Owen was at a loss. His wife, Maya, had died of cancer. Why was it her, instead of him? After all, he is a Navy Seal and puts his life on the line every time he goes on a mission.

He was heading to his apartment when he saw an open door. He entered to rescue the maiden, Evie, from being raped. She reminded him of Maya, so even though they lived in the same building, he was determined to put distance between them.

Of course, it’s romantic suspense, so it isn”t hard to figure out they will get together. The thing is, Jane Blythe throws twists and turns willy nilly, so we can never be sure how they will get there. And so…

Owen comes home from a mission to find Evie packed and ready to go. She is leaving him. His past came back to smack him in the face and it was too late to come clean. She had always felt like second best. Now, she felt used, was crushed, and, until the cartel came knocking at her door, she wanted nothing to do with him.

She becomes a threat to the Perez Cartel and the entire Seal team knows just how deadly they can be. They have dealt with them before. The cartel is deadly, dealing in kidnapping, torture, trafficking and murder, to keep the drugs running.

Every move they make to hide and protect her, they are found. How can he keep her safe and have a chance at winning her back?

The suspense builds and even though I have a good idea how it will end…wink, wink…the nonstop action and danger was one wild ride. I am tired and ready for bed, but I have to know…

…and Jane Blythe has me wanting to hear Shark’s story. He deserves a happy ever after too. What do I see when I reach the end? It is like Jane read my mind. Shark’s story is next in line. Hoorah.

I knew I should avoid it because I HATE the dead ex love trope. But I love this authors writing style. Not enough to finish the book. Don’t even care how it ends. Wish she’d find someone else. Don’t believe in their HEA. I’m sorry but yes she’s second best and to those saying she made him work for forgiveness- you must have read a different book than I did. I had to DNF because I got so freaking sick of hearing how much he loved his dead wife. He couldn’t think of the h without thinking of the ex. Couldn’t think about his love without thinking about the ex. Nope not for me.

I really enjoyed Owen and Evie's story. Such a fantastic couple. Wow what horrific events these two had to go through. I really really loved Owen. He had such tenacity to get his girl and do whatever he had to do to achieve his goal plus keep her safe. I also loved that these women fought for their lives and didn't just depend on the men. There was so many different emotions going on in this story from love to loss to heartbreak to finally love. I really love this book but also this series rocks. This author is phenomenal. Can't wait for Sharks book.

A secret that Fox kept from Evie broke her to her soul. She felt like a replacement for his late wife Maya. She didn’t believe he truly loved her, and walked away broken-hearted, leaving the life she thought was her forever. When Evie finds herself in the wrong place at the wrong time and needs help she reaches out, but when Fox finds out he wants in and wants to get his girl. She will always be his girl and all he wants is to prove that what they had wasn’t a lie that it was as real as it gets. Their story is truly emotional, the sadness you feel when everything is brought to the forefront, and the love they feel for each other still lingers after years apart. I really enjoyed these two I think more than the others. Don’t get me wrong I love them all, but their story really makes you sit down and take a minute to think about your life and appreciate what you have while you have it and remember that anything worth having in life is worth fighting for.

Holy moly, this is another awesome book by this author who never fails to craft sensational suspense stories with a fabulous romance as well. I really liked how some things were linked back into this story from others, however, it doesn’t detract from the story if you haven’t read the other two books in this Saving SEALs series. Mind you, they are great stories so it’s not a hardship to read them, I guarantee you will enjoy them too.

Owen, aka Fox, is a Navy SEAL who meets Evie in unfortunate circumstances but they become friends, then eventually marry. Now divorced, but both still in love with each other, Evie finds herself in a very serious situation and reaches out for help—thankfully! I liked both of these characters and can understand how things escalated but I did want to sit them both down at the beginning and set them straight. 😀

There’s plenty of action and drama, I mean bucket loads! It certainly has you on the edge of your seat at times—good fun.
I love the mystery of just who the baddies are and trying to fit different characters in to see if it could be them, I had my suspicions about a couple but really it’s not until all is revealed that you actually know the truth. I enjoy this aspect in a suspense story and being executed so well by Ms Blythe shows how clever her plotting is and her devious mind. 😉

This story is chock-filled with personal challenges for the characters, challenges from outside that would scare the pants off me as well challenges for Fox and his team. I loved the introduction of the new group of people and am excited to get to know them more in the future.

Saving Owen: Special Forces: Operation Alpha: Saving SEALs Book 3 is by Jane Blythe. Evangeline “Evie” Walters has always looked for the good in people and it also seems that every time she thinks she has found the right person, they betray her in some way. She was always second to someone, especially to her older sister. Evie thought she had finally made the right decision when she married Owen “Fox” LeGrand. For a short while, they were happy and then, she found out about his first wife, Maya. Even this might have been fine; but she found out by accident instead of from him. Now, two years have passed and they meet again.
Evie was out with a friend who ditched her at a bar. Evie went out back to clear her head before heading home. She witnessed two men beating up a third man and then killing him. They didn’t see her; but she went to the police and is now a witness. The killer was the son of Les Perez, head of the Perez Cartel. She has to be in protective custody for another six weeks. Fox insists on being the one to keep her protected and also so he can work on her agreeing to give him a second chance.
The hooks in the book are there for your use. Enjoy this book, it is simply great.

Six months of marriage later, Evie found out Owen hadn’t told her he was grieving his wife, Maya when they met or how similar they looked or that they lived in Maya and Owen’s home. Hurt, humiliated and heartbroken, Evie divorced Owen.

Two years later, Evie calls Owen’s teammate to pick her up at the police station, he comes running with Owen in tow. Evie had witnessed a murder and her version pointed to the Cartel. Evie went home and barely escaped when someone broke in. Owen shows when Evie calls for help again and lets him protect her, his plan is to win her back in the process.

Unable to get past their history, Evie’s resistant but they grow closer as the Cartel ratchets up their campaign to collect Evie. A cameo from sister series Prey ratchets up Evie’s protection. Meanwhile, dissension within the cartel brings changes.

OMG!!! The Saving Seals series by Jane Blythe is AMAZING and every book makes is better and better. So far Owen is by far my favorite. (Okay so the others are just as great) but I have to rave about Owen. He is a lost soul until Evie. And even though their first meet was heart breaking, they connected at a deeper level instantly.

Fast forward and Owen has lost everything once again. My heart hurt for him. Then we have trouble and trouble always calls out to our Seals.

Saving Owen still has Jane's signature writing. I know for certain I lose all time when I read Saving Owen. It is a story that breaks you apart and then slowly puts you back together again. #2021BookRec

This is the 3rd book in this awesome series and is Owen /Fox and Evie’s story. Owen was grieving when he met Evie and they became friends which turned into more, that is until secrets ruined their relationship, and Evie left broken hearted. Now 2-years later Evie is in danger from a ruthless cartel after she was in the wrong place at the wrong time, and with no other options she turns to Owen and his seal team to protect her and keep her safe, Owen who has been biding his time jumps at the opportunity to convince Evie to give them a 2nd chance. This is a well written flawless story which is emotionally charged, and with secrets, redemption, intrigue, danger, suspense, loss, heartbreak, and love, which leads to a poignant and entertaining page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Owen and evie

Book three continues.poor abby really again.This book is about Owen (fox) and Evie his ex wife.But the whole team is in it a lot to.not sure why we was in the mind of Miguel at least two times it felt pointless and took up page time, I also felt the time in the cabin was to long I got bored at one point if not a few times, yes yes he never told her about Maya his dead wife and oh she looks like her to (poor Evie felt sorry for her) but how many time did it get mentioned but not talked about heart to heart.it got old, they was friends for at least 9 months before dating it's not like he saw her thought Maya and pounced.yes odd that he never told his friend about her but still.she had just been raped when he met her naked under attack.they both had stuff to sort out.would of liked to see more art of hers being done?

Be still my heart because Owen and Evie have stolen it. I loved this couple so much and this book wowed me. I felt every bit of anguish and frustration as Owen and Evie navigated themselves and their relationship through some trauma and drama but mainly the fact that Evie felt that Owen had deceived her and not told her all the truth of his past. Once again Jane Blythe gives us another well written book with warm and great characters and a story that takes you on a journey of love and also some self discovery. A truly great series that I am enjoying but am also loving spending time with all these great characters and strong, alpha SEALS.

You never realize you had a good thing until it's gone.
Owen aka Fox is a alpha Navy Seals.
His one mistake was lying by omission to his wife about Maya. His deceased wife. A lie that shattered Evie thus causing a divorce. Broken heart. Loss of trust.
Evie was in the wrong place at the wrong time. What she witnessed has put her life in danger with the cartel. Reaching out to Owen's team of Seals are the only ones she trusts.
When Owen gets wind of Evie's predicament he's hurt but understands why she didn't call him. Determined more than ever he will do whatever it takes for redemption in order to get his woman back.
You feel so many emotions of the characters in Saving Owen.
Mystery, suspense, action packed drama, betrayal, redemption, murder, love and light steamy scenes.

A great book!

This is book 3 of the series and it can be read as a standalone but it should be read in order.

The author sinks you into the world of Susan Stoker (and who doesn't love that) and yet had her own personality and writing style.
There are really great characters, this book definitely makes up for the first two and their lack of depth. This one has depth for the characters, a complete backstory, alpha males, strong women, some suspense, some unexpected bits and it was an absolute pleasure to read. The book still feels like it is a bit rushed (for my preference).

The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because most readers overlook the 5 star reviews.

Owen (Fox) thought he had it when he met Evie, but he was keeping a secret and that is what tore them apart. Two years go by and Evie is in trouble and needs help, but even with a threat will they be able to reconcile or will there be too much pain and anguish from the past? I was totally sucked into this book. Right from the start you could feel all the emotions, from these characters and they will pull everything out and take you on a read that will blow your mind and habe you wanting more. This author truly knows how to give you action, romance, suspense, and roll it all up and keep you on yhe edge till the end and will keep you coming back more for more.

Second chances and communication

Owen (Fox) and Evie go through the wringer while they work towards their HEA. They have a horrible first meet, a lovely relationship, a heartbreaking misunderstanding and divorce, a call for help and then emotions continue to unfold. Great writing and interesting story. An old nemesis appears and impacts both Abby and Evie. The guys work with Wolf and his team and Eagle and Prey security (not sure if that is another series?) to fix the problem and save their loved ones. Good amount of action and great development of the team and characters. I can’t wait for more books, especially Shark and Chaos!

Such a great series in this Susan Stoker World. We get a little taste of the original team in the book's final mission.
This book is Owen and his SEAL team. A possible second chance with his ex after they were driven apart over circumstances that involved them both. She has witnessed a crime and her life is in danger. With dirty cops and a crime syndicate how will it be possible to stay alive? Hopefully with the help of the SEAL team.
A lot of suspense and action in this story, just when it seemed to be winding down the author threw in another twist. The last hour of this story especially will have you glued to your kindle.
Great series, I love every one of these books.

He lost her once because he wasn't wholly honest with her. She's in trouble for being in the wrong place at the wrong time and seeing something she shouldn't. He determined to keep her safe if nothing else. His ultimate goal? Winning her back. She left him because she was a substitute for his real love and she deserves better. Only problem is that she still loves him despite the way he hurt her. They dodge bad guys and bullets. Unfortunately, they're tenacious and despite his best efforts her life is in danger still. Owen and Evie will make you root for them because they belong together. Great action in this book. You won't want to put it down.

Great storyline between Owen and Evie. This book covers loss and how a person can move on.
Owen finds Evie being assaulted and comes to her rescue. From there a friendship grows and they get married and believe life is great. It is until Evie sees Owen at a cemetery and after he leaves she finds a secret that Owen failed to tell her; that he was married before.
She decides that she can no longer trust him and she leaves.

This book has a lot of depth and it’s a must read so pick it up to find out the rest of the story. You won’t be disappointed.

Two people who learn what is truly important in life, which is something we can all relate to in some way right? Boy did Owen screw up by letting Evie go! She made him work for it, to get her love back and I kind of agree with her. Love is something that shouldn’t be given away, it is something that takes work and commitment. This book was packed with excitement, drama, twists and turns, and was very descriptive. I LOVED how it circled back to the Perez family from the first book. The ending was great! I hope I don’t have to wait long for the next book!

Great!

I choice this rating because this was actually a pretty good book. I really enjoyed all, will most all over the characters. This was a book of compassion, kindness, protection, and pretty much falling in love again and getting the one that you fell in love with back. I really enjoy Owen and Evie story. I think they really made a very great couple. The author did a great job putting these two characters together. Great read! I recommend this book to all romance readers.

Loved it

I absolutely loved Fox and Evie. I enjoyed how resilient and determined Evie was. She never gave up, never waited around to be saved, she took matters into her own hands. I appreciate a woman who saves herself when she can. Fox melted me. He loved her enough to let her go and to fight for her, finally. He was so sweet and gooey, but also big and tough. That dichotomy is always enjoyable to read.

I really enjoyed this book! Great characters, solid plot, good pacing. An acceptable mix of other secondary characters, including teammates and significant others. I’m looking forward to Shark’s book.

Owen has loved and lost two women but now he has a have to redeem himself with Evie. Evie is in trouble after she was a witness to a murder. Owen and his SEAL team agree to provide protection for her. But there is ample in the police department and after both of their houses burn things only get worse.
