I’m so happy to be back in the Elite world with the Rydeville crew, with a story that gives deeper into some periphery/connected characters from the earlier books in the series that I’ve always been curious about. The Hate I Feel is rife with tension, gripping action, that trademark endgey Siobhan Davis angst, so much emotional resonance…and of course so many epic twists and jaw dropping moments. This one hooked me start to finish.
LIke so many Rydeville stories, The Hate I Feel (once a shorter antho tease now a full length novel) is one riddled with hate, revenge, deception, darkness, and tantalizing steam. Our hero/anti-hero is Zayn, one of the missing Anderson brothers. His revenge plot has him setting his eyes on sweet and innocent Emery, the daughter of the man Zayn wants to punish. And punish her he did….so what happens when their paths cross again in Rydeville?
The characters are so complicated and nuanced- Zayn has all the markings of a tortured anti-hero, one at odds with himself as his anger challenges his sense of justice. He’s so angry, but also so torn. And like so many others who have fallen prey before, he’s also been misled by the Rydeville Elite….just another casualty in their evil machinations. He’s isolated, his wounded, he’s at times one-track focused and reckless. And he’s so delicious. And oh sweet Emery., Her kindness and gentleness here was compelling, she’s so sweet and unjaded. Until hurricane Zayn wreaks havoc on her heart. Now she has more edge- she too is angry, torn between her heartbreak and also her compassion for Zayn’s pain.
And the chemistry- LAWD Siobhan Davis sure can write that TENSION. It just oozes from the pages and grabs you by the throat. I loved how their relationship evolved, how they both worked through their baggage. How they are at times at odds but also understand the other. And as we know, the only way to survive this dark and twisted Rydeville ecosystem is to discover the truths…and to ban together again the power holders. I am OBSESSED with this whole world, and I am just salivating for Drew!
I WANT MOREEEE! I loved the Elite series and this short story was no less addicting.
Zayn wants revenge and he’ll cross any boundary to get it. Emery is his mark and he’ll do whatever he needs, to get what he needs, to facilitate his end game.
This was a quick read but it gave us a lot of story. Zayn is arrogant, but loves his brother. He’s definitely multi-layered and I cannot wait for more of him. Emery was sweet and sheltered, but a girl who knows her own mind. Together they they will be a force. Their attraction was instant and their chemistry undeniable. I was hooked immediately and the author definitely left me yearning for more.
This is just a short, 8 chapter, story, but it packed everything I loved about the Rydeville series - revenge, Elite members being brought down, and interesting developments with the youngest Anderson siblings.
This was just the tip of the iceberg, and I cannot wait for Siobhan to release a longer version.
I was given an advance readers copy of this book and have decided to write a voluntary honest review. Holy crap Siobhan, I'm itching for so much more now. I don't want to give anything away, but I need more zayn, Emery, Uma, ro, and Everett. I really feel for Emery and Ro in this one. I can't wait for the full length.
Wow the tensions are high and dang the web of lies and deceit are deeper than ever imagined!
It feels like this gripping series started so long ago and yet each book opens something new that has me feeling nostalgic all over again! This series and this group have gone through he!! And back seriously no lies. They have faced many demons and together they have had one another but something or someone/s was always missing!
Zayn and Ro only have had each other. Zayn had sleighed demons for his brother but his biggest adversary is someone who had told so many lies that when faced with his past he might burn it all down all in the name of vengeance. His saving grace is Emery. She stole his heart and helps him to see that maybe vengeance isn't the answer!
this book took on a life of its own and so many things were answered, especially if you've been a fan of this series since the start (yup I'm obsessed). I can feel our time in Rydeville is coming to a close and I don't know if I'm ready for it!
OMG! How could you end this story so fast! I seriously need more asap! Like right now!
I admit I totally forgot that Kaiden and Maverick had 4 younger brothers. So to atleast see what has become of the littlest Anderson boys! I‘m excited and nervous to see more of them in the hopefully near future because this short story is very very promising and looks like it‘s going to break our hearts sooo hard!
I loved getting dropped back in Rydeville. More of Kai??? YES, please! Zayn & Roman had struggled, but Zayn had kept them together. Zayn fell in love with Emery, but he couldn’t let his plan for revenge go.
Between Roman and Emery, my heart was broken. These brothers are always fighting for each other. The brother connection could not be broken just bent. I can’t wait for more! This author always pulls me into her stories! ❤️
This was awesome! It is full of revenge, lust, tragedy, and brings us back to the world of the Rydeville elite. It takes you deeper into the world of the Elite, involving people that we didn't know existed. This was a delightful part of the life and I can't wait for the rest of the story!
Welcome back to the seductive and dangerous world of Rydeville elite! Siobhan Davis knows how to pull me into a plot and The Hate I Feel was no exception. Zayn and Emery's story was sinful and heartbreaking and angsty to the point of perfection. The suspense and twists kept me completely immersed in the story till the very last word. It's explosive. It's scorching hot. It's twisted. It's a complete emotional rollercoaster.
Zayn Becker had one goal. To take revenge on the man who let his brother get abused in the group home. For that, he used Emery. That evil powerful man's daughter. But she was innocent and Zayn had to break her heart. By the time he realised he loves her, it was too late. But now they meet again..at Rydeville. Zayn has come face to face his other real brothers whom he hates for abandoning him. But the truth is something else. It's time he comes to know how he was manipulated by the evil Rydeville Elite. Will Emery be there when he face the truth?
This story cannot be read as a standalone. You must read the other Rydeville books to understand the plot and avoid the massive spoilers. Zayn was obviously blinded by his thirst for vengeance when he hurt Emery. He can a real ah0le. A true Anderson actually. He is can be merciless and straightway cruel for his enemies. His brother is everything and he would go to any extent to protect her. The Andersons and their friends had to earn the trust in his eyes. It was brutal because his past is made of lies and manipulations and grief and pain. His heart was hardened. But his real family pushed their way in his heart. So did Emery. I love the combination of sweet and sassy in her personality. She hates Zayn for breaking her and upsetting the balance in her life, essentially making her lose everything. But she also feels deep empathy and sadness for Zayn because inside her heart, she understands why Zayn did that. It takes lots of strength to accept something like that. This story is heavy in suspense and action. Many chapters are from POV of my absolute favorites like Kaiden and Drew. We are coming almost at the end of the whole Rydeville saga where a group of vicious young men ( and women) dismantle a powerful corrupt secret society and take control of their future. It's a dark twisted world where every page comes with shocking turns. Zayn fit right in with his wicked tech skills, possessive overprotective alpha ways, edgy vibes and complete devotion to his family. He may be this bada&& boy who doesn't fear anything But he has issues and scars and vulnerabilities and that's where love comes in. Emery was the one who healed her and like the best book boyfriend, he fell hard for his woman I cannot wait for Drew!
I read this short as part of the anthology and I am SO EXCITED to be back in the Rydeville world. This series is where my love for Siobhan's books began, and this book is a perfect spinoff.
The Hate I Feel has the perfect amount of angst, following Zayn on his quest for revenge. What better way to exact revenge than to go after the enemies daughter??? Emery was an innocent in Zayn's little game and even though some feelings got in the way, his need for revenge was greater.
Siobhan is a master at world building. Although short, this story sucked me right in and has me dying for more!!! Zayn's backstory, and what fueled his need for revenge was emotional and made me really feel for him and his brothers. I'm also looking forward to see how Emery handles the deceit all around her.
**I voluntarily reviewed an advance complimentary copy of this book.**
I first read the novella version of this, so I was super excited to see it turned into a full novel. I love all of Siobhan's books, and Rydeville holds a special place for me. The nostalgia of having all of my favorite characters back was everything. I really loved Emory, and my heart hurt for her after what the males in her life did. Thank the gods for Uma. We all need a friend like her. I get where Zayn was coming from and why he wanted revenge. I haven't fully forgiven him for his methods though, and I was honestly feeling another character a bit more. I'm so excited to see where the series goes from here, and I honestly want to do a readthrough from book one and fall in love with all these characters again. This was such a great book, and I have no regrets for staying up until 4am reading this in one sitting.
This was a great 5 star read. I was pulled in right from the beginning and I want more. This book cannot be read as a stand alone. My emotions were all over the place. Emery is a super sweet virgin who was just cheated on by her boyfriend, so she has no plans for a new boyfriend. That is until she meets Zayn, he is persistent on getting her on a date. Will he get Emery on a date and will Zayn get his revenge? There are so many twists and turns and things you won’t see coming. I was on the edge of my seat. Once again this author has tore me up in so many ways with her writing. I can’t wait to read more from this series and author. I will warn there may be some scenes that could cause triggers. 1-click and get started on this must read series.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
SIOBHAN DAVIS!!!!! EXCUSE ME! Who gave you the right?!
I read this as part of the Hot Summer School Nights antho and once again, Siobhan does NOT disappoint! She tosses us back in the world of the Rydeville Elite and Zayn and Emery have alllllll the makings of a stellar romance!
Zayn is just as complicated as he is simple. He’s got a one track mind when it comes to protecting his brother and exacting revenge, but that’s also caused the blinders to come down too. Unfortunately, innocent Emery is caught in the crosshairs.
These two have insane, instant chemistry that I can’t wait to see fleshed out. And oh, how I’ve missed my Rydeville world!
Siobhan brings us back into the world of Rydeville with this book and it was everything I loved Zayn and Emery's story was something else. In this story you can feel the pain and deception of the character's along with the hotest chemistry as Siobhan so masters with all of her character's. This book is full of revenge, hate and anger you can feel. Twist and turns you won’t see coming in this book are insane this author give us all of it in this amazing book. This is one of those books that once you pick it up, you can’t put it down until it’s finished. It’s an absolute five star in my eyes if I could give it more, I would. I can’t wait to see what comes next!!!
At this point, I’m just convinced there is nothing Siobhan Davis will write that I won’t love.
The missing Anderson brothers have been on my mind for a long time and I couldn’t wait to know more about them. I loved being reunited with my beloved Rydeville crew. It made for all the laughs and feels. Siobhan Davis packed one hell of a powerful punch and drops some serious bombs to answer some of the questions we’ve had. Yet, with a story like this it’s never that simple so of course every answer leaves you with another question. From chapter one to the last, I was wholly consumed by this story. I absolutely cannot waaaaaait for Drew’s story!!
First off let me start by saying its so good to be back in the Rydeville Elite word, SO GOOD!
This novella is going to be a part of the Hot Summer School Nights Anthology, it's really the perfect tease. Revenge, deceit, heartbreak and angst, Siobhan Davis did incredible with this novella, enough to tie you over and leave you wanting more ALL AT THE SAME TIME.
ARC was provided in exchange for an honest review.
I loved this short story featuring Zane and Emery. Zane and Emery are the complete opposites because Zane is a bad boy and Emery is the girl that stays out of trouble. What happens when their two worlds collide and the good girl falls for the bad boy. If you haven't read any of the books in the Rydeville Elites series I recommend that you read those before you dive into this one. I'm sad that we get one more book in this series and I'm not ready to say goodbye to this series.
OMG I need more of the lost Anderson brothers and when they realise Kai has been searching for them and they are loved by the brothers I just can’t wait for their reunion and get them involved in taking down The Elite for good.
𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐡 3⭐️ The Hate I Feel is a spin-off short story of the Rydeville Elite series, so don’t read this if you haven’t read the series yet cause you’re not gonna understand all the precious information we received here.
It wasn’t totally bad for a short story. I have to recognise it was ADDICTIVE and I finished it in a blink of an eye, but I still have my complaints. The biggest one of them goes to Emery and Zayn, the main characters, who gave me a big, fat headache. If their relationship was more explored and developed, I would've definitely liked it. But I didn't have enough time to connect with them.
One positive aspect is that I’ve gained a lot of important information which helped me to understand the entire situation better.
As for the ending, ugh, it made me so ANGRY. Angry because I spent hours looking for this book… only to find out it wasn’t even the full version?! What? So now I have to wait who knows how much time to read the second half. 😩
I’d also like to point out what could have been a simple coincidence, but it was something more to me. More like a reference to the After series by Anna Todd. Let me explain.
Spoiler Scene and After Spoiler
WHAT?
WHAT?
I feel like I have been waiting for this book for ages! But it was certainly worth the wait, for all of us who adore the Rydeville Elite world created by amazing Siobhan Davis. This is now a full length novel, book 7 in the series (it was previously published as a novella in the Hot Summer School Nights anthology, but now it’s complete - thus, I am rewriting my review).
I missed this world so much! The title couldn’t be more relevant. Zayn and Emery cross ways, but their motives are different. Zayn will stop at nothing to get the revenge he thinks he needs and Emery is, by all means, the way to do it. Even if he knows in his heart that she is the one for him, that she is nothing like her family – even if he is reluctant to hurt her, he can’t stop. His agenda can’t allow it. However, he doesn’t stop following her and – ironically – trying to protect her, even after he implodes her life. When his own world turns to its axis, after learning mind-blowing truths about his past and his family – his brothers, he is determined to win her back. And he won’t back down until he succeeds. Emery is a strong and sweet heroine. She gives her heart to Zayn and never truly takes it back. And she acknowledges this fact. Their way to a HEA is not an easy one – too much hurt, too much hidden truths, too much pain get in the way…
A rollercoaster of emotions and actions, full-dimensional, intriguing characters, a captivating plot – this is Siobhan Davis’ MO. A fantastic novel. Now, I can’t wait to learn more about mysterious Drew in the last book of the series – he caught my attention from the start, from the very first novel of the series. 5 well-earned stars!
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
Holy angst fest Batman!! This quick read little novella is part of the Hot Summer Nights Anthology and it packs such a punch that it will no doubt knock you on your Fanny! Siobhan gave me just a taste of Zayn and Emery’s story in The Hate I Feel and it’s already got me addicted. It was like a small sip of water and now I’m dying of thirst for more!! Zayn is cocky and arrogant and set out to serve up a good cold dose of revenge. Emery is sweet and innocent but she’s not a pushover. Their chemistry is off the charts hot, hot, hot. This may be a short novella but it’s sure not lacking in development, details or deliciousness. Siobhan can suck you in within the first few pages and you're sold on her stories. That’s how good they are and I CANNOT WAIT for more of this one.
*I voluntarily reviewed an advanced complimentary copy of this novella.
For those of us that have been hooked on the Rydeville Elite series, this book was long-awaited and definitely met my expectations. In previous books, we had found out that the two youngest Anderson boys had been adopted, and despite years of searching, Kaiden and Rick had not been able to find them. Until now!!! And this book is written in multiple POV, including Zayn's and Kai's, and we find out what happened during these two baby brothers' lives. And it was shocking...
Meanwhile, Zayn's relationship with Emery started on rocky ground and for a long while, it seemed like Zayn's actions doomed it forever. Cue in Operation Win Emery Back (in stealth mode) and that was thorougly entertaining!
I was desperate to see the interactions between all 6 brothers and we finally get it in this book. All is not roses and peaches, but the bonds that were severed for so many years started to mend (some way earlier than others) and it made my heart swell. This all took place within a backdrop filled with tension as the Elite are still trying to impact the present and we get treated to several appearances of Jackson, Charlie, Sawyer, Xavier, Drew and Abby, whose strength and huge heart continues to be an axis point for the Anderson family.
The Hate I Feel was a riveting read and sets the scene for Drew's book. You won't want to miss a single scene before we get to the end of the series. Happy reading!
✨ Book 7 in Rydeville Series (not a standalone) ✨ Enemies to lovers ✨ Betrayal ✨ Found family / Reunited family ✨ Band of brothers ✨ Virgin FMC ✨ He falls for her hard ✨ Grumpy, possessive Book Boyfriend ✨ He will betray her then will want to win her back ✨ Emotional ✨ Spice 🌶️🌶️🫑

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This book is not a standalone so if you don’t know this series , you have to read it .. if you do know it you will love The Hate I feel ..
A page-turner but different from the previous books, for the first time the romance is in the backseat while the dynamic and reunion between the brothers drives the storyline , it was super emotional and well done.. Siobhan gives justice to this part of the series that we were waiting for since book 1.
The romance was really good , with angst , pain and love , but having less screen time than the plot maybe a few more chapters here and there about the romance would have given it more credibility.. but with Siobhan’s writing this book is a big win and I’m more than ready for Drew ..
Love being back in the world of the Elite!! You must read the previous books in this series to get a full understanding of everything that is going in within this book.
It's been almost 3 years since we read about the families within the Elite and as it wasn't long into this book before everything came rushing back into my memory and I felt myself get fully wrapped up in this world again.
The blurb is truly all you need to know going into this one; being that you need to read this in order to understand everything, you can tell this is an extremely intense read.
I love that Siobhan writes very distinct and strong characters. I love that they are unique in their own ways with their own issues, but none of them are weak in any way.
Zayn is very head strong and struggles to come to grips with parts of this life when new things are brought to light. Emery's life is in a complete upheaval and she's trying to navigate new waters and move forward in life.
I want to say so much but can't. Siobhan once again, weaves a brilliant story of two characters with their own vices and intricately folds into the underlying plot seamlessly. Siobhan knows how to write suspenseful and intriguing storyline while never having repetitive twists and turns.
Another brilliant book in the Rydeville Elite series.
The Hate I Feel by Siobhan Davis is part of the Rydeville Elite Series…book 6.5…it’s not finished but it’s a good beginning to a story about the lost boys of the Anderson brothers. It’s so good. The truth they have…the life they’ve lived…oh man I’m dying right now to know what happens next with the Anderson Brothers and the rest of the Rydeville Clan. As usual Siobhan Davis has me on the edge of my seat…pretty much panting for scraps of what’s next lol. My heart is still running rampant…still chasing the thrill of of their world. Now I must return to the real world, for now anyways…cause as soon as Siobhan releases a new book I am own it!!! She never fails to drag me kicking and screaming into whatever world she deems us worthy of sharing with us. I crave her words and every book entraps me in their world. I’m honest when I say if you haven’t started this series then you, my beautiful people are missing out on the Queen of writings works. This is NOT a standalone. You will not get the thrill, the anger, the happiness or the upheaval of other emotions if you haven’t been on this rollercoaster ride from the beginning. But feel free to join us on our journey of heartache and happiness. I received a free advanced copy to read and review.
