Holy god. Holy Jesus. Holy crap. The start was kinda. Slow but GODDAMN. THIS IS SO FUCKING GOOD. The gold goddess is. My favorite character. In a book. I’ve read this year. A woman who was blinded by love and granted a wish to a man that ruined her afterlife and now she is forced. Over and over to kill her own children and she hates it but she has to do it because of something someone asked of her when she was young. God. The scene of her “killing” roan is just. Her tears of sorrow saying she doesn’t want to kill another innocent soul. Holy god. I love it. I love it so much. The tragic love story between the main characters. Makes sense. They have backstory? Unheard of. They make decisions that make sense to their character? Crazy. It’s not a lot to ask for but. Holy god it’s so good. And the art. It’s so good. I just finished season 1. The first 40 chapters were the prologue??? I can’t. I’m glad this is the last thing I read of 2024. It’s. It’s amazing.

i think it's too fast for me? i get that the main lead's being made out to be a casanova (but there are hints that he isn't) but it's still so fast

i also don't enjoy the "disguising myself as someone else" trope. just a personal preference
