If you've never read the original tales of the Arabian Nights you owe it to yourself to do so. These are amazing stories which, written in the mid 900's, actually seeded modern fiction in the west (for example introducing the story within a story metaphor which the Decameron and Canterbury Tales used to good effect). Far from the sanitized versions of these stories (Alladin, Sindbad, etc.) that you find in Disney movies the originals are full of sex, women getting the better of sex crazed men, murder, monsters and lots and lots of jinnees. This book collection is some of the best and better known stories.
