TORCH - MC Enforcer Torch always had the ability to be protective Finding Lanie brought out all his instincts He cannot understand Ink's attitude Lies, lots of hidden secrets. Whatever it brings he will keep Lanie safe
LANIE - Artist Sister to Ink, who has no idea his sister exists When Lanie's father dies she seeks out her brother Ink however, is not interested in a sister She has to find direction, a place to call home.
This is not a hard-core read. Each of the books in the series covers one of the MC characters. They can be read as standalone but are best read in order. No cliff-hanger, no cheating, HEA The content is for mature audiences only 18+. Please do not read if sexual situations, violence, and explicit language offend you.
I really felt for Lanie in this one. From how she was found by the club to how she was treated by Ink. I loved that everyone in the club and out of it called Ink on how he behaved, it was needed. Sure he changed his tune at the end and I loved how Laine was ok, but I'm not going to believe you, you have to prove it to me.
It was great to see Lanie bloom while everything was going down. From finding her footing as an artist, to getting the show up and running and clean, heck even developing friends. All things she wasn't really allowed in her life before. Torch being smitten with her was great, as was how he went about letting her know. So glad to see how things ended for them.
And as fun as the romance was, I totally read this series for the old boys and all the antics they get up to causing chaos. And boy....this one did not disappoint!! They had a simple job get Lainie's art, check out the house, clean out the safe and find things behind the book case. Things started to take a turn when the stop for the night turned out to be so much more, but nothing they old boys couldn't handle. They sure left an impression on that town. But that was nothing, I tell you nothing compared to what went down at the other MC compound. OMG, there was shooting, flash bangs, fire crackers and mini bomb, so much stuff all spear headed by the old boys. That club will never be the same after and rightly so. Bested by 4 old men, a couple of younger guys and their allies taking them to task, but most of the damage was done by the old boys. So great!
Flashbangs, bombs, stupid MC's and four clever old men. This had me in fits at their antics. Lanie is such a sweetheart but if you look closely you can see a core of steel. She needed one to survive the neglect she experienced. Ink is a wombat, needed a kick up the tush and Torch needed to pound him. Although Crank bombing his bunk would have been karma. Such a great book, and can't wait for the next!
Lanie decided to follow through with her Father's wish to seek out her brother who has no clue who his true father is. Ink has zero interest in getting to know Lanie and makes it known how he feels. This catches the eye of Torch though who feels something for Lanie and decides he is going to be her protector. Torch plans to claim Lanie sooner then later, but with a rival MC determined to get their hands on her danger is swirling.
The best one in the series so far. I thought this was great, was really surprised by Ink and his behavior, he rectifies it but it is not instantaneous. Torch is terrific and I really enjoyed Lanie's character.
Torch is the enforcer of the club and when he finds Lanie hiding out behind the dumpster for which GL owned and they kept her there for two weeks, which is pretty crazy because she was actually looking for her birth brother Ink. She had all the evidence of this information but Ink didn't want to believe it because he thought his mother was always truthful to him, but he found out quickly enough that she wasn't. Lanie always lived with her father and never knew her mother, but her dad was so disheartened that he could never find his son because again the mom would move the minute she thought he would take Ink from her. Ink works at the clubs tattoo shop so has some artistic talent, but amazing enough that Lanie basically trained herself from videos and does amazing sketches, portraits and decided to paint a motorcycle tank. Torch and the old boys as they're called went to the house that she grew up in and it just happens to be behind the clubhouse that her father was a member of until his death, and chaos ensued as usual, but they were able to get the rest of her paintings. Happy reading.
I‘m not sure I can explain what didn’t work for me in this book, so I’ll start with what did. I like the old boys high jinx, it was funny, I liked how sweet and protective Torch and the club were over Lanie. What rubbed me wrong was the romance, or lack of romance. Torch decides to kiss her at about 50% into the book, and no dating, no time together, no conversation, nothing and suddenly at 90% there’s sex and bam she’s his old lady. There‘s plenty of action and lots of getting to know the characters individually, but not together, not even a slow burn just a busy doing stuff for the club, bit of suspense, Torch gets protective, then out of nowhere Kiss, lots of fighting, lots of painting, and they are in love.
It was a lot better in some parts, but still loads of mistakes.
While I did enjoy this book, it’s a lot worse for mistakes. There is also a lot of chapters about other people, which I hate. Brand has a few, Ink has a couple, and Sniper has a couple. It takes up too much of the book. Sadly this book was it for me. I give up on this author. One sentence had six commas in! It was ridiculous and it didn’t make sense. The ‘romance’ is Torch saying that Lanie is his old lady, they have sex and it’s over! Wow! Ink is an absolute d….head to Lanie because he doesn’t want a sister. The Mc should have thrown him out, as he threatens her. Just really badly written.
An MC not princess, on the run from that MC. She is only doing this to complete the last request of her late father. The outcome of her meeting her long lost brother? It's shocking and there are more bangs with the Old Guys.
A good story but the editing was not done carefully. I had to reread in a few spots, solely based on the editing mistakes.
Mistakes like.... and instead of had, capitalization not done, punctuation.
This book is so filled with drama it just keeps you glued to the book. Lani is a sheltered ignored woman who just found out she has a half brother. The brother doesn’t take well to the news he has been lied to all his life. Torch falls for Lani. Battles are fought, the club adopts Lani, her brother behaves childishly, the women ban together, the old guys save the day, again. So enjoyed this one. It’s an excellent edition to the series. Hope there is more. Highly recommend this book and the series. HEA, no cheating, no cliffhanger. Rnjoy
I absolutely love Torch. He met Lanie when she came to the clubhouse looking for Ink. Her Dad who was from another MC requested that she go look for his son. Ink was ofcourse shocked. But immediately Torch was very protective of Lanie. They had their ups and downs. But it was so well written and I couldn’t put it down. I love the closeness of all the brothers as well as the old ladies. I highly recommend this book
When Laine's father dies she goes in search of her Brother Ink who has no idea she exists and wants nothing to do with her. Torch is the Satans guardians enforcer he protects his club and whats his and he wants Lane. But will lshe stay in a place shes not wanted? Well written with a good storyline that keeps you attention. And characters you can't not fall for. Filled with, second chances, drama, secrets, desires and more! A great addition to the series
I loved book 4 Torch is the club enforcer and Lanie comes to the club looking for her brother who she has never met. Her father passed away and told her to find him, Ink is shocked and angry when Lanie shows up and pushes her away. Torch is immediately protective of Lanie, the club has her stick around as they figure things out. I love the old guys they cause mayhem and laughter through out the book. These characters just pull you in to their world.
Best book yet ! In book 1 Jan started with a nice story premise but horrid vernacular and the love story really didn't exist . Each book improved by leaps and bounds . This book was really good and the couple spends time with each other . I love the old Brothers, they are awesome and really make the books special. Love the story lines but still wish the couples would spend more time together. Keep up the excellent work Jan.
Another fantastic addition to the series. Thoroughly enjoyable characters, a truly interesting story. A sister comes looking for a brother, he never knew the truth until he hears it from her lips. She's an artist wanted by another club for what they think she has. The good old boys are up to their same old tricks, and this lovable club of bikers go to any lengths to protect the women they call their own.
What can I say about Torch except it is soo goood. What can I say about Torch except it was sooo gooood. Torch finds Lanie in Odds book. Lanie is there to find her brother who is a member of Satan's Guardians and that doesn't go to good. Lanie who is an artist that is sweet and kind who has been neglected all her life by her father and Torch is one over the top alpha male. Add in the antics of the old guard you have one fabulous book.
The author took an approach I’ve not seen before - the narrative was from five or six characters instead of just one or two. Interesting approach.
I have say there was very little romance in the book but the book was still interesting to me.
There were a quite a few problems with the editing of this book, I.e., extra words in a sentence, wrong spelling, etc. So if that kind of thing bothers you, then you should pass on this book.
Torch actually falls for Lanie while she's hiding behind a dumpster. Lanie is my new favorite female character. This one has more drama amongst the MC brothers. It says re-edited in January 2022 but they missed a few chapters indicating wrong narrator such a couple of the chapters indicating Ink is talking but it's Sniper. It takes a few sentences to realize it.
I really like these stories the endings not so much.To me they end to abruptly. When you read these series you get so invested in the characters you want more,to know what happens to them down the road. There are some authors out there that write great epilogues. The stories are fast paced and fun, especially the old timers.I really like this author but I would like more for the ending.
which has beautifully set pieces, held together with words that seem to hold these pivotal moments in précis form. It does give rise to personal interpretations of each situation and interactions, without detracting from the main overall focus of the MC. Worthy of rereads !
Daelman's writing is improving. The storyline is engaging. Several dips and turns to keep things interesting and I love the old timers. The love story is sub-par, as seems to be the case with the author. I keep reading mainly because of the old timers and the improved writing.
I had problems with book 3 but this one (book 4) is back where I expect it. There are words and phrases that let me know the author isn't American (maybe English or Australian) but it doesn't take away from the story. I enjoyed the way Torch was with Lanie - very protective and up front with his reactions of her. On to the next book.
These books are just brilliant. Although they have a romantic element to them it’s the antics of the old guys that really make them, and in this book they played a slightly larger role than usual. I loved how sweet and innocent Lanie was and how protective Torch was of her from the beginning. Definitely a book I’d recommend.
This book by the far best and so funny seriously love the four old guys. They crack me up every time with all there antics. I did feel sorry for Lanie as she was coming to look for her brother who didn’t know about her. He was horrible to her as he didn’t believe her, just glad that Torch and the girls had her back.
This series of books just keep getting better. I've had a soft spot for torch all through these books and I'm glad he gets his HEA. It's a superb story line and I love the old guys antics they are hilarious. A great book and I look forward to more .
Along with lots of badass biker action and old boy antics. They keep you laughing for sure. There is a very touching story of family and friendship. A very sweet and gentle romance that makes this book wonderful!
This is a improvement for the previous book's in the series, but the Hero and Heroine relationship still needs more interaction. The background characters helped alot and I find that I'm really enjoying the series now.
Trying to escape a rotten past by trying to find a long lost brother doesn’t quite work out how Laine thought it would but there’s another‘brother’ who wants to be more than a ‘brother’ and when she’s in trouble he’s there to help.
I liked the book, but I thought it was about brotherhood and family. As soon as Lanie showed up, the brotherhood had her back but not Inks. I liked that he came to his senses, but I wish they had supported Ink more and tried to find out why he was acting the way he was.
Family is not always blood. The family we choose can very often be more supportive than the one we were born to. Torch knows who he is and what he wants. Lanie is a beautiful soul who has never been treasured, yet. Very sweet story.
