Holy Fuck!! As my first book by author Cole Denton, I have to say I’m hooked. I should have known that anyone who runs in the same circle as Yolanda Olson, Ally Vance, and Ker Dukey would be my perfect read but stubborn me kept them on the TBR

Dark, taboo, sexy, suspenseful romance with a “what did I just read?!” twist is what Cole Denton’s Needs, the first book in his Greed Series, delivers.
The characters Griffin and Riley tell their dark story between them so captivatingly that I could not put it down.
Cole Denton is my go to author for dark and taboo romance books. His unique spin on subjects and what his characters have been and are going through keeps me coming back for each and every book he writes. Well written and with characters that you want to know in real life...or at least most of them! Another must read series to add to my favourites.
Highly recommended.

WOW!!! My jaw is hanging open in Shock!
What did I just read??? Cole Denton has been on my TBR list since I read a story from the Final Family Affair Anthology. That story was OTT hot & steamy and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on more. The synopsis for this book was so vague that I had zero idea what I was walking into. I didn’t even realize it’s only part of the story and that it ends in a completely SHOCKING, totally UNEXPECTED CLIFFHANGER!!!!!!!
That being said, it was one of best stories I have read in forever. My jaw literally hit the floor with the story twisting ending I DID NOT SEE COMING AT ALL!!!!
The story so far seems like it would fall into the DARK romance category with possibly a hint of taboo. Except for the shocking last chapter, the book is written completely one sided, from the POV of a much younger recent graduate of University of Michigan. As the story progresses we learn he is trying to follow in the EXACT footprints of the man he seems to be obsessed with.
There’s loads of over the top stalking and obsession. Lots of steamy hot scenes (while most are a solo act, there’s a small bit of both MF & MM scenes). However this seems to be just the tip of the iceberg and things look like they may be taking a turn into something far FAR darker & possibly sinister.
I can’t stop reading now after that ending so I’m headed off to read the continuation in book 2!!!

Needs is one of those stories that grabbed me from the first page to the last. Riley’s life long obsession with Griffin has had him following in Griffin’s footsteps for years. Finally landing his dream job at Evans Financial, with Griffin as his boss, Riley feels like he’s on the cusp of having everything he’s ever wanted. But not everything is as it seems, and as he gets closer to his obsession, Riley takes things a step further to remove someone standing in his way. Has he gone too far and ruined everything? I can’t stand when outfits are constantly described.
There are two MF scenes, thankfully non explicit.
This isn’t really written as a story, it comes off as an episode in a serialization. I understand it was originally written as part of an anthology, and it feels like it was published in that same manner. It takes less than an hour to read after all, so I feel like the whole series could have been published as one book
It does end on a cliffhanger.

First book in the Series and for sure Cole didn’t disappoint at all. Riley is pretty obsessed with Griffin and leads him to Evans Financial, Griffins company, after graduation. It’s a dark, taboo and suspenseful story and ends in a cliffhanger. And for me one I didn’t see coming. Cole has a talent in writing stories that keeps you captivated. Excited to dive into book two which thank goodness is already available

Once again, Cole has written a phenomenal story! Full of intrigue, twists and sexy scenes, he keeps you on edge wondering what comes next. His characters are always so complex and well written, you get emotionally invested quickly and want more. Cannot wait for the next book in this series!

Cole does it again
Another 5 star book by Cole Denton. I couldn’t put it down. This book is Dark, Taboo, suspense and a twist I was not expecting and I love when I am surprised by an ending……The first book in the Greed series does not disappoint and leaves you wanting more as you stand at the edge of the cliff.

Spectacularly weaved. Needs had me hooked on the story from page 1. Riley is consumed with Griffin. Everything he has done from college to the new job he just secured has been for Griffin. His story is dark, intense, and steamy. Every element in this story was meticulously thought out. I was NOT prepared for the end. I'm looking forward to reading more about Riley and Griffin.

I really liked Cole’s Trial by Fire series so I anticipate this will be good… that’s the only reason I purchased & held my interest for this. No rating.

Most definitely intriguing
I don't know where this journey is heading but I definitely want to be along for the ride. This book started off going one direction and took an unsuspected and intriguing turn. This book was just laying the ground work for a much larger story, and I can't wait to read it. Cole Denton definitely has a way of writing and I am here for it.

I never know what to expect from Cole, but I can definitely say it will always grab you and make you want to see where it goes and make sure it all turns out the way you think it will. Riley and Griffen are just two soles that you can't help but want to follow their journey, every dark, suspenseful, intriguing and sexy part. I cannot wait to see what's to follow in the next segment.

I loved it. I thought the tension was there, the UST, the crazy was perfect, the being ignored was angsty and made you wonder what was going on in Griffins head (the biggest tragedy is the next few books being in his head and losing that mystery) and it ended on a yummy cliffhanger. It did go a little 0-100 in the last little bit, but the rest of the story was perfectly paced.

Needs is the first story in the Greed series and is absolutely fantastic. It may be dark and taboo, but it's oh so good.I love Cole's work and was very excited to start this series. Cole doesn't disappoint. You're going to want to devour this one.

I read this in the Stalkers anthology so I didn't review it initially. I couldn't put it down. Riley's obsession with Griffin was oddly beautiful in a way. The end had me freaking for the next part.

5 stars on its own and compared to some of the others in the anthology
I read it as a part of the stalkers anthology so I'm not counting it for my goodreads but It still wanted to add it separately.
Like I said in my review for the anthology the epilogue of Needs felt more like the beginning of a second part where more things were coming so I'm glad to see it wasn't a one off.
