This was a nice quick read to satisfy that romance itch. It did feel a bit rushed and there were so many complicated relationships I definitely think it should have been an novella at least. All in all, I enjoyed it.

Ryker has just had a baby, he never knew about, dropped in his lap. He’s a little harried at the grocery store when he runs into Angel. He can’t believe his luck that she’s willing to help him navigate this new dad situation he finds himself in. This was a great read with an awesome storyline. There’s lots of emotion and family drama. The characters are likeable and their connection is years old. A great addition to this series. I received an arc copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

OMG!!! WOW!! Fab*u*lous Absolutely love this one!! I couldn't put this one down. This was a nice quick, short read.

Ryker and Angel have known each other most of their lives, he was her sister's best friend. When Ryker went to tour with his band he lost touch with Angel and her sister Theresa. Angel is working as a line cook at a diner, but she just won a job that will have her cooking at one of the best restaurants in LA. Ryker is at the grocery store when he runs into Angel. Ryker just got the surprise of his live, he woke up to baby Miley on his door step. So Ryker heads to the grocery store to pick up some food, when another woman questions his parenting skills. Angel comes up and saves Ryker from the argument he was about to have. Angel helps Ryker get the supplies he needs for baby Miley, then she takes the baby in her car and follows him home. While Ryker and Angel are talking he falls asleep so she prepares meals for them. When Ryker wakes up Angel tells him she made them dinner and meals for the freezer. Ryker is glad he ran into Angel, after they eat she shows him things to help with baby Miley. Ryker is putting Miley down when she starts fussing, Angel realizes she's running a fever. Angel shows Ryker how to give Miley pain medicine and tell him her teeth are coming in. Angel is sure she should be heading home but she tomorrow is her first day at her new job. After Ryker gets Miley settled into her crib him and Angel talk. Ryker and Angel both find out they had a thing for one another but never did anything since she's ten years younger. Ryker pleasures Angel then she decides to stay the night just in case anything happens to Miley. The next morning Ryker tells Angel that he'll come by later to visit her at her new job. While driving to work Angel gets a phone call from her sister who lives in Colorado, she's in town and plans to come see her at her new job. Angel isn't sure what to do because it's possible that Ryker and her sister Theresa will run into one another. When Angel starts working she burns the food she's working on and her sous chef belittles her for being on her phone. Angel wonders if her sous chef was passed over for the job she now has and hold a grudge against her. Ryker arrives and is seated right away, he never uses his status as a drummer for a famous band but this time he does. Ryker tells them he would like to talk to Angel when she's available. When Angel comes out to met with Ryker she sees Miley and gives her a quick kiss. Angel and Ryker are hugging when he hears a familiar voice call his name. Angel knows who it is and doesn't want to turn around to see her sister. Angel's sister recognizes her and calls her name then wants to know what is going on. Ryker and Theresa starts to argue in the middle of the restaurant, and when Angel's manager comes over he wants to know if there's a problem. Angel goes back to work and lets Ryker handle her sister. Ryker walks out of the restaurant, paying for his food. When Angel leaves for the day she wants to go home to her tub, but finds her sister waiting for her. Angel's sister Theresa tells her she can't be serious about Ryker he'll just leave her. Theresa is going on and on about how they aren't right for one another especially since she's overweight when Ryker comes up behind her and tells her she better not finish that. While Ryker and Theresa are arguing Angel gets into her car and leaves. Ryker tries to follow Angel but looses her in the LA traffic. Ryker had made arrangements to have one of his band mates nannies watch over Miley so that he could take Angel out to celebrate her first day. So Ryker goes door to door at the complex apartment buildings looking for Angel. Angel is soaking in her tub when she gets out she grabs a bag of chips and just settled on the couch when there's a knock on her door. Angel opens the door to find Ryker standing there. Ryker tells her he's been looking for her and has been knocking on over two hundred doors. Angel asks where Miley is and Ryker tells her, then he kisses her. Angel tells Ryker they can't do this and he asks her why does she want to fight this. Ryker tells Angel he's not going on tour he wants to stay home and see where this goes between them and needs to take care of Miley. Ryker tells Angel he's fallen in love with her, she tells him she's been in love with him. Ryker tells her that her sister is a grown adult and can work through her problems with them being together. Ryker tells her he wants to take her out tonight but Angel pulls him into her apartment and tells him she wants to stay in. Angel starts unbuttoning Ryker shirt and then he asks her if she's sure. Ryker then picks up Angel and takes her to her couch, where he pleasures her then they make love. Ryker then pulls his keys from his pocket and pulls a ring off. Ryker goes down on one knee he tells her he fell hard and fast for a girl he's known forever. Ryker asks her if she'll marry him and Angel tells him yes. Ryker tells Angel she's it for him he doesn't know how he got so lucky. One year later, Angel and her sous chef are getting along a lot better, when he found out she has what it takes to work at one of the finest restaurants in LA. Ryker comes to pick up Angel, Miley is almost two now. Ryker is now working with his band at Hard Rock in LA they're calling it home again. Ryker and Angel tried to repair things with Theresa but she didn't want anything to do with them. Ryker and Angel are married now and are expecting a little boy Brandon in a few weeks. Things didn't work out with Angel's sister, that's okay maybe she was meant to bring Ryker into her life and for that she's beyond grateful.

Taming the Girl Dad starts off with a rough trip to the store for Ryker. That morning he woke up to banging on the front door and his baby daughter being left on the door step, now trying to figure out what he needs when he is being yelled at by a noisy "good doer". Lucky be things get out of hand an older friend's sister step in to help. Angel rescues Ryker from not only the lady, but also helping with his daughter. Angel starts a new job tomorrow that she is excited about but her heart goes out to Ryker when she sees him.

I love the connection and intensity of Angel and Ryker's relationship. He protective and supportive, she is caring with a big heart. Together they allow their dreams to flourish and their love to grown. Yes there is a bit of drama, thanks to Angel's sister, who claims to be protective but seems to be more controlling. She is a piece of work.

A great addition to a fun and amazing series.

Another Short and Sweet One in the Girl Dad Series
Khloe Summers’s “Taming the Girl Dad” is one of a 16-book multi-author series celebrating the sexiest thing on the planet - a devoted papa bear! Ryker is a gorgeous, bada$$ drummer for one of the hottest rock bands in the world, but he is brought to his knees when an old girlfriend leaves the infant he never knew he had on his front porch. A chance encounter with Angel, the much younger sister of his childhood best friend, enables him to not only bond with his baby girl, but to explore his instant attraction to the beautiful young chef. I’ll be honest: I’ve often had issues believing in the whole instalove thing. Call me jaded, but I’ve just never bought into it until it occurred to me recently that some really amazing connections can come from chance encounters with strangers or reunions with old friends. This story made my heart a little squishy, and I loved the character development - although I REALLY wanted to smack the garbage out of Angel’s older sister at one point. Such a great addition to the Girl Dad series!

While at the grocery store - clearly out of his depths - he runs into the younger sister of his former best friend and Angel immediately jumps to his aid. On the cusp of beginning her dream job as chef at a lucrative L.A. restaurant, Angel helps Ryker gather all of the baby things he needs to care for Miley while fighting her long-standing crush. However, with Angel all grown up, the attraction is completely mutual. This is a really sweet and sexy instalove romance novella with a swoon-worthy single dad and a young, innocent yet strong and sassy heroine. A recommended read for sure.

The rock star is finally tamed

Taming the Girl Dad by Khloe Summers is part of the multi-author Girl Dad series. This story is about Ryker how has his whole life upended when there is a baby dropped off on his doorstep by his ex-girlfriend. He is a fish out of water as he is clueless how to look after a baby. After all he is a drummer in a successful rock band. So he heads to the store to pick up supplies and that is where his path crosses with Angel. She is the younger sister of his former best friend and boy has she grown up. She ends up basically saving his butt and things take off faster than a rocket ship between these two from there.

This is an entertaining short story that has some drama, romance, chemistry, family and more woven in. The characters were likeable and worked well together. Overall this was an enjoyable read.

This book is part of the Girl Dad series and focuses on Ryker and Angel. Ryker gets two big surprises in one day, the first being a baby from a past relationship and the second one being Angel. Ryker was best friends with Angel's sister for a few years while Angel was younger but the friendship ended when he left their hometown. Ryler and Angel have so much chemistry and such a pull towards each other but they hit some roadblocks in the form of Angel's sister and Ryker's tour schedule. I absolutely loved this story and I REALLY loved the fact that despite Ryker being a rockstar drummer he wasn't the stereotypical rockstar. He didn't live the lifestyle at all and it was so refreshing. Ryker and Angel were perfect together! This was such a good addition to this series!

The addition starts with the book cover….yeah…yeah…yeah don’t judge a book by its cover they say ….well we all do it and this one here it is the scratch to your itch or better yet the filling to your oreos! Speaking of filling…..wait, that’s for later. Within the first chapters you get the panoramic view of whom you’re dealing with!
YOU’VE BEEN WARNED! Ryker this sexy as all get out rock star lifestyle, coming and going of a rock star and in trouble because a baby was just dropped on his door step. While in the store Angel runs into while struggling and helps him out. The chemistry is off the charts and intense, magnetic pull can’t be ignored and these two find themselves drawn to each other and if you throw in the little cutie left on the door will they find happiness?

A fun short story as a rock band drummer gets the shock of his life. His ex-girlfriend drops his daughter off on his doorstep and takes off. She decided she was not cut out to be a mother. Only problem Ryker never knew he was a father. Now he was left to adjust double time that he had a daughter that was a few months olds. He needed to figure out fast what he was going to do. In the process he ran into Angel a sister to one of his friend's from high school. She was able to help him get a handle on what he needed to survive the first night, and he realized during that time Angel was a very special person. Insta-love had struck both of them.

First things first; I like the cover of this book!
Taming the girl dad is a novella in the ‘’girl dad’’ collection. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. Ryker is a drummer in a famous band. When someone he dated drops a baby at his door, he knows he is the dad. Thrown into parenthood, he need help. In steps his ex best friends little sister. What he doesn’t expect is to want his saviour.
The chemistry between Ryker and Angel is clear to see and I liked them together.
I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read.

I thought that this was a really good book. I really liked Ryker and Angel together. I really enjoyed the connection and the chemistry between these two. Ryker has his rock star life turned upside down when a baby is dropped on his door. Angel runs into Ryker at the story and tries to help him out. These two can't help the pull they feel to each other but they have some things to work out. There is some drama but these two make their way back to each other and get a really sweet HEA. I really enjoyed this book and I would recommend it and Ms. Khloe as a great author.

Ryker left his hometown and best friend to pursue his dream of becoming a drummer in a band. Angel Rodriguez left her hometown to pursue her dream of becoming a chef in a 5 star restaurant. Ryker wakes up with a baby on his doorstep. When he drives into town to buy Groceries. He unexpectedly runs into Angel, his childhood’s best friend’s little sister.

Ryker ends up hearing banging at his door. When he gets there a car is leaving and a baby girl, Miley, is on his doorstep. As he's at the grocery store and a woman is berating him a friends he's not seen in a long time shows up and helps him get what he needs for the baby. Angel is his ex best friends little sister and they find a lot in common with each other. It was so fun watching the fireworks when Theresa shows up at the new job Angel has and watching Angel and Ryker continue with their steamy relationship. Soooo...from just looking at the cover, Ryker looks rather scary!! Angel played her namesake when she stepped in to help him out and saved him from the "Karen"who was so over the top. But what "Karen" isn't??? I did not care for her sister's character, or lack thereof, and how she thought she was better and knew more. Showed just how insecure she was and Ryker returned the saving favor by rescuing Angel from her. They turned up the heat and their feelings for one another grew. There were too many F-bombs dropped in this short read so that was something I didn't enjoy.

I'm over the moon for Ryker

What a guy. He becomes an instant Daddy to his baby left on his doorstep and falls in love all on the same day. Angel was actually perfect for them, seemed to know about babies and finds memories of Ryker growing up. Her biggest drawback was her overbearing sister. There ceremony was some ups and downs for them. This was such a good book/story. Can't wait for more from Khloe :)

The author has given us a wonderful older man/younger woman story that pulls us into the lives of Ryker and Angel. When his young daughter is dropped off on his doorstep, Ryker has no idea what to do. When grocery shopping, he runs into Angel and she offers to help him. They have a connection but there are people that want to tear them apart.

An interesting storyline with old friends coming to the rescue when a big surprise is dropped on Ryker’s doorstep. Angel helps her old crush out of a tough situation. Enjoyed the backstory and their history, but Angel’s sister Theresa is a jealous piece of work. I liked the ending and was a bit shocked by the ending, but felt it fit well with the storyline.

She rescues him from getting in trouble for his ignorance about kids. She is younger than him, but they hit it off. Readnalong to find out what happens. Older man younger woman romance with a HEA.

Another great addition to the Girl Dad series. The story is fantastic.

However it's another story in the series that you have to sign up for a website or news letter to get the last chapter of the story...that's very quickly turning into a huge pet peeve for me.

Completely safe and free of abuse and cheating. No ow/om drama, no others after meeting, celibate hero and heroine. A very Happily Ever After

Ryker plays drums in a popular band and one day at home someone leaves a baby. Coming to his rescue is Angel, the sister of an ex-friend of his. The characters have great backstories and they bond well while watching over the baby. The storyline is heartfelt, with deep emotions and feelings. Loved the pull these two have and with the history between them, it is even better. Great ending.

Up the creek without a bottle is Ryker. At home by himself there’s a bang on the door baby on his doorstep. Fast forward a couple hours later, he’s in the grocery store trying to find her something to eat. I hope it’s not steak and potatoes. He has a baby hawk is still on his chest as he rode down the mountain with her on his bike. Angel. Because Lord knows he needs her. No cliffhanger

Angel and Ryker have a history which makes their mutual attraction a little bit strange for them, but it's not going to stop them in the end, no matter what some people may think. The story has likeable characters and moves along very quickly, but works.

Angel and Ryker’s story starts with a running-into-a-longtime-friend again meet-cute with an unusual twist. Baby Miley is adorable. Loved how they navigated through things. Angel’s sister - well, I don’t have a lot of kind words for her. Overall, fantastic quick read!
