Ashley has it all. But all she really wants is to be valued as a strong, powerful business woman. The problem is, her board of directors is full of crotchety old men that hate the idea of a single woman being their CEO. With the suggestion- forceful assistance -of her mother, she gets in touch with Gerri Wilder who’s supposed to fix her personal life. Good luck with that one.
Flare and Blaze run a competitive pharmaceutical company. But they need to find their mate in order to cement their leadership roles. When they meet firecracker Ashley, they know she’s the woman for them. She’s feisty, sweet and can handle two strong males all by herself. Not to mention her curvy body and beautiful smile are making it hard for them to concentrate on their job.
It’s not long until Ashley realizes Flare and Blaze are a bigger problem than her board of directors. They’re her direct competitors. If that’s not enough, someone’s out to get them and her out of the way. It’s a fight for love and survival. Will she find a way to balance romance and a career or will her life go up in smoke?
Milly Taiden (also writes as April Angel) was born in the prettiest part of the Caribbean (to her) known as the Dominican Republic. Currently, she resides in New York City with her husband, bossy young son and their little dog Speedy.
When she’s not working full-time, texting with her best friend Heidi in England, chastising her son for pulling the dog’s ears, shopping with her sister Jewel or watching scary movies with her husband, she can be found writing on her laptop.
She’s addicted to shoes, chocolate, Dunkin Donuts coffee and JIMMY THOMAS covers!!!
Ashley is a businesswoman but wants to be valued as the strong and powerful businesswoman that she is. However, the company's board of directors are all old men who hate the idea of a single woman being that way. So her mother insists that she talk to Gerri Wilder for assistance as if she fixes her private life that will fix her professional life too. Dragons Flare and Blaze run a competitive pharmaceutical company but they need their mate to cement their leadership roles. When they meet Ashley they know she is the woman for them as she is feisty, sweet and can handle two strong men by herself. When you take in her beautiful and curvy body it makes it just hard to concentrate on their jobs. Then Ashley realises that Flare and Blaze are a bigger problem than the board of directors as they are her direct competition - add to that the fact that someone is out to get them and her out of the way and it becomes a fight to both love and survival - can she find a way to balance romance and career or will everything go up in smoke?
I enjoyed this story which was a nice twist of a PDA story with the common enemy who would enjoy nothing more than taking them all out of the running. It was interesting to read about her misgivings as well as her determination to protect both her men from attempts to kill them. I enjoyed the incidents at the motor racing as well as the ones out at sea. It was great to see how even if they didn't know about their draw to each other they had already a strongly developed sense to protect the other party. Easy to read and understand. Contains explicit sexual content.
This one annoyed me. The main guys, Blaze and Flare are long lived dragons. And the name dropping was ridiculous. We were at this famous event, we mentored this famous person, arggg, ridiculous.
30 books in omg I'm in awe of Ms. Taiden I cannot believe even after 29 books she still managed to give us a Gerri Wilder story that's just as unique as the others. Ashley, Blaze, and Flare were just as good as every one of her throuples and I loved reading every word. After all this time I cannot believe a Gerri Wilder book can surprise me but once again I was unable to put the book down. I cannot wait to see what happens next.
A Surprisingly Disappointing, Emotionally Absent Addition to the PDA Lexicon...
Six months ago if you had asked me about anything written by Milly Taiden I would have said to you that she never really disappoints. I would have excitedly claimed her to be the queen of all things paranormally heart melting and panty drenching. I would have further stated that almost everything she writes is wild, alpha rich, uniquely sexy, and full of beautifully plotted story landscapes, especially her Paranormal Dating Agency (PDA) book series! However, out of the last five books of hers I have read since January, four have fallen far short of her normally mesmerizingly quirky, action packed adventures I have come to love and expect from her, and all have been uncharacteristically marred by typos. Sadly her latest addition to the PDA universe, “Claim to Flame” is no exception to this new and disappointing rule.
This latest PDA story, book thirty in the ever growing series, is the tale of Ashley, Blaze, and Flare. All three high powered, mega-rich business people in their own right, Ashley being the twenty-something COO of her family’s pharmaceutical conglomerate. A woman dreaming of taking over the CEO helm when her father retires, but being thwarted at every turn by the old fashioned attitudes of the existing board of directors. And Flare and Blaze, an ancient dragon shifter dyad and billionaire business team, a shifter pair with their hands in many, many different realms of human commerce. Dragons now seeking their fated mate via the assistance of the ever present Gerri Wilder, who unbeknownst to them has also been contacted by Ashley’s mother, who is hoping to get her ambitious daughter to settle down and appear more settled in her private life in order to sway the board to promote her into the coveted CEO position that she knows Ashley truly desires.
What follows should have been a sexy, reverse harem tale filled to bursting with fast paced, action packed corporate hijinks, and fated mate angst. An explosion of back-and-forth between the beyond alpha dragon shifters and their human mate where we get to immerse ourselves in the deliciousness that is the unbridled journey toward paranormal happily ever after. And to a very limited extent you are shown a glimpse of it. However, beyond that glimmer of yumminess what we actually get instead is incomplete and devoid of the raw energy contained in the other installments. Rather than the rich, banter filled dialog between the shifter and human side I have come to love, here we are instead given a lack luster portrayal from only Ashley’s point of view. This lopsided telling creates an unbalanced chemistry that tilts the entire story into almost boring territory and leaves you feeling lost and a little bitter at the absolute lack of possessive, obsessive, alpha packed connection you crave from a Taiden PDA romance.
For me personally, one of the best parts of the PDA stories is the back and forth urgency the dual point of view provides within the larger lexicon of what fated mates are within this story world. It is through this dual lens of both the shifter(s) and the human mate that you get the full emotional experience of the mate bond and the uncontrolled passion attached to it. Yet here Taiden gives us none of that delicious fiery torment. In fact she eliminates Blaze and Flare’s side almost entirely, relegating them to a background role, one where they are referenced more then actually included in the telling of the larger story.
Everything within this installment beyond the prologue is told strictly from Ashley’s point of view. As such you lose a huge, huge chunk of the overall chemistry and connection between them all, and you never get an understanding of who Blaze and Flare are beyond the tiny, heavily stereotyped character archetypes dribbled here and there during the date scenes. It was a huge disappointment!
I normally adore the Paranormal Dating Agency books. I crave them. However, this one was a big, big miss for me.
Claim to Flame is the 30th book in the PDA series. In this book we follow along as human Ashley & dragon shifters Flare & Blaze find their way to happily ever after.
Ashley is the COO of her family's pharmaceutical company & hoping to someday succeed her father as CEO. Trouble is, the board of directors are a touch old fashioned & don't think a woman can handle that job. Ashley's mother thinks if she'd settle down, the board might see her in a different light. Plus she might get some grandchildren out of the deal so she sees this as a win-win. Even though Ashley's not convinced that she's ready to settle down, she agrees to let Gerri Wilder, matchmaker extraordinaire, to try to find her a compatible partner. She certainly wasn't expecting two of them.
Flare & Blaze have lived for hundreds of years & haven't found their fated mate yet. So they put their trust in Gerri to find their mate & boy does she deliver. Ashley is all they could have dreamed of & more. Problem is, they are her competition, though they don't know that. They know they're going to have to convince her that she's their one. And now it seems that someone is out to get them. Will they be able to protect their mate & not scare her off?
This one was a little tough for me to rate. There were one or two things that seemed a little wonky to me, but over all it was pretty good. The characters were strong & likeable. The story line was a good one with a good amount of drama, but not too much & a villain that I could just see twisting his mustache ala Snidely Whiplash. I'm caught between 3.5 & 4 stars so will give it a 4.

I'm not big on reading about dragons but Milly Taiden may have just changed my mind. Flare and Blaze were so swoon worthy and made my heart race with every word I read. Ashley was an independent hard working woman who is also sexy and sensual. When the three of them get together there is dragon fire on the pages! I highly recommend Claim to Fame. It's one of my favorite PDA books!

I started reading this series years ago, and I love Gerri’s character so much! If I was not a happily married lady, I’d want to have a Gerri Wilder in real life. She runs a kick butt matchmaking service, which matches different shifters (a lot of the time from a different world) to curvy women that have had bad luck in the man department. Her knack for finding the perfect mate for these shifters is amazing, and her ways keep me laughing in these books. This book she is finding Flare and Blaze a mate, someone they can share (mfm)...they ask for her to be intelligent, demanding tastes, and hot with lots of curves. Gerry thinks she has their woman, but like usual, she needs to test her first. Ashley Gleeson is a COO of a pharmaceutical company, and in need of a husband to be taken seriously as CEO candidate. Gerri works her magic again bringing another curvy girl to perfect mates, there are some twists and turns along the way but they do get their HEA. These series are easy to read books that help me get through a book slump.
Another enjoyable entertaining read and a great addition to the PDA series. If your looking for a sexy, reverse harem tale filled with fast paced action, corporate hijinks, and fate mate angst. If the answer is yes then this is the book for you. I promise you won't regret one click on this series. Overall a great read. I received a free copy via Booksprout. As always my reviews are totally voluntarily no monetary compensation was received and the opinion I have expressed are my own.
Loved it! I love to read books from Milly Taiden. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Claim to Flame is the 30th book in the Paranormal Dating Agency series. This is Ashley, Flame, and Blaze's story. Oh my the chemistry between them was off the chart!! Both Flame and Blaze are dragon shifters. Ashley has worked hard to become the CFO of her family's large pharmaceutical company. Her mother asked Gerri to set her up. Once they met her for the first time. They knew that she was their mate. Now they just need her to see that they are so right for each other. The Paranormal Dating Agency is hot and sensual with plenty of action that will keep you coming back for more!! Don't miss out on a single second of these amazing stories. Keep up the amazing work! Can't wait to read more from this series.
This was a very exciting and Intense story. Everything seem to blend so perfect together. The way Ashley, Flame, and Blaze meshed together was great. You could feel the different personalities of both men and it worked wonderful.
I loved how every challenged they faced seemed to blend together and nothing stood out from the other it was a perfect combination.
I loved every turn of the page, but then I can't help but love everyone of Gerri's stories.
Unbelievable that have reached no 30 in the series and Gerri Wilder is still a great recommended read. Ashley is seeking the role of CEO in her familys company, to help her gain favour with the Board she is introduced to Gerri who sets her up on a blind date. However her date is with two very attractive Dragons who will go all out to ensure she knows no one else will ever take their place. A little fun and a lotta drama along the way absolutely enjoyed this read.
A captivating read that you will be totally blown away by Claim to Flame has got to be one of my favourite books in this totally wonderful series which I loved every single moment of and as I have come to know from this wonderful author it was filled with sexy passion, love, adventure and plenty of menage interaction that was beautifully written. Ashley has been trying to survive in a male dominated world and has had to work twice as hard as any of them and she meets Gerri Wilder who has two dragon shifters in mind, this is a story filled with hot fun and frolics and once you begin you will not be able to put down until you reach the final page in the book. I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.
The story of 3 ambitious business professionals. Ashley (human), Blaze and Flare (dragon shifters). The infamous Gerri Wilder is on the case to setup a mate matching. Ashley has worked hard to get in her position. Ashley wants to go further but lack of a spouse is holding her back. Which doesn't make sense to me because. How does having a family make someone appear acceptable for a leadership role? Wouldn't your time and interest be split between family and work? I digress. Ashley's mother contacts Gerri to help Ashley find Mr right. Gerri finds that plus more. Now Ashley must decide if she wants double the pleasure and double the fun.
I received an advanced reader copy of this book and am leaving a voluntary review.
This is a dragon shifter tale of 2 dragons looking for their mate to share.
Ashley has worked hard to become the CFO of her family's large pharmaceutical company. She climbed the ladder herself. In pursuit of becoming the CEO, she's told that she needs to get married to be taken seriously. So she agrees to meet her mom's friend, Gerri Wilder.
Gerri has Flare and Blaze, two dragons looking for their mate. She knows that Ashley is the one for them, but the guys need to convince her more than anyone.
When both Ashley's company and the guys' company bid on the same contract, who can she trust?
This was another really enjoyable book by Milly Taiden. I love ménage stories and this was no exception. I love stories in the Paranormal Dating Agency series and this was a fantastic addition.
Ashley, Blaze and Flare are so much fun together; lots of hot sexy scenes, great relationship development, fun dialogue, and enough action and drama to keep the pages turning.
A very enjoyable read.

I love when I get a book and sit down with it to begin reading and three hours later I'm at the end, lately, it's been a rare occurrence. But Milly though did her thing and Not only did I start and finish in one sitting I can give it an easy 5-star rating. Paranormal, menage, and shifters all mixed in one book, oh did I mention dragons?

She'd fought hard for her professional position. As a woman, she had to work twice as hard and she did. Her personal life had never been nearly so successful. However, part of reaching the next rung required she appear settled, and that required marriage. Her mom persuaded her to let Gerri Wilder and her agency find a suitable man. In this case, men. When they met, Ash didn't know about the suitable part but the hot part--oh yeah!
They too were businessmen and they came as a pair. She'd never considered two men before but she promised to give them a chance. It was fun seeing them alone and together. Chemistry was there in spades, she didn't want to be rushed.
There is an evil player interfering, is it for their relationship or business?
There is action in this romance, plenty of steam, a few good characters, mostly love and coming to terms with her strengths personal as well as professional. Another winner from the author's Paranormal Dating Agency--number 30 and still going strong.
This newest installment in the PDA series is HOT. Ash has worked her butt off and knows that she is so close to her dream of being a CEO. Last thing she wants is a man but the board won't give her the job without a husband....in comes Gerri. Not only does she get one man but two who shower her with adoration and steamy kisses.
There is an unknown party at play and all of their lives are in jeopardy. Ash loves her men but will she trust them?
This is a must read. I adore the three of them together and how strong Ash is as a woman.
Ash didn't want a man- not really. She was tired of the dating scene and could never find an interesting man to return her affections. Plus, her job and her drive were more than enough for her. However, her mother and Geri Wilder want to set her up with not only 1 but a pair of dragon shifters. What? 2 incredibly sexy men who want to share? But what of her career? And who might be trying to sabotage her company's plans? Another fabulous book in the Paranormal Dating Agency series by Milly Taiden!
Another great story in the PDA series! Milly gives us a great story with a strong independent woman who is a workaholic and a couple powerful dragons! Flare and Blaze are so different from each other but seem to have a unique relationship and are both so sweet! These characters are perfect together! Very well written story with action, danger, and lots of steam! Always a pleasure to see what Gerri Wilder is getting up to! Highly recommend!

Ash wants the CEO position once her dad steps down. Her mom tells her she needs to be married for the board of directors to get on her side. So she agrees to see Gerri. Never did she think about being with two men. She could not figure out how that would work between them. Would they be jealous and ruin a live long friendship. Well this one has drama, suspense and action and of course a happy ending how could it not with Gerri involved.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Ash, Clare and Blaze' s story was so romantic and totally hot. Whew...the chemistry between them was off the chart. The danger and excitement was unexpected... especially the assassin spider shifter ( a first) totally scary. Then the arch friend is defeated in a heated battle but suddenly pops up to continue his rampage . That was a total surprise. Loved this story. It had everything. Cannot recommend it highly enough. 6 star!! -
Claim to Flame is an exciting and sexy menage that will leave you smiling and exhausted. Ashley is a woman striving to make it in a mans world. She has to work twice as hard to be thought of as just as good. Grrr. The board is a bit old fashioned and won’t even consider her for CEO unless she’s married and settled down. Enter Gerri Wilder with two hot dragon shifters. Let the fun begin. Like the others in this series this book can be read standalone. This world encourages you to extend belief into the happily ever after. Grab a cool beverage and enjoy.
Miranda is ready for her daughter, Ashley to get married and give her some grandchildren. She contacts Gerri and then Flare and Blaze arrive for dates and drinks. But Ashley wants her Dad's CEO position when he retires in a few months. She has worked long and hard for this position and figures that she cannot have it all. Read and find out if she chooses her work or her men.
What happens when a local COO wants to be President of her family business? She must be married and has no prospects. In comes my most favorite person in the Paranormal world, Gerri Wilder! Gerri never seems to fail me in how she deals individually with each client. This was no difference in this book. I loved how she grilled and tested Ashley.
When Ashley meets the future Loves of her Life; all bets are off. This is one of the best action books with so much romance that I had to blush,. I'm not going to tell the book but what I will say is that no Gerri Wilder story is the same. However, there is always action, suspense and for sure HOT steamy Sex!!!! I simply loved this book and read it 3 times before I made the review. I wanted to be fair and read it through a few times as it was that good!!!!
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Flare and Blaze are running their own company but know that they need to find their mate . Thanks to a mother whom knows exactly what needs to be done to keep her daughter happy all I can say is look out world ! Gerri to the rescue ! This book will burn up your e-reader ! So be ready to have your emotions pulled danger to stalk ! Who will win ? And who is pulling out all stops ? Be ready to just hold on and fall in love with this one ! Well written and recommended to all !!!
I was given this ARC and loved it so much I wanted to leave a review !!
This is an OK shifter romance, but I did have a few issues with it. It features the typical shifter instalove, but I would have liked a little more backstory on the three main characters. I do always like Gerri Wilder and her matchmaking methods, though.
Ashley, Flare, and Blaze were all likable, but I was annoyed with Ashley's attitude that her work was more important than her relationship. She actually admitted to Gerri Wilder that she only agreed to the match because she thought it would help her chances of becoming CEO of her company. That is not the right attitude to have, and it wasn't fair to date Flare/Blaze if she wasn't really open to a real relationship.
I also didn't believe that Ashley was really in love with Flare and Blaze. She was definitely in lust, but she wasn't a shifter, so I didn't believe she would fall in love with them so quickly -- especially since she went into the relationship because she thought it would help her at work.
One complaint is that most of Milly's stories are a bit too explicit for me. I like hot sex in romances, but I would prefer it to be a little less descriptive and dirty. I am not a prude, but the really explicit stuff is just not romantic to me. But I will continue to read Milly's writing, as it is entertaining and fun.
There was one more issue, and it is minor, but it is a pet peeve of mine. The people on the cover should look like the characters are described in the book. In the book, Flare had silvery white hair and Blaze had long red hair. Yet both men on the cover have short brown hair. This may not be the author's fault, but it still bugs me.
My rating system is below. 1 star -- Hated it, or did not finish. I usually only give this rating if some of the content is truly objectionable to me, like if one of the main characters does something really awful, and gets away with it. 2 stars -- Didn't like it. This rating usually means that I thought the writing wasn't very good, the editing was terrible, I didn't like the characters, or it had other major flaws. 3 stars -- I liked it, but had some minor issues with it. This rating means that there were minor editing issues, the story needed more character development, it was just too unrealistic, or had some other fairly minor issue. The majority of books I read get this rating – I do not consider it a bad rating. 4 stars -- I liked it a lot. This is a high rating for me, and I rarely give a higher one. 5 stars -- I loved it, and will probably read it again. Very few books are good enough to get this rating from me. The ones that do are usually classics.
Stronger together Once again, this author has managed to bring us a power couple, thruple, well you know what I mean!, that captures the imagination and our hearts, well she caught mine at least. I love how man or woman it doesn’t matter; we all share the same struggles and the author captured that perfectly in this book. She brought back my favorite match maker and used her powers for good when she not only made the perfect romantic match, but the perfect merger of like individuals. Every time I pick up one of the 30 books in this series, I am a little worried that I might find a repeat or an eerie similarity to one of its predecessors between the pages, but this author is on the ball and that has never happened. Her imagination seems to have no bounds. I enjoyed this story, and I can see myself reading it again to pick up any nuances I might have missed the first time. Well, at least until the next one comes out that is.
Great story. This one gives us another triad, two dragon shifters and a human mate. Though, this one is a bit different.
Flare and Blaze are both dragons from the same clan, but they aren't exactly the same. It seems that Flare is a type of ice dragon and Blaze is a fire dragon. This story has everything you expect from an MT PDA story. It's got intrigue, suspense, danger, action, steam, romance, fate and love. I really enjoyed getting to know Flare, Blaze and Ash. They make a great team.
We also learn of a new type of dragon in this story. Phobos, the 'bad guy', is a volcano dragon. Some parts of his body are soft like magma, and others are hard like rock.
A little joke I made to myself while reading. During the naughty times, Flare starts by getting thing warmed up, then Blaze sets everything on fire, and Ash is what's left at the end. :)
Well done to the author on another great PDA book. Looking forward to reading more.
