This is the first book I’ve read in the Whisper Cove series, but I’ve be going back and reading the previous books, as time permits. This is a beautiful story centered around Becca and Logan. Becca is living above Harry’s Bar and waitressing and singing occasionally. Logan is the town sheriff. When a double homicide takes place next door to his house, Logan is determined to solve the murders. Becca is saving every cent she can in hopes of reuniting with her daughter, April. April is staying with her mom, but she’s threatening to turn her over to the foster system, if Becca doesn’t come get her. Becca does a show at the bar and Avery gives her her earnings. Becca puts the money in her room along with the money she’d saved for the last months. Of course, someone steals it. What the thief doesn’t know is there’s a note in the stack of cash and it will be their downfall. This book is full of suspense but there’s also the beginnings of love between Logan and Becca. Hunt is the fifth book in the Whisper Cove series. You can read it as a standalone but I think you miss out on getting to know all the residents of Whisper Cove. You get to know Becca and Logan throughout the other books. Logan is throughout all four books because he's the town sheriff and Becca first shows up in book three. Whisper Cove is a small Maine town where everyone knows everyone. This small town has had some troubles in all the other books and this book is no exception. Mystery, suspense, romance, this book has a little bit of everything. Logan and Becca have both been married and widowed. Their troubled marriages have caused trust issues with both of them. I couldn't put it down, intriguing, steamy, and completely entertaining! It was great being back in Whisper Cove and I loved Logan and Becca's story. I can't wait to get my hands on book six which will be Jack's story.

April and Mulligan steal this story.....but there is so much more!

HUNT is the fifth book in the Whisper Cove series and I would suggest that these books be read in order as the story-line and characters cross and add to each successive book. This story is about local Sheriff Logan Fox and single mother / singer Rebecca "Becca" Fisher. Right from the first line this story pulled me in and I just kept reading and reading. BTW - I loved Mulligan as the little mutt was fantastic as was Becca's sweet little angel April. The story-line mixes a murder with romance, laughs with tears, lust with love and much more. The folks of Whisper Cove are still as lovely and quirky as ever which brings even more heart to this book.

3.5 Starts...My favorite part of this book??? The Cocker Spaniel!!!! Of course he grew on Logan because they are just too stinking cute!!! I admired the drive Becca had to get her daughter back and the sacrifices she willingly made to dig her way out. Accepting help may not have been easy for her but her friends (well, most of them) showed they had her back and were her biggest cheerleaders!! Suzie, bless her heart and all the foolery she had a hand in to make this story what it was. Bit of overkill with the colorful language but the suspense was ok and kept me guessing...for a minute. Logan proved to be a softy when it came down to it and not just with Mulligan!!

Hunt was worth the wait. From the first page you read Allison had you laughing then flipped the whole mood with a double homicide because why not?
I loved the story about Becca and Logan and lets not forget Mulligan the now homeless food thief and April one very happy six year old that only want to live with her mother and not her grandmother.
You fell in love with the folks in Whisper Cove and you will get to catch up with you friends and meet new ones.
I can not wait for the next book to came out. Jack we are rooting for you.

A fantastic suspense romance that has you hooked right from the beginning. The characters of Rebecca and Logan are strong and determined. Their friends and family are very supportive, even when they are under suspicion. The storyline has plenty of suspects and timeline issues until you get to the person who actually killed people, ending in a standoff. Romance and feelings between Becca and Logan was stalled several times, but it was still stronger in the end. Loved the way Logan stopped her mom from talking down to Becca. Well done book. Can not wait to read more of this group.

I have loved all four of the previous stories in the "Whisper Cove" series so I was so excited to see a new one. It is a stand alone read with some connected characters. The story is a good mix of mystery, suspense and romance. I really like the characters! This is Becca and Logan's story. He is the town sheriff and she is a single mother. Both have been married and lost their spouse and due to their past relationship they both have trust issues. I really like how their story develops. Wonderful read!!

I've read a lot of books written by Allison LaFleur; she is one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to read more of her books.

This is the fifth book in the Whisper Cove Series; it is a stand-alone book. She has written a great book. Becca is saving money to be able to get her daughter April, who is living with her grandmother, now the money has been stolen from her room. Logan is the sheriff of the town. I loved the chemistry between them.

We have been given a wonderful story that pulls us into the lives of Logan and Becca and does not let go. As sheriff, Logan is determined to find out who murdered his neighbors while Becca is just trying to get her life together. The story keeps you turning the pages with suspense, danger, action and love.

This was the first book that I have read from this author and was not sure what to expect. So, I was going in open minded. In the first couple of pages, I was not so sure that this was going to be my kind of book, but I am really glad that I kept going. I really enjoyed reading this book.
