She was left behind eight years ago. Now he wants her back. Can a broken elopement become a relationship to last forever?

Rebecca Walton still suffers the sting of rejection. Forced to work with the man who jilted her when they were college students, the ambitious television show creator refuses to let him break her heart again. But though she works hard to maintain her distance during production, she’s furious when she finds him working in her parents’ mansion looking too good to hate.

Dale Chance carries a huge regret. Suffering from noble intentions that failed to keep him warm at night, he can’t forgive himself for hurting the woman he loves. So when a high-end renovation project puts her within arm’s reach, the master carpenter is determined to do whatever it takes to rebuild her trust.

Eventually agreeing on a truce to bury their painful past, Rebecca tentatively accepts the handsome contractor’s sincere offer of friendship. But Dale fears her demanding family’s unrealistic expectations may mean their fragile reunion will succumb to outside pressures.

Can this cruelly separated couple finally find the glue to hold them together?

Quick Summary: A forget me not, second chance romance

My Review: Restored by Nikki Kiley is part 2 of the Chance Brothers series. It features the relationship between Rebecca and Dale.

About the Book: Two people who were once madly in love are reunited through a work project. Things that were left unsaid and unresolved are finally dealt with. The future they always wanted could be theirs, if they take a chance on forever.

About the Family: Both families of the leads were highly involved in the couple’s relationship. Truthfully, Rebecca’s family seemed not to have heard her voice or experienced meaningful growth. I guess, in a way, the same could be said of Dale’s, although it did seem like they were more willing to show support.

My Final Say: This was meh. It was a little yes and a little no.

Restored - the second installment of Nikki Kiley's Chance Brothers series brings Rebecca and Dale together after an 8 year split which broke both of their hearts all those years ago.

Working on the same TV production, they're forced to get along no matter how hard they try to stay apart at first. I loved seeing them come together to work their way past all the outside influences that broke them apart in the first place.

Kiley's books always promise a great story with a happy ending and this book is no different. I can't to read more about this family and hope all the other brothers are each going to get their own books!

The story of Dale and Rebecca is the story of a love that began 8 years ago and ended in tears and leaving both of them with pain to this day have not yet healed.
Rebecca sees once again how her family does not take her into account in making decisions about her life and Dale too.
Dale will have to overcome the demons of his past if he wants to have a relationship with which he is clear that she is the woman of his life, he only has to convince her to forgive him and it is not going to be easy.
Very entertaining, I love the Chance brothers.

Second Chance romance gold. Dale and Rebecca's love story was great. I am now invested in this family. I can see the set-up for future hook-ups. Kiley has a way of writing that matches exactly what I am looking for in a romance. Dale and Rebecca were ripped apart 8 years ago, but they never stopped loving one another. They were able to find their way back, reconnect, and restore their dreams. I am hooked and biding my time until another book in this series drops.

I just loved this book. It was so well-written that it captured my mind, and I was dragged along for the ride. Once I started reading, I could not put it down until I read the last page.

I will start by saying that second chance romance is my least favourite book troupe.

Becca and Dale dated 8 years previously and were set to elope but he got cold feet thinking he wasn't good enough (I hate men the guy breaks up with the woman for her own good)

8 years later she is working on the show from the first book and he is Levi's brother

They go back and forth a bit. She says they cant be friends then she says they can. He is determined to win her back. She then suggest they just have some sex but he says no then there having sex.

There's some ex drama that we didn't need

There was a small subplot about his dad but it was kinda anticlimactic.

She finds out her own brother got in Dales head back then and shes angry. Then its done

There are some mistakes. He moved beneath her instead of beneath me. A character appears out of nowhere. There alone one minute then there's someone else there.

This book was OK and i think i liked it more than the first.

I went to download the last book and they are no longer on kindle unlimited so i wont be reading that i guess. I'm not buying one book from a series to read when i don't have the others and there not good enough to buy after I've read them once

I enjoyed Rebecca and Dale's second chance romance. There is drama, angst, secrets, and family pressures, as well as unexpected support. The Chance Brothers are supportive of each other and the behind the scenes look at reality at TV production is interesting as Rebecca fights for her chance to prove her worth. Very enjoyable.

Restored was a great book that truly lived up to its name. As a second book in a series this book brought back characters that I knew from book one, but which also offers itself as a wonderful entry point for new readers since it also is a self contained HEA. The book is a good, and enjoyable small town second chance romance read. The story has a good story line. The characters are good, and they have good chemistry.

I received a free digital copy of this book from a Goodreads giveaway.

Im DNFing. The plot was intriguing but it’s hard to understand anything going on because it’s the second standalone book in the series. Im sure it would be more enjoyable if I read the first one but the flat characters and jumpy writing makes me not wanting to read the first book.

Independent reviewer for Archaeolibrarian, I was gifted my copy of this book.

This is book 2 in the Chance Brothers series, and while not NECESSARY, reading book one, Renovated, might give you a better picture of this group of people, and also how Becca and Dale are around each other in that book.

Dale left Becca 8 years ago, and now she has returned to town, and finds him working in her mother's house. Dale always regretted leaving Becca, now he wants to make amends, but will she let him?

I really enjoyed book one, and while I did enjoy this one too, it doesn't quite hit THAT spot, and it pains me to say so, especially since I can't pinpoint why!

I liked that the bigger picture to why Dale left Becca isn't immediately obvious, it takes time for the full story to come out. I must admit, when reading, I kept thinking "there's something else coming" and then it comes, both from Dale AND Becca. So, it was a bit like watching a freight train coming at you, and there ain't nothing you can do to stop it. But I liked that, I really did.

I wasn't happy with the way Becca's mum and brother were with her, they totally put Becca down all the time. I wouldn't have been so forgiving as Becca is. Especially when the full story about that night, 8 years ago, comes out. I wanted to punch Becca's brother so bad!

I loved that Becca's friends are still looking out for her, keeping her heart safe from breaking but I also loved that Becca stands up for Dale, when her friends are dissing him, even before they decide to make it work between them.

Dale's brothers all play a huge part, and the foundations are laid for another brother to fall, whether that book is next, I'm not sure, but I will read it.

Even though it hits a different spot than Renovated, and that freight train kept coming at me, I still enjoyed this.

I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Rebecca is the producer of Renovated, a Miami-based home improvement reality show owned by her family’s TV network. When Rebecca returns to Miami, she is surprised to find out that Dale has been contracted to renovate her family home’s library. Eight years ago, they had a college summer romance, which ended with Dale breaking her heart.

Dale is one of many Chance brothers, who lives in a small town near Miami. Over the years, his love for Rebecca has never wained, and he makes the effort to build her trust again for a second chance for romance.

From the start of the novel, the sexual tension was off the charts; Dale managed to find her at various stage of undressed several times. There are a few open-sex scenes which were sizzling hot.

However, the novel digs deeper into their characters. Rebecca struggles with her family’s expectations of who she ought to be, and wants to be seen as an independent woman who knows what’s best for herself. Dale learns about forgiveness in both himself and family.

The story’s pacing was just right. There were a few facts and events that surprised me along the way, and helped to keep my interest. It was great to have characters from the first novel featured in this book (although as minor characters).

This novel takes place immediately after the events in “Renovated”, the first book in the Chance Brothers series. Although it is a standalone novel, I think readers would understand the setting better if they read the books in order. I look forward to reading about the other Chance brothers in future stories.

Rebecca Walton is an up and coming TV producer for a highly rated home improvement show. Even with her success, she feels like she is constantly having to prove herself to her family. At the age of 18, she meets and falls head over heals for the son of the construction crew owner who was hired to redo the family library.
Dale Chance is one of three adopted sons of a major construction family. When he meets Rebecca, it is love at first sight. Even at the age of 19, he knows she is the only girl for him. With the well-meaning interference of Charles, Rebecca's brother, Dale makes a decision that breaks the heart of the girl he loves... and his as well.
Eight years later, finds Dale and Rebecca reuniting due to her moving back home and Rebecca's family hiring him to redo the family library. Due to the decision that Dale made, Rebecca wants nothing to do with Dale, even though she still feels the strong attraction for him. They both have secrets, heartache and pain that they must face and conquer. Dale fights for Rebecca to give him a second chance. But will the pain of the past keep these two apart or will they be able to work through it together. This story has heart. One can literally feel the pain of the characters as they deal with the circumstances of life. With a beautiful HEA, no cliff-hanger and no cheating, I highly recommend this book.

Second Chances, Overcoming Family "Demons" and Sparks Galore!

This book has everything...Dale is given another chance with Rebecca now that they have to work together as adults - and of course there is a LOT that has happened in both of their pasts that they have kept hidden from each other. But the underlying attraction, and spark is so strong that they can't resist and the fun begins. The book is engrossing because of all of the underlying family drama in both of their lives and it eventually unfolds once they share how perfect and supportive they truly are for each other . This book is part of a series and the characters do crossover but it can be read as a standalone although you won't want to because the series is so good you will want to know all of their stories!

The second book in the series is also a second chance romance between Rebecca Walton and Lance Chance. Rebecca who is still fighting for her TV program with her father and brother is now faced with a person from her past when her mother wants part of the home she is staying at is being remodeled by Lance and his crew. Now they are back to where they were eight years ago faced to face with no words to say. Yet Lance still is attracted to her and if he could just talk to her maybe he could explain why he did not show up.
Rebecca not really wanting to talk to him does but throughout this book I really felt for her because I felt like besides Lance at times her father brother and mother really all put her second as much as she fought against it. Was not until the end that Lance finally begins to put her first, at least from my point of view. I still like the story and the characters.

Repaired Hearts

Nikki Kiley’s second book in her ‘Chance Brothers’ series has not only restored ratings but broke records. This storyline involves a second chance romance that is bursting with emotion. Dale and Rebecca, the main characters, were once lovers in college until Dale broke her heart. It’s now eight years later, they have been thrown together again working on a home improvement project. There are still strong feelings for both of them but they have called a truce to get the job done. There’s a lot of secrets that both are hiding. This story has mystery, suspense, adventure and romance that is so riveting you can’t put it down until the very last page. Highly recommended and definitely a MUST read!

Eight years ago, Dale and Rebecca were college sweethearts planning for a future, but it stopped when her family got between them. He is adopted and works for his families construction company. She is the daughter of a network owner, but wants to make it on her own as a producer. Now he is hired to renovate the family library for her show. They have to work together even though they are still heart broken from the past.
The characters are strong and supportive, with secrets and intense feelings still very near the surface. The storyline follows their struggle as they rekindle a relationship and learn to trust again. Love their chemistry and banter. Great ending that brings it all together.

Restoring trust and faith after a huge letdown isn’t as simply done than said, but Rebecca isn’t even inclined to give Dale a chance to try…or is she?
The road to happiness is a rough one for those two. Meddling family and friends are not going to be very helpful either.
I must say that I liked Dale more than Becca.. sorry…. But perhaps with time and some nice pop ups in the next book I will learn to like her more?!
Might it ever be possible that Jeremy falls for Sarah?… please pretty please? …
Lol. A girl can dream, can’t she?
Enjoy your read!

Just as good as the first book in the series!!

I had a great time reading this second book in the Chance brothers series. This book is perfect for fans of home renovation TV shows. The author gives us a peek behind the scenes of making the shows, plus we get to explore more of the family dynamics of the talented and gorgeous Chance brothers. I can't wait for to see who is featured in the next book and what part of the show's projects they will be working.

This is a second chance at love type book. Rebecca comes back to the family to start a new restoration show. She is using her childhood friends to be host of the show however this means she will come in contact with her boyfriend who broke her heart when she was eighteen. I really enjoyed the characters and their conversations between each other. The hidden meanings and double entrees were fun. I would recommend this book.

Rebecca has returned home to Miami after eight years to produce a new show for her family’s network. Dale has been hired to renovate the library in her parents house and is also working in the new show. They were in a relationship when they were teens when Dale ghosts Rebecca. Hurt feelings and regret consume both of them until they get out of each others way, try a friends with benefits arrangement and finally admit their feelings for each other. This is a quick, sweet read with a little bit of steam.

I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review. I enjoyed this story about Rebecca and Dale. They had a secret romance eight years ago, but it ended in tears. Now she's back in Miami and working with Dale on the show Renovated, that she's producing. They still have major heat between them but being afraid of being hurt again keeps them both on the toes. When they finally give in to fate all bets are off. The only issue is what the future holds. Great HEA in the making.
