Her lashes lower, and it isn’t fear that I see on her face. It’s arousal. While I don’t understand it or this, it speaks to every part of me as a man and a husband. And I am her husband. I have always been her husband. In that moment, I flashback again to a memory of her, of us, in the past, and I bury myself inside her, my cheek to her cheek, pumping into her, kissing her. Losing myself in her. The past fades into the present and we’re there again, living that moment, man and woman, not monster and woman, cheek to cheek, body to body. I savor her touch, her body, her taste, and I don’t want there to be an end because when it does come, there will be questions.
I owe her answers. For now, there is just us, and I’m kissing her and fucking her and she’s just as ravenous as I am. But not as hungry. She doesn’t know the hunger I feel, she doesn’t know how it controls me. I didn't know what to expect from this author in the vampire romance department. I am intrigued.
The formula is familiar, so it works smoothly thanks to powerful themes and an energetic narrative. The short chapters jump from Eli to Ivy, a couple that not even death or time can break apart.
From a brutal separation in the past to present day, they have to face an unknown enemy who craves their doom. I loved the story very easily with its mystery around the vampire society and feuds. Fated lovers who face forces of the universe that tear them apart for unfathomable yet dangerous reasons. So exciting!
When they cross paths in a seemingly casual way, it's intensely sensual and arousing. I want to keep on reading this series of novellas because of the mystery behind their bond, the enigmatic vampires and the beastly villains. Ivy has also potential to tap. What is she hiding in that memory of hers? Intriguing indeed.

This is a quick read to get us into a new series, I didn't check to see if the next book is out yet and it isn't - bugger!
I love a soulmate story and this drew me in, Eli and his 'brothers' came across well and I want to know more about them all. Ivy was strong-minded and confident and had a great imagination which helped her become a writer.
Eli and Ivy have a history, she may not remember it but the fact is she's real and Eli has to make a decision. I was gutted when I got to a cliffy and I'm looking forward to book 2.

My first PNR read by Lisa, this novella is an introduction into the Vampire Wardens Resurrection series..... this is a short but steamy read with plenty going on to keep you entertained, a bit of background about the characters, and a connection that spans time.....
Eli and Ivy were married with their whole lives ahead of them, when they were attacked by vampires, Ivy was brutally killed but Eli was saved and recruited into the Vampire Wardens, an elite force there to protect the humans.
A hundred years later and the pair meet up again in what appears as a chance meeting..... a woman named Ivy, an author who writes about vampires, coincidence? Eli recognises their connection immediately, he knows this is his wife reincarnated, but she is different as well. Ivy feels an immense attraction to Eli, but is unsure why. He is not able to help her with any memories, she must remember their connection herself.
All the while she remains human she is in danger, as it appears her original murderer is after her again!
A good read, I enjoyed their connection and the chemistry between them, with Eli having to control himself and not force Ivy's memories. Told in dual POV's it ends on a little cliffy with a part two of their story to be released, which I am looking forward to.

Eli has lived a long life, and will do anything to protect Ivy. Especially after learning of what his connection is to her. He’s emotionally torn between his past and present when it comes to her. Will he give her the life she needs to protect her from what she doesn’t know? Or will he let her go, and continue the cycle?

Ivy is confused by the feelings she has for a man she just met but between the past she doesn’t remember and the threat in the present they are in for a bumpy ride.
This novella gives us some background on the characters and has us wanting more of them and their story.

A some what dark novel, the characters are likeable as well as engaging. The plot at this stage has just gotten started, and leaves readers on that all familiar dreaded cliff hanger! The author brings us a soul searching read, one to tempt the things we see everyday and write it down on to paper quickly so we never forget its beauty or the darkness in everyday things. Would read more of this series in the future.

I was confused a lot, and I feel like it jumped around a lot. I think there were a lot of mistakes like the point of view on one page it looked like it just changed in the middle. The grammar was also all over the place. I just didn't really like the way this book was written. BUT I do think there was a lot of potential and good ideas in the book. I think it should have been longer. But Eli is an easy character to like, so I like that.

If you love vampires who are sexy and a love story that keeps you intrigued with werewolves and a love beyond time this book is for you. You should check this author out. This is the first novella in the Vampire Wardens Resurrection series. Eli and Ivy’s story started when they were younger and married before the attack. This was a fast paced book and it keeps you hooked from the beginning, because you’re on the edge of tour seat to see what happens next.
Now we have to wait for Claim Me which releases November 23, 2021 and I can’t wait to see what happens next.

This is a fantastic read that hooked me from the beginning and kept me reading till the last page. This book moves along at a great pace making for an easy read. The characters are so real that you feel as though you know them and no matter what you cannot help but fall in love with them. This book is a must read and it needs to be on your TBR list. You will not be sorry that you did.

This fast paced novella is the story of Eli and Ivy, soulmates brutally separated but now with a second chance, but their happiness is not assured and there is a war brewing. Vampire, werewolves, witches and magic this steamy story has it all. It is the beginning of a series and I look forward to book 2.

Although I rate every book against Deborah Harkness Trilogy.
Nothing comes close.
I never realized LRJ wrote paranormal.
In any case this was hurt and sweet.

Bite Me...
Vampire Wardens Resurrection book 1. A seriously great read. Eli and Ivy love each other. Some traumatic stuff happens and all hell breaks loose. But there is a giant twist that you don't see coming. Angsty, dramatic, sweet and passionate. Next book gotta come soon.

I loved reading about Eli and Ivy and how they found each other again after all the years that have gone by Lisa Renee Jones is a wonderful writer this is her first time in writing about Vampires and monsters all I can say is keep them coming as I for one will read them many thanks

Was quite surprised at how quickly I became enamored by this book. Wasn't too sure if I would like LRJ writing vampire books, but this was great! This book sucked me right in and I couldn't wait to finish it, only to have to wait for book 2. I was expecting that, but dang!

OMG! Must read if you love Vampirs
I just love this!! This is a different vampire type story. I love the characters, eventhough the story is focused on the two main characters, & how the story is set up. Can't wait to read the next book.

I enjoyed the premise and the writing style. Didn't realize it was a novella until I got to "The End" on page 78 of the ebook. I think it shows promise as a series but it is more of a short prequel or extended sneak peek than an actual book.

Easy flowing and with heaps of intrigue..
Eli once lost the love of his life Ivy but in a wierd twist of fate Ivy is before him but she can be snatched away just as quickly if Eli doesn't act fast and find out what is going on.

Very Interesting.
This story was very exciting. The story of Eli (The Vampire Warden) and Ivy. The past is now coming back to Haunt them both.
