Author’s Get ready for an intense, emotional and steamy billionaire romance with a happily ever after and no cheating! Each book in this series is a standalone and can be read in any order.
Overall I liked this book. Evelyn is attacked one night and Julian saves her. They soon find out that his daughter is her best friend. He tries to fight his feelings but in the end they get together. They got a happy ending which was nice. However, at times Evelyn was immature and seemed to run away a lot. That got on my nerves. Thankfully in the end she finally stayed and they got their happy ending.
Evelyn is on her way home one night when she is attacked. Out of nowhere someone comes to her aid. Julian stopped to help when he saw a young woman being attacked on the street. Once the attacker ran away Julian offered her a ride home. Evelyn accepts and a connection between them starts. She goes back to her life and he does his but neither has forgotten the other. When her friend Hannah invites her to a event her dad is having Evelyn had no idea that she would run into Julian. However he acts standoffish towards her and she doesn't understand why. Julian can't believe the woman he has been wanting turns out to be his daughter's best friend. Can Evelyn convince him to give them a chance? What will this do to her friendship with his daughter?
This is an amazing story that will captivate you from beginning to end. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

it could use a fresh set of eyes before publishing.
I'm not sure what happened when this book was being proofread and edited or even if the author has anyone to do that, but there were several very obvious errors throughout the book. in the earlier pages at her birthday party, she was dancing with Mark, on the next page it said she was still dancing with Mike. there were several things mentioned towards the end that they knew about each other yet it hadn't ever said anything about them telling the other at any point in the book. Book magic I guess. aside from all the errors (storyline and proofreading, typos, etc) it was a decent storyline. I would have liked the author to elaborate more on certain things. like how the guy found her TWICE, how she knew it was him that attacked her in the alleyway, how he faked his death when it says earlier she has flashbacks of seeing his dead body on the bed.
This is the 5th book in this series and is Julian and Evelyn’s story. When Evelyn is saved from an attack by a mystery man, she never expected to see him again and they did not exchange names. When Evelyn attends a party at her new best friends’ house, she is taken aback when she is introduced to her mystery man, who so happens to be her friend’s dad. The sparks fly between these two, and the chemistry is combustible and undeniable. Julian being a workaholic is already on shaky ground with his daughter, so going after her bestie is forbidden. This is a good story which is a slow burn, and filled with angst, emotions, humor, intrigue, and is a steamy read, I look forward to reading more from this author and I recommend her work.
I started out good, but then when Jullian stated to Evelyn that he would always talk to his deceased wife's spirit , that would turn me off of a relationship. I mean I understand he loved his 1st wife ,but what a Buzz kill. Then when they marry and name their daughter after his 1st wife. Sorry, but not sorry no way in the world would I ever do something like that. Marriage is a lot of work and hard sometimes but to have to live in the shadow of the 1st wife and then name my child after her. 😳🥺🤷♀️
An age gap romance read. This wasn’t my favorite of the series, it had drama and heat between Evelyn and Julian but I wanted more. I appreciate how the author introduces the sensitive subject and overall an okay storyline, but it wasn’t as enjoyable as the other book in the series.
While I love a good age gap romance, this one was problematic from start to finish. It was very hard to believe that the MCs fell in love in the middle of an attack when they barely spoke. It wasn’t a love at first sight moment. I did like some of the story between the father and daughter. But I just felt that I had to keep suspending belief over and over again. It was okay, but not amazing.
First time reading this author. I can say it was amazing. It had the feels of a good story telling. It had its ups and down, drama, chemistry. Lol, read it in one day so I would say it’s pretty good. Look forward to the next adventure
I really enjoyed this book and all the characters. I felt for Hannah having to navigate the relationship between her long time single lonely Dad Julian and her best friend Evelyn who had a traumatic past. I’m highly recommend this book.
Older man younger woman the heartbreak from losing first wife and never letting someone in. Only to find out the new woman is your daughters best friend. A must read
An age gap romance. The main characters have off the charts chemistry. The plot was filled with twists and turns and drama. It was easy to follow and has an HEA.
This book reads like a 14 year old girl writing fanfiction after just discovering the angst tag, which some people might think is a bad thing, however I am not one of those people.

Evelyn and Julian are in a 'forbidden' relationship. He is 15 years older and the father of her best friend. Evelyn had a really rough time growing up and is now scraping by to survive and attend nursing school. Julian lost his wife and was left to raise his daughter, Hannah, who is now 19. In his grief he dove into work and his relationship with Hannah became virtually nonexistent.
One night Julian steps in to help a woman in an alley as she is being attacked. When he looks into her eyes he sees his soul mate but after driving her home they part not even knowing the other's name. Well until Evelyn attends a party at her best friend Hannah's house. Evelyn coming face to face with Hannah's dad, Julian. Both fight the attraction they feel but have momentary slips. Neither wants to hurt Hannah. Can they live like this? When Evelyn's past comes back can Julian keep her safe?
This age gap romance didn't feel strange due to the maturity of Evelyn. Most of the time she came across as older and wiser than her years, I think, due to her struggles. This story is full of angst and is a slow burn until it combusts. I couldn't help but root for the couple. I did feel bad for Hannah being kept in the dark. Her reaction to finding out their secret wasn't so much about Julian's and Evelyn's relationship as it was about the betrayal and jealousy she felt.
There are parts of the story that seem to progress slower than others but it didn't really affect how I felt about the story overall. As I said I was rooting for Julian and Evelyn's and I think you will too.

Forbidden Daddy is the fifth book in the Forbidden Fairy Tales series. I have read and enjoyed a number of other books by R. S. Elliot but this is the first book I have read in this series. The story is about Evelyn and Julian who first meet under the worst of circumstances but he comes to her rescue. They only exchange first names and then go back to their own lives. But later their paths more than collide when Evelyn is invited by Hannah, her new best friend and fellow nursing student at Rory Meyers college, to a dinner party her father is hosting. Well you can imagine the surprise for both of them when they recognize each other and also then the fun begins.
This story deals with a lot of darker/emotional situations so be warned. But it is also a sweet and lovely slow-burn romance and love story between an older man and younger woman with the taboo of best friend's father/daughter's best friend added in. This may not be a real fairy tale but they do have a happy ending.
I received a copy of this book and am leaving my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
FORBIDDEN DOCTOR will consume your emotions from the beginning, then break them up into little pieces until R.S. Elliot slowly and carefully puts them back together again.
Adrian and Stevie have something special from the first night they meet. Then reality gets in the way and Adrian is Stevie’s boss and teacher, and Stevie’s uncaring father is Adrian’s boss. The forbidden workplace romance takes its toll and the roller coaster of conflict, jealousy, heartache and tragedy takes them far away from where their hearts belong.
It has been quite some time since I have read a romance that had my heart aching through most of the story. If I had been in a different mood, I might not even have been able to read it because I can’t stand to see characters struggle while forcing themselves to stay apart for some misguided greater good.
Stevie and Adrian eventually get their HEA and you will have to be ready for some angst to enjoy going on this journey with them.

Evelyn has escaped a horrible childhood by moving from Oregon to New York to become a nurse. She meets Hannah in nursing school and they bond. She knows that Hannah is not struggling to make ends meet while Evelyn is working a part time job and lives in a sketchy neighborhood. One night coming home from the café, Evelyn is attacked. Luckily a good Samaritan steps in and saves her. She feels an immediate connection to Julian but knows she’ll never see him again. Evelyn and Hannah become best friends and one night Evelyn goes to Hannah’s house for a sleepover. Hannah’s dad is hosting a small get together and Hannah wants Evelyn there so she won’t be bored. That night Evelyn discovers that Hannah’s dad is Julian. She feels the connection again but tries to ignore it. Will Evelyn and Julian resist each other? Will Hannah find out about their connection? Will Evelyn lose everything? Does anyone have a chance at a Happily Ever After? The twists and turns in the story kept me guessing the whole time. Loved the characters.
This is a May-Dec storyline with Julian being a good 20years older than Evelyn. Julian saved Evelyn when she was being attacked on her way home, they exchanged first names and said goodbye. The next meeting took them both by surprise when Evelyn's best friend Hannah introduces her to her father ... Julian!! They both fight the attraction as neither wants to hurt Hannah. There 's a whole host of things going on in this book and when Evelyn is telling Julian about her childhood I'd hate some readers to be upset or triggered while reading the verbal, mental, physical and sexual abuse she portrays, it's not dwelt upon but it is there. All in all though this is a brilliant love story that conquers pain, hurt, fear and scary nightmares.

So, this is Evelyn and Julian’s story. Evelyn is Julian’s daughter’s best friend. Evelyn and Hannah met in school and instantly became friends. Julian saves Evelyn from an attacker, and they instantly find themselves drawn to each other. This story goes exactly where you know it will. Two people who shouldn’t be together, finding each other, resisting each other, and eventually giving in to each other. You automatically feel sad for Evelyn, her current life, as well as her past. But, you also feel proud of her for all she’s endured. They eventually give into their feelings for one another and of course the best friend/daughter handles it badly. Even with the dark back stories, it’s a sweet story of finding where you belong. And, of course, the heroine gets the HEA she doesn’t think she deserves.

Forbidden Daddy is full of emotions. Evelyn Stearns left behind her troubled past. She is attempting to start a new life in New York City. Evelyn enrolls in college to become a nurse. She makes a friend with another loner, Hannah, on their first day registration. The girls become fast friends. Julian Brooks lost his young wife to a tragic accident. He turned to work trying to make a better life for his daughter, Hannah, but instead put a strain on their relationship.
Julian and Evelyn meet during an unexpected encounter. Neither told Hannah about this meeting. It is a shock when they discover their mutual connection through Hannah. Even tho the couple has an instant connection, they decide to put Hannah's feeling first. Will they be able to hide their growing feelings?

This book completely wrecked me emotionally! I had to whip out the tissue box on more than one occasion. The things that Evelyn had survived absolutely gutted me!
Julian was great! The push/pull dynamic between he and Evelyn was angsty and delicious! Julian really was the right man for her, and she obviously awoke something in him that had been missing for many years.
I loved her friendship with Hannah, but I was also disappointed in her for not hearing Evelyn out. When Julian finally told her to grow up and let her know about Evelyn’s past, I couldn’t hold in the waterworks!
I would have liked a more final, or perhaps satisfying resolution for Evelyn’s dad.

I loved Evelyn and Julian's romance. This book offered the perfect combination of emotion, steam and drama to capture my interest and my heart. The story is fun but has plenty of heart. The attraction, tension and desire are all easy to feel and that really helps you become fully invested in this couple. As for the characters themselves, I found them likable and easy to root for. I loved that fate played a big part in this romance. For me, that added a rich sweetness and made this tale more affecting. This was an all around excellent read and another great entry for this enticing series. I am independently posting an impartial review.
Julian lost his wife and has never truly gotten over the pain, instead he has dived into work. Evelyn's childhood was not the easiest, because of her struggles she had to grow up fast.
When fate brings Julian to Evelyn's rescue they instantly can feel that there is something more. But when Evelyn shows up with his daughter, all wishes must stop, but can they resist the attraction.
Forbidden Daddy had a different feel to it, from other book from the author. There are times that are slow, but over all a good story.

Another great by R.S. Elliot as she does not disappoint. I finished this book in one sitting and fell in love with with Evelyns strength, perseverance, passion for a better love even when the world was against her. Julian was a savior with his good looks, charm and willingness to finally allow himself to be happy and accept love. Don’t forget adding a best friend who looks out for you and finally finds forgiveness.

Romance with surprising turns 4.5 I liked that this romance didn't go the way it seemed. Evelyn is a student who is attacked then saved by Julian, whom she later discovers as her best friend's father. Between them, there is a slow rise in feelings, but above all a very slow acceptance of their attraction. However, Evelyn's past brings a major turning point that I hadn't seen happen and changes this story that might have been predictable. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book
