Tessa Reeves is on the run! She pulls up to the RV park in a junky camper and rents a space from Aaron Parker in January Cove. Aaron Parker can’t help wondering what Tessa’s story is. She has had such a tragic past and your heart will break for all she has been through. She is with her three year old son and Aaron can tell she is hiding from something or someone. LOVING TESSA is so suspenseful, the reader will be shocked how quickly they finish it. LOVING TESSA is a very emotional and heartwarming story.

Aaron has sworn off women after his girlfriend/fiance of three years, cheated on him. So Tessa is off limits to him, but he can’t help but feel for Tyler, her son. He knows Tessa has a wall built up around her heart, but then again, so does Aaron. But he can’t seem to stop himself from wanting to help them. LOVING TESSA has them both trying to fight their feelings for eachother, but also letting go of their past. Aaron and Tessa both have trust issues and watching them dance around each other is truly very funny at times. You can’t help but feel bad for both of them and all they are going through.

Rachel Hanna has quickly become one of my favorite authors. She made me feel so many different things while I was reading her heart tugging story. One minute I’m giggling and the next there is a huge lump in my throat. Aaron is attracted to Tessa and feels a deep connection to her he never felt with his ex. He must win her confidence to help her be able to live free. All of the characters are flawed in different ways, but you will find yourself cheering for them throughout LOVING TESSA I just wanted to reach in the pages and give them all hugs. The end of the story is filled with redemption, love and a renewed sense of hope, which rounds out this lovely story perfectly. I can’t wait to read more by this wonderful author.

This is just my opinion; keep in mind I am one person. Hannas books are over way too soon for me. I devour them in one sitting. The characters always feel like family or friends. The story is always a story to hold in your heart. I can't help but to wonder about how the stories continue.

I like romantic suspense, and the description of a mom and son on the run sounded like a good story line. But, nothing much made sense. The heroine and her son were locked in a basement for 3 years? Why weren't they malnourished and vitamin D deficient? Why would the little boy say that he hadn't wanted to leave? Those are just a few of the ridiculous things about this book.

This is a new to me author. On Facebook they featured her books so I thought why not.
I read the first January cove book last night and just read this one this afternoon.
One thing I enjoyed is she handles romantic situations in a clean way .
I will say if you have been in a abusive situation it might be triggering for you. But that being said I admire how she wrote about being in abusive relationship. That she gave the girl the strength to get out of it and hopefully if someone is in a abusive relationship it will give them the strength to get out of it .

Loving Tessa: January Cove Book 2 is by Rachel Hanna. Once again, Rachel has created an addicting series. This series takes place in a town that I certainly wish existed and I lived there. It is a quiet town with lots of nice people and plenty to do outdoors. It is a lovely vacation town.
Aaron Parker is trying to relax and forget Natalie at the fishing cabin. He isn’t having any luck. She really got him good. After three years of dating, you would think you would know someone. However, after he asked her to marry him, she changed. She rarely had time for him and began working late. She always had an excuse. However, he got suspicious and followed her. She and a co-worker left work together and headed to a local bed and breakfast. Aaron followed them inside and got a key to their room and walked in on them. He took her engagement ring which was sitting on the dresser and walked out on them. Staying at the cabin wasn’t working so he packed up and drove home, right into a storm.
Tessa Reaves was living in a nasty camper with her three-year-old son and a dog. The AC wasn’t working and the camper got hot. However, she still kept her son inside so no one could see him. She kept her trips outside with the dog to a minimum. It wasn’t the best for any of them; but it was what she had to do. She couldn’t let anyone see her and make it easier for Ethan to find her.
Tessa’s dog got loose that night and caused Aaron to fall in the mud with his bags. Tessa quickly got hold of him, apologized, and went back inside. However, it was long enough to make Aaron curious and to notice how beautiful she was.
Surely good news travels fast! Aaron couldn’t wait to find out who she was and why she was here.

Kept my interest

Loved the characters, but it was too similar to the first book in the series. There was a lot of repetition of feelings and thoughts, seeming to fill space. I did become engrossed in the story, though, and read into the night to finish the book. I will go on to read the next in the series.

This book was cute. It really reminded me of Safe Haven by Nicholas Sparks. It was a good story but could’ve been a little more original. Aaron fell a little to fast to quick and Tessa I felt was more of a rebound for him. I hope in the future books they develop a little more.

I listened to the audiobook version of "Loving Tessa," by Rachel Hanna. The book is the 2nd in Hanna's January Cove Series, and far better than the book that comes after it, which I read out of order. While predictable, I still found myself on edge through most of the book, knowing that Tessa and her young son, Tyler, were in danger as long as her ex-husband, Ethan, was still alive. Tessa and Tyler had escaped after being locked in the basement by their abuser, year after year. With no family, and no one who might have come looking for them, there was little hope to escape. When the chance arose, Tessa grabbed her son, and the small amount of money she had saved, and left, driving until she ran of gas in the trailer she had bought for $200. That was how they came to be parked in January Cove in a trailer park mostly filled with summer visitors to this beach town.
Aaron Parker, the youngest of a family of five kids, had been engaged to the woman he thought he would marry, until he sensed something was up, and followed her, suspecting he would find her being unfaithful, and he did. He should have been bereft, but was more angry than sad, and had no plans to look for someone else with whom to share his life. Months later, when he noticed Tessa and her son on the beach at dusk, he ran to rescue them when he saw that Tyler injured himself and needed to be seen by a doctor. He told them they could not stay in their tiny camper, with no air conditioning, and with Tyler needing to be watched and awakened all night, just in case he had a concussion. He insisted they spend the night with him in his cabin, just a few yards from her camper, and she agreed, albeit reluctantly. After many cups of coffee and much talking, Tessa nodded off, but Aaron remained awake, checking on Tyler, hour after hour.
Tessa knew that depending on Aaron, or anyone, to keep them safe was not a good idea. She planned to leave January Cove as soon as possible, but for now, she let herself open up to Aaron, sensing she could trust him with her story. He made some calls and was able to have someone, unofficially, watch Ethan's every move and to report to him if Ethan left town. Until that happened, Tessa was able to breathe a bit more easily. She and Aaron felt something growing between them, but she was not willing to ever fully let her guard down, or to fall in love. Her plan was to hit the road again as soon as possible.
There were some idyllic days at a hidden beach house, but Tessa never wavered from her plan to leave, and did not intend to compromise Aaron's safety. The pace of the novel picked up from there, as the safety of all involved came into question and the time for action was upon Tess. The way a dangerous confrontation played out was fitting, though not for Tessa, and it culminated as I expected. Despite sensing how things would happen, and what the end result would be, the feelings evoked in me were still heartfelt.
The book was short, and would be good for a long flight or day at the beach. There were some grammatical errors that made me cringe, and too many mispronounced words by the narrator (shame on whomever does the audiobook editing for not catching these), but the story was decent for what it was, i.e, an entry in a series that would have been better off being one longer novel, or as a few free standing novels, each longer than as currently written. 3 stars.

Loving Tessa is a beautifully written short story that delves into the harsh realities of escaping a domestic violent relationship and the challenges that follow. Tessa’s journey of finding strength and rebuilding her life is both inspiring and heartbreaking.

The story does a great job portraying the emotional and practical struggles survivors face while also highlighting the power of friendship and support. I really appreciated the realistic portrayal of Tessa’s obstacles and how someone’s kindness and understanding can make all the difference in such a situation.

It’s a touching and hopeful read that sheds light on an important issue while remaining relatable and grounded in real-life struggles. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a short yet impactful story.

Aaron Parker is trying to recover from being jilted and not looking for someone new. Tessa Reeves is on the run with her 3 year old son and unruly dog. When Tessa's RV gets low on gas she rents a spot at the January Cove RV Park. Then her dog gets the attention of Aaron and Aaron really notices the dogs owner. He knows someone hiding when he sees it and for some reason he feels the need to help Tessa out. Can he get Tessa to trust him? Has he met his soulmate and is he ready to take on a new woman with a small child? Great continuation of the series

Another fast paced addition to the January Cove series. This novella would have done so much better as a full length novel. I had a few problems with the plot and the decisions Tessa and Aaron made, but it was still a fine read. There was some suspense from the middle to the end that would have benefited from being more fleshed out. Without an emotional connection to the main characters, I couldn't fully appreciate the intensity of the stakes, even though I was aware they were high – especially with pacing issues. I also enjoyed that we got to briefly see Jenna and Kyle from the first book. I enjoyed this book enough to continue the series.

January Cove Book number 2

The January Cove books by Rachel Hanna are so good. They’re mainly stories about the five kids in the Parker family who were raised by single mother Adele Parker. The first book was about Kyle and this one is about the youngest Parker Aaron. Aaron is betrayed just weeks before his wedding by his fiancée Natalie. He’s more than heartbroken and thinks he’ll never recover when he meets Tessa and her young son Tyler. Very good story.

This is the second book in the January Cove Series. In this book you meet Aaron who is the Kyle Parker's younger brother. Kyle was introduced in book 1 The One for Me.
Aaron owns an RV park and Tessa rents a space at his park where she has a beat up RV she is living in with her 3 year old son. It is obvious from the beginning that she is hiding something. Aaron meets Tessa and is determined to find out her secret.

This is a great story with love, drama, a boy and a dog.

I loved it.

Just finished January Cove: Loving Tessa. What a fantastic book! Aaron Parker is just as sweet, kind, and caring as his brother Kyle. It must be a Parker trait. Tessa a woman on the run with her son. Will Aaron be able to help Tessa? Will Aaron finally find love after being hurt? Will Tessa ever be able to love and trust a man after all she has been through? This is a must read book to find the answers and fall in love with Aaron and Tessa. Awesome book, Rachel.

This was a harder one to read. It was a real situational hard love story. Tessa escapes with her son from being held basically a hostage in the basement while telling everyone she left him. He's a police officer so everyone believes him. She escapes and finally makes her own way to hide away. While in hiding meets Aaron Parker and she learns how a real man loves. It's a beautiful story.

This book is great and the author is on point with her characters. Tessa is hiding and with her little boy ( 3 year so) , what is she hiding from? Living in the campground with Aaron being the owner what will become of them? The secret Tessa is hiding could hurt them all.
Love this author and the narrator.

Another swoony love story I didn’t want to put down.
I liked the way they ended up meeting, how she came to be where Aaron was. The protectiveness in Aaron is what ever girl dreams of. Some to make us feel loved & protected always. There was no lacking of feeling in this book and I’m now on to the next one. Really really loving this series!

Aaron is running his trailer park when Tessa shows up. She has a toddler son and an unruly dog in tow and seems to be very secretive. Aaron gets her to trust him and they work to mend each other's broken hearts.

Another easy, fun read from Rachal Hanna. There's a small plot, which proves how Tessa is a strong woman. It's a short book, and perfect beach read...I'm onto the 3rd, in this January Cove book series.

Typical Rachel Hanna plot formula. The details of the background made this one more interesting (as well as making the endless litany of reasons why a relationship will never work actually believable, for once).

Loved the story

So proud that Tessa stood up to the beast who had held her and her son captive. No woman should be treated like Ethan had done. Glad that all ended well.
