It's rare for a fanfiction to get illustrated but the illustrations are rather ugly for most characters so 1 star for that, not that I can get it any lower. I got bored reading what became a bashfest against characters I liked just for a giant tantrum against the harem ending the show went towards but he turns Tenchi into a giant asshole and abuser to get there. Like really, dude? It read like some thirteen year old's uber edgelord story in a lot of places.
It would have been more interesting to explore Ryoko just rejecting the harem solution and stalk out on her own life but other than the illustrations, nothing sets this apart from lots of poorly written fanfictions. Angst to the brim and a reality TV flavored drama from top to bottom. After a few chapters, I skimmed it to see if it ever got better and nope.
One of the best fan-made light novels/ doujinshi I have ever read. I have been a fan of the Tenchi Muyo franchise for years and love seeing the fandom still creating works of art around the OVA and other spin-offs. The author remains true to characters while also challenging the reader to look at other characters a little differently. You may not agree with how the story plays out but there is no denying the time, love, and detail that went into writing and drawing this story. A must-read for any Tenchi Muyo fan.
