This ruthless crimelord's kindness comes with a price. Possession. Complete and utter.
JAZZ: I'm a determined dreamer--at least I used to be. I put all my dreams on hold and withdrew every penny from my savings account to pay the debt my ailing father owes to a local gang.
Except, according to the gang's slimy leader, even my life savings won't be enough to pay the enormous debt my dad's accrued. And his leering gaze lets me know exactly how he wants me to pay the balance.
A ruthless stranger offers to pay my remaining debt. He's a tattooed crimelord, a cold, beautiful animal who regards me with dead eyes. The price for this kindness? Possession. The complete and utter kind.
You're mine, he informs me when I ask him why he did it, leaving me to figure out....
Is he my unexpected savior or my ruthless mistake?
HAN: I learned from a young age that women aren't worth much. They don't stay. They're not loyal. They weaken you, then disappear at the first sign of trouble.
That's why I don't do relationships--especially with good girls who have no place in my criminal underworld.
I should stay away from her. Let her pay me back some other way.
But I can't. She's golden sunshine wrapped in a sexy little package, lighting up all the dark parts of my heart. And when she asks me why I did it, two words rise without thought or reason.
You're mine.
She thinks I'm the mistake, but it's the other way around. I don't do relationships. I don't even let women spend the night. But this one...

Loved this book so much especially Han and Jazz. How their relationship progressed was passionate, thrilling and unpredictable and I enjoyed reading that. Many characters from previous books made joyful appearances. This was a safe fast paced romance with an alpha, brooding-dangerous hero who was smitten and obsessed with the heroine from their first meeting itself. And heroine gave back as good as she got. They way she constantly irritated the hero made me laugh and she was so strong that she rescued him from a hostile situation. Recommended.
The thing about this story is that we met Han and Jazz at the end of Rashid and it took three books (Victor and Dawn's) to get to their story, so I sat here thinking that their story will be epic. And it wasn't??!? Instead of an overarching love story persevering through we got a book filled with quick cuts, a messy timeline, and hastily placed twisty turns. I mean, like very obvious twists and turns just thrown in to add length and drama to a story when all is said and done is boring.
That thing that was hinted at between Faizal and Jazz way back when? Dashed to smithereens in 2 pages. (Which, hey, I'm not a fan of a love triangle but jesus, it would have been better than whatever the 5 'random' twists put into this book was.)
My biggest pet peeve throughout this book was the messy ass timeline. Reading through the scenarious Jazz and Han have to go through there is no way they occured within the time frame the author would have wanted it to happen. For instance
Yea, so this book had so many opportunities to be great like the potential love triangle or the distant brother returning, but between the absurd twists and turns, the magical bending of time and some cringe inducing scenes it just felt rushed. Altogether a very disappointing read.
Omg I love this author. This books had me up till 3am in the morning. I love Han . He has this tough side but when he sees Jazzy he cant help but to love her. I could not put the book down. I love all of this author books . Can't wait till the next one .
YES! this one was hit the spot. I love it when broody alpha males meet women who won't take their crap. Clementine Dove and Rex Yune took us on quite a ride as the narrators and their voices complemented each other. I haven't read any of the prior books in the series and it was clear that this book was part of a Triad universe but I never felt like I was lost during this couple's journey together. The author did an awesome job building each character so that their evolution was something to really enjoy.
The story starts with Jasmine "Jazz" showing up to a K Diamond's strip club to pay off her father's gambling debt. Her lack of guile as well as her natural looks caught Triad boss Han's eye. Han pays K Diamond the debt that Jazz's father owed but now Jazz owed him. That is how their interaction began.
Han and Jazz had immediate chemistry and it permeated the entire story. I loved how Jazz was authentic. She loved surfing and she loved her family. I feel like Han's attraction to Jazz was because she didn't care about frivolous things and wasn't impressed with his status. Jazz was a strong heroine and I admired the way she stood up for herself. I also liked that Han tried to avoid squashing Jazz's spirit even though he could have. It was a nice push and pull but when they gave into their passion, Han and Jazz burned hot! The attraction, sex and love felt organic and certainly sizzled. This was a well written story.
I thought the narrators did a good job capturing the nuances of the emotional issues Han and Jazz felt. It was a smooth audio and I can't wait to listen to the other stories. I do want to go back and start with audiobook 1.
I received the audiobook in exchange for an honest review.
It's a pleasure to read Theodora Taylor books, she can really write a story and keep it straight. Han and Jazzy get off to a really up close and personal shaky start. Jazzy has walked into a lion's or should I say Dragon's den and only Han can save her. Han keeps putting himself between Jazzy's enemy, who slowly but surely soon becomes his too. Jazzy is now becoming important to Han so what does this mean for both their futures?
A great addition to this series and great to see the crossover with previous stories.
This heroine is the sister of the female lead from Rashid: Her Ruthless Boss: 50 Loving States, Hawaii . Interesting enough, was not much of a fan in that book, but happy this one changed my mind about her.
I've read a few other books from this author so I was a bit disappointed with this story. The premise was interesting but as I got deeper into the storyline I wanted to stop reading.
This story could have been so much better but there was too many time jumps, inconsistencies in the storyline and it made it hard to follow at times.
I wanted Han and Jazz love story to be as epic as the writer was trying to pull off but it fell short for me.
I pushed through to see how it would wrap up but this was a no for me. Story seemed rushed.
I was bored. Most of the book is him ignoring her for her own good. When he is worried about her safety he moves her into his penthouse and continues to ignore her. They don't have sex for months after meeting each other. Literally, months have gone by with no text or call on his phone.
What can I possibly say about this author and the books she writes that has not been said before? Han: Her Ruthless Mistake was an absolute pleasure to read. It had me so captivated I found myself fighting sleep late in the night just to find out what happens next. This book took me through a gamut of emotions, pulling me every which way like the waves that Jazz loves so much. I liked Han and Jazz and even the churlish Phantom grew on me by the time the story ended. Plus, it was a wonderful surprise seeing some well-liked characters from other stories popping up in this one. I’m being very cautious with my review as I don’t wish to spoil the book for other readers. Just do yourself a big favour and get this one - it’s more than a five star read!
The narration of this book was so much fun to read. This book just had me from the first part and never lost me. This one was just so enjoyable and a big reason for that is the narration that was absolutely wonderful. This book was such a joy to listen to.
This book was just such a good time to read for me and I enjoyed it so much. I loved so much about this book and I had the best of time listening to it.
**I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.**
Oh wow, Han and Jazz 's story was so much more than anticipated. These two definitely take you on a interesting journey. These two are so mixed matched which made their story so much more entertaining. From Jazz's love of surfing and Han's view of relationships at first you won't see the connection but when you do it's so worth the read. I really enjoyed the comedy that's intertwined throughout the story. Also who knew Mika was so bloodthirsty LOL. It was great to get the missing pieces from Victor and Dawn's story as well as Mika and Rashid's. Now I'm definitely looking forward to finding out the mystery of the elusive Phantom. This story was definitely worth the wait. Highly recommend it!!!
This is the one that I have been waiting for forever since Rashid’s book. I could not wait to meet the alpha that would belong to Jazz. This book was so good that when it hit my kindle, I stayed up all night reading it and enjoying every moment of it. I did not want Han’s story to end. I don’t want to give out any spoilers, so I am just going to say go ahead and one-click Han and his little surfer girl’s story.
Loved Han and Jazz! They had amazing chemistry and the story line fit in with the series perfectly. Theodora such a talented author who delivers a story that pulls you in and keeps you up at night to find out what happens. Lose sleep and buy this book!
An excellent addition to an amazing series! I was almost late coming back from my lunch break trying to finish up a few chapters.I can’t wait to find out who Phantom’s fiancé is! I’m never disappointed in anything written by Theodora Taylor!
I have to say Han's story is my favorite in the Ruthless Triad series . Jazz and Han's story was a emotional roller coaster and I enjoyed really enjoyed the ride. I loved the strong personalities from both the hero and heroine which made for some entertaining back in forth where neither Jazz nor Han wanted to give an inch. Thank you Ms Taylor for another winner!
I love this series. I have read and reviewed every single one of the ever since PA. I have been waiting for Han ( although his name was never spoken) and Jasmine since Mika and Rashid. I knew it was going to good before I read it and I was right. This was so good. Ms. Taylor just sucks you in with these books and the little Easter eggs from past books and hints of books to come. If you have not read the 50 Loving States Series, you are missing out! Each one is unique and wonderful written and so very Hot!
I stopped at chapter 33. I was giving this author a chance to redeem themselves!! This is a no.She tried to use the same formula that was used on the 1st book and it fell flat. This book was just horrible.Heroine fights the hero because she doesn't wanna be married to him doesn't wanna be interested in him but they're both attracted to each other. This book was horrible trash
Han and Jazz went through a hail storm of incidents, all because her father owed the wrong people money on a bet, and Han had this urge to protect her from K Diamond from getting his hands on an innocent woman. He just about did the same thing as Victor did to Dawn., But Han's reasons were more of not knowing how to communicate his feelings with anyone. He had unresolved childhood rejection that caused him not to ever open up to anyone but he did to Jazz. She was the only one he let in. His poor communication skills and his strong desire to protect her under any circumstances, caused her to rebel and not let him get away with his actions even though she had an unexplainable connection with Han, the Chinese mafia Fae King. It was not until Phantom explained to Jazz about Ben's background did everything clicked for her.
I enjoyed reading this story. Jazz did not take anyone's crap, no matter who they were, almost to her detriment. It was funny to see Han's reaction to losing Jazz was so similar to Victor's losing Dawn. These bad a** dragons love hard and complete. It's going to be interesting to see who turns the ogre Phantom's life upside down
Han: Her Ruthless Mistake by Theodora Taylor was captivating from start to finish! Jazz and Han were fascinating and enthralling and had me HOOKED and left me SHOOKETH.
Jazz is so real and down to earth and caring and feisty and fiery and loving and protective.
Han is reserved and the perfect example of still waters run deep and so very controlled and precise and watching the kinks in his armor appear, watching him unravel and become someone new entirely, well, it was magnificent to read!
The CHEMISTRY is palpable, evocative, captivating. The story full of drama, intrigue, mystery, familial obligations, loyalty, betrayal, and love.
I loved the journey this story took me on, and was absolutely spellbound by Han; he can give me an order and make me nod anytime, and I know he'll give you the same feeling! So, what are you waiting for? Time to get absorbed into this wicked and tantalizing world!
P. S. Loved seeing the world expanded, and more of Victor and Phantom!
So I read this somewhere about Mrs. Taylor and I have to completely agree. Mrs. Taylor knows how to weave the hell out of an story. Han's story was no different although I must be honest took me a slight minute for the book to grab me but once it did I was ALL in.
I loved the heroine Jasmine she did not hold anything back when it came to dealing with Han. Speaking of Han character is was not at all what I thought he was. When first introduced to his character I thought just like Victor he was an ass I actually had that thought about Phantom too but more on that in his book review. Han had clear abandonment issue and he definitely tried to take what he saw in Victor & Dawn crazy love story and correct mistakes only leading him to make big ones as it related to Jasmine. Han biggest mistake was comparing Jasmine to Dawn but he learn in the in.
Overall and not surprising this was a very enjoyable read that I recommend to other readers. Looking forward to Phantom's book and uncovering the mystery fiancé who by the way I'm starting to think may not be Dr. Glendaver. Enjoy readers 🙂!
With Han I got my action fix. I love learning what makes these alphas tick. There is always another piece of the puzzle added with each story. It is strange that while I know these guys are mafia, I still root for their happiness and feel as though they deserve it. Another enjoyable read.
I enjoyed this storyline very much. Jazz was fun and flip just what was needed to tame the beast in Han. They made a great couple the way they played off each other. Would recommend.
the way Han is supposed to be 🔪🔫😡 but he's really 🥰😍🐣
(also the way TT has the range to write this and also holiday-themed bear shifter romances... like I think she might actually execute on every single idea that crosses her mind and to that I say 🤌🏻🫡🫶🏻)
Han is definitely an interesting book. The narrators did a good job brining the story to life. I found this was a quick and easy audio. I enjoyed Han’s character.
This was one of my faves as it gave me another chance to love on Hawaii, one of my favorite vacation spots. I loved Jazz. She was so spunky. I didn't know much about surfing going in, but she taught me so much. Han had such a hard and cruel upbringing. I'm so super happy these two collided.
I enjoyed this book in the series. Not quite sure why Mika remained angry at Han especially since she’s in love with Rashid and he wasn’t a bowl of cherries. I get Jazz is her sister but she has to see that their in love and happy.
Enjoyed the twists and turns. I was annoyed with Han a few times throughout. And def rolled my eyes with Jazz desperate to sell her card before she insisted that Han ask her the question again. Cheesy
All in all it was a fun read.
Don’t hate on galaxy Samsung, the superior smart phone. I do see why Jazz would choose one over a five year old Galaxy though
“Thanks,” I said, pressing a hand to my chest. “I appreciate you lying about me walking in here, looking like a curtain.” I cracked up after this statement.
Han is definitely another intense romance book delivered in the Ruthless Triad series. I actually gave it a higher rating simply because I loved the heroine, Jazz. She's Mika's sister from "Rashid" and she's just the cutest character. She's a free spirited surfer girl, bold, and determined. Han is as complicated as Victor, but his ice cold heart melts for Jasmine. It's not a big surprise why. They also have some pretty steamy love scenes between them. This saga is again packed with action. Just when you think all is well, some crazy stuff happens. The book keeps you on your toes. Although I agree, the first portion of the book was a little slow, but it definitely heats up and is a good read.
This was okay. Han was everything Victor should have been so that was better since the Victor books were such a let down. It just went on far too long without a lot happening.
This was basically the Victor do over. I actually imagined Victor and Dawn the whole time and it made for an okay story.
Han is a delicious interracial romance and now I need more asian hero, because Han was so freaking amazing! The steam, the violence, the yearning is all on point and I need to go back to read the rest of these books.
