Not a bad book, but it lacked, well, everything, it was just too short for me to feel any connection. But it had a dog, so an extra star for that…

This is a great premise but I needed more. Maybe there is too much here for a short story format and a novella would have been a better choice. As a result I felt like I didn’t get enough to satisfy me. Does the relationship work out in the real world? How does Sam work with Teddy? They don’t live in the same place…what happens with the relationship? What does Sam do for a living now? I feel like a read a chapter out of a larger book instead of a complete story.
