Judge Cameron Sinclair has wrecked me in every way possible for every book boyfriend moving forward. I didn't think Louise Lennox could top Rhue, but damn she did!!
Being in the middle of a divorce is enough to drive anyone to the edge but add in a mother who is more of a child than she is and a storm brewing on the island and Tara Kent has had enough of the blow’s life keeps wanting to throw at her. Having to fight her ex-husband for child support is not something Tara wants to deal with, but her kids come first and if doing this means she can support them then that is what she will do. Upon arriving at the courthouse and waiting for the new judge to come out Tara is faced with the uncertainty of what the day will hold. When Judge Cameron Sinclair walks out Tara is shocked at exactly who the man is, the guy she just fought with at the coffee shop and the man she spilled her coffee on. Her day really can't get worse, but it seems things might be turning around for her when the judge makes his ruling. Who is this sexy new judge and why can't he take his eyes off of her?

Kiss of life by Louise Lennox.
A kiawah island romance.
I really enjoyed this book. Great story. I loved most of the characters apart from Jason. He was nasty. I loved Keisha Symone Rhue and Nicole. They were like family. I loved Cameron and Tara and how they were together. Even Tara’s children Tiffany and Joshua. Can't wait for next book. 5*.

This is the kind of book that makes you want to re-read it, or at least certain parts of it. I loved the writing. It drew me right into the story and I felt totally connected to everything that was happening. It was fast paced without being rushed and flowed very smoothly. I loved that the story was constantly moving forward and adding more pieces to the puzzle.
I know this book is fiction, but their story is not. I believe that people should never lose hope in the face of adversity, that just because a relationship did not work it does not mean it's the end for us and we all deserve a second chance in love.
Anyway, I'm just going to start rambling soon because I read this book in a whirlwind of emotions throughout a single day. I've been up since a ridiculous time and I need to go sleep now. But really, give this book a chance. I thought it was excellent.

I loved this story, probably has everything to do with Tara and her personality and what she’s been through. No one knows they need a knight in shining amour until Cameron walks in. I love how this story unfolded and we still got a glimpse into what is going on with Symone.

I haven’t read many by this author but my goodness they are all hot! Making me all hot and bothered! I told myself to not read it so fast but I couldn’t help it! Great things plus more great things plus drama and an ex… too exciting to wait!!
Tara is so much stronger than she gives herself credit for and more than she will ever believe. I was so torn with the pain and anger I felt on her behalf. But I didn’t feel that way too long because then entered this sexy gorgeous man who could potentially cure everything. I had HUGE hope for all things Cameron. I know the things he’s said but attraction doesn’t lie. While sometimes you may get mixed up with lust, there are the rare times when you find another soul that speaks to yours without your knowledge. I feel their first encounter speaks volume!
I thought about taking like a half a star away because several things I thought weren’t dangerous enough sounding during the scene than made out to be in the end. The tropical storm seemed to be brushed over and then a couple events at the end seemed to just been skimmed over. Theses were bigger events to me that should’ve had way more drama and arguing and just more. Maybe for the size of the book it was lessened but I would’ve like more. The steam and the worry and some angst and the love are all strong here. Cameron isn’t looking for a woman, but Tara crossed his path more than once, so he’s taking his chance with her. Tara definitely isn’t looking for a man when she’s still beaten down by the one she used to have, but that isn’t stopping Cameron from pulling out all the stops to win her. And it’s an uphill battle for a while. Tara needs to learn to trust herself and others, so Cameron is deeming himself the man for the job. It’s just too bad he’s got some baggage of his own, because that baggage blows up spectacularly at the least opportune time, which leads to Cameron’s own temper exploding....all over the woman he’s fallen in love with. But Cameron gets a swift kick in the brain (and other regions) and gets it together, with the help of his friend and that aforementioned baggage. The only worry left is whether or not he’ll convince Tara that he really is the man she thought him to be and if she’ll forgive his careless moves, because he’s not walking away from her again.
I really enjoyed the flow of this book. Tara is strong, but her pride needs to make some room for faith and trust. Cameron is also strong, but he’s got to figure out how to keep Tara. The back and forth between these two, as well as the revelations along the way, make for a story I didn’t want to say goodbye to come the last page!

This is Tara’s book.
Meet cutes are all different but the way Tara and Cameron is a bit messy ;) though definitely memorable. The prologue set the stage, the first chapter set up the fireworks and then what followed created a HEA for two people that would do much better together than apart. Were they alike? Not in personality but they were definitely two puzzle pieces that fit together.
What I liked:
* Visiting a place I have never been before
* Stepping into an own voices story that is not my own voice
* Looking up Gullah, Tacky, and a few other terms I had not heard before
* Thinking about how money would help in hurricane season…or any time at all
* Watching the dynamics between Cameron and Tara
* Getting a little bit of a feel for the three other women in the series
* What the H/h overcame

* Wondering if the Midnight Raiders MC has a series of its own

Louise Lennox is a relatively new author to me. Kiss of Life was well written with characters whose story you cannot held but become invested in. Tara Kent has been put through the ringer by her jerk of an ex husband Jason; Judge Cameron Sinclair is the man who swoops in to save her and I fell hard and fast for him.
Their first meeting is not one either of them would say was great, but fate has a way of changing things. When a hurricane hits Kiawah Island it’s the last thing that Tara needs. When Cameron comes to her rescue yet again, sparks will fly. Neither of them are looking for a relationship and yet the attraction that sizzles between them cannot be ignored.
What will happen when lines are crossed? Can Cameron convince Tara that he is worth taking a chance on and is nothing like her jerk of an ex? Kiss of Life is well written with characters whose story you will be drawn into. The secondary characters and the friendships between Tara, Symone, Nicole and Keisha added an additional layer and the relationship that developed between Cameron and Tara’s children Joshua and Tiffany was heart warming.

I thoroughly enjoyed another Kiawah Kisses romance! Tara is like most women seeking the perfect life. A good husband, happy children, and a loving home. After supporting her husband’s dreams, she finds herself single and raising her children as her husband tramps around town like a head honcho. It’s not enough that he cheated his way out the door, he wants to drag her and her self esteem underneath his shoe. Well up and coming Judge Sinclair is not about that business. Although he is too high handed for my tastes lol, he put Tara and her dumb ex on notice that she was his and he’d treat her as the queen she was. He did not disappoint. What a way to wait out a storm 🤤😉! Of course there are a few twists and turns in this journey but Louise Lennox does not disappoint AGAIN! I can’t wait to read about Nicole, our resident home girl ninja, and Ray.

I really enjoyed this book by Ms. Lennox. This is the second installment of the Kiawah Kisses series and after reading this I really want to go back and read the first book. The storyline captured my interest and pulled me in right from start. Tara and Cameron were such wonderful, endearing characters. Tara had some really challenging issues to overcome and it was lovely how Cameron really stepped up to help her. Their attraction was undeniable and they had really great chemistry. Ms. Lennox did a nice job of building the story and delivering an entertaining read and bringing the story and emotions to life with the detailed and vivid descriptions. I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more of this series.

The battles Tara fights makes her a strong and remarkable woman.
Her inner strength and will to do whatever she must for her children. She has been verbally abused
and used by her now ex husband, he cheated on her and refuses to pay full child support.
Cameron meets Tara not on the best of days, but he feels the attraction and knows right off the bat
he wants the help her. He knows she is special and ment to be in his life.
This was such a great amazing book... this book was filled with so many different emotions and actions... both these characters are absolutely fantastic and I love how Cameron wants to take care of Tara and her kids...

I definitely can't wait to meet the other Kisses and this book is like relationship goals ! For me at least...lol. this book was nonstop action and passion and it had everything.I think Cameron is everything,but they're everything together. To have a partner who makes it their mission to balance you for the better of both of you?!like get out of here who doesn't want that!
I also love how much I get to continue to learn about the Geechee culture,and South Carolina ,and Black love in all its layers.

I loved Tara and Judge Cameron story. They both had demons that they had too overcome. Tara's ex was a piece of work that needed to be put in his place. I loved how Tara and Cameron meet in the Starbucks and she was holding up by not knowing what to order and slowed him down. She spilled coffee on him on her way out. Low and behold when she got to court to fight her ex over child support who was the judge, Cameron. This was a beautiful love story with it's ups and down. Each person had to learn to give and take.

First of all, I love how Ms. Lennox set Tara up as a main character that we can get behind. She hasn't had an easy life and has some real problems that she's dealing with, starting with that Ex of hers. But she's not a victim by any means, and I found myself cheering for her more and more as the book went on. And Cameron?! Ugh I love him! I love his partnership with Tara and how they come together and make each other better. I absolutely DEVOURED this book in one sitting. Five stars!

Beautiful story. I loved the judges possessiveness. Tara's determination to stand her ground against bully relationships. I can't wait for the next book. I glad Mr. George got things straight with his life and Tara's mom, all he has to do is get things straight with Cameron.

This is my first read from this author. I felt the she had a great storyline but it wasn’t executed well. This book really didn’t set the best standard for her work. It was very fast paced, so that I took away from me connecting with the characters. Many details in this story aren’t properly fleshed out nor did they get a proper resolution, leaving this book with a very choppy voice. Also, the hero Cameron is just too possessive for me. I know he’s supposed to come off as protective, but I didn’t get that from his behavior. I got controlling. He is way too demanding to a woman he hardly knows. It was weird behavior. Nonetheless , there were certain aspects of this book I did like. I like the friendship aspect between the women and I like how Tara took her life back when love wasn’t served on the table. While this book wasn’t my favorite, I can definitely see myself reading more from this author’s catalogue.

This is awkward to review because I didn’t NOT like it, but I didn’t exactly love it either. In fact, like the first book in this Kiawah Kisses series (Merry Kiss Me), I was pretty excited about the premise of this second entry into the series. This author comes up with really creative story ideas and the tropes are my jam. I love single parent romance and after Book 1, I wanted to know what was up with Tara and her covering for her trifling husband. Especially since she seemed filled with such wisdom and smarts and feistiness otherwise.
The premise is that Tara is still hung up over her no-good, trifling husband two years after the breakdown of her marriage but her eyes are gradually opening after witnessing the way he keeps trying to get out of paying child support when he has all the money for vacations with his new fiancée. When Tara finds herself in Judge Cameron’s court, it’s instalove sparks at least on his part, but that’s not the only reason why he’s determined to make a deadbeat dad pay.
The premise is something I was instantly attracted to. I thought the idea of a somewhat forbidden relationship between the judge and a petitioner was unique. Their meet cute was delightful and set up the book nicely after a somewhat “side-eyeing the heroine” prologue. But then I was somewhat disturbed by both Tara’s unhealthy longing on her deadbeat husband at the beginning, her general fecklessness as a character, which just didn’t go with anything else we knew about her- either from Book 1 or even how she described herself. As for Cameron, I think Tara described him best and most accurately (and kindly) when she said he was “overbearing, overprotective, high-handed, intense, (yet) caring.”
I felt some dissonance between who these characters were in their actions and what they said they were about. And the thing is I liked the characters I believe the author intended- how lovely for someone to take charge, how lovely to be taken care of- Tara and Cameron are coming from such tough childhoods that I see the attraction of both personality types for each other. But then like with the heroine in the first book, there’s a conflict between the characterization of the characters motivations and back stories and relationships with others, and what the characters actually did, how they thought and how they behaved. For example, Cameron was I assume supposed to be a Stern Brunch Daddy, but in actuality he was often very much out of pocket in his actions and borderline controlling based on no context or foundation. As for Tara, I didn’t feel she grew enough as a character- based on the high level of responsibility she took on in her early life, it was weird that she was such a passenger in her own life, even when carpets had been yanked from under her feet. Even in her conflict with her mother, her BFF had to get involved to resolve it, you didn’t get the impression she was sorted or improving emotionally.
For me, I think this could have worked better if Cameron and Tara had had a conversation or any form of interaction or foundation for him to go all alpha dominant on her out of nowhere. Because of the lack of this context, it came across a little creepy, and this is even though I personally like a take charge, commanding type hero. I will say this kind of works if you read it as a D/s romance- but it wasn’t really taken in that direction and that wasn’t at all the vibe created, again because there was a step missing before Cameron got inappropriately pushy. It was weird how at the beginning of the relationship, Cameron demanded a vulnerability and trust he hadn’t earned, which for that reason seemed toxic and a little unhinged.
What DID work well all through this book was the spice!!!! The author is a heat master and she brought it all here! All the intimate scenes were beautifully executed but incredibly erotic and the chemistry was explosive.
Overall, I think if you like erotic romance and a very commanding hero, the premise is unique and it’s worth checking this out. I can’t vouch that you won’t side eye the heck out of Tara and Cameron, but at least you’ll be warm doing it because 🌶🥵🌶🥵 🌶🥵!

Let's visit Carolina Lowcountry in Louise Lennox's latest novel, Kiss of Life. book 2 in her A Kiawah Kisses series.
Judge Cameron Sinclair knows exactly what he wants, and when he sets his eye on something his focus is unyielding. When he meets Tara Kent, although the first encounter was not necessarily a good one, something draws him to her. Tara has been through a lot - a shitty ex-husband, to say the VERY least, the deferment of some of her dreams, and the realization that the writing may have been on the wall for quite some time. While she feels the connection that Cameron does, she is hesitant. She has her children to think about, she's trying to find her footing and life just seems to keep beating her down and she doesn't know if she can add on another thing that needs her attention.
All Cameron wants to do is protect her. From very early on, he knows that she is his. A terrible move by the ex-husband and the incoming hurricane puts these two in close proximity and now they both must decide how to move regarding their feelings. The relationship has a lot to work through, including revenge of sorts that Cameron is hellbent on seeing through, not realizing how close to home the issue really is.
While I'm usually a fan of instalove, this one didn't quite click for me. Cameron knew everything that Tara had gone through - that she needed to assert herself and needed the feeling of standing on her own two feet. I didn't always think he honored that, and at times wondered if he fell in love with her or the idea of her and being a hero. I was also waiting for Tara to really put her foot down and come into her own, as much of the book shed a light on how she was mistreated or cast aside in her earlier years leading right up to her divorce. While I didn't expect her to make a complete 180 when it comes to her assertiveness by the end of the book, I was hoping for a little bit more of a change than we saw. Hurricane Maria was mentioned in the blurb and I thought would be more intertwined with the plot but we didn't spend a lot of time dealing with it and the aftermath.
While this is book 2, you don't have to read the first book to follow along as it reads well as a standalone. The secondary characters were solid and I am intrigued by the others' stories that will be coming. The small town also served as a lovely background to this book. While I didn't love this one, I'm a fan of the author's work and will be reading more upcoming projects.

Kiss of Life is book two in Louise Lennox's Kiawah Island Romance Series. I did not read book one, but I didn't find that I was missing anything by having not read the first book. I really loved Kiss of Life, I thought it was a very well written book, I loved how the couple, Tara and Cameron met and fell in love despite both of them having been burned by love before.
Single mom Tara Kent is having a bad morning, first she was harassed in line at the coffee shop for taking too long to pick her drink by the annoyingly handsome man, then she accidentally spilled said coffee on the same man, all before she had to go to court to finally get the child support that her cheating ex husband is behind where the judge is the same man who she spilled her coffee on. All Tara wants is a break so when the judge, Cameron Sinclair, doesn't fall for her ex's BS and lies like the last judge she feels like she finally has got one. Much to Tara's surprise she soon runs into Cameron at her second job at her friends bar, and she finds out they have friends in common.
Cameron doesn't want to get involved with anyone after tragically losing his fiancé six years ago. But as soon as he meets the beautiful Tara Cameron finds he can't stop thinking about her or wanting to help her escape the issues she has with her ex. The problem is that Tara doesn't want a man to rescue her, she wants to be able to rescue herself after everything she's been through. After taking shelter together during a hurricane turns romantic both Cameron and Tara realize that despite being burned before they want to try to find love again with each other. First read by this author, and I am quickly a fan! Poor Tara! She has done everything her entire life to take care of everyone else, instead of enjoying her life. He mother and her childish behavior, made her grow up well before her time. She marries, trying to find some normalcy and stability in her life, to find out her husband just wants to control her! Jason was just a straight bih!🤡 I have no other words to describe him and that ish he put Tara through!
Cameron is The Alpha male honey! He pulled no punches, and played no games, when it came to what he wanted! What he wanted was Tara! She caught his eye right away, and after finding out what she had been through, his need to care and protect her grew exponentially! But Cameron was intense and possessive with his caring, due to his past experiences. It took a minute for him to get through to Tara, and when they did, it was straight 🔥! They were so good together.
I loved the sisterhood with Tara and the ladies. They were for sure ride or die! I knew something was off with Jason, but damn, he was cray cray for real! Glad Cameron and his overprotectiveness were there to save the day for Tara. Really enjoyed this read. Good job! 👍👍👍

Tara was simply trying to regroup from a divorce and a ten year marriage from hell. All she wanted was for her Dead beat ex husband to pay his back child support, so she and her children could get on with their lives. He was a practicing obstetrician and really had no reason to be behind in his payments other than him being hateful. Two years after the divorce she finds herself having to go back to court because he wants to reduce his child support payments.
Before reporting to court she stops to at Starbucks to get
Coffee , and has a run in with a very handsome obnoxious,overbearing man who was trying to rush her as she made up her mind about what she wanted to order, simply because he claimed she was making him late for work. Louise Lennox is a fairly new author to me but I was intrigued by the blurb of Kiss for Life, it’s a well written story with characters you can’t help loving well apart from Jason who I’m not sure anyone would like. A divorce is hard enough to deal with but add in fighting for child support and a storm about to hit the island and you get a recipe for disaster and that’s Tara Kent’s life. Imagine the shock when you realise the Judge dealing with your case is the man you argued with and split coffee over a short while ago. This is where Tara and her children’s life is about to take a turn for the better because Judge Cameron Sinclair is determined to make their life better than his was, growing up searching for his father has left a lasting impression on him and no other family is going to go through what he went through growing up.
An instant attraction, a man with a heart of gold as well as some wonderful friendships all add to the depth of this story. This is an entertaining, emotional story that will appeal to a wide range of audiences.

Tara Kent is divorce but her ex-husband Jason is still causing problems. Judge Cameron Sinclair is the judge who is Tara's savior in court. He is also the jerk of a guy she spilled coffee on earlier that morning. These two have sparks and there is an instant connection.
But when Cameron again comes to her aid, things start to sizzle between the two. Will Cameron convince Tara that he is worth taking a chance on?
I loved this story and there are a few twists that make things interesting. I love when a woman character tries to overcome a bad abusive relationship and heal from it. I can't tell you if she moves on in this story but it is a great book about overcoming the past and learning about yourself and who and if you can trust again. Great book, One-click it today!

Tara isn't looking for a man especially after the stress her husband created in her life. Cameron is a judge working in family court ruling over divorce cases. When he and Tara lock horns in Starbucks, it was a gut reaction that drew him towards her and when she spilled coffee all over him by mistake her breakdown and tears almost had him pulling her in to hold and comfort but she wasn't his to do so. Imagine his surprise when she was one of his court cases. All of these interactions lead them down the road along their journey one that will have several emotional ups and downs that will guarantee to have you in their corner cheering them on to a second chance for happiness! I voluntarily agreed to receive an ARC of this book for an honest review

I loved Cameron and all his effort to make her see how much worth she carries in the world. Reading about their relationship you can see how she slowly began to blossom and see that she deserved so much more that life gave her.
I'm definitely coming back to this series because these girls are a lot of fun.

It maybe fiction but could so be a real life story it is a true story of never giving up Hope where love is concerned.
Tara feels all she has is bad luck and if it wasn’t for bad luck she wouldn’t have any. Until a tropical storm hits the island and she is trapped with sexy hot motorcycle riding judge, she met earlier today in court, then again maybe her luck is turning around. Cameron is hot and protective and instantly attracted to Tara when they first met with him wearing her coffee.
It’s an emotional read and loved every page I turned! ❤️❤️❤️
