Unable to fully function in society, Kevin spends his time in virtual worlds to chase away reality and go on fantastic adventures. Despite his many adventures, he never lived a life that truly spoke to his soul. A life that was taken away before it ever truly started.
When the beta test for a new virtual MMO called Monstar Saga went live, Kevin was one of many players lucky enough to gain an early access key. The game boasts a fantastic and epic adventure where players can be any kind of fantasy race, except human.
Lured in by the chance at a new gaming experience, Kevin joins the MMO to carve out a new destiny. What Kevin soon learns is Monstar Saga is not just a game. He will fall into a new life where the monsters live and darker threats lurk just beyond the veil.
Monstar Saga is an epic, isekai fantasy adventure. It has farming, light kingdom and town building, action, intrigue, cultivation, slice of life, and unconventional relationships.
I really enjoyed reading this book. The main character was genuine and enthusiastic about his new life in the game and that made reading the book a lot of fun. The fighting was engaging with the climactic fight especially intense. There were a couple of curveballs at the end that really amped up my appreciation for the book. Eden Redd outdid herself with this new series. I can't wait for the next one to come out. By the way, there's a 4-some scene that's really interesting.
I really like this story it is well developed and as time goes along I enjoyed the worldbuilding and the characters interacting with each other. The main character is relatable to me and the things he does makes sense. The circumstances he finds himself in, he sets out to make the best of the tough situation and find his own place in the world. I like the way the characters each had their own personality and I like the way they interacted it made sense and did not make me feel like they were shallow. For me it was a very interesting story and as time goes along it becomes deeper and more thought-provoking. And it had a nice romance touch to the story that did not take way from the story. I would enjoy reading another continuation to see what happens next as it left elements on the end for a continuation. If and when it comes out I plan on buying it.
First, I’ve read Redd’s Pirate GF series, and it’s fun, but this one blows that series out of the water.
I liked that the main character is not the normal run of the mill human, and I love that there are monster girls, especially the cow girls, or taur! (It may or may not be your thing, but after this book I’d bet it’s more of your thing than not)
There is plenty of action, dialogue, and adventure in this one, and by the time I was finished I wanted to read more.
Redd’s writing has improved dramatically, and I truly feel the interactions between the characters are believable and really move the story along.
I think my favorite part about this one was the town/kingdom building aspect, along with the farming. The things the main character does to level is unlike anything else I’ve read.
This is yet another VRMMORPG (Virtual Reality Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game) gone wrong and stuck in the game. The players are "monsters" in this game. It is an extremely boring story, with no real game system inside the game just an Artificial Intelligence "helper". But because the servers crashed, there really is no game, and then the main character settles down in an extremely boring town and gets a farm, supplies the farm and it is a real chore to read. 1000% totally sleep-inducing. No maps, no real game-like system, no inside illustrations, no character summaries, no real world-building (geopolitical, economic, social, religious characteristics and descriptions). No real character descriptions (personality traits, skills and abilities, background information about each character and what they are doing, where they are going, etc.) I do not recommend this video-game-gone-wrong-like fantasy-story.
Loved this book, I find all of Edens books good but this is one of the best. The storyline is entertaining and has a novelty that distinguishes it from others in the genre. The MC is a complex moral character that is easy to emperthise with even if he's not human!!. I love that the suporting characters are fully fleshed out and an integral part of the story. The storyline is excitingly paced and the erotic content complements well, The story itself is good and complete but there are a number of questions posed thoughout the book that bode interestingly well for book two.
A disfigured human treated like a monster. Now trapped in a new world as a monster. This is a good series start for a story with an interesting point of view. As a monster and with monsters. No humans in the world... Yet? You relationships are fund and organic. And certainly growing.Amc library is desperate to know what has happened to him and the fate 'He is in for. Looking forward to learning more about this world and future books.
More than I wanted to know about certain…things, but a good read.
This was a fun, raunchy read. I wasn’t expecting so much descriptive writing about dragonkin genitalia, but hey the storyline kept me going. Give it a go but definitely not for kids or anybody who describes themselves as “basic”.
It's pretty good It's a mix of isekai, litrpg, slow farm building, action, mystery harem the women are interesting 😉 but the xxx scenes are kinda boring hello dragon c*** umm yes please but no the author waxes poetic to clinical for a little while and then fades to black which is annoying and sucks cause for me that's the best part. But it's a good story
I really like the lich and I hope the author doesn’t kill him. The book was great like how he uses the level progression, it can feel slow at times in the book but besides that it’s great.
For what it is, it's a very good book. Lots of sex, but that's to be expected so caveat emptor. It was a easy read, with enough plot elements to keep it interesting. If you like the author's other works you should like this.
Well I love this awesome piece of literature the world building and characters are incredible! The story and action will have you devouring this book! I cannot wait for the next one!
So glad to find a new book with an actual storyline and some characters with character. Now I have high hopes that the author continues to tell the story with the intimate scenes actually a spice and not the point. Worth waiting for story content and character growth. Well done.
This has a good idea but it does not execute it properly.
The world is fine. The simplified statistics are good. The characters are flat and the main character is bland and boring. By the end, the story feels forced and you never really get involved.
World building at its best!!! Unique and interesting characters, enjoyable adult fantasy action and adventure to keep you focused for hours!!! A truly enjoyable story and I hope the beginning of a great series!!! A wonderful piece of enjoyment, Eden Reed!!!!!
It's just a great story with interesting characters. It has just enough adult content. A lot action and great plot twists . You get to love the characters.I can't wait for the next episode.
This is the first book from this author I have bought, but I have been interested in her other books. This book was very well done, had great action and the main romance progressed at a good pace. Looking forward to the next book.
Loved the characters in this story. So many had interesting twists to their history. Reminded me of playing Stardew Valley, except with monsters and a hint of empire building.
I like this new concept, no humans\elves bring so much new character to the story. I can't wait to experience the next phase of this excellently executed story.
I'm a recent convert. And I'm thoroughly enjoying Ms. Redds work. This story is exactly as the title describes; a saga. A deep, immersive story. Can't wait to see where this leads, more lewdness of course, but the tale being woven is awesome.
The MC was too unbelievable, scripted like cringe old style comic's hero. Trying to look the strongest, the smartest, the best, while in reality he was the complete opposite, but as he was the MC all other characters was of course looking up to him. How could they have survived before he appeared makes me baffled. Dropping this series.
