Offering stories the room they need to evolve is paramount to creating depth and to breathing life into the characters. Vocabulary and grammar are then adapted to the level indicated on the book cover. These levels are based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). Familiar vocabulary is reinforced and new words are gradually introduced in context, without causing the reader frustration.

Sehr gut B2 Buch!

Manchmal traurig, manchmal komisch aber immer interessant and für Deutchlehrerinnen ist es ein gutes Buch. Ich empfehle dieses Buch für eins und alle.

Not only did I enjoy this story, it was a fantastic learning tool. I've already been able to incorporate some of the new vocabulary words and phrases that I learned into my conversations with my German-speaking partner. I've already decided to go back and read some of the earlier books in the series; even if they end up being a bit easy, I expect they will still help to solidify my reading skills. And I want to say again: I really enjoyed the story. It is set around Christmastime, which was perfect.

Ich habe das zusammen mit anderen in einem Buchclub gelesen. Es hat zu lustigen Diskussionen geführt. Das Buch ist wie eine Seifenoper. Ich fand die Figuren und die Handlung zwar etwas unwahrscheinlich und dramatisch, aber das gab auch Geheimnisse und Überraschungen. Ich denke, man sollte es besser nicht ganz ernst nehmen, sondern es eher als Lernhilfe nutzen. Dafür ist es gut geeignet.

An interesting tale

I liked this story a lot. Angelika Bohn has a gift for writing novels with plots that make you want to turn the page and characters that feel realistic and interesting. Definitely a fun read for anyone wanting to extend their reading comprehension in up-to-date German language. I thoroughly recommend it.

Überraschende gut. Die Handlung ist interessant und die Hauptfigur sehr sympathisch. Es hat Spaß gemacht. Das ist nicht einfach als es nur auf einfaches Deutsch geschrieben konnte.
