I read only a few fantasy-type books a year. I am a newbie not equipped to make a proper assessment. However, I am entitled to say that I found this very entertaining!😇

In this story, we follow the human girl Pearl. She gets trapped in an underground bunker with two very different vampires. Read this book to find out who and how gets out!

If you think being trapped in the bunker is not gripping, let me tell you that you are wrong. There is not only a love triangle, spicy romance, and secrets, but also unexpected twists and turns. Once I got past the first few chapters that I found very young-adultish (considering that Pearl is 19 yo, it is according to her age, but for me, it was hard to connect), I found it captivating. I was so eager to know what would happen next that I kept reading late in the night. I could not stop guessing who the real villain is in this. And on top of that, I loved Dominic's sarcastic humor.

While I enjoyed reading it from Pearl's POV, I wish there would have been some chapters from Draco's. I would have loved to get more insight into why he did what he did.

While the ending was grand, I wish it to be a little longer. It wrapped up too fast, and I feel like some of the explanations got lost. Mainly confrontation with Dominic's friends. I wish to know more about the reasoning behind their actions - like why this started as it did?!

And lastly, where is the bloody Epilogue? Romance readers always deserve to get a tiny little glimpse of the future to reassure themselves that it is all sunshine and rainbows in the future! 😅

This book is written in first person POV, from a single character’s perspective. That really isn’t a style I read much of, but this book was quite good. The idea of a human woman trapped in a bunker with 2 vampires is a brilliant concept. And I loved the twist on the vampires themselves (pure bloods vs half bloods). Their abilities, and the fact that they varied from vampire to vampire intrigued me. I would have loved to know more about them.

I loved Dominic’s dry humor & sarcasm. His supposed insanity was brilliantly shown, as more and more about his long years in captivity were revealed.

Draco certainly was an enigma. I really would have liked to see more about his character arc.

But if you’re like a fairytale happily ever after, imagine one that lasts for eternity. This Cinderella with a bite might just be the book for you.

This story was soooo unique! I've read my fair share of vampire stories, but I've never read one like this. It was new, exciting, and the romance was everything. I don't know if this is a spoilerrrr, so I won't say his name. But yay for my boyyyy! I also really enjoyed what happened with Pearl and the ending she got. Again, I won't give spoilers. You'll just have to go read the book for yourself to find out. ;)

Pearl’s world is transformed the night of a concert at the lavish Botantic Paradise, featuring her famous, pianist father. Drugged by Michael, a vampire, Pearl goes from a book-loving waitress, to life as a vampire in an unknown world.
Draco, the founder of Botantic Paradise is also a vampire, and the two become trapped in a Eden by enemy Michael, who is searching for a secret.
Pearl becomes the poisonous apple, deadly to any vampire who would bite her, but slowly dying of poisoning herself through irreversible venom in her blood.
Dracos brother Dominic is in a tomb. Put there by Draco, he awakens, and a battle of emotions commences.
Betrayal and secrets, violence and revenge, passion and adventure all feature as family feuds and sexual tension rise in this dramatic love story!
An enjoyable, exciting, unique read. Highly recommended!

This vampire romance is riddled with a love triangle, fantasy, and magic. Pearl, a human girl, gets trapped in an underground prison with two vampires. Dom and Draco both bring interesting aspects to this story. This book is slow-moving between the two parts of the story, but the ending is fantastic. Many twists and turns in this story will leave you speechless, mystified, and immersed in this paranormal fantasy romance.

This book has a content warning at the beginning for mature content, some trigger warning before specific subjects. I find it interesting the author broke this book into two parts, and I am curious as to why?

Miss Underwood is a young woman who has been thrust into a world she doesn't understand. One where she must dress and act appropriately like a Queen, but she is no princess. Her name is Pearl. Much to her surprise, she gets drugged and then bitten by a vampire. This book is reading a little old school so far, like trying to border between a rich billionaire romance and a historical paranormal.

I love that Pearl is a bookworm. But being dropped into Eden with Draco, I'm not sure that's a good idea. Draco is a vampire as well and apparently the wealthy owner of the gardens and engineer behind them.

Draco is curious, displaying some vampire traits but not others. The forbidden area and the strange being that we learn is Dom is very intriguing. Pearl seems to fight herself between the darkness and the light. Her subconscious is constantly deviating and debating every action.
She is so torn by the good and bad of both Draco and Dom.

Strangely, this story is only told from Pearl's point of view. The head games in this book are something else. I'm surprised at how twisted this story gets, but of course, you don't realize it till mostly thru the book. The story also gets steamy as Dom and Pearl ignite each other's carnal desires. Who knew that those desires would lead to such a surprising ending.

I did a book trade with this author. I'm always happy to swap stories with fellow fiction lovers!

This is a unique tale. I love the twist on vampirism. It offers a mysterious plot with a variety of complex concepts and emotions. I like the parts where a characters unresolved traumas re-surface. It's realistic how they each cope with, or crumble under the pressures of their experiences. The spice in this book is hot, it gets many chili pepper emojis.

I understand the author's first language is not English, and that this is an indie publication. Given that knowledge, I think this book is well done. I'll note trigger warnings for: suicide, gore, explicit sex, and complex trauma.

This book boasts a dystopian style plot, with a dark gothic vibe. There's unsettling moments, racy humor, and hidden context. I'm grateful I had the chance to read it.

Hot and dangerous!

First of all I love Dominic! He goes right up there with some of my favourite vampires, lile Damon. All the characters are very well developed and believable.

The plot twists were well exicuted and unexpected until it is too late.

For any vampire romance fan I would highly recommend!

I had an amazing time reading this book. Note vampires were like a mixture of many vampires I read in orher stories. I wasn’t able to put it down because of the amazing characters who were introduced. A character driven story full of love, manipulation, hidden secrets and thirst for blood.
