Seventeen-year-old Becca and eighteen-year-old Maddox have something in common. They're both victims. But despite their similar circumstances, they have completely different desires. ENTER LIGHT is the second installation in the Shadow Copy Series.
Michele Leathers's books have climbed to the top of Amazon bestseller lists. Her novels are fast-paced and full of jaw-dropping twists that will keep readers guessing till the end. Michele Leathers received a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from North Carolina State University and is a full time writer. She's not ashamed to admit that she's addicted to Diet Pepsi, chocolate, and writing. She's a shrewd observer of people, always looking for ideas and inspiration for her books.
I am convinced that Michele Leathers has a writer's cauldron.
Me imagining her writing process: Michele standing over her black cauldron. "Ok, I want murder, ghosts, body theives, lies, deception, good, evil." Poof Poof! " Then, let's add heartthrob boyfriend.... Scratch that... Cowboy, heartthrob, sexy as all get-up, Kiefer Sutherland- like gentleman boyfriend." Sizzle, poof! " Next I want more secrets and mystery. Oh, I can't forget the teenaged girl power. Becca needs to handle the drama like the queen herself." Smmer, simmer, poof! "Keep the plot thick so my readers keep questioning their theories." Laughing to herself. "Lastly, the setting should be in North Carolina." Poof! " This ain't no Nicholas Spark love story, baby!"
But wait let me tease you with a kiss scene. 😘 "Becca," he whispered with such softness that I could barely hear him. The blue flame in his eyes flashed brighter. He gripped my hands firmly, pulling me in. I sensed his urgency and closed my eyes. The tiny distance between us collapsed.😘
Book 2! I was not expecting that ending. Now excuse me while I run to Gotham's deli for some amazing sandwiches.(also in NC and in her books)

I really liked this 2-part series. I like how each character has their own point of view. The last couple of chapters were confusing, but you get it figured out in the end. I would recommend this to my daughter
Book two is better than the first! All my theories were wrong yet again. lol I was questioning everyone and everything, trying to figure it out, then BAM! WHAT!?, didn't see that coming. You can't trust anyone! Not even your mother!!
Valerie, it's called Karma, baby. You totally deserved it! And the therapist, I knew there was something wrong about that chick. [smh]
Loved reading from different people's perspectives. Gave a whole new twist to the story. Super suspenseful, fantastic young adult paranormal books. The perfect way to end it, true love conquers all.
Favorite lines:
pg: 170 "The living do the stupidest things when they think no one is watching. But spirits are everywhere. We see it all, and when you join the dead, you very quickly realize that all of your deceased ancestors know exactly what kind of a fool and a reprobate you were in the flesh. The best thing you could do to avoid post-mortality shame would be to live every moment like your deceased grandparents are sitting right in front of you, watching your every move." Hilarious!!!
pg: 190 Tate stopped running her fingers through her hair and looked at me through the reflection in the mirror. "The men who killed me aren't the only ones I want to exact revenge on. If I ever found the girl who is living inside my body, I'd haunt her like a freaking demon - I totally would. I'd drive her bat crazy." hahaha, me too, ME TOO!
Oh yeah!!! Even better than the first one. I couldn't put this down. The suspense and action never let up. The major twist at the end was so unpredictable. Loved it!
4.5 stars! This sequel was a little darker, a little creepy at times, but so good! The romance was done well—not too much, just right. There was a GREAT plot twist and a very satisfying conclusion.
This was a nice continuation of the first book. It brings up the moral and ethical dilemmas, but allows the reader to create their own conclusions on those matters.
