I have thought long and hard about what to say in my review. I thought the premise of this book was very good and the storyline intriguing. I read this was a debut book for this author, so decided 3 stars but felt this was a 2.5 star read and here is why I felt that way.
1. 5 years of extreme torture with zero speaking and then when rescued, after a few panic attacks,
Sienna is basically back to normal. She was talking, mouthing off to the guys and pulling pranks which was hard to make believable. I realize book time is not real time, but a little more focus on her healing would have made this story more credible.
2. 5 years of captivity from 3 men and zero sexual abuse was extremely unrealistic.
3. The story was disjointed for me with some serious loose ends. The escape plan was hard to follow and believe. Why was the scene with Reef doing yoga mentioned? I was hoping it was to maybe help with Sienna's scar tissue and muscle damage, but nope, just described in a bit of detail and never mentioned again. There was a part at end of chapter 15 where Pi is "babysitting" Sienna and the whole exchange between her and Dagger was repeated at the beginning of chapter 16. My thought was was this missed in editing or am I going crazy? Why was it repeated? There was a whole incident with Leslie and his injuries and then nothing. Why was this mentioned? It was often confusing trying to figure out the information pertinent to the story I was reading.
4. These brothers would just go off and scream in each other's faces for odd reasons.
5. I have never read rough and tough MC men apologizing to each other so much. It felt like every other page someone was saying they were sorry and asking for forgiveness for silly things.
6. The amount of times I read Sienna thinking the club was going to make her leave made zero sense to me.
7. The ending was wrapped up so quick and tidy.
The revenge was sweet and the only thing that might have made that sweeter was if Sienna would have participated.

Kennedi Darling’s first book is a solid introduction! The content is not for the faint at heart, but the ending is oh so satisfying. Sienna and Dagger are made for each other, and I was so happy to see that while it took some time to get there, it was well worth it in the end. The alphahole-ness was there as always when dealing with MC members, but it was not over the top. Dagger knows what he wants and takes it. He is firm when needed but keeps Sienna’s mental health uppermost in his mind. Sienna is bent but not broken and I was glad to see that she retained her sense of humor.
I cannot wait to read about the rest of the TSMC brothers and watch them fall to their Ol’ Ladies. I think that Kennedi Darling will quickly become one of my favorite authors!

Wow. Where to begin. This author was new to me and am so glad I found them. This first book in the series is absolutely amazing. This exceptionally well written story had me from page one. This story is an emotional thrill ride. Even though it is a tough read in parts it is so well handled you know it is worth it. I fell in love with all of the characters and can’t wait to get more in depth with the rest. I can’t remember the last time I got this excited over a new series. Don’t miss it.

I really enjoyed the characters of the MC and I’m looking forward to reading about them.

This authors breakout novel is addicting and amazing. I love the drama,action and feels from this book. Sometimes I wanted to shake my phone because of what the characters did and sometimes I wish I could of smacked some of them. I highly reccomand.

All I will say is that I like the bones of the story but I can’t deal with the constant flashbacks, convoluted escape plans, multiple character POV’s and some fairly dodgy dialogue. I’m just not invested. YMMV.

This is Kennedi Darling’s debut MC novel, Dagger. Wow! Words will never do this book justice. This is by far one of the BEST MC books I have read in a while. Kennedi took her time building the story. It wasn’t rushed or hurried along. It flowed at the pace of the characters which made the story that much more heart felt. I felt every emotion and felt like I sat beside Sienna and watched her suffering and her triumphs. Dagger and Sienna were soul mates from the beginning and the hell that they endured to get back to each other is gut-wrenching. This book does have several triggers so make sure you read them. Kennedi does deliver a HEA but it is hell on the characters to get there and you will feel all the pain and love in their story. It is a dark, twisted tale but Kennedi pulls it off and has reignited my love for the MC genre. I cannot wait to read more about the Tattered Souls MC.

Sienna is one strong woman. You keep thinking that as you read along, ok she has had enough and yet on it goes and you patiently wait for her to be done but on it goes, then we move forward and yet she still needs to suffer. Her support system is just amazing, love Pi and how he just jumps into the fire for her.
All the range of emotions are there-sadness, pain, joy, guilt, love, apprehension and back to happiness and love.
Not an easy read but unable to put it down.
Dagger and Sienna are such a loveable couple and each were able to share all their emotions with others.
Great read, can't wait for the rest of the crew.

out of the park!!!
This is the first book written by this author and it is an amazing read.
I started this book and the only time I put it down was when the words started to blur.
The emotions that this book had took me through each and every one of them.
I laughed, cried, cringed and rooted for the characters.
If you are looking for a hot steamy read...this is it.
I can not wait to see what she comes up with for the second book in this series.

Fantastic start
What a brilliant first book this was. Though not a 1% MC, these guys aren't afraid to get their hands dirty when necessary.
The whole idea was fantastic and the couple themselves were so good. The supporting characters were well written and they all interacted with each other great.
I cant wait to see what this author does next.

Oh this book is an amazing story written really well. You know its a good book when you cry at least to me that's what a good book to me is. This emotional roller-coaster of feelings. I can not wait for more stories of the club members. Amazing. Thank you for bring this club to life!

The book had a solid start and absolutely gutted me, but throughout the book the plot line was quite jumpy and scenes that sounded as though they could have added more depth and drama were completely ignored.

This book is my first book by Kennedi Darling, the first book in the Tattered Souls MC series, and is this new author’s debut novel. The author purposely draws you in, focusing on hard topics that create empathy toward Sienna, but still leave you wanting to commit murder on her behalf.
Dagger is completely swoon worthy. His love for Sienna knows no bounds. The way Kennedi wrote each character’s POV allows you to feel every emotion right along with them. This is the first book in a long time that hooked me from the first page all the way until the last.
Long story short, I freaking love Dagger!! It has everything you could ask for, all in one book. I laughed, cried, and was ready for the club to seek it’s revenge. I couldn’t tell this was a first time writer, that's how awesome this book is!! This book was AMAZING. If I could give it 100 stars I would.
Such a rollercoaster of emotions from the first page to the last one. This is Kennedi's first book and I can not wait for more to come. She told a story that let you feel the characters emotions, felt the depth their pain and the love they feel for each other. I honestly felt like I was reading an author who had been writing for years.

For a debut author I rely on word on people and I must say this is a totally freaking amazing book. Sienna and Dagger what they went thru makes you cry and want to just hug them both and help them. I must say this author has hooked me into Tattered Souls MC. This is a book that has so much emotions. You will be thinking of it after you finish and go WOW.

DNF at 50%
Let me start of by saying that this book is not bad I just got to a point where I couldn’t mentally continue to battle to understand Sienna
Did she go through something horrendous?? Absolutely
Does she have all the rights in the world to feel what she did after what she dealt with??? Absolutely
But the repetition of self hate just came to a point of ok I’m done
Every single chapter after her escape and every major event that happened was her lack of stopping and analyzing what she’s thinking
I completely understand that it’s supposed to be expected hello she was kidnapped for years but I was hoping that by 50% into the book we could see some change
What killed it for me was her saying she was going to try and enjoy whatever time she was going to get from Dagger until he didn’t want her anymore and I’m like really??? Are we back at this
The whole kidnapped thing was a little off because she was with them for YEARS and none of the 3 men SA her???
And the cherry on top she said she was angry/disappointed at some point because the MC wasn’t coming for her but then it mentions that she KNEW that they thought she was dead Ryan told her so so why act like even if they knew they should have still looked for her even when Dagger told her they had buried her she still thought that she wasn’t rescued because they didn’t want her
Like I said it’s a goodish book and just because it wasn’t for me doesn’t mean anything try it but be prepared mentally to keep up with the emotional upheavals

Good debut
This is the debut book from this new author and is the story of Dagger and Sienna. They are childhood sweethearts and tragedy strikes when he joins the military while she heads off to college. They do find their way together again but only after a long, winding mysterious road is traveled that is filled with horrors. They do get a HEA that’s very satisfying.
For a debut book, this is very good. The characters are well done. The premise for future books is set. This is a large MC group so we meet a lot of people.
There were some major plot and story holes that were difficult to reconcile as a reader. Some storylines were brought up and then completely dropped. I understand that these were to set up future books but perhaps not go into detail about those stories only to drop them entirely.
For example, without going into major detail - maybe just say the heroine noticed a MC member wincing while walking or bracing their stomach and making a note to ask the hero if he noticed and then leave more details for the book dedicated to that character. This type of thing happened with a couple of characters and it became frustrating.
The major issue with plot holes is that there were issues that dragged through some parts of the book that would have been easily taken care of. For example, the MC was trying to find information on people who had harmed the heroine. She had already told them that an employee had helped her. She had that person’s number and was in regular contact. Why not ask him for details like an address? The “bad” guys were supposed to be very prominent but their tech guy couldn’t find information on them for weeks even though they had a full name? Things like this wouldn’t necessarily be an issue except that they took long portions of the book to resolve when it wasn’t necessary to the story itself.
Overall, a great debut and I’m looking forward to reading more as this author is a very good writer. Just a few things to tighten up storylines and this series could be epic.

Kennedi Darling you deserve a standing ovation and an infinite number of golden stars. Your writing flows like the sea, there are gentle tides lapping onto the shore , but when you least expect it, the tidal wave knocks you down unexpectedly, consuming your heart relentlessly. Be prepared to be drowned in an array of emotions love, humor, anger, betrayal, self-worth, insecurities and heart break. Kennedi you did an amazing job portraying strength and self-discovery overcoming trauma that can scar any woman for a lifetime. The love between Dagger and Sienna is pure and undeniable. The emotional connection they share became the foundation of their relationship. Dagger's arms is Sienna's safe haven. TSMC brotherhood is forever imprinted in my heart; they love hard and conquer all obstacles as a family. My favorite quote “And one has to understand that braveness is not the absence of fear but rather the strength to keep on going forward despite the fear. Paulo Coelho.”

Missing Piece

Death would have been a blessing, but her dreams are what kept her alive and hanging on for the hope of one day seeing the love of her life again.
Dagger was just living day to day lost in a world without his other half. He only saw his love in his dreams and hoped that one day he would see her in heaven.

Some hard reading in the beginning, how Sienna could come back from what she suffered is mind boggling but I like that it took time and help.
Some slight problems with the story, a lot of apologizing on her side and swearing that she fought hard, honestly even if she hadn’t fought three grown men she would still have no reason to apologize, I found it annoying after a while, I get she’s traumatized but even she must know that she’s the victim so constantly apologizing just felt wrong. And Daggers running off in a rage didn’t feel right either, he’s just found her and he jumps on his bike and takes off for hours? It felt selfish considering she’s completely traumatized and needed him there.
It’s a great story and I enjoyed it, a few small hiccups that a good beta team would have picked up but nothing drastic. I’ll be looking for the next one.

Great debut story . The only thing that I didn’t like
Is that Dagger when he acted out of character . His woman was missing for 5 years and shows up only to have been kidnapped and tortured . What does Dagger do ? He leaves her with another man 5 min after he gets her back . The reason he left the room wasn’t even a good reason . No way would Dagger have left Sienna the way he was about her being with him 24/7. He did this again right after that . It didn’t work with the flow of the story . Otherwise good story !
Is that Dagger when he acted out of character . His woman was missing for 5 years and shows up only to have been kidnapped and tortured . What does Dagger do ? He leaves her with another man 5 min after he gets her back . The reason he left the room wasn’t even a good reason . No way would Dagger have left Sienna the way he was about her being with him 24/7. He did this again right after that . It didn’t work with the flow of the story . Otherwise good story !

Dagger and Sienna
This is my first time reading this author and I have to say that she did an amazing job with this story. All I can say about Sienna is that this young woman is a true survivor and definitely an amazing and strong person. The evil that she endured at the hands of not one, but three sick and depraved monsters are definitely not something you hear about daily, but thank God for Marcos finding her and them finding a way for her to escape after five years. Dagger and the club had been told that she died in a fiery car crash and they had no idea that she didn't until she showed up at the club house. Very glad that she started seeing a therapist to help her out and it was a delight to find out that she was pregnant after thinking that she was damaged from a surgery that she had. Dagger and Sienna have been best friends since they were children and then became lovers as they got older. Dagger joined the military and Sienna decided to go to college in Georgia where she received a full scholarship ride and sadly her captivity happened before she was leaving to come back home. Bless her heart for all that she went through and very happy with how the monsters got what they deserved. Happy reading.

Potential
For a first book, this story had lots of potential. While it didn’t quite pull it off for me, it was an interesting take on a “held by a maniac/tortured storyline.”
Parts of the story felt too rushed and it comes off as a bit chaotic. Things are mentioned to other characters, and then mentioned again further along as if never mentioned yet. Some things left unaddressed. Rushed ending. Like all that time and the guys in the club never discussed all the things with each other?
For the time length of captivity, I’d like to have seen more working through of traumas from that. I don’t believe, if a character went five years being taught to not speak or make sounds when tortured, they’d be speaking so soon again. That’s just me. Obviously, the author felt otherwise.
For a first book, I’m impressed and have high hopes for Future books. I have to take a star off from a solid three rating due to the storyline time jumps, which added to the chaotic feel for me, which frustrated me, and made the read less enjoyable at times.

What a great find!!
Kennedi Darling I found out about this author on Facebook. Always looking for new reads especially in regards to MC 's I will read.
Dagger and Sienna book took a bit for me to start but once I got into it was a page turner.
Young loves, souls mates ripped apart by a sick asshole.
Their journey is unbelievable. How Dagger spiral out of control from her disappearance. How they found their way back to each, Sienna suffering from all she endure for 5 years.
