I'm in love with this interpretation of the story. Seeing the consequences of one character's arc playing out differently, and how other characters change and ripple effect, and while not canon, I like to think these are the same character as the Canon series, and thus you get a different look into the characters convictions and beliefs. Very interesting stuff.
asagiri youre paying for my therapy bills 30$ on my desk due at 5pm fr though there are so many cool shots in this vol and the ending took away the remaining bits of my joy
no one ever say happy birthday to me after this or ill start convulsing and choke out the words “is that a beast reference”
i’ll just list a few points, cause i’m determined to start writing reviews for every book i read but there isn’t much i haven’t said before 1) absolutely love seeing dazai as a villain 2) atsushi’s story breaks my heart every single time 3) the panel when atsushi is wondering what would happen if he and akutagwa switched places and akutagawa saying that he would never join mafia cause they disgust him🥲 4) panels where gin tells akutagawa that he is selfish and driven by greed and revenge like dazai says so she will sacrifice her life for his
You see I just really really love bungo stray dogs beast. Im already a huge enjoyer of the hit series bungo stray dogs, but the beast spin off alternite universe?! Yeah. You could say im a pretty big fan of that one too! I enjoy every page of this silly little series. So fun and also heart string pullling and deep and meaningful and beautiful and amazing. Boy oh boy do I love bungo stray dogs beast
I have been a bit out of my bsd obsession, so i was putting off finishing beast because i have the physical copies and I’m a procrastinator. But GODDAMN this reminded me why i love Asagiri’s stories so much, this this this it feels like it’s made for me, the way he writes dark topics so deeply and beautifully, I think it’s similar to how i write my characters too. He’s a genius in terms of storytelling and Bungou Stray Dogs will forever be my favorite manga and anime
Bought it, read it, teared up, and braced myself for the fourth and final book of this series. I’ve been meaning to get this for over a year so reading it was very explosive. By that, I mean I could not and cannot contain my excitement and shock.
