Eden Dyson’s life is turned upside down by a series of events, one after the other; some are explainable. Most, not so much.

It begins with Eden visiting her wife in the hospital… and then inexplicably losing four days of her life after a strange and fearful occurrence.

Following her through her journey of trying to figure out what’s happening turns into a whirlwind of horror after horror; suffering loss, pain, love, danger, hiding, being on the run and accidentally committing crimes.

About the author

CEON is a queer Scottish author. Their first novel 'The Condition: Impervious' was published March 2022, in the Thriller genre at 23 years old. Their second book 'Allure' came out November 2023 (Urban Fantasy / Dark Romance). 'To Become a Flower' (Speculative Fiction) comes out October 2024. They have also been published in various magazines / zines for poetry and life stories. They aim for all of their books to have queer and mental health representation.

One of my favorite feelings when reading is having absolutely no idea what is going on, and I definitely felt that when reading this book. Because its on the shorter end, you never really feel super secure in what is going to happen next because the plot is moving so quickly, which I really enjoyed. I do think that the book could have benefitted from a bit more length just to build some of the plot points so that some of the events didn't feel as random, but overall I really liked all of the concepts happening here. It was a unique, quick read!

I quite liked how short the chapters. I loved the lgbt representation. It was quite dramatic at times. It made me grasp. Overall an easy read for someone with dyslexia

I really enjoyed this book up to the ending. It was captivating with many twists and unexpected turns, never knowing what’s going on or what would come next, but I felt the end was confusing and I wanted answers, an explanation to all the strange happenings. I also felt some of the plot points could have been fleshed out a bit more. But I did really enjoy this book, I feel like it has the bones of a really good 400/500 page sci-fi thriller and just needs the meat!!

The story idea is an interesting one. As I was reading there were several times I thought the story on the verge of exploding into an amazing read. Instead it just seemed not to be flushed out. With that being said I loved the idea of this story and don’t regret reading it

I really like the premise of this one. The characters are really interesting, and the plot would totally kill as a blockbuster movie. I like that the condition is used to help people
