This volume is so much better than the first one. It's so hot, their acting blurring between what's real and what's not. Also, so many ikemen! But I'm still having problems with the speech bubbles!

This was a strong second volume. At first I was a bit annoyed by the interloper plot, but it ended up revealing so much about our leads, both to each other and to themselves.

Hayama and Shirasaki have very different approaches to acting, and they struggle to understand each other's work style. But they put effort into learning each other, and are strengthened by it. This leads to a wonderfully emotional scene that may be the best in this series yet.

The art continues to be gorgeous, especially with how much is communicated in the eyes. These two also have a very active sexual connection, but it's both hot and fun. It's nice to see how mutual their attraction truly is.

I'm really enjoying this series, and am looking forward to more.

Really wasn't sure if I was going to keep going with this series, but the second volume was good!

The pacing is still oddly choppy, with this volume whipping through the entire production of the film follow up to their TV series. Shirasaki is continuing to gain popularity, turning out to most likely be a much better and more natural acting talent than Asami.

It turns out, though, that Asami does truly love acting, which is probably a big part of why Shirasaki's encouragement had made such a big impact on him. He wasn't naturally skilled, but he also wasn't floating by on his good looks, like everyone figured he would/could/should do. He spent hours training himself by watching movies and shows and picking up how other people acted their way through the emotional scenes that...Shirasaki just sort of naturally pours himself into.

It's interesting that Asami actually doesn't have a lot of emotional intelligence; he's not even really familiar with what jealousy feels like, although he can mimic what he sees on screen. Shirasaki is a lot more mature and put together in a lot of ways, which, like newcomer actor Yamase says, gives him a jarringly different personality on and off screen. I love how strong and straightforward Shirasaki is; it's pretty different from how a character like his would normally be portrayed in this type of story, so it's refreshing.

Also refreshing: the really great communication between Shirasaki and Asami. There are a lot of opportunities for drama or misunderstandings or pointless fights between them in this volume, but they're perfectly fine about it all. Shirasaki says "hey why didn't you just tell me you didn't like this decision I made for the both of us," and Asami says, "okay, here are the other things that I've realized have been bugging me." And it's just...good. Open and honest and completely noncombative. Just the two of them learning how to talk to each other.

There's an absolutely fantastic exchange, too:

Asami: Thank you.
Shirasaki: For what?
Asami: For coming into my life?

It's so simple, but somehow just...captures their relationship so perfectly.

I wouldn't say this is the most amazing series - I'd like the pacing and choppiness to be smoothed out some - but I'm enjoying their dynamic a lot and look forward to seeing more of them.

A story about two actors who are cast as the two leads in a gay romance. The two end up fooling around as 'research' and the relationship progresses from there. Volume two bumps up the drama a bit by introducing a third character and a jealousy arc. Once again, their relationship is pretty sweet and the art is lovely.

WOW! This was so much better than the first, everything was much clearer, and the relationship was so amazingly hot, with a sprinkle of jealousy! Loved it! I’m so glad I gave this series a second chance, more to come I hope!

I will eat it up everytime

Honestly reading this made the drama make more sense. I like how the drama told it because it did create tension but some of the plot beats make more sense here.

«When I’m with you, I just keep wanting more.»

Didn't like this as much as the first one, but I still liked it. I think this volume establishes the couple's personalities a bit more. I don't really know what to say about this series except that I enjoy reading it.
