About the author

Jan Amos Komenský (also Johann Amos Comenius, John Amos Comenius, Iohannes Amos Comenius) was a Czech teacher, educator and writer. He served as the last bishop of Unity of the Brethren and became a religious refugee and one of the earliest champions of universal education, a concept eventually set forth in his book Didactica Magna. He is considered the father of modern education. He lived and worked in many different countries in Europe, including Sweden, the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, Transylvania, the Holy Roman Empire, England, the Netherlands and Royal Hungary.

Samozřejmě to není knížka, kterou bych si sama od sebe přečetla, ale nebylo to tak hrozný. Komenský měl hodně nadčasových a pokrokových myšlenek. Přijde mi, že chtěl toho po těch dětech hodně a dneska si neumím představit, že by dítě v 6 letech umělo to, co on chtěl aby umělo :)Líbilo se mi, že klade důraz na pohyb a některé jiné věci, které by mě ani třeba nenapadly . Samozřejmě tam neustále říká, že děti musí být vedené k víře v Boha, což je pro nás zastaralé. Ten jazyk byl trochu těžší, ale dá se to zvládnout.
