ಗಾಂಧಿಯನ್ನು ನಿಜವಾಗಿ ಕೊಂದವರು ಯಾರು?
ನಾನು ರಾಜಕಾರಣಿಯೂ ಅಲ್ಲ. ರಾಜಕಾರಣ ವಿಶ್ಲೇಷಣೆಯು ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರವೂ ಅಲ್ಲ. ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯದ ಅಧ್ಯಯನ, ಅದರ ಪ್ರಯೋಜನವನ್ನು ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರಿಗೆ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಹಿತದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಿಂದ ಬಡಿಸುವ ಕಾಯಕ, ನಿರಂತರ ಚಿಂತನ-ಋಷಿಮುನಿಗಳ ಪ್ರಾಚೀನ ಪರಂಪರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂದ ಲೋಕ ಸಂಗ್ರಹ ವಿಚಾರಗಳ, ಭಾವನೆಗಳ, ಅಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಶಕ್ತಿಯ ಜಾಗೃತಿಗಳ ಕಾಯಕವನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾದ ಮಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಲೋಕಕ್ಕೆ ಸ್ಪಂದಿಸುವ ಒಬ್ಬ ನಿವೃತ್ತ ಪ್ರಾಧ್ಯಾಪಕ. ಇದೆಲ್ಲ ನಿಮಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತೇ ಇದ್ದೂ ನಾನಿಲ್ಲಿ ನೆನಪಿಸುವ ಅಗತ್ಯ ಏಕೆ ಇದೆ? ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಲೇ ಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ.
ಅನೇಕ ಮುಗ್ಧ ಭಾರತೀಯರಂತೆ ನಾನೂ ಮ|| ಗಾಂಧಿಯವರನ್ನು ಮೆಚ್ಚಿಕೊಂಡ ಕಾಲ ಇತ್ತು. ‘ಗಾಂಧಿ, ನೆಹ್ರೂ’ ಎಂದೊಡನೆ `ಜೈ ಎನ್ನುವ ಬಾಲ್ಯ ಇತ್ತು. ೧೯೫೦ರ ಸುಮಾರಿಗೆ ನೆಹ್ರೂ ಭ್ರಮೆ ಬಿಡಲಾರಂಭಿಸಿತ್ತು. ಈ `ನೆಹ್ರೂ’ ಮೂಲ ಯಾವುದು? `ಇವರು ನಿಜ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರ ಭಕ್ತರೇ? ಸ್ವತಂತ್ರ ಚಿಂತಕರೇ? ತ್ಯಾಗಶೀಲರೇ? ಶೀಲವುಳ್ಳ, ವಿಶ್ವಸನೀಯ ನಾಯಕರೇ?’ ಎಂದು ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆ ಕೇಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾ ಹೋದಂತೆ, ಓದು ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿ, ಚಿಂತನ, ಚರ್ಚೆ, ಸಮಾಲೋಚನೆಗಳು ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಾ ಬಂದಂತೆ, `ಇವರು ಗಾಂಧಿ ಪ್ರಭಾವದ ದುರ್ಬಳಕೆಯ ಮಹಾಸ್ವಾರ್ಥಿ, ಎಷ್ಟೂ ಭಾರತೀಯತೆಯ ಪರಿಚಯವಿಲ್ಲದ ಢೋಂಗೀ ರಾಜಕಾರಣಿ’ ಎಂಬುದಕ್ಕೆ ಅವರದೇ ನಡೆವಳಿಕೆಗಳು, ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಾವನತಿ, ತಪ್ಪು ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಗಳು ಪ್ರಮಾಣೀಕರಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಬಂದವು. ಘಾತಕತನ, ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಗಳ ಕುಕ್ಕುವ ಬೆಳಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ದೇವರೆಂದು ಭಾವಿಸಿದ್ದವನಿಗೆ ದೆವ್ವದ ಸಾಕ್ಷಾತ್ಕಾರವಾಯ್ತು. ಆಗುತ್ತಲೇ ಇದೆ. ಈ ಬೆಳಕಿನಲ್ಲೇ `ಸುಭಾಷರ ಕಣ್ಮರೆ’ ಪುಸ್ತಕವನ್ನು ನಾನು ಬರೆದದ್ದು. ರಾಮಾಯಣ, ಮಹಾಭಾರತ, ಭಾಗವತಗಳ ಆಸುರೀ ಶಕ್ತಿಗಳು, ಅವುಗಳ ಶಕ್ತಿ, ಹಿಡಿತ, ಅವುಗಳ ಬೇರು, ವಿಷಫಲಗಳು ಈಗಣ ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲೂ ಕಾಣಲಾರಂಭಿಸಿ, ನಾನು ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಾಂತರದಲ್ಲೂ ದುಷ್ಟ ಪಾತ್ರಗಳ ಪರಿಚಯಕ್ಕೆ ಕೈ ಹಾಕುವ ಕೆಲಸಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದುದು ಆಕಸ್ಮಿಕವಾಗಿ ಕಂಡರೂ ದೈವಪ್ರೇರಣೆಯೂ ಕಾಣಲಾರಂಭಿಸಿದೆ.
ನಾನು ರಾಜಕಾರಣಿಯೂ ಅಲ್ಲ. ರಾಜಕಾರಣ ವಿಶ್ಲೇಷಣೆಯು ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರವೂ ಅಲ್ಲ. ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯದ ಅಧ್ಯಯನ, ಅದರ ಪ್ರಯೋಜನವನ್ನು ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರಿಗೆ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಹಿತದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಿಂದ ಬಡಿಸುವ ಕಾಯಕ, ನಿರಂತರ ಚಿಂತನ-ಋಷಿಮುನಿಗಳ ಪ್ರಾಚೀನ ಪರಂಪರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂದ ಲೋಕ ಸಂಗ್ರಹ ವಿಚಾರಗಳ, ಭಾವನೆಗಳ, ಅಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಶಕ್ತಿಯ ಜಾಗೃತಿಗಳ ಕಾಯಕವನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾದ ಮಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಲೋಕಕ್ಕೆ ಸ್ಪಂದಿಸುವ ಒಬ್ಬ ನಿವೃತ್ತ ಪ್ರಾಧ್ಯಾಪಕ. ಇದೆಲ್ಲ ನಿಮಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತೇ ಇದ್ದೂ ನಾನಿಲ್ಲಿ ನೆನಪಿಸುವ ಅಗತ್ಯ ಏಕೆ ಇದೆ? ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಲೇ ಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ.
ಅನೇಕ ಮುಗ್ಧ ಭಾರತೀಯರಂತೆ ನಾನೂ ಮ|| ಗಾಂಧಿಯವರನ್ನು ಮೆಚ್ಚಿಕೊಂಡ ಕಾಲ ಇತ್ತು. ‘ಗಾಂಧಿ, ನೆಹ್ರೂ’ ಎಂದೊಡನೆ `ಜೈ ಎನ್ನುವ ಬಾಲ್ಯ ಇತ್ತು. ೧೯೫೦ರ ಸುಮಾರಿಗೆ ನೆಹ್ರೂ ಭ್ರಮೆ ಬಿಡಲಾರಂಭಿಸಿತ್ತು. ಈ `ನೆಹ್ರೂ’ ಮೂಲ ಯಾವುದು? `ಇವರು ನಿಜ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರ ಭಕ್ತರೇ? ಸ್ವತಂತ್ರ ಚಿಂತಕರೇ? ತ್ಯಾಗಶೀಲರೇ? ಶೀಲವುಳ್ಳ, ವಿಶ್ವಸನೀಯ ನಾಯಕರೇ?’ ಎಂದು ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆ ಕೇಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾ ಹೋದಂತೆ, ಓದು ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿ, ಚಿಂತನ, ಚರ್ಚೆ, ಸಮಾಲೋಚನೆಗಳು ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಾ ಬಂದಂತೆ, `ಇವರು ಗಾಂಧಿ ಪ್ರಭಾವದ ದುರ್ಬಳಕೆಯ ಮಹಾಸ್ವಾರ್ಥಿ, ಎಷ್ಟೂ ಭಾರತೀಯತೆಯ ಪರಿಚಯವಿಲ್ಲದ ಢೋಂಗೀ ರಾಜಕಾರಣಿ’ ಎಂಬುದಕ್ಕೆ ಅವರದೇ ನಡೆವಳಿಕೆಗಳು, ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಾವನತಿ, ತಪ್ಪು ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಗಳು ಪ್ರಮಾಣೀಕರಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಬಂದವು. ಘಾತಕತನ, ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಗಳ ಕುಕ್ಕುವ ಬೆಳಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ದೇವರೆಂದು ಭಾವಿಸಿದ್ದವನಿಗೆ ದೆವ್ವದ ಸಾಕ್ಷಾತ್ಕಾರವಾಯ್ತು. ಆಗುತ್ತಲೇ ಇದೆ. ಈ ಬೆಳಕಿನಲ್ಲೇ `ಸುಭಾಷರ ಕಣ್ಮರೆ’ ಪುಸ್ತಕವನ್ನು ನಾನು ಬರೆದದ್ದು. ರಾಮಾಯಣ, ಮಹಾಭಾರತ, ಭಾಗವತಗಳ ಆಸುರೀ ಶಕ್ತಿಗಳು, ಅವುಗಳ ಶಕ್ತಿ, ಹಿಡಿತ, ಅವುಗಳ ಬೇರು, ವಿಷಫಲಗಳು ಈಗಣ ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲೂ ಕಾಣಲಾರಂಭಿಸಿ, ನಾನು ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಾಂತರದಲ್ಲೂ ದುಷ್ಟ ಪಾತ್ರಗಳ ಪರಿಚಯಕ್ಕೆ ಕೈ ಹಾಕುವ ಕೆಲಸಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದುದು ಆಕಸ್ಮಿಕವಾಗಿ ಕಂಡರೂ ದೈವಪ್ರೇರಣೆಯೂ ಕಾಣಲಾರಂಭಿಸಿದೆ.

He retired as a professor of English at Karnataka College, Dharwad and as the principal of that college. Currently residing in Bangalore. ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ-ಪುರಸ್ಕಾರಗಳು ರಾಮಾಯಣ, ಭಾಗವತ, ಮಹಾಭಾರತ, ವೇದಗಳು, ಭಗವದ್ಗೀತೆ, ಹರಿದಾಸ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಪ್ರಸಾರಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಪ್ರೊ.,ಕೆ.ಎಸ್. ನಾರಾಯಣಾಚಾರ್ಯ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಜರುಗಿದ ( 2016), ವಿಶ್ವ ರಾಮಾಯಣ ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನದಲ್ಲಿ ಇವರಿಗೆ ‘ವಾಲ್ಮೀಕಿ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ, ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಮುಕ್ತ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯವು ಡಿ.ಲಿಟ್ ನೀಡಿ ಗೌರವಿಸಿದೆ. ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ರಾಜ್ಯೋತ್ಸವ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ, ವಿದ್ವನ್ಮಣಿ, ವೇದಭೂಷಣ, ಗಮಕ ರತ್ನಾಕರ, ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಕಲಾಶ್ರೀ, ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸ ಕೇಸರಿ ಬಿರುದು ಸಂದಿವೆ. ಕನ್ನಡ, ಇಂಗ್ಲಿಷ್ ಹಾಗೂ ತಮಿಳು ಭಾಷೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಮಾಯಣವನ್ನು ಆಧಿಕೃತವಾಗಿ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸ ನೀಡುವ ವಿದ್ವತ್ ಗಾಗಿ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯಾಸಕ್ತರು ಅವರಿಗೆ ‘ರಾಮಾಯಣಾಚಾರ್ಯರು’ ಎಂದೇ ಕರೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ.

ಧಾರವಾಡದ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಇಂಗ್ಲಿಷ್ ಅಧ್ಯಾಪಕರಾಗಿ, ಆ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾಗಿ ನಿವೃತ್ತರಾದರು. ಸದ್ಯ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ವೇದಗಳು, ರಾಮಾಯಣ, ಮಹಾಭಾರತ, ಭಾಗವತಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶೇಷ ಪರಿಣಿತಿ ಪಡೆದಿದ್ದು, ಬೇಂದ್ರೆ ಮತ್ತು ಕೌಟಿಲ್ಯನ ಅರ್ಥಶಾಸ್ತ್ರದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಕೃತಿ ರಚಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತ, ಕನ್ನಡ ಮತ್ತು ಇಂಗ್ಲಿಷ್ ಭಾಷೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪರಿಣಿತರು. ಸುಮಾರು 180ಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಗ್ರಂಥಗಳನ್ನು ರಚಿಸಿದ್ದು, ಸುಮಾರು 200ಕ್ಕೂ ಅಧಿಕ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ

A very intensively researched book, with a gripping narrative style, which leaves you in awe of the person talked about, while giving us a 'behind the curtain' view of the person who was an enigma for many. Gripping and shell shocked.

The title of the book is intriguing enough for an interested reader, deep dive into the same. When one goes through the introductory preamble, they are introduced to exhaustive work that has gone into writing the book.
The book is presented as a set of evidences each backed with multiple references, conclusions wherein the wider perspective is built up layer-by-layer. The book is a collection of 4 different essays, each with its own theme with all evidences carefully analysed, interpreted and presented to form a perspective.
As Benjamin Franklin once said: “Being ignorant is not so much a shame, as being unwilling to learn”, a lot of hitherto unknown facets of history are unravelled in this informative book. I certainly did learn a lot more of the ancestry, which is quite an eye-opener.
Of the 4 pieces, I sincerely urge everyone to the read the essay no. 4 which is on Ideal National Leadership Qualities by Kautilya. This is a MASTERPIECE in Rajya-dharma. Very well written and presented.

The book raises important questions & presents a good number of circumstantial evidence that suggests the common narrative.
The book falls short in providing evidence for the following:
1) Putin’s 2013 speech in parliament
2) Japans laws wrt Muslims
3) Actual copy of FIR report of the arrest of Godse
It is mandatory for author to provide a bibliography for readers to cross redefine the content presented.

At the outset we can make out this is propaganda material. The book has raised a lot of relevant questions. However, all those are drained out in the tone and narrative style Its a pity that investigation of such a big and impactful incident of Gandhiji's murder has been so haphazard. It makes us to think. But continuous bashing of Gandhi irritates us. Gandhi may not be as great as positioned, but unabashed bashing and the tone does not make us comfortable
