Emily and Bert Stone) and stay at their house. They plan on relaxing and enjoying the sites but the young woman across the street is murdered and thus goes the vacation. Allie and Emily, with help from Alec, investigate the murder. Join Allie and Emily as they discover the clues, the lies and the truth to help identify the murderer. This was an enjoyable and fun read. The characters are very likable and the story flows well. The author kept my attention and interest throughout the entire book so much I had a hard time putting the book down. Nice plot with great lively, vibrant characters that add a depth to the read.

Allie Blanchard and get husband Alec travel to Wisconsin for her son Thad's wedding to Sarah Stone. They arrive a week before the wedding so Alec can go to a baseball game. They are staying with Sarah's parents Emily and Bert. Not long after their arrival they hear a scream. The neighbor across the street Caitlyn Goff is found dead in the floor of her living room. The scream was from neighbor Diane Voss who was going over to visit Caitlyn. Alec unofficially discussed the case with the local police while Allie and Emily speak to friends and neighbors and father clues. There are several suspects but the murderer is unexpected.

some folks are lucky enough to do what they love for a living, even if they have to work hard at it

when a pretty young neighbor loses her life, the motives are not entirely clear

did someone love or hate her to death? or did a thief just get an unwelcome surprise and find her at home at a time she normally worked?

drama during a family trip for a wedding

A real page turner with a good plot, fun characters, lots of suspects, clues and red herrings. Everything you need in a well written cozy mystery. I'm a bit proud that I actually did guess the "whodunit" in this story, though it was very well done and I wasn't totally sure till the end.

This book is well along in the series but can be read on its own, is available in Kindle Unlimited and is a fun distraction. Not my first by Suzette and won't be the last.

Even though it was predictable and pretty obvious who the culprit is early on, it was still a good cozy. With a change in scenery from Maine to Wisconsin, crime still follows Alec, Allie, and family when the neighbor across the street is found dead. Without state jurisdiction, Alec's PI chops are put to the test as he tries to unravel the lies to determine who is at fault.

But Nothin' Ever Happens Here !! . . .

Allie and Alec head to Wisconsin to attend their son’s wedding. They are staying with the future in-laws, Emily and Bert Stone, and look forward to some relaxing vacation time, perhaps sight-seeing. Instead, they hear a scream from across the street and find a young woman murdered.

They do what they can to help investigate the murder, searching for clues. Who killed the neighbor? And why? Grab your copy and follow along to find out the solution.

I like Alec and how clever he is as he investigates murders that occur. I didn’t expect the killer to be who it actually was.

This was another quick, easy mystery but I definitely enjoyed Fall for Murder more. I thought the storylines with that cast of characters was more fascinating and the autumn vibes made it so cozy.

This story takes place in late summer so it was lacking some of that coziness for me.
