“Get your hands off me,” Kristian said and flexed to let him know he was angry. Not to show off his muscles, obviously.
“Make me,” Tarlis said with infuriating calmness.
“You tied me up, you little…”
“Hmm. So you’re pretending you can’t tear that old rope?”

This book was filthy in all the good ways. Though, after reading Escaping the Merman I didn't expect any less. Keep in mind that a great percentage of the book have long sexual scenes. So, if you don't enjoy readings with a huge erotica content this will not be for you. Also, even though this could be catalogue as historical it leans more in the fantasy genre.

description

Kristian and Tarlis caught my attention in Escaping the Merman right away. A captain in denial swearing to seek revenge? That's pretty much all the tropes that I like combined in a book. And even though the enemies-to-lovers part wasn’t as extreme as I like, this installment didn’t disappoint at all.
The kinkiness was great but the love story behind all of it was engaging. Though, I’d have loved to read more dialogues between the MCs, because the ones we had were amazing IMO. One last thing, I did expect Kristian’s possessiveness and bossiness but Tarlis’s dominant attitude? That was a pleasant surprise.

A man denying his feelings. A merman feigning indifference. Denial. Revenge. Love. I'm enjoying this series so much, I can’t wait for the next installment!

Oh, my freaking goodness what a marvelous story! I adored everything about it.

Orgasmic heaven, that’s the place Kristian is. His days are involved with the most beautiful merman Tarlis who gives him pleasure he’ll never have with anyone else.
Only, he hates Tarlis. He lured him into an island, kept him against his will, reduced him to a begging needy creature.
After Kristian had a chance to escape, he swore revenge.

With Kristian gone, Tarlis left the island also. He’s lonely and can’t forget his big blond Viking.

Kristian is still looking for Tarlis, after all this time he’s still yearning for revenge.

When he finally got him, he’s merciless, rough, bruising, his revenge is glorious, just like Tarlis.
If you love hate sex, well here you’ll get it.

There is a lot of delicious steamy time, a lot! And not once repetitive and that deserves a medal
Besides all the hotness there is a wonderful story, full of hurt/comfort, seduction, thrill, and sweetness.
Again, what a great story, I couldn’t put it down.
All the five stars!

**Thank you to the author, Aramis Jordan, for gifting me the ARC of this book**

I thought Arian and Fernando were hot together, but after reading this book, Kristian and Tarlis lit up the pages. Love Love Love this story!!

This is the second book in a paranormal/fantasy mm romance with some BDSM. And I thoroughly enjoyed every word I read. It's based in the 1700's. Merman are known to seduce sailors with their song and play with them for days. Giving them pleasure after pleasure. It can be read alone, but I highly recommend the first book, Escaping the Merman, to fully enjoy the experience. We vaguely meet Kristian and Tarlis in the first book as well. Tarlis is part of Arian's group of Merman friends. And Kristian is the Captain of Fernando's ship. We get a more detailed story of how the Merman lure in the sailors in the first book, but you get the idea in the beginning of this book. We go back to when the Merman sang there lustful song. And this time we get Kristian and Tarlis's story. I love a good hate to love story and this one doesn't disappoint. Kristian hates and loves what Tarlis did to him while he was captured. So much so, he seeks him out for revenge. But is it really revenge when both he and Tarlis want each other so badly they despise each other.

I won't say anymore, but just know that this story contains lost of hot, panty melting sex. I also felt that the plot and story itself was enjoyable as well. I didn't want to put it down. Dare I say I like it better than the first book.

**ARC Review**

I really enjoyed the first book...had a little romance but this one...welllll...Just too much. I like reading hot scenes but on the constant is a little too much. What's the point of that revenge? All that hate...but it's a thin line between love and hate they say...definitely the case here.

Hunting the merman is the second in the Aramis Jordan, Cursed Mermen series. This features restrained Tarlis who ensnares an ill-tempered Kristian, when his merman colony sings to their passing ship. The attraction runs deep, although Kristian denies the pull as much as he can and after his escape becomes consumed with anger, hunting down Tarlis to exact his revenge. The opening chapters greet us with a lot of hate and anger mixed in with a high level of lust.

This book came with a fair few content warnings including some very questionable consent, it was clear I was going to need to put down the pearls, lest I clutch them too hard while  gasping and accidentally asphyxiate. But if the warnings aren't an issue for you and if you're not looking for historically accurate dialogue (no judgement, it just doesn't seem to be the case here) then this book is super smutty fun.

The MCs are your possessive brute and the cold manipulator but each with that hidden tender side just desperate to come out. These aren't exactly traits you look for in real life, but they make for fun story telling and by the end of the book I had such a soft spot for them as a couple.

Two books into this series and it's clear Aramis Jordan knows how to write a really good (thoroughly graphic) sex scene, especially with a fantasy element. The start (maybe as much as the first half) is relentlessly steamy but this isn't plotless and the second half especially keeps a good pace with interesting plot and character development. I was totally invested and genuinely concerned for the characters at numerous points.

As the first book and beginning of this book were set in sunnier climes, the cold nordic setting of this was a surprise, but certainly one I loved. I also liked the side characters and would absolutely read a book about Kristian's sister.

I'm not normally a fantasy/paranormal reader but I speed read through this and will absolutely be reading the third.

I received an ARC of this book and have chosen to leave a review.

Very steamy enemies to lovers story that is set during and after some events of the first book of this series. I really love that we're getting to see the stories for all of the men who are first introduced in book one.

This one also has its fair share of dubcon, especially at the beginning. Kristian and Tarlis are very steamy together, but things definitely start out with a lot of animosity and distrust and hatred.

It took me a bit of time to warm up to Kristian, and I wish we had gotten to see some sweeter, softer moments between the two of them talking and really getting to know each other aside from getting to see how compatible they were physically.

I definitely love this series and I think the third one is my favorite for now! I'm with my friend - I want the sea witch to get his HEA, too!

I fell in love with Aramis’s characters in the first book Escaping the Merman and wanted to know the other stories.

Well this book did not disappoint 🥰 Fernando and Arian were hot but Tarlis and Kristian are melt the page/kindle/panty hot 🔥

Some new themes explored with a little dominance/submission played out between the main characters. I loved their interactions and the their inner thoughts.

I love the descriptive scenes and the way Tarlis experiences everything, this is a total fantastical story so try not to investigate if everything is historically accurate.

Great read 🥰 can’t wait for more ❤️

It took me a minute to get into it! But I was so impressed how this book, while related to Escaping the Merman, was a completely different story.
I think Kristian and Tarlis are my favorite characters so far.
There’s a thin line between love and hate, and Kristian walked it most of the story.
I’m absolutely loving this merman series!

Here I am with another merman book because honestly this series is so addicting that I can't help it. And trust me.. I don't do commitment. I don't usually stay around for series or even duets unless they speak to my soul. I'm a fucking mood reader but now look at me. Totally enthralled by this storyline and I can't let go for the life of me.

Ok enough of this. Let's dig in to the plot.

This story is about Kristian and Tarlis. We had the chance to see them in the first book so I already knew that we would literally have WAR between them. Again..the main storyline is about mermans that lure travelers by singing to them with the sole purpose of fucking them in order to experience pleasure themselves. All good so far right?

Wrong. Kristian's bossy ass can't handle the fact that someone else owns and controls his pleasure. He's angry with Tarlis because he knows how to play with his body in the most forbidden ways. He makes him crave things he naver imagined before. And he is not ready for this. So what does he do?

Acts like an ass and seeks revenge against Tarlis because he can't just say the fucking words. Can't acknowledge that he liked it so he pretends that he is offended. Well buddy..suit yourself. Tarlis can take whatever you throw at him because he, in contrast to you, is not afraid of pleasure. He's not ashamed to show what turns him on and what makes him want to cum. I love this man.

I never expected that the trope of enemies to lovers could ever be possible in a story like this. But here we are. Reading these two hate fuck each other all the time. And I mean it. ALL THE FUCKING TIME. This book is filled with sex and dirty talking so if you're not comfortable with that then I want to ask you if you're OUT OF YOUR FREAKING MIND? 😈 Yes I'm joking of course. Or maybe not. 😏

To say that I liked this story would be too little. I guess me buying the books one after the other is enough proof that I'm here to stay. On to the next one..

This was a good little erotic story.
I hadn't read the first book, so I was a little bit unsure of what to expect here. I did anticipate it to be darker than it was. Once I switched gears from dark to erotic, I enjoyed this one.

I liked Tarlis. He was so honest in what he wanted, even when he was the one being held captive, he didn't try and pretend he didn't want what Kristian was going to hand out.

Kristian was a harder character in some aspects to like. He really fought Tarlis and wouldn't admit that he enjoyed what happened to him, and then vowed revenge. I did find it a little confusing as at the start he seemed to care that Tarlis was a man and then later in the book when he was attempting capture Tarlis for his revenge, the fact that he was a man wasn't an issue. He also turned very quickly from revenge to more and there wasn't really point that you could see it happening.

I was wondering how the issue of Tarlis having a tail was gone to effect what went down but I must admit I was happy with how that played out.

I now think I will go and read the first one as I'm interested to see what happened there.

So this is a difficult review to write because whilst there was plenty of hot s3x in this book most of it raised way too many questions in my brain to make it an enjoyable read; and I totally understand how this book has been written by Aramis Jordan as an author writing the books they want to read because it's the sort of thing I want to read but I don't want to be reading it and asking so many questions like "did they use the word morph back in the 1700s" or "did they use the terms 'top' and 'bottom' back in the day" or "blimey that sea witch is good, where can I get me one of those"!!

Whilst the writing was excellent, descriptive and incredibly detailed, the story was loose and frayed like the rope in the story; but this is not a book about the story, this is about the s3x of which there is a lot!

Apparently mermen are insatiable and can provide multiple outcomes, which raised even more questions and discussions but at the end of the day this is a work of paranormal fiction and I always suspend reality when I'm reading, just this time I struggled more than when I read about dragons or shifters or any other weird and wonderful creature.

This isn't a bad book if you are looking for erotic romance involving pretty mermen and a blond Scandinavian. I didn't love it but I didn't hate it, I finished it because I got to the point where I'd invested in the book and had to find out the ended which to be honest was not my favourite bit.

But don't take my word for it, make up your own mind for you; you should add the book to your kindle to read it and have your own opinion. It's the second book in a series so you have two chances to see if you like the writings of Aramis Jordan.

I received a copy of this book from Gay Romance Reviews and provide my honest review voluntarily

A Joyfully Jay review.

Hunting the Merman is the second book in Aramis Jordan’s Cursed Mermen series. This story shifts the series focus to Kristian, captain of The Haste, and Tarlis, a loner merman who came from the northern seas by way of the mer King’s court. The chapters switch between Kristian’s and Tarlis’ perspectives and the action shifts from the Caribbean to Sweden. Like the first book, there is an intense focus on the sexual exploits of the main characters. Also like the first book, I thought there was a strong sense of dubious consent, or at least reluctant consent. For example, when Tarlis has Kristian bound in ropes in the mermen’s cave and is (for want of a better word) putting the moves on Kristian, Kristian is caught between disgust at being vulnerable, but also being attracted to Tarlis.

Enemies to lovers is my absolute favourite trope and this book went above and beyond my expectations! You could actually feel the hate between Kristian and Tarlis and that's something I've never experienced while reading.

The book gives you a quick recap of the first book but from Kristian and Tarlis POV and you learn from the start that these are two very dominant males. Which makes for an extremely spicy read.

The only problem I had with this book was the first few chapters felt rushed. However, the following chapters more than make up for it.

It's an exciting read and I'm even more intrigued about these mermen and the men they lured in with their song.

This book exceeded my expectations in ways I hadn’t anticipated. After developing a strong attachment to Fernando and Arian, I was hesitant to dive into the stories of new couples, fearing they might not resonate with me as deeply. However, this concern quickly dissipated as I became thoroughly engrossed in Kristian and Tarlis’ journey. What initially seemed like a simple "enemies to lovers" story turned into a profound exploration of complex emotions and character development.

Kristian, initially portrayed as cold and harsh, reveals layers of vulnerability and desire for acceptance that were both surprising and deeply relatable. The depth with which the author delves into his psyche, showing us his struggle between his macho exterior and his need for genuine connection, added a richness to his character that I didn’t expect. Tarlis, on the other hand, is a fascinating foil to Kristian. His willingness to surrender, to embrace his own desires and the pleasure that comes from submitting to someone he trusts, is juxtaposed with Kristian’s evolving understanding of what it means to truly belong to someone.

The tension between the two characters is palpable, not just in their interactions but in the internal battles they each face. The author’s skillful depiction of their inner worlds, particularly in moments of intense intimacy, elevates the narrative beyond mere romance. The BDSM scene, for example, is not just about physical domination; it’s a profound moment of trust and emotional surrender, expertly crafted to show Tarlis slipping into "subspace." This scene alone is a testament to the author’s ability to convey the complexities of power dynamics and emotional vulnerability.

The misunderstanding between Kristian and Tarlis adds another layer of depth to their relationship. It’s not just about a simple miscommunication; it’s about the fear of abandonment, the need for reassurance, and the struggle to understand each other’s perspectives. This moment of tension is bittersweet, highlighting the fragility of their connection and the strength they need to overcome their insecurities.

The resolution of their story is both satisfying and heartwarming. The subtle shifts in Kristian’s behavior, such as the evolution of Tarlis’s nickname from "Bitch" to "Prince," symbolize his growing respect and love for Tarlis. The distinction Kristian makes between "making love" and "fucking" encapsulates the emotional journey they’ve been on—a journey from raw, primal attraction to a deep, meaningful connection.

Here two of my favorite phrases in this book :

“We want the same thing,” Tarlis said. “The question is: Are you going to pursue it? Or are you too concerned you’ll hurt me in the process? Don’t worry about that. I like it rough” (p. 100).

“I’m not going to fuck you,” Kristian said against the skin of his throat, his lips brushing over the sensitive spot with every word. “I’m going to make love to you” (p. 175).

I absolutely love enemies to lovers, possessiveness, stalking, gay for you tropes. And I love reading stories with misunderstanding, lust into love, beautiful/gorgeous man - all of which Hunting The Merman has..

However, at first I wasn't liking this novel and I wasn't enjoying the main characters,Talis and Kristian, either. It wasn't about 55% in where I warmed up the main characters and the narrative arc/story. And then soon after I was in love with Talis and Kristian.

And I absolutely loved the sides characters of Kristina's family, especially his strong sisters. I love strong, loveable women.

I didn't think there was anything that could top Arian and Fernando's book, but oh my god was Kristian and Tarlis's story everything I didn't know I needed. From the barrage of insanely steamy sex, so insatiable and voracious that it stretched even the fictional bounds of what the human body can withstand, to the delightful enemies-to-lovers vibes these two had, I was invested from start to finish.

If you're someone who gets bothered by how realistic sex scenes are in romances, this probably isn't the book for you. That said, if you're like me and are endlessly entertained by all the different ways two people can get each other off, boy are you in for a treat. I'd estimate that over 50% of the content in this book is sheer, gratuitous sex in just about every form imaginable. Unlike the last story, where Arian's lack of legs was a barrier to their lovemaking, Kristian and Tarlis were able to be together in human form for the majority of the story. Sure, at the beginning their encounters were all revenge-oriented and hate-fueled, but it didn't take long for their intense connection to soften those sharp edges. After seeing how carefully Kristian looked after Tarlis when he was sick, I knew there was no way all they had between them was physical compatibility. Though sex always seemed to be at the front of their minds, Tarlis and Kristian had some really sweet bonding moments, and somewhere in between all the lust-haze they built a somewhat functional relationship. Their relationship explored power imbalance a lot more than the previous story did, and I for one was a big fan of seeing Tarlis and Kristian open themselves up so completely to each other. It did take Kristian a lot longer than Tarlis to knock down the last of his preconceived notions about masculinity, but that only made his eventual submission even sweeter.

There weren't a ton of non-romance related plot points, but the story arc involving Kristian's family was my favorite by far. I wasn't expecting them to be so welcoming of Tarlis and Kristian's relationship, given the time period, but it just goes to show that true family love isn't limited by societal perceptions. I was thrilled by the way that acceptance allowed Kristian and Tarlis to be openly together, and their happily-ever-after was even sweeter than I could have imagined.

Revenge is scorching hot

This is the second book in the author’s Cursed Merman series. It’s not necessary to have read the first book, if you want to dive into the series with “Hunting the Merman”. The first book gives more back story for the merman and some of the sailors, but again, you won’t be lost if you haven’t read it.

This book jumps right into the action. Kristian, a ship’s Captain, is part of a group captured by merman after out running a pirate ship. Tarlis, a breathtakingly beautiful merman, takes Kristian for his own. After two weeks of being Tarlis sexual prisoner, Kristian escapes. Kristian is seeing red, and not just from Tarlis fin. Mostly because Tarlis made him feel and want things he never imagined he would, and Kristian is having a hard time dealing with all his emotions. He channels his feelings into anger and vows to get his revenge.

He spends the next few years tracking Tarlis and making plans. Tarlis hasn’t forgotten Kristian and isn’t all that unhappy about being caught, when Kristian finds him. These two make revenge scorching hot! They are both stubborn and refuse to admit their true feelings for each other at first. Some of their conflicts could have been avoided, or worked out, had they just said words to each other, but again stubborn. I loved the seductive, sensual, sexy ride these two took to get to their HEA. When they finally did find their words, and admit their true feelings for each other, it was lovely.

I loved that Tarlis is snarky and independent, and only yields to Kristian, because he wants to and not because he has to. And the way Kristian melts for Tarlis, becoming possessive and protective and sweet was swoon worthy. There’s lots of sexy time with these two, I mean lots, and I loved every word of it. If you are looking for a re-telling of The Little Mermaid, this book isn’t it. This book is sooo much better. I think Merman are my new obsession, and Aramis Jordan has definitely found a place as one of my new, go to authors.

Basically, a long M/M make out session with some story in between…HOT!
This story is set in 1725 in the Caribbean when ships had to be aware and afraid of Pirates as well as Mermen. Kristian about 27yo is captain of The Haste and on this voyage is plagued with a terrible navigator who first puts them right in the midst of pirates and then he plans their escape to where mermen are known to lure ships in…for what? Unfortunately, Kristian and three others are enticed to the island where there are indeed four very intriguing young mermen. Each no doubt will have a story but ours is about Kristian and Tarlis who is about 20yo. The legend of how mermen came to be is fascinating, even more so when you realize that their lust has no bounds but without genitalia, no way to fulfill it. What starts out as a way to prevent boredom and to work off some of their fiery feelings will become much more for Kristian and Tarlis. Revenge is sweet but only when you are in control.
Is there such a thing as too much of a good thing? This story may border on that premise. Lots of passion and explicit scenes with some dubious consent. All the men who are lured to the mermen have only been attracted to women in their human world. This is a whole new thing for Kristian in particular but what if he likes it?!
This was a well-written, fast-paced very steamy M/M romance with an HEA for our couple. The story was good so it really didn’t need quite so much steam to get my attention. Not that I didn’t enjoy it. I did. It was just a LOT. I volunteered to review an ARC of this book through Gay Romance Reviews. If you like lots of steam with a story embedded in it, read this book.

Of all the pairings introduced in the first installment of the Cursed Mermen series, Tarlis and Kristian were the most intriguing for me. I eagerly dove into their story unsure of what Aramis Jordan had in store, and I wasn't disappointed.

The story starts out revisiting the sailors' time spent in the Culebra archipelago, but this time readers get an up-close view of just how things transpire between Tarlis and Kristian. What we know from Escaping the Merman is their connection is rife with conflict and tension, two things that make for a delicious enemies-to-lovers romance. Add to that Kristian's inner struggles and thirst for revenge, and it's impossible not to become deeply engaged with the emotional and psychological foundation behind much of what's happening on the page.

Again I'll note that if you're not someone who enjoys explicitly sexual encounters, this will likely not be the book for you. Especially since a lack of genitalia means Jordan's mermen are very creative lovers. ;) The early relationship between these two has an undercurrent of anger running through it which sometimes manifests in their physical relationship as well, adding another layer of complexity to their encounters some readers might not be prepared for or enjoy. I never felt like it went over the top or crossed any lines, but I acknowledge that might be different for other readers.

PUSH AND PULL

This is everything I wanted and more!! This is about Kristian and Tarlis. This is Book #2 in CURSED MERMEN. This is like nothing else I've ever read before. Tarlis is a beyond beautiful man. A lure no sailor can resist. Confident, arrogant and plagued by endless desire he doesn't understand men. Kristian is a ships Captain. A man's man who doesn't believe in the tale of mermen. These two are destined to clash. Both too arrogant. Both unable to forget the other. Plagued by ignorance, afraid to feel, unable to trust. These two take you on a journey covering sea and continents. From the Caribbean to the North Sea. This will to take charge, be in control works against them. Do they have a HEA. Take this voyage to discover the lengths they will go through to have it. I can NOT tell you how WONDERFUL I feel this story is. ARAMIS JORDAN has given a new look and life to the world of mermen for me. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK AND THE CURSED MERMEN SERIES!!!!!!!!

Hey guys! I read about mermen again...

Aramis made me do it!

For real though! I didn't think I'd ever like anything like this, and I still debate if I do...but I like the way Aramis does this.

I do have some complaints! There is a warning about dubious consent at the beginning of this book and that's fine. What there wasn't a warning for? The kink...

So I can do kink, look through my reading history and I've read plenty of it. I'd just like some warning before I embark on a sounding adventure though 😂

Just like the last book, there is a TON of sex. Like A LOT! But the story is still present. Kristian and Tarlis miscommunicate a lot and so it builds a ton of tension between them.

Overall, despite my uncomfortable moment in this book I still enjoyed it...and dang it... I'll be ready for the next one!

You will like this novel if the following things appeal to you:

1. Really immersive and creative world building (mermen who lure sailors because thanks to their biology they live in a pretty much permanent state of frustrated desire).
2. Plenty of heat (as the world building might imply). There’s a plot, for sure, but there’s also lots, and lots (and lots) of steam.
3. Two protagonists who are perfectly suited, but at least one who needs to work through some serious denial before he accepts reality.
If any of this sounds good, give this book a try (and check out the first book in the series as well, if you haven’t already).

This is a new to me author and I don’t think I have missed anything by jumping straight to book 2, but I understand that the main characters are introduced in book 1. This book is pure fantastical goodness and the heat oh my!

Kristian grumpy, in denial ship’s captain and Tarlis in perpetual lust merman are on a collision course. The characters are well done, they have such a good dynamic as well as chemistry and there is a lot chemistry to go around. There is D/s situations which are well written.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book so much so I am going to go back and read the first book.

The 𝘔𝘦𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘯 series has an original story concept and so I was very excited to read it.

While definitely a somewhat enemies to lovers {mostly one sided}, the book did not, follow through with the promises of ‘𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗸' or '𝗯𝗱𝘀𝗺'. Mostly it contained heavy elements of consensual non-consent.

The characters were, initially all quite interesting but lacked depth required to hold my regard and attention. The story as well cute … and that’s not a description I wanted to use for a ‘𝘥𝘢𝘳𝘬, 𝘳𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘨𝘦, 𝘦𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵𝘦𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘩 𝘤𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘺, 𝘤𝘶𝘳𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘮𝘦𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘪𝘥, 𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘮𝘪𝘦𝘴-𝘵𝘰-𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘴' tale.

𝘏𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘔𝘦𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘯 does contain lots {& lots} ѕՇﻉค๓ฯ scenes …. so, crack ‘im open and read on.

Oh god, I knew there would be a hate fucking going on in this book, but it was beyond what I expected

This book is a higher level than hot, it is squirming in your seat, wishing you had a prostate and wishing a merman would kidnap you and do all these things to you, it is pure filth at its best.

Aramis you have an amazing mind and imagination and I would like to live there please 😂

Kristian the stubborn Thor he is likes it but doesn’t want to like it, then Tarlis who looks like sweet innocence but could technically run a BDSM sex club. They are an inferno.

But, they’re also so adorable and it just works out as you hoped it would. This book will leave you burning with desire 😈

I am sometimes disappointed at the amount of sexy times in MM romance books, especially when authors take time to really build up the chemistry between characters, then skimp on the lovin’
Well that is NOT what happened here! This book is HOT from start to finish with plenty of delightful action between big, strapping, strong Kristian and seductive siren (merman) Tarlis. Seeing them fall in love too and begin to truly care for one another was beautiful. All wrapped up with a wonderful HEA. Recommended!!

Just like with the first book in this series,I absolutely loved this book!
Great world building, great characters, great plot.I had to slow myself down as I would have read this story too quickly:)
I'm hoping there is going to be more in this series as I would definitely love to read more.
I'm not going to say too much about this,I would like to give readers the chance to discover this absolute delight for themselves.
I received an ARC copy of this book from Gay Romance Reviews and this is my honest review.

Wow! Heat and Super steam

This book is so unexpected but a good read. I love mermen and the ideas, so I had to read this—I skipped the first in this series but this can be read as a stand-alone. The world building is incredible and totally different than anything I’ve read before. The steam, passion and heat of this story is insane. The MCs have this electric chemistry and clash so hard but come together sooooo well. Just a great read—and I had to be in the mindset to really enjoy this story. It’s super passionate and heated—not fluffy.

Ok I like the general story of these books and I will read the series because I am interested in the plot. It’s not a complicated plot at all but I am invested because the author is good at making you fall for the characters. These books are 5 out of 5 spicy 🌶️ and I’m here for that BUT PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD STOP USING THE FOLLOWING TERMS: “love hole”, “love spot”, “love knot”, and “love nut”. I mean come on it’s a HARD CRINGE and it pulls me out of the moment to either cringe or laugh and I can’t give these books above a 3 star with this level of ick. 😫

I got the pleasure of reading this in return for an honest review. Aramis has done it again!
Since reading the first one - I was so interested in Tarlis and Kristian. Oh boy I was not disappointed!
This is by far my favourite merman series. Aramis is able to create realistic, loveable characters while also
I loved their dynamic and their growth from each other. This had just the right amount of fantasy and plot merge with plenty of spicy content.
Looking forward to the next one 🧜‍♂️
