Een spannend fantasy verhaal, compleet met tijdreizen, monsters en heldhaftige krijgers. Gebaseerd op aloude Ierse verhalen en mythen, maar niet gespeend van humor en verwijzingen naar de moderne maatschappij. De ironie over het menselijke gedrag spat soms van de regels af, zonder afbreuk te doen aan het verhaal.

this did actually take me 2 months to finish, had to deal with a minor existential life crisis first. This is such a good book. The first read was enjoyable but the second was so much more gratifying after having read the first in the series. Having the knowledge of the first gave this book so much more depth and gravity. Hopefully I can find the rest of the series. Woods’ style is so unique, there really is nothing like her in my collection

I read this years ago, but I just remember finding the storyline so creative. You can definitely see the blend of various religious beliefs that combine perfectly to make an entralling storyline that makes you want to read it over and over again.

Awesome sequel to the wolfking I am currently re-reading it for the 10th time or so.
Good escape from the world in a celtic ancient world filled with myth, mystery and eternal love.
