Summer Breezes

Rate this book
This summer, relax with two breezy tales of how opposites attract. Because sometimes very different people can make a perfect match.

The Way to a Man's Heart

On the surface, Meghan O'Day and Grey Carlyle seem like they couldn't be more different. But stuffy literature professor Grey keeps coming back to the diner where bubbly Meghan works—and it's not just for the coffee and pie. They both love chatting about books, and Meghan has opinions on the classics she's not afraid to share. She also thinks she could teach the professor a thing or two about happily-ever-after.

Fallen Angel

Amy Johnson is firmly anchored in Seattle, working as an executive for her father's oil company. It's always been assumed she'll eventually take over, even if her heart isn't in it. When Amy meets Josh Powell, a self-described drifter who's rejected his money and power, she begins to question what she really wants. Maybe it's time to craft a new future, together.

This book is actually two different stories. The first is "The Way to a Man's Heart". Meghan, a waitress meets a stuffy professor, Grey. They seem to have nothing in common, but yes they do have something in common....

"Fallen Angel" is a story about Amy, living in Seattle; who meets Josh by chance. They meet for a quick chat over the next 3 days and then he leaves for the Mid-East with his work. She feels like she will never see him again, but really, really would like to. He had stated that he will never return to Seattle. Is there a future for them?............

I actually really liked the first story in here, even if it was a bit dated. The second story just wasn't it for me. All the back and forth got annoying and made it a chore to get through. Not my favorite from this author, but considering how long ago she wrote these it doesn't surprise me.

Both stories are excellent containing judgment and interpretation of things that happen and how each works. Fallen Angel is a can't put it down story!

The 2nd part was better than the 1st but I wouldn't recommend either. The main characters are 2 childish & not worth the read.

The characters in these stories act pretty immature and there isn't a ton of character development but they're short summer stories so they get an extra star for mindless reading

2 mini stories in 1 book. I enjoyed the read, but the second story had a predictable ending based on similarities with the 1st story.

My only wish is that there were a few more chapters dedicated to the after.

Cute, quick summer read! The first story seemed to end a bit suddenly/felt like the ending was rushed, but they were both enjoyable nonetheless!
