A Caribbean transplant, Avril now lives in Stone Mountain, GA., with a tolerant Spousal Equivalent. Together they raise an eccentric daughter who loves reading and school (not so much school anymore). Avril’s earliest memories of reading revolve around discussing plot points of Nancy Drew and The Hardy Boys with an equally book-minded mother
Always in love with the written word, Avril finally decided to do the writing in August of ’09 and never looked back. Spicy love scenes, delicious heroes, and wicked women burn up the pages of Avril’s stories, but there’ll always be a happy ending; Av remains a believer of love in all its forms.
I have just binged read “The brooklyn sinners”, “Run this town”, Loose ends” and all the novella to go with them. Of course some I liked better than others and the ones I wanted to really read fell flat. Loved Reggie and Israel they were amazing, Sullivan and Carter, even Dutch was a winner. These stories keep you reading, keep you wanting more of them, all the bad in the world they turn it into good, they are loyal, they love hard and they are all perfect. Some of the sex scenes were not to my liking but it took nothing away from the stories. Looking forward to now reading Starvos and Daniel, then will be reading the rest Jacks, Preacher, Bishop, Dax and Deacon. Even might read Israel mums story, but not a fan of M/F. It is so sad to see everyone go even the side charters. Patel ex wife, Low’s sister and other characters. They all feel like my family now. This is normally not my style of reading but I loved it so much, will be so sad to say goodbye. Please can we have Priests and Kyo’s story, I need Kyo’s story.
There are definitely a lot of missed or misspelled words but none that disrupt the flow. And definitely none that detract from the excellent writing. As always, every character is fully fleshed out. Each story is unique and interesting, not to mention heart-wrenching. And of course the way each character ties in with each other is masterfully done. I don't typically read dark romance but I reread Avril's often.
