This was fun and "lite". The art is cute and it was pretty creative overall. I liked the "twist" ending. There were a lot of "clues" but many of them really didn't help "solve the mystery". I really like the ghosts idea, but the mazes seemed like a waste of space. The short story at the end was decent, but I thought it would end up having a lot deeper meaning.

I've always wanted to write a choose your own adventure and this is my first graphic novel choose your own adventure, so it was kind of research AND entertainment.

Thane Benson is wonderfully inventive and clever. This book made me laugh out loud more than once and I cared about what happened to our intrepid protagonists. It is a choose your own adventure and has enough variation that I had to map some of my choices to continue on!
I have also read his Pyramid book. I can’t wait for another Clockwork Knight adventure.
