Hi! I'm Luna Voss, and I have the best job in the world: turning all the dirty fantasies in my head into even dirtier novels for you to read. If you like dominant, possessive heroes, dark mafia men, 7-foot aliens, or any combo of the above, you might be in the right place.
Story is predictable. Waitress who can’t stand the gangsters becomes the mate of one. She inadvertently gets in the crosshairs of the head mobster. He saves her. He loves her. She loves him. Blah blah blah. Not to mention some (ok, a lot) of the dialogue between the 2 are cringe worthy. Sex build up is probably the only saving grace. Doubt I’ll read any more in the series.
I wanted to like it but it was difficult. Melyta is hard to like. She doesn't know who she is or what she wants. Baron is more relatable. These is also a lack of explanation of their culture. It makes it hard to connect and immerse yourself in the story.
I feel like I could've liked this book more if it were shorter OR spent more time explaining the universe. There's essentially two plots, one being the main couple becoming a couple but i feel like it just kind of dragged out waaaayyyy too much considering the danger they were technically in after the MMC helps the FMC. I love good smut (it has good smut) but it's hard to care about the 30th time that she's getting spanked when there's a chance they can get caught for trying to hide her in plain sight. Additionally the sexual chemistry gets kind of boring after a while because all it is is her testing boundaries and him correcting them but beyond that the dominant/submissive dynamic is not really fleshed out despite the reader being told multiple times by the FMC that the dynamic is much more fulfilling than just spanking punishments. The author could've cut out half of the sex scenes and still have the same level/quality of erotica in the story.
Instead I think the universe needs more world building. Like I'm still confused about the color changing beacons ? How humans are and the voorian are even connected on this planet? How does the mob family operate? What do the female voorian powers even do or why the FMC has them? What even is the voorian culture beyond spankings? It could be that this is explained in the sequel but for the first book it feels like basic world building that should've been included idk maybe my reading comprehension skills were shot while reading this lol
I like the premise of the story tho I just feel like it's could've been more satisfying personally idk
When I picked this up I was promised an alien mafia romance with possessive mates.....
And I did get that.. How did it manage to bore me so much?? The premise was there, it checked all of my favourite boxes. I loved the first part up until the second day she spends in this house Up until that point, there was drama, angst, longing and a sense of forbidden love plus the smut scenes were fire.
But then they just accepted each other sooo fast, like gurl are you not going to fight him a little bit more? And she became one of those mates that she used to make fun of at the beginning. I was really sad when I found myself skimming the smut scenes because it was almost a carbon copy of the last one.
Owned has a good premise but lacks all but novice construction. One fault is how does Barion’s mate acquire a suitcase when they never returned to their room as they saw their silhouettes from the beach? I’m no prude but the sex seems to be fill for lack of narrative.
This was a good read. I don’t normally care for Mafia books but this one kept pulling me in. Barion is not your typical mafia guy. He sort of wears his emotions on his sleeves so to speak. When he finds Melyta he quickly falls for her only to be separated from her for over a year until an unexpected problem arises. In my opinion this book could be five stars. It has a good plot and plenty action but I think entirely to much sex scenes. After a while you get bored reading them so I just skipped over them. Melyta needs a strap to her butt. She jumped into the mafia lifestyle a little to quick. I plan on reading the second book because I want to see how this whole story ends.
this isn’t a bad book but certain parts felt really repetitive and it got boring after a certain time, also the ending kinda sucks…..those last few chapters did not excite me at all and that’s really sucky because the rest of the book was actually good. also WHAT THE FUCK is it with the word dominant and submissive or submissive being used so much😭like we get it he’s all macho and needs to be in control but there is no need to mention it every page. oh one more thing, can someone please tell me why a knot is because im just picturing a big garlic knot😭😭
I really liked the story, but there are some serious editing issues with this like “and” instead of “in” and wrong word placement. It definitely needs another edit.
With this being an alien species, I felt like explanations of the culture was lacking and could have been a lot better too. Some things I was confused on and felt like I had missed the part where things were explained.
The story was predictable but enjoyable. Characters were fun. Aliens, mafia, knotting. What else does a story need?
Didn't have the option of 3.5-3.75 as a rating. Writing was not bad but not a big fan of cliffhangers. Liked the idea of the start of the story, thought the heroine was coming across as strong but midway through the story she morphed into a whiny brat. Thank goodness she redeemed herself at the end of story and became stronger and somewhat more likable. Not sure I like her as a character enough to continue the series to finish the three books..... Really liked the secondary loyal character, Korva. Maybe a book about him might be interesting?
I would give this 3.5 Stars as it stated off really well under was very interested to see where it was going. Half way through this book it fell short for me it just wasn't as strong as it had started off. I like the beginning, the middle was ok but for a mafia book hmmm I don't know if it was because he didn't come across as a strong alpha male. I wouldn't recommend this book
I love this story I wish that both vostra affiliations would overlap and become allies so we can check in on Draga & Ashley & baby?, Turan & Kora, and of course Geddion & Lyra I was hoping to find out if they had babies. I read this story non stop from start to finish loved it …🤗🤗🤗🤗❤️❤️❤️😃😃hoping that her ex roommate/best friend and Korea are fated mates also and he finds out when they rescue her!!!
It was intriguing at first, but they got together way to fast. And I can't believe I'm saying this, but to much smutt... Or maybe it was just too repetitive. If the author cut down on smutt and focused more one the character development, maybe I would be able to read it with more interest. Tbh I skimmed through the half of the book just to finish it already. Three stars because it wasn't terrible but could do with some improvement.
This was my first ever time getting into the "knotting" world and lemme tell you....I was obsessed, the kitchen aka first time the h and H meet each other and hook up was top tier smut right there. I was lowkey hype that it'll be a few months later and they still had each other on their minds. One thing that constantly rubbed me the wrong way was the punishment (her basically not being able to do anything tbh) but the smut made up for it.
It’s a shame as I love her other series. Not too bad of a read, kind of predictable in places and was a little bit of a let down.
He’s meant to be this big bad alpha but he lets her go after she removes his mark, just didn’t quite fit how he was supposed to be. A d on the flip side she runs far to quickly and easily.
I can’t quite bring myself to read the other 2 books at the moment, might try in the future just to finish the story but then again probably won’t
So this is supposed to be a dark sci-fi romance, but here’s the thing I didn’t think it was all that dark and there was a lot of stuff that was not explained as to what it was in the book about the characters, and so it was really kind of hard to understand a lot of it like the beacon on them that’s not explained anywhere. I gave it three stars because I’m not gonna read the next book. It just wasn’t that interesting to me.
It was fine. I’ve read worse, but I’ve definitely read better. I feel like the first bit was good, but something about the MMC really threw me off. I don’t know if it was the whole purposefully throwing her into a heat thing, or the way he was super forceful and cruel, but it wasn’t really for me. Also, I hated the way they split up at the beginning, I don’t think it was necessary in that capacity. No reason for some mark reversing plot point to be done, could’ve been more engaging.

Ooooo, if you love your stories sexy and full of passion, then you're gonna LOVE this book 😁. It's full of action, full of passion, plus Awesome characters that will keep you turning pages 😉. Thanks so much Luna, I'm so looking forward to reading more of this series 🤓.
Just ok. To each their own as far as the spice goes, but I felt like it got repetitive and a bit cringe after a while. I don’t think the plot was the actual point of the story, but I found it really hard to believe no one connected all the dots before they did. There were a couple editing mistakes, but nothing too bad so it’s easy enough to read.
DNF - I got about 70% and just couldn't take this book any more. I think the idea is great but the execution is just not my style. I really don't like the MFC and some of the world building did not make sense and there at this point in the book there are a few things that still have not been explained.
The book started out with a plot, and then it died out with the death of the mafia bosses son. The sex was very very very repetitive and got to the point where I skipped most of it practically DNF after 60% and just skimmed so I could make it to the end. Definitely needed more plot and some variety in the events between the FMC and the MMC.
Fast paced, insta connection that is ignored for a while, and finally acceptance.
Barton and Meltya are a unique couple, that have to fight for each other and their happiness. They keep having situations arise that require action and bonding them tightly together.
It’s really not a bad read, I feel like it’s so nostalgic. It reminds me of Wattpad Back in the day when it was free, when books were written, and it was silly and fun. You could tell the author had fun writing it. Don’t expect much but expect the sense of Nostalgia if you fell in love with Wattpad back in 2014.
It is the same universe as the first series but different family. I am really liking that the book follows the same couple and their rise to power in the Dalzar family. I can't wait to see what happens next!
I found myself totally engaged but this story. Lots of twists and interesting characters. No one is as they seem. I am not one who like to read three books to get a complete story, but this one seems to have captured my interest.
He saw her serving his Family, the Vostra. It’s a crime family. She’s beautiful and going into heat. He wants her. He did not realize the impact the tiny woman would have on his life.
I really wanted to like it but the plot was too weak. The smut is okay however quickly becomes repetitive and the plot line in itself started off well but quickly went downhill. I think the book had so much more potential, it’s a shame that the plot wasn’t better developed.
It started off really well and I was excited to see how it would play out but it got boring after a while and the plot wasn't the best but it was fast-paced. It was a quick read and the spicy scenes made up for the plot. I don't think I will be finishing the series.
Pretty Good. Nice to read a mafia romance where the Hero isn’t a totally horrible person. It is a bit love at first sight but still kind of cute. Has more spanking than I like in a book sometimes borderline…dare I say, daddy/daughter which just isn’t my kink.
A omegaverse, mafia, star wars mash-up. To me the book was meh. It was very repetitive and everything plot-wise was expected. The smut need more diversity and I got bored with it (which never happens) :/ I have mixed feelings about the book and whether or not to finish the series.
