And the benefits that befall you with such a position? The easy college access and high powered positions - the multinational firms.

But what is the cost?

Aria has lived the whirlwind life of a high society princess, but the pied piper has called and it's time to pay the cost to The Society for such a lifestyle.

Three months. That is what is owed to them. Three months of servitude and then she is free. Right? Because not too much can happen in those three months. The society
This book had me intrigued right from the beginning. Just the concept alone of the secret society and Illuminati. Well I was completely intrigued before l even started the book. It was the kind of that doesn’t need much convincing to make you want to grab a copy.
Don’t believe me, I suppose you’ll have to just grab a copy for yourself.
Along with the wonderful plot, there are wonderful characters. I loved Aria she’s smart, sarcastic, and sassy. She’s unafraid to speak her mind and it makes her such a bold individual.
Ajax is so amazing for her.
Aria + Ajax = phenomenal book couple. Readers will be sure to fall in love with them.
Another amazing book by a talented author. I highly recommend this and be sure to check out her other works.

WHAT THE FREAKING HELL!!!!
The Society blew me away, such a strong shocking plot, a beautiful dark romance.
Beautiful, confident and strong Aria goes to The Society for 3 months and I can't say anything else about that.
There she meets Ajax - Gorgeous, dark and fierce.
The attraction and chemistry between the two are off the charts hot - the scenes left me wanting Ajax babies damn that man!!
Shocking, interesting and hot that's how id describes The Society.
I need book 2 now, please... I need more Ajia (Ajax /Aria).

I have read Erin's MC books, which is very different from this book. Yet, I really loved this other vibe that Erin is giving me with this book. It had a bit of a mysterious tone to it. Plus, I liked that Ajax and Aria took longer before crossing the line to lovers. The language between them went from witty banter to language of love and passion.

Having not read this type of book from Erin, I was not sure what to expect in regard to what direction the storyline was going to take me. All I knew is that I would love it no matter what. The drama and suspense of the story really grabbed me and pulled me in. I could not stop reading and look forward to book two in this series.

The Society was a good book, a really good book. I read this book in one day because I could not get enough of this book and these characters.

The Society by Erin Mc Luckie Moya is an enemies-to-lovers dark romance with strong characters and a refreshing plot. Aria was born into a wealthy family that is members of a secret society. Members of this society get access to the best opportunities, the best education, and unimaginable wealth. In exchange, each member must “serve” the Society for three months as an adult. Aria decides she’ll attend The Society’s camps to pay her dues. There she meets Ajax whom she immediately dislikes and forms an enemy-like relationship with. Ajax is Aria’s roommate and partner in their assignments during the three months. There are so many lies, secrets, twists, and turns in this tale, but you’ll have to read it to find out.

Aria and Ajax have explosive chemistry, and the tension between them is palpable. Aria is strong, sassy, sarcastic, and not afraid. Ajax is the embodiment of a perfect book boyfriend. He’s a rebel and fights Aria’s fire with equal intensity. Seriously, these two were hot! The plot is also unique, and it revolves around a secret society with a bunch of power and Aria’s journey to learn about this society. This book is well written with great character development and a captivating plot. The drama, suspense, secrets, and lies will have you on the edge of your seat. The book ends on a mind-numbing cliffhanger and I desperately need the next book to know more about these characters and the world Erin Mc Luckie Moya has created!

Cool story

This was a great story. However the ending still feels like there should be more. The next book in the story isn't Aria and Ajax's story continuing. It is the other characters, which is stated they will appear in that book. However, while this was a good story, it doesn't capture my need to continue. Especially as the end felt empty.

The story is both of them growing up and being apart of The Society. Their life is already given to the Society and they must play their role with in it.

They both are trying to resist the calling to be bred together in order to fulfil their roles to them. However, The Society knows, they just don't until to its to late that they were aware.

Which leaves Aria having to run and create a new life. Then the book ended. Leaving the reader wanting more to the ending. Then that is it? They fell in love with each other and then she leaves and the end.

Maybe they'll get back together in the future books, but since the future books aren't their story. I don't want to risk reading another book in this series where it is the same thing, feeling like the ending ruined the whole book.

So I pretty much went into The Society blind and I had no idea that this was going to be one of those books that I didn’t know that I needed. I won’t say much about the book because in my opinion it will take away from the reading experience but what I will say is that I absolutely devoured it in one sitting and you should prepare yourself for that gut wrenching cliffhanger because it definitely packs a punch.

How do I formulate the review that this book deserves? I have not read anything like this and was instantly sucked into a story that not only kept me entertained from the first page but swallowed my heart by the end. Aria is everything I love in a female MC. She is sarcastic, strong, and unafraid to be herself even when she is under pressure or embarrassed. She makes hard choices, and she's honest with herself. Ajax is literal fire when it comes to the perfect book boyfriend. He's dark, mouthy, and absolute perfection in bed. I couldn't get enough of him in this story and don't know how to wait to hear from him again. Their story isn't over, which is good because I wanted to break some stuff when it ended. These two are stunning together. The story is mind-blowing, and I am hooked. I loved each character, too, and they all have such realistic qualities to them. This is a must-read series I will be purchasing in paperback, it is so well written, and the first intimate scene alone is one that left me speechless in love. One of the easiest five stars I've handed out this year. Grab it; you won't regret it.

😳 What have I just read?

Have you ever read a story where your expecting something to happen but it never does and you hate the story for it? And then you confirmed all your suspicions and loved the story all at the same time?

Well, this is one of those stories!!
My poor heart is broken. 💔
My heart still aching for Ajax and Aria! 😭

I hated that Ajax was put in that situation.
I hated that Aria was so naive!!!
But what I hated the most…… The Society!!!

This story will give you the suspense, the enemies to lovers banter between Ajax and Aria, the steamy scenes, but the one thing it won’t give you is a HEA.
Because I can’t see that ending being Ajax or Aria’s happily anything!!!

I had expected Ajax and Aria to run off to the end of times but that didn’t happened, which made me loved the story even more!!!

I received an ARC of the story and this is my voluntary review.

This is the story of Aria, who is born into a family who are members of a secret society. As the offspring of these families come of age they are required to do a mandatory 3 month intensive stint at one of the 'camp locations' to learn about the society, its history and pick up some interesting skills along the way. Aria has been sheltered by her parents and goes into camp completely blind having absolutely no idea of the power, the influence and manipulation she will be subjected to.
Ajax however is society royalty and knows all and secretly wants to rebel but must toe the line
With Ajax & Aria we have an enemies to lovers dynamic, but they are dynamite together but with all the secrets and lies and master plans the society has in place there is plenty of drama in this book.
Couldn't Put it down, reading one sitting!

This book was a really quick read for me, finishing it in only a few hours, and really enjoying it. It has the enemies to lovers trope, with characters that I really liked and was rooting for throughout the book. The chemistry between them was sizzling and it is to be noted that there are some steamy scenes in this book. I enjoyed the build up of the characters relationship and sensing the depth of their feelings grow as they spent more time together. I was disappointed when this book ended, as it felt a bit sudden, and I wasn’t quite ready to stop reading. However, this is the first book in the series so I shall look forward to reading the next instalment, hopefully in the not too distant future.

This was a gifted copy in exchange for an honest review.

I don’t even know where to begin with this review. I have so much to say, but I fear saying too much will give all the things away. I started & finished this book in a day- I didn’t want to put it down. Erin weaves a world of privilege, secrets & lies. Everything Aria thought she knew to be true was a lie. Was she ever in control of any of the choices she made? “Serving” her time with The Society she meets self proclaimed a$$hole Ajax. The chemistry between these two is palpable & they both fight the pull they feel. Neither wanting to get involved with a Society member. Ajax has a heavy burden to carry & doesn’t need his heart to get involved. Aria while naïve to the things that her parents shielded her from, is still feisty & strong. She’s not scared to speak up or stand her ground. Ajax is a beautiful disaster. The pressure of his family & The Society looms heavy over him, but he tries to find his own way to make decisions based on what he wants. These two are magic together. Truly. The steam, the pull, the rawness of them is *chefs kiss*. Erin broke my heart with the ending of this story, ugly tears & all, & I have faith she’s going to piece it back together with the rest of this series. Aria & Jax have so much more living to do.... together. The side characters in this story were great & cannot wait to read about their stories. Do yourself a favor & read this - I promise you’ll thank me you did.

“Hope was a dangerous thing, but not having it was more terrifying.”

I receive a free arc of this book & this is my honest review.

Ugh. Erin has done it again.

The Society is like a fast paced Gossip Girl, but with life or death mind games. Make sure you don't have any other plans when you pick this one up, because you won't be able to put it down.

The spicy scenes are SERIOUSLY hot, and the chemistry is palpable. I was immediately suckered into the world of the Society, and I need more, like... yesterday.

The Society by Erin Mc Luckie Moya

The main character Aria O’Luc is forced into three months of “camp” or servitude for The Society into which she was born. She has no choice but to get through it. Going in completely dark she has no idea what awaits her or what she will have to do to survive.

First, I am impressed with the creativity and ingenuity that went into creating The Society. Erin does a fantastic job drawing the reader in and leaving them curious and with endless questions. At one point in the book I was actually shocked about what the characters were willing to do for their “assignment.”

I rated this book at a ⅘ because I was able to guess some of the plot endings before they reached a climax towards the end. However, this book is a series and there is so much potential for more darkness and secrets to be revealed.

I find the whole premise of The Society to be intriguing and at times disquieting. I recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a romance thriller that gets flipped on its head. The ending may or may not upset people, it all depends on your reaction or possible relation to- The Society.

I was so surprised at how easily sucked in I was. This was my first time reading Erin Mc Luckie Moya and I've already preordered The Firm (the next book).

I read my trigger warnings. And thought oh this cover is deceiving. But as I read the cover made more sense. This book isn't dark dark. Which is what I'm used to reading. That's not a complaint. It's good to mix things up.

I loved the secrecy of The Society. I loved that we weren't the only ones in the dark about what really goes on there. Aria despite growing up in it has grown up oblivious to the world around her. She is aware of the perks and the easy life she has because of society and kind of resents it. She doesn't want this life, she doesn't want to give up the 3 months she's required to give them in exchange for everything she has. But she will. She just wants to coast through and then be done with it for the rest of her life.

Aria couldn't blend or coast if her life depended on it. The pretty privilege I guess. She does make some friends with other society members something she has been reluctant to do her whole life. And her friends really are the best. Loads of fun and really help the time pass (we will revisit this).

Her roommate though. Well, he's another story. I was rather surprised they bunked her with a male. Ajax is not your average Society member. No, he is the son of the leader, director whatever the head dude is called. Also, Ajax is kinda an A-hole but no worries he gets better. They end up having some fun times together. Aria isn't the only one unhappy with The Society. Ajax does everything he can to rebel and protect Aria.

Okay, let's revisit time flying shall we? This book was so well-paced. I sat down to read and the next thing I know I was almost done, and hours had passed. Unfortunately for me, I had an early day the next day and I had to put the book away (sometimes I'm a responsible reader) with like 32 minutes left in the book. It was tough but I did it. Only to pick it back up the moment I woke up.

There were twists and secrets revealed. I was even shocked a time or two. It was great!

WELL THAT WAS A JAW DROPPER!!!!!

I'm still reeling! Ahhhhh! Okay... I think I've found a NEW addiction and it's The Society!!!! YOU GUYS! I started this book around 11pm and my plan was to read until 12:30. Yeah, rightttttt!!!

BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER.

I had to forced myself to set it down. I had read and read and read and before I knew it was 2 am. The next morning I couldn't think. Not about ANYTHING but this book. I was obsessed. Intoxicated. Completely taken by what I read.

As I was at work, my mind ran a marathon, covering every little detail and scene my mind had soaked in. I couldn't get home fast enough. I had to finish it immediately. And OH MY WORD! Seriously!!!! THIS, friends, is your NEXT addiction. The Society is delightfully wicked in every single way.

The characters are truly amazing. Ari is beautiful, strong and confident. And Ajax - Gorgeous, dark and fierce. The chemistry between these two was so strong and powerful that I felt each moment Erin wrote. The heartfelt scenes and the twists just gripped me and had me devouring page after page.

I won’t say much about the book because in my opinion it will take away from the reading experience. I just don't want to spoil anything. Just trust me and go into it blind like I did.

Overall, I loved it. From the first words to the last, I was BEYOND hooked. This is book full of drama, sex, dysfunction, but also heart. The writing is good. The characters are enthralling. And the plot line is juicy. With plenty of twists and turns to keep you on your toes, it's an intoxicating read. It is the first in the series. However, I urge you to try it out. You'll LOVE it. I'm sure of it.

I NEED BOOK 2 NOW!!!

OMG! …

I had to sit on this review for a little bit because…WHAT!?! I was not prepared for any of it!
If you love when a book leaves you saying WTF as much as I do, then you NEED to start this series!
Aria even though born into the Illuminati was sheltered by her parents leaving her completely clueless in how the Society works. Ajax on the other hand was born to be the Illuminati golden child and know more than he wants to. So of course you know they clash like lightening in a bottle. They have to navigate their way through the societies corruption, blackmail, manipulation, and control. I was not prepared for how deep it goes and how powerless they really are in their own lives.
Book 2 is coming soon & I have a feeling it’s just going to get even deeper & twistier (yeah, I made up that word just for this).

I couldn’t put this dark romance down and binged it all in a day.
My emotions are all over the place and I feel quite stressed out after reading. It’s in no way a black mark and in fact my heart is pounding due to the brilliant writing.
Aria is the main character and she is stunning with Model like features and has a life of privilege due to the fact her parents are part of a secret society. The benefits are having everything you could want such as the best education, acceptance in the best university and on leaving a job opportunity no school leaver could ever walk into. But there is always a catch isn’t there. We the readers follow Arias journey into The Society and learn just what it means along side her. It’s not for the faint of heart but if you love a dark romance like me you will find this deliciously dark. Talk about delicious, lead male character Ajax sure is and the chemistry this pair have sizzles off the page.
Don’t want to say too much and ruin it for you but will say the revelation at the end wasn’t even a surprise but it still floored me. You need to read this to see what I mean so don’t miss out.
Are we getting more in this series? Gosh I hope so as the end could mean this ends right here but boy does it leave you wanting more.
I received an advanced reader copy in return for a non biased review. Top marks 5/5. Fingers crossed for more.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Aria & Ajax
Aria has been brought up in a Society family and knows there’s certain expectations of her. Yet she’s finding she was also sheltered from a lot of information as well.
Ajax is the son of the head of The Society and because of that there are high expectations of him. He is a playboy and not interested in Society women.
Aria and Ajax are partnered up for a Society “camp” where they have assignments they have to complete together. They get off on the wrong foot and have fun banter. They both grow into being open to this attraction after learning to work together.
The dynamic of this story is amazing. It’s 100% right up my alley and I love a good spicy romance that has banter, mystery, suspense and keeps me fully intrigued and not wanting to put the book down.

Oh wow so I was so not expecting this. It's definitely not a simple love story. It's an easy read and whilst it has dark elements it's not too heavy, so great for those that don't like it too dark and dreary, but don't let that fool you, definitely read the trigger warnings they are there for a reason.

I was hooked and intrigued from the beginning and the spice is great 🔥.

Fair warning it does not have a hea but I believe or at least get the impression that that may happen further in the series.

I received an arc of this book and I am leaving an honest review voluntarily.

Where do I start with this book? It has occupied my mind over the weekend, and I have not been able to put it down. So much chemistry, so much going on in the background. Do we really know what is happening? Are these characters even telling the truth to each other or to us? So many questions! I was so engrossed and may have thrown my kindle at the end (it made me sad), but of course, I downloaded the next one because this series is addictive—a must-read for steamy romance lovers and those who like a little intrigue and secret societies.

Oh wow this book caught me by surprise! Aria is one strong female especially with the lil surprise her and Ajax share. The way those two came together had me cheering them on . The society though I was just as surprised as aria was when they turned out to be worse than one can imagine. I can’t wait to read the next installment to this series.
