I just can't get enough of Hanna's books the setting the plot the characters. It's all good.

i knew that Clay was in this story, more than a broken nose deserved Jim, im glad that all the brothers have their family but im missing the story of Brad, and maybe some love for Adele and Mr. Gibbs :)

The outcome of each book in the entire series has been quite obvious from the start - no surprises! While it was a light read and somewhat enjoyable, I think it was a bit too much "fluff" for me.

Just ok
I thought this was an ok read, but there were some things about the story that I didn't think made sense. Why, for instance, the heroine thought she couldn't handle being a single mother when she'd been raised by one who seemed to have done a good job, plus three of her brothers were involved with women who were single moms. I also didn't get why, if she had her own design firm, she was bartending for a while. When she finally calls the firm to see about doing some jobs for them, she's shocked that her soon-to-be ex-husband has taken over and installed his lover. First of all, who did she think had been running it all this time, why wasn't it her, how was the corporation set up that he could just oust her like that, and why would you put a secretary in a designers job and expect it to succeed. There were just a lot of details that didn't add up to me, that seemed to be inserted into the story to contrive drama. I thought the premise of the guy who loved her all along was sweet, but the details didn't jive.

Love found
So enjoy reading these series books by Rachael Hanna. The only problem is that I am able to predict the conclusion after only one chapter in. Nonetheless it was enjoyable to meet and follow the members of the Parker family. I find much of Rachael Hannas books and her writing style very similar to Danielle Steele. I just prefer all of the beach coast towns in my summer reads. I would definitely recommend the January coast series for a sweet romantic read.

While not my favorite of the January Cove stories, it's a good read nonetheless. I wanted Addison to be a bit stronger and with a family like the Parker's I didn't really understand her resistance to relying on them. I do love Clay though. He's a simple man who loves deeply and will do anything for those he loves. Great character! I would recommend this one.

I listened to the audiobook version of "Finding Love," the 4th installment in Rachel Hanna's January Cove series. [Goodreads does not list the audiobook as one of the formats, but it does exist!] I have never been more frustrated with the narration of a book as I was with this one. The narrator was a cross between a high school girl trying to sound dramatically sophisticated in her school play, Scarlett O'Hara in Gone With the Wind, (I could imagine the reader saying, "Oh fiddle dee dee") and Katherine Hepburn declaring, "The calla lilies are in bloom again." You know, that really affected way of speaking that film actresses used in the 1930s and 1940s. It was all so stilted and fake. I cringed the entire time I was listening to the book! While I am complaining, I will also mention that the author, who is not an older woman, used wording that needed editing considering this is the 21st century. She referred to the main character, Addison Parker, as having a baby "out of wedlock," (rather than "on her own," or "as a single mother"). She used the word "whore" for women who have an affair, while using "stud" for a man in the same situation. My head was spinning. Addison was not a child. She had been married and was going through a really ugly divorce. She returned home to January Cove to be near family, to regroup, to make a plan, and so that her family could help her through a difficult time.
Addison is the only female, other than her mother, in the large Parker family. All her brothers look out for her, and would like to see her soon to be ex-husband rotting in hell. She had lived well in Atlanta, but her ex is threatening to take it all, claiming she contributed almost nothing, while he made a large amount of money as an attorney. He was the cheater, but she has no proof. The divorce laws in Georgia were made to sound archaic, as if he could keep everything, when it is, actually, an equitable distribution state, so assets might not be divided equally, but they will be distributed fairly.
So, Addison is home, pregnant (though not by her husband), and has bumped into Clay, who was a friend of her brother's and whom she knew and liked, but was never someone she dated. They now get to know and trust one another, and to feel something more than friendship. This is complicated, but the heart wants what it wants. Addison worries that when Clay learns she is pregnant, he will think badly of her, and not be interested. She struggles, for a while, with how to proceed in her pregnancy. Should she have the baby at all, and if so, should she consider adoption?
The story, itself, is not a bad one. I did care about Addison and Clay, and definitely despised Addison's nasty ex-husband. There were some sweet scenes, some heartbreaking ones, and a big misunderstanding which lead to a separation, but in this genre, there are always happy endings. If only I could have gotten past the cringe worthy sound of the narrator's voice, I might have been a tad more generous with my 3 star rating.

Ahh another beautiful Rachel Hanna book 🥰
I loved this series. I love how the characters are all intermingled together and stuff from the previous books are sprinkled into each book since.
Addison (love that name btw) is a lovable character from the start. She has a secret and she’s ashamed of what has transpired in her life. Haven’t we all been there? But she is struggling with a life changing decision and finding true love all at the same time. 😍
Clay - I had such a vision of him as a character. Tough man who stays close to home, even though he could probably do and be so much more than what he’s doing. But he’s content and knows that where he is and what he’s doing is what is right for him. Who cares what society says or dictates. Love that about him.
Will they be together? Will the Parker brothers be supportive? Will Adele finally find love herself??
Read it and find out! On to book #5!! 😘😘

Thank goodness for her loving, non-judgemental family. Maybe, she will be able to get her life back on track. Into the picture steps, Clay, her childhood friend, and her brothers' loyal confidant. He has loved her forever, she just doesn't know it. A very good read.

This could have been such a stronger book. It started off very engagingly, however I felt that many of the details included in the book were unnecessary to further the plot – Which is especially a problem when this is a novella and not a novel. – There should have been more time spent on establishing the relationship dynamic between Addison and Clay, and less time on Addison's internal monologue and the drama happening in her life. Some plot points didn't even make sense. Regardless, the book kept me entertained and I will continue the series.

Finding Love by Rachel Hanna was such an enjoyable read! This book was full of surprises, and I loved how it tied up so many questions I had about Addison. The story answered everything I was wondering about her, and it was so satisfying to see her journey unfold. The characters were fantastic, and the strong sense of family love really shined through. I especially appreciated how they always had each other’s backs—it added so much heart to the story. Rachel Hanna continues to deliver wonderful reads, and this one is no exception. Highly recommend!

This is book four of January Cove and in this book we meet the Parkers only sister, Addison.
This is another great book. Addison has returned home for Christmas and has a secret that she doesn't want to share with her family. She is afraid they will be disappointed in her.
There is also Clay who has been friends with the Parker families their whole lives.
This is a great story. These books have really made me wish January cove was a real ;lace because I would want to go there.

Just finished Finding Love, book 4 in the January Cove Series. This was another fantastic book. My heart went out to Addison. She has been through a lot. I would like to choke her soon to be ex-husband, but Clay took care of that for me. This was a great read. I loved having her family all in this book. It shows what a strong family tie they have. Each watching out for Addison. The ending was great!!!

Can’t believe how much I am enjoying this series!
Just finished Book 4 (in less than 2 days!) and can’t wait to start Book 5! So glad I ordered all 10 at once, so all I have to do is “turn the page!” Each book can be read as a stand-alone, but am so glad I’m reading in order! Just love these stories!

While trying to take control of her life she has to fight her growing feelings of attraction to Clay. Clay has loved Addison from a distance for years. Now that she's free, will she let him in?

I just loved this story. It is a love that passed the test of time. It's a hard story but Addison makes it through a cheating husband, makes a mistake, and ends up pregnant but that's all in backstory. She bumps into an old friend that has always loved her and it's just a great story.

This whole series has been a delight. It makes me want to be a member of the Parker family or one like it. This one focuses on the sister and her setbacks in life and love. It also focuses on second chances and unconditional love.

Am so enjoying Rachel Hanna’s books. This is my second series. Again, the characters are a little flawed, hesitant to love, and totally believable in a storybook world.
