Mr. Arrogant by Elyse Kelly is a novella that is part of the More Than Money series. This is a workplace romance featuring two strong-opinionated people who coincidentally meet in a coffee shop.
Chase Bennet is an arrogant CEO who needs a capable assistant. He believes his job as CEO is more important than anything an executive assistant does. Eden Nyugen is a temp executive assistant, she’s sassy, feisty, opinionated, and loud-mouthed. Eden has yet to work for a CEO who understands the genuine need and purpose of an executive assistant. The two meet at a coffee shop prior to Eden’s first day as Chase’s assistant. The attraction is instantaneous, but their disagreement over the importance of an executive assistant prevents them from taking it any further. Chase and Eden as CEO and executive assistant clash over the littlest of things, but they end up coming to an understanding as time goes on.
I really enjoyed this novella. Eden’s character was by far my favorite character of Elyse’s. Her strong, sassy, feisty, and outspoken nature and her ability to not take anyone’s BS. I didn’t enjoy Chase’s character at the beginning, but I came to like his character. He was the typical egotistical, commanding billionaire CEO. The sexual tension between the two is clear throughout the entire novella and it makes for some funny situations. Eden and Chase’s banter was hilarious! Elyse has written a great light novella with a fierce heroine, intense sexual tension, steam, and detail! My only complaint with novellas is they lack relationship development since they’re on the shorter side, but overall this was a quick, steamy read.

I received an ARC copy of this book from the author.
This was an exceptional story! Arrogant CEO believes nothing he does is wrong, and how he runs his business is perfect. Nothing needs changed. He believes it's a privilege to be his assistant, a lowly job that can be done by anyone (except himself).
But what happens whenever he gets a new assistant who calls him on his BS? Someone who actually challenges his logic and ways? But in the meantime the tension between them runs thick.
I absolutely loved this book. It was light, refreshing, made me laugh in places, and had an appropriate amount of spice as well.

This was my first time reading anything from Elyse Kelly and I really enjoyed it! I loved the way she wrote, she had the perfect blend of slow-burn and heat!🥰

This book is one hot, steamy read. Caught myself fanning to cool down. The sexual tension between Chase and Eden pooped off the pages from their first meeting.
This book combines two stubborn and opinionated individuals who work together as boss and assistant. Neither is budging on what they feel is the best way to run the office and handle clients efficiently. It was nice to see a woman who is quite strong willed up against an alpha hole. They balance each other out perfectly.

I absolutely loved reading this book. Elyse has such a great grasp of the perfect alpha that makes you want to both love and hate them all in the same book. And this book has was no exception.
Chase may be the CEO of a big corporation but some things he needs help with, even if his ego may prevent him from seeing that. When you run off more than one assistant it's time for some to come in and set him straight. Little did he know that the person would be a beautful sharp tongue woman in a coffee shop that had no idea who he was but made sure to leave him wanting to know more and boy did these two spark instant.
Eden was looking for a great job without being hit on by the CEO or being made to feel like she was just some girl in a skirt who didn't have a brain, when in fact she was really great at what she did. The chance meeting with a gorgeous man at a coffee house that she thought might be something turns into her giving him the what for and her stance on ego crazed CEO's, which I absolute loved seeing a strong female stand up and say just what we want to say to men with egos bigger than the room.
The funny thing about this meeting is the ongoing war that comes with it when Eden comes face to face with her new boss and its none other than the ego alpha she just chewed up at the coffee shop. And then the excitement really begins between these two.
I loved reading this book, and seeing the dynamic evolve between them is so great. It's a shorter alpha romance read an it hooks you in from the very first chapter. So get in your favorite pj's and prepare yourself because once you start you will read all of this book shortly after.

This is exactly the type of book that I love to read ! Eden is strong willed and determined character. She knows how handle CEO types but sometimes she comes off a bit harsh while doing so. She has to learn to adapt to make it look like Chase is making decisions not her. The minute these two meet, there's chemistry. All thru the book, they clash over and over again but once they realize they would be better together.. It's like the heavens open up and a ray of sunshine comes down upon them.. Yes it was that glorious haha. Eden is a character I loved so much! She has so much fire but at the same time she hurts and has to have her pity party. Her best friend was brilliant though! Making her get up and do things when she didn't want to.. Onto Chase, he's brilliant himself but he's also egostical and arrogant. He's running out assistant faster then they are coming in. Not one knows how to work him like Eden does. I'm telling you they have something special here. This book was my first from this author but it won't be my last.. I seriously loved the dynamics of this book and the fun that was hard as well.

Eden is placed with Chase through a temp agency after he looses yet another assistant. But that wasn’t their first meeting. The first time they met it started off great but ended a bit hilarious.
The banter is phenomenal and the sexual tension flames off the pages. This is such a great quick office romance not without steam, tension and detail.

I love when a woman is fierce and can stand her own. That is Eden! Chase met his match, and he had no choice but to respect himself and listen. Despite Chase being Mr. Arrogant, it was sweet to see how each time they come in contact — desire oozes. Now, what will happen? Will they fall for each other? Read and find out!

Ahhh!! This was SO FREAKING GOOD!! Chase and Eden's story caught my attention from the very beginning and kept it until the end. I just have to say: the PLOT TWIST at the beginning though!! I was like "No way am I putting this down any time soon!" 😂 Andddd, a few hours later, I finished the whole story.... 😅 Anyways, this was such a great book, and I would 10/10 recommend not only this one, but any of Elyse's books. ❤️

3.5 Stars! This was a light, cute read. Chase, as Mr. Arrogant, puts his foot in his mouth when he meets Eden and their working relationship gets off to a very rocky start. Their chemistry grows stronger as they work together and they have to fight to maintain a professional relationship.
While they work together every day, you don’t really get a sense of why they like each other beyond their physical appearances. But when they do finally give in to temptation, the sparks really fly. It’s very steamy!!

Eden and Chase, what an explosive relationship, personal and business! She has a superpower when Chase touches her, and she lets it loose, finally. It's a real power struggle, CEO vs Admin Assistant, I get it, totally. A really enjoyable read, they both get childish and I loved reading each and every page to figure out who was going to come out on top.

This is a new author I have not read before. This is also a short novella sized story. It is a stand alone and features a boss-employee relationship and also is about two people who start out on shall we say the wrong foot. But Eden is such a great employee that Chase ends up stuck with her, even while she drives him a bit crazy.
This was a cute story and I enjoyed watching the fireworks go off as Chase and Eden try and fight their attraction for each other. When they meet in a coffee shop they both are attracted until Chase opens his mouth and thats how their hate story begins.
Chase is going a bit nuts and has gone through many different temps until Eden is hired. Even though he lusts after her and tries to control her, well she gives it right back to him and I loved the fun, flirty nature of this story.

Absolutely FANTASTIC STORY!! This enemies to instalove story is hot, steamy, sexy, and so so sweet! Chase is the sexy, cocky, and arrogant CEO who desperately needs a new executive assistant. That’s where the curvy, sassy, and bossy Eden comes in. And boy do the sparks fly like crazy! There’s so much passion between them as they each always insist they’re never wrong. But they’re so right for each other! Soooo good!

I loved this book so much! Eden is our FMC and she is so freaking sassy and strong willed. I loved her character. Chase is an arrogant, egotistical CEO, who is also super hot and he knows it. Eden starts working for Chase and it's a pretty rocky start to their work relationship. They have crazy chemistry and tension between them and that makes it hard for them to stay professional. When they finally give in, holy crap do the sparks fly!! This book is an all around great book! There is some angst, some enemies to lovers, and some steam! I really enjoyed this book and can't wait to read more by Elyse Kelly.

Elyse has you laughing with the banter between Eden and Chase. They have a love hate relationship that has you cheering for Eden
Chase is the CEO of his company and has had a problem keeping assistants. He usually fires them because he feels they were useless. He needs an assistant and his HR person hires a temp to help him out. Are they going to work out? Will he fire them or else they quit? When he meets a woman in the coffee shop he is drawn to her but when she tells him that all CEOs are terrible men that think they are the best, well that changes his point of view.
Eden is a fiesty strong woman that knows what she wants and how to do her job. She runs into a man while getting her morning coffee before she starts her new job. While he is very handsome his arrogance is just too much. Well when she walks into her new job the arrogant guy from the coffee shop is her boss. Can she survive his attitude? Will she show him that she can do the job?
What happens when Chase's arrogance causes Eden to leave? Can he get her back? Will his company suffer?

Elyse does a great job with this book. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and I would highly recommend adding it to your TBR list.

This book was an amazing little story between Mr Arrogant and his feisty little assistant! There were lots of emotions between them from the beginning and continued throughout the story. I loved the energy you got from both characters who are headstrong and hate to admit when they're wrong. The tension (all kinds of it) showed throughout the entire story and when the characters finally admit their feelings to each other it is heaven! Overall, it was a great story and I can't wait to read more books by this author!

Another pushover who pretended not to be a pushover. I started crying because of how much I wanted to punch her in the face. I had such high hopes for her during the book but those hopes were quickly squashed by another heroine who only needed an apology and a brush of his arm for her to forgive him.
