Blush was a nice and quick read.
I've easily followed the storyline even if this is the third book in this series of connected standalone stories.

Peyton and Jack were high school sweetheart, they had a nasty brokeup when all of a sudden Jack decided to leave everything behind and he went to live far. Now some years later Jack and Peyton are back at the same place, they both work at the Crescent Lake Winery, but they are not the same persons they were. Will they overcome their hurt and their pride in order to give their love another chance?

Peyton and Jack are two darlings, I rooted for them since the start.
I liked how they rekindled their relationship slowly, paying the right attention to the kid easy attachment to the man.

There is a triggering episode where it's told a r*pe, but it's written with the right sensitivity and delicacy.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for kindly giving me an advanced copy of this book to read.

This book took me by surprise. I expected it to be a quick, fun read with the usual dose of what you  expect from a small town second chance romance but what I didn't expect was to end up liking it so much. This can be read as a standalone but it actually is the third book in the Crescent Lake Winery series featuring Jack Price, one of the Price siblings, and Peyton Brien. I will be checking out the previous titles in the series now... looks promising!

I received an e-Arc of the book from the publishers Author Collective 20/MC Two Press and the author Lucinda Race via NetGalley.

This is the third book in the Crescent Lake Winery Series. You can't help but love this book and the whole series, its well written and has a very good storyline. This book can be enjoyed as a standalone but it is tied to the other books, its about a family and their winery so you will definitely see the characters from previous books. The previous books were great so I definitely recommend reading the series in order. The author pulls you into the story and you can't help but feel the emotions of the characters. Jack and Peyton's story is a second chance romance. Jack left town to get away from his dad who was too controlling, never discussing the move with Peyton. They breakup and break each others hearts. Now Jack is home to stay but Peyton isn't sure she wants to risk her or her son Owen's heart by taking a chance with Jack. What if he takes off again? Can he convince her to give him a second chance?

Meet Peyton Brien... and Jack Price

Peyton fell in love with Jack in high school but he broke her heart when he took off to work on the West Coast. What she didn't realize is he wasn't leaving her but he wants to be independent from his father.
And then the unimaginable happened, Peyton was date raped and had a son.
When Jack finally returns home comes to Crescent Lake he realizes he's still in love with Peyton and admires her strength raising her son but he wants a second chance with her.
All's going great until someone from his past comes to town.
Will their second chance at love be like a bad bottle of wine and turn to vinegar?

Friends to lovers to friends…to lovers?

Book 4 in the series and just as great as the previous books. You're entertained, swept up in the story, and can't stop reading. Wonderful characters you enjoy getting to know as you turn each page. A location so beautifully described you wish you were there. A wonderful romance you enjoy reading and getting swept up in.

This is the 3rd book I've read written by Lucinda Race; I can’t wait to read more of her books.

This is the 4th book in the Crescent Lake Winery Series; the series is about Sam & Sherry’s children; this book is about their son Jack who ran off years ago to escape his father’s plans for him. Now he’s back and wants to rekindle his relationship with Peyton.

This is book three in The Crescent Lake Winery Series and it is Peyton and Jack's story and it is a must read. Peyton loves her job working as the manager of the tasting room at Crescent Lake Winery but as a single mother sometimes it's hard to juggle everything and then add Jack into the mix and things become a challenge but with everything that she had been through will she finally get over what happened to her that night years ago. Peyton and Jack have history as they were so in love and planned there life together only for Jack to suddenly leave breaking Peyton's heart. Jack moved away because of the pressure his dad constantly put on him to do a job that Jack didn't want but while he was away Peyton was always on his mind and he never stopped living her but now he is back and determined to get her back so that they can have a second chance of a future together but only time will tell if he is successful or not. Peyton and Jack start spending time together but when the past rears it's ugly head will it break them apart or bring them closer together. I absolutely loved this book so much and I couldn't put it down as it was so addictive and a real page that and my heart went out to what Peyton had gone through and I found myself cheering Jack and Peyton on and I wasn't disappointed with the outcome. Lucinda Race is an amazing author and writer and I absolutely love her books and she certainly knows how to keep her reader's attention and on the edge of their seats. I definitely recommend you read this book and series and you will definitely not be as and I can't wait to read more of her books.

The story
Peyton is a single mom to 7 year old Owen. She lives with her son and parents. When she was a teen, she dated and was in love with Jack Price, who manages the vineyard and grape growing side of the Crescent Lake Winery owned by his family. Peyton runs the tasting room. When Jack finished college he left suddenly to work in California, breaking Peyton’s heart. Ever since, they have kept their distance, but as friends. Jack wants more though, and Owen wants more. Will Peyton be able to forgive what has happened in the past and let them have a chance at being a family?

My thoughts
This is an entertaining read, with a sweet storyline. Peyton has overcome so much to be where she is now. Jack realises that he only wants Peyton and Owen by his side as a family and is pulling out all the stops to convince her to let him back into her life. The writing feels similar to Robyn Carr and Kristin Higgins. An easy and charming read.

Blush is my favorite book in the series so far. I love the characters of Peyton and Jack and their story!

The series is about the Price Family, a multi-generation of winemakers in the Fingerlakes Region of NY. We are getting a second chance at love for Payton and Jack. Twelve years ago, he left for the west coast and broke her heart.

In that time, Jack has lived and learned about what makes him happy. He has now returned to Crescent Lake, and over the last three years, his love for Peyton is still in his heart.

Peyton has not had it easy over the last twelve years; she is a single mom, working in the Tasting Room at Crescent Lake Winery and avoiding Jack. Both are not the same people they were twelve years ago. Are they better? Can they let go of the past and move forward, or will it return to challenge their relationship?

Thank you to Booksprout and the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.

Peyton has known Jack and his family since forever and she and Jack where even an item before he just up and left leaving her devastated but not as devastated as what happened after he left. I absolutely loved Jack and Peyton so when Jack decides he has had enough of dancing around his feelings for Peyton and allowing her to dodge him at work I was stoked and well it's also been getting harder for Peyton to ignore that she is still attracted to him, but she doesn't just have to worry about her heart but her son Owen's heart so I get the hesitation. I just love a second chance and especially one where there is plenty of emotions involved, learning the past doesn't define the future as well as a slightly meddling family and two people who you want to have the HEA they deserve so much!

Peyton had a horrible event in her past. But she loves her son, and is (still) actively working to overcome the trauma. Jack left her years ago, the biggest regret of his live. He's back with the family winery, and wants to make things right Peyton. But a secret from his past shows up at the winery, it very nearly derails their tenuous relationship. Peyton has incredible support from her parents. And her son Owen is such a joy. Loved by everyone who knows him, all he wants is a dad. The book is a great addition to the series, as another of the Price siblings find love. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Peyton, along with her son Owen, works at the winery tasting room. She was once close to Jack, the son of the owner, but he left twelve years ago for the California wine area. Now he is back and some feelings are still there, but are they enough. Between doubts, wishes and the past rearing its ugly head, a relationship may not be possible unless someone keeps pushing until all the truth is told. Loved the characters and the family closeness. The storyline was well written with plenty of ups and downs, twists and surprises. The ending was perfect.

Audiobook review.

This book contains everything you could want in this kind of story: a wonderful romance, lovable characters, a stupid mistake and a swoonworthy proposal. Add to this an adorable 8 year old and the brilliant narration by Lisa Beacom and you have a winner!

Peyton Brien has survived an event that has marked her but has given her a son. She is comfortable in her life, running the tasting room at Crescent Lake Winery. Yet, her contact with Jack Price, is the only part that is a challenge, Her past relationship with him, threatens to hurt her again, yet Jack seems ready to start again. He finds himself regretting walking away from Peyton. Yet before they can start their relationship afresh, it seems that Jack’s past may threaten any chance they have.
This was a rewarding romance with two very likeable characters. Peyton struggles to believe that her relationship with Jack can stand a chance, so I like that Jack was so determined. Jack’s brother and sister-in-law were a great couple to throw into the story, and even though I hadn’t read any previous books, their story did intrigue me. Overall, an enjoyable and believable romance.
I received an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.

I absolutely love second chance romances and we get a beautifully written one with Blush. This book is centered around Peyton and Jack. Even when Jack left Crescent Lake Winery, he never quit loving Peyton. Things changed while he was gone. Peyton is now a single mom to her son, Owen, a result of a date gone wrong. Jack is keeping a secret from his friends and family. I won’t leave any spoilers, but I hope you’ll read this book and find out what happens. I loved catching up with the Price family and their significant others.

Thank you NetGalley, Lucinda Race and Author Collective 20 for the book Blush. This is my personal review.
The Crescent Lake Winery Series is a wonderful series.
Payton Brien and Jack Price have known each other for years. They are totally meant to be together, but life has given them both stumbling blocks to happiness.
The story and characters and location are written so perfectly that I could feel every emotion, see every location, and the feel the love each person in the book had for each other.
This is a once loved then lost and the road back to each other.
I am excited to read the next book in this series and be lost for hours as I spend time with them all.

Sweet story! Audiobook Review 🎧
I enjoyed Peyton and Jack's story. Jack loves to romance Peyton and is very sweet to her son Owen. There were some things in their past that they had to get through before they could have their HEA. I loved that there were a lot of the Price family in the book. This is a very sweet book and I found myself with tears of joy a few times while listening. Lisa's narration was very good.

This is the third book in this series, fourth if you count the prequel, and I just love this series. Each book can be read as a standalone but since the characters are tied to each other, reading by its order just betters the readers experience and the understanding of the hole series dynamics.

You are going to love Peyton and Jack’s second chance romance! That the story takes place at a beautiful winery is all the more wonderful. Jack’s a hero who will melt your heart and Peyton is a heroine who deserves all the love he can give.
