I feel like with small condensed self-help books like these I can’t give them more than 3 stars as they tend to just be lists of things that will improve your life.
I found some sections really helpful such as ‘notice your reaction’ and some of the quotes were quite insightful and I’m tempted to be that basic b*tch who puts them up on her wall like “life is 10% what happens to you, and 90% how you react to it”.
This doesn’t tell you how to implement these changes- it gives you a guideline of where to start. There’s a page titled “worry less” which is good to get your brain sparking but it isn’t doing to actually fix anything.
So if you’re looking for a list of small steps you can start implementing and do further research on then this is a great starting point, but if you want sound advice you can act on straight away then this probably isn’t the book for you.
⭐️⭐️⭐️: this is the highest I can personally give a short self-help book so this indicates I did find it a worthwhile read and had its benefits for my mental health recovery journey.
