This was an interesting mystery.
A small backstory:
Willow takes a job as a gardener for an eccentric brother (Oliver) and sister (Annalisa) as she needs the money. The siblings live in a mansion and they have a guest house where Willow ends up staying. Secrets and mystery surround the siblings as they kind of stay to themselves, but as time goes on Willow becomes more involved with them and she tries to sort out the mystery of the mansion along with trying to figure out why her employers stay secluded on the mansion grounds.
Thoughts:
Going into this book I was thinking there was going to be a major haunting of the house and grounds, but there is just a speckle of a any type of haunting. There is lots of mystery surrounding the characters, but even up to 50% of the book the story was sadly lacking in "ghosts". There were a couple of incidents with a haunting but it was mild compared to what I am used to reading.
I just kept reading though as I was thinking there was going to be something to sink my teeth into with spooks, but there is nothing spooky here and the book just turns out to be nothing more than a cozy mystery. Giving this one three "where are the ghosts" stars!

Not what I expected.
I did like this story, but I was expecting more of a ghost story. I will read the synopsis again to see what expectations it gives. It was a mystery and the ending was suspected, but still made sense and was enjoyable.

It's a mystery you just need to enjoy. It's pretty easily figured out But the scenery before you figure out who it is Has been written so beautifully that you can't miss 1 word As the book does build up to Is hunting The mansion

The Haunting of the Wilson Estate: A Riveting Hau...
I just loved and enjoyed this book and story very much. It was a total mystery all the way through. The characters were right on spot and all of the story I felt I was living it with them. I would 2 times recommend it to anyone to read.

Not a spooky haunting.
I had imagined this was to be a story of an old fashioned haunting with terror and eerie events. If you expect a horror story, this is not that. It has an interesting and convoluted plot, but the ghosts were not the old fashioned chain rattling spectors like in many haunted stories. In fact they don''t even enter into the narrative until close to half of the novel.
There is a great deal of description in this novel. Descriptions of gardens, homes, table settings, clothing, and well, you get my drift. Little of the well written descriptions had an impact on the plot and frankly got rather boring. I was getting fearful that we were not going to get into the meat of the actual plot.
I gave three stars for the artistic descriptions, even though they were over much, however well written. I would have given far fewer stars for the plot.

This book is definitely worth the read. The storyline captivated me, and the character development was engaging as the plot progressed. However, the middle of the book seemed to overly prolong the reveal of the pivotal "secret," while the conclusion could have elaborated more on the events of the final chapter. I'll avoid divulging too much to preserve the ending for future readers. While the story provides sufficient information at its conclusion, I believe the last chapter could have benefited from additional details to clarify the ending. I would have given more details in the last chapter to describe the ending.

In spite of the title, this is more of a cosy mystery with a bit of a supernatural vibe thrown in that a truly haunted house story, so be aware of this before begin to read it.
Nevertheless, I really enjoyed it. It has a gothic sense to it, with the enigmatic twin siblings living in the secluded mansion, its detailed description of the gardens and the gentle, protective ghosts.

Wordy, did I mention Lots of Words?
As the story wears on I found myself skimming the pages. The characters are constantly questioning “Do you like me?” Kept thinking this should be in the psychological genre, not paranormal. There were maybe a dozen pages that touched on the ghosts and those were found near the end. After pages of yada yada yada the book is wrapped up with an epilogue that could have been more elaborate. This book in my opinion needed better editing.

Dieses Buch wäre von der Grundstory her eine klassische Gruselgeschichte gewesen.Der Schreibstil war sehr anstrengend,weil es am Ende der ersten 3 Kapitel hiess;wenn sie dies und das gewusst/geahnt hätten...bla bla.
Und dann kamen noch innrhalb ein bis zwei Sätzen mehrere Wortwiederholungen vor!Und das an mehreren Stellen!Auch das was einer Protagonistin passierte,wurde öffters erwähnt...,das Ende wurde auch auf einmal herbeigezaubert!
Deswegen gibt es nur 2 Sterne!

Not for the intelligent. I dumped this book at the beginning of Chapter 4. At the beginning, on Page 3, her father's eyes were GREY. On Page 4, the daughter's eyes were BLUE, "just like her Father's." Doesn't the author reread what she has written?! Is there no proofreader?! Is there no editor?! Sorry, but I found this book so incredibly lame that I couldn't stay with it.

So poorly written. "I hope she'll want to be my friend. Oh no, will she want to be my friend anymore? Could he possibly want to be more than friends."

Delightful
Oliver and Annalise, twins caught in a lonely, recluse life after there parents are murdered. Willow, suffering from her own loss, ready to start a new life. What follows is enchanting and mysterious. I quite enjoyed reading.

Great Story!
This story takes a while to spin out, but it is worth wait. The ending was a real surprise, but tied up all the loose ends very nicely. I hope the author will consider continuing these characters in other story lines. Nicely done! Good read! A+

I wish there was a way to make more stars
This is my new favorite book. The initial storyline hit so close to home it almost made me put it down but I got through it and im so glad I did. I have to find a way to get a printed copy of this.

What a beautiful mystery this was. The description of this place made you feel like you were there. The characters were excellent in how they were picked/portrayed! Loved the story line!

Great Mystery.
Truly enjoyed reading this book. The story line is excellent and the characters were well rounded. Three timid souls, each of whom were wounded in one way or another, finding the courage to not let the past ruin their lives.

Very intriguing
An excellent tale of murder, mystery and ghosts, this was a well written book with some great plot twists. The characters are well balanced, making it an enjoyable read.

Sweet story
This story kept me glued to it, but I did think that the characters acted more like dramatic teenagers when it came to "friendhip,"
I'm not saying that as a bad thing. That's just my interpretation .

This was a good, light reading novel. It was predictable, but still entertaining. I would’ve liked to see more evolution of the characters. I felt there was so much building up to the climax but fell flat in the ending.

I must confess that the happy ending put a big smile on my face and helped me overcome all the sadness of the ghosts and torment of guilt that Oliver endured and even Annalisa to a lesser extend. You'll enjoy this story too.

Couldn’t put it down!!
I really love reading a good detective story but this book combined the mystery of a detective story with a sweet story of caring and understanding. Thank you for a book that was like a magnet which kept drawing me back!

Who did it?
I liked the story. It was interesting and entertaining but not very scary. Not a horror, more like a who done it thriller. I would read more books from this author.

It is no surprise that I felt like I was reading a novel written by the likes of Emily Bronte. Very descriptive and romantic in many ways. I do think the way they spoke was from a century ago but it was a sweet story. I enjoyed it and looked forward to my nightly reading before bed.
I don't think it was a ghost story but more like a fantasy/suspense read.
