A secret, a revenge and the family caught in the middle.
At first sight Francesca Salucci has it all: a beautiful house in Fiji, a loving family and a promising new job.
Yet her life is not as tranquil as it seems. Her former career might be a thing of the past, but her affair with the son of a dangerous mafioso is anything but forgotten. The world she worked hard to build is turning on its head and her son is in danger. But how can she protect him when she can’t tell her allies from her enemies?
From an Afghanistan war zone to the stunning Fijian coastline, from the pomp of award ceremonies to secretive Venice, Serpent Sting unravels one family’s desire for revenge and another’s quest for peace.
Serpent Sting is the second book in the Serpent series.

Toni Grant writes international crime and suspense thrillers; interwoven with history and family sagas. Her characters are all about family, loyalty and fate. A lot like Toni in fact, but without the mafia tendencies.

Toni has published three books, collaborated on projects in the wellbeing space including gallery installations and written adaptations of theatrical productions.

Other adventures include obtaining a Bachelor of Business (Tourism), living in the Australian outback, organising a community fundraising concert (which went viral), living in a haunted house, raising a family, working in a deli and travelling.

When she’s not writing, Toni can be found on the yoga mat, at the beach, browsing vintage shops or with pen in hand, mind mapping.

This book starts 6 years after the first book and Francesca and Nicci have a son. Francesca and Sinclair have a daughter. A lot happens in this book and of course it ends in a cliff hanger. I love Sinclair but I didn't like Francesca in this one. Looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

Dr Sinclair McCrae is a clever, hardworking man with a big heart. The fact that he is willing to take on someone else’s child, and love and raise him as his own, gives him a golden star in my eyes.
Francesca - now with a second child to Sinclair - finds herself in serious danger.

Nicholas Delarno is alive and still pining for Francesca, and when he discovers that they share a child together he’s left gobsmacked!

I’m a sucker for love triangles, and I especially enjoy the ones where I struggled to pick which lover I like better.

When all hell breaks loose, Francesca’s two lovers will need to work together to save her and her children.

Just like in book 1, book 2 took me to a lot of familiar places. I had a laugh when we ended up at Nambour hospital. I was only there two weeks ago myself.
That’s the fun part about reading Aussie books. You feel at home.

Book 2 in this series and once again edge of your seat reading. Well constructed plot with strong characters and a more intrigue in the story of Mafia machinations across the globe.
An enjoyable read on every level

Hello, this book is the second in my thriller and suspense series. Set six years after the first, it brings sideline character, Australian Army medic, Sinclair McCrae into his own story. Together, with his small family, a new life has them settled in Fiji, as they try to put past events behind them.

When the opening sequences, set in Afghanistan, trigger a series of seeming unrelated events, the McCrae - Salucci family will be pushed to their limits. As their safety is compromised, Francesca will need to find a way to forgive her past decisions in order to protect their future.

Set in Fiji, Afghanistan, Italy and Australia, this book is another international romp of stunning locations and settings. If book one, Serpent Song, is described as a Book of Wishes, then book two, Serpent Sting, must be described as the Book of Lust, in many of its incarnations.

I hope you enjoy it. Toni X
