I liked the basic premise of the story, however, I was left with too many questions at the end. One of the subjects that I had questions was actually brought up at the very end of the book, which I find a very questionable. Some of the other actions by the antagonist just were not at all answered after being presented. In all, leaving a book with many unanswered questions is not a book that I am fond of. The man of the family that drowned, how did the antagonist find out about him and where he was? Why was he killed? We found out that he was dead, but never heard any thoughts from the killer? Was it her that killed him. If the ship just sunk and all of the people were killed, how did the antagonist end up with the mother/wife's necklace. The sister that was killed, why did she just not take her weight belt off? At the end we are left with the feeling that the antagonists' parents knew all about her actions, turned out that they were going to try to run a scam on the remaining victim, we DO get the feeling that she probably figured out what was going on with the parents and their future scam, BUT since she had some kind of not too bright moments, how did she handle it IF she did handle the situation, if indeed she handled the situation, or did she become a victim all over again? The reader was only involved in the last action in the book, not all of the actions in the book that led up to the action at the end. I also found that the lack of conversation between two 'sisters' was just insane, (the heroine?) just swallowing everything that her 'twin' did without questioning or discussing any of it, comes off as not the way a 40 something year old would deal with the situation. I was generous with 3 stars!
