I thought I made a deal with the devil. Turns out he’s a fallen angel. Very fallen.
Not only is Dominick Vicario tall, dark, and wickedly attractive, he’s also the head of the world’s most powerful underworld family. And the leader of the Fallen—former heavenly Watchers banished to earth who’ve become wealthy playboys.
When I meet him, my life is circling the drain. My job is going nowhere, my boyfriend is a jerk, and I’m in debt up to my eyeballs.
So, when the dangerously seductive mafia don offers me a deal that will solve all my problems, I take it. All I have to do is spend the rest of the summer with the mysterious billionaire. A couple of months jet-setting on private planes and yachts isn’t too high a price to pay, right?
But Dominick believes I’m destined to be his mate—and the key to all the fallen angels being restored to their rightful place in the celestial order.
And it doesn’t matter if I think he’s crazy. He’s convinced I’m his for eternity. And so are the demons chasing us.
Can I escape from his immortal curse? Or will his dark past come back to haunt us both?
Mark of the Fallen is a devilishly steamy, fated mates paranormal romance with a mafia twist. This is book 1 in the Dark Fallen Angels trilogy, it’s a full-length novel, and it ends on a cliffhanger.
Eve Archer writes sinfully hot paranormal romance with devilishly wicked heroes. Who doesn’t love a smoking hot bad boy (or very naughty demon) who meets his match when it comes to true love?
Eve adores traveling and puts as many of the exotic places she’s visited into her books as possible (which gives her another excuse to plan more trips)! She’s sailed the Adriatic, hunted for secret waterfalls in Bali, and floated in the Dead Sea. When Eve isn’t bopping around the world researching books or writing them, she can be found wrangling her two teenagers, two moody cats, and one very energetic dog. Luckily, her wonderful husband does not need wrangling.
I love it when I get to be with a debut author from the very beginning of the series! The characters she develops are spot on and the storyline is intriguing and suspenseful. I’m digging the new twist on mafia/angels. Ella make a decision that will change your life forever because she is tired of being looked over in life and business. She meets Dominick and he will change her world. I can’t wait for the next installment of this new and highly addicting series!

Ella's is getting ready to turn 30 and her life is nothing like she planned. After a company trip to Istanbul her life changes drastically. There is where she meets Dominick who proposes an offer she cannot refuse. Accepting Dominick's offer starts her on a journey full of desire, luxury and danger.
Dominick is the leader of his fellow fallen angels. They have fought against the evils of humanity for many years. He knows Ella is different from the moment he sees her. He extends to her an offer he knows she cannot refuse. Dominick does not believe in coincidences and needs to know why she crossed his path. Even so he cannot deny his attraction for Ella. He will need to tell her the truth and keep her safe.
Let me start by saying I really enjoyed reading this book. Once I started reading i really did not want to put it down. It was captivating from the beginning. There are several twist and turns within the book. I liked that while Ella didn't always show confidence, she was not a complete pushover. It seemed that the strength and confidence Dominick exuded made her more outspoken. There are so many things I want to know. This is a 4.7 star for me. The book.was awesome and while I know it ends on a cliffhanger I feel there could have been more in this book. It is my first book by the author, but definitely not my last. I can't wait to read about the other fallen and see what happens with Dominick and Ella
🔥 “I would fall a million times if it brought me to this point right here and right now with you.” ~~~ Ella is a genuinely good person but she’s so undervalued in her work and personal life. I really liked her determination and strength to leave everything behind. And I loved her feistiness and admired her bravery to take Dom’s deal. She just needed a fallen angel to appreciate the wonderful person she truly is. I loved her!
Dominick is dangerous, dark, deadly, dominant and devilishly delicious. As the head of the Fallen and a mafia boss, he’s feared and respected. But he’s also caring, charming, considerate and protective. I loved everything he did for Ella and I absolutely adored him! I guess I’m into fallen angels now...
The development of their relationship was magnificent! One deal started it all. But their attraction was undeniable and their chemistry - scorching hot. I loved the banter and the passion they shared. They were just so good together.
Also, the whole mafia twist added wonderfully to the overall plot.
In addition, I loved all the scenery described in the story. It was so vivid, detailed and breathtaking I wish I was there with the characters to experience all that beauty and history. And I definitely wouldn’t mind visiting one of the Epicurus clubs.
Overall, the story is a fantastic read! It’s filled with fast-paced action, danger, betrayal, drama, twists, turns, prophecies, steamy romance and magnificent characters.
I couldn’t put it down and loved every page of it.
And with that cliffhanger in the end, I’m so ready for the next books! ~ I received an advance copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
A new series entitled Dark Fallen Angels by Eve Archer begins with Mark of the Fallen: A Devilish Fated Mates Paranormal Romance. The story is the first of a well-planned trilogy about Ella Hart and Dominick Vicario, two unlikely characters who are fated to meet. He is an immortal fallen angel, a mafia don, and she is an angelically marked human. After a promotion for Ella is given to someone that she trained, she quits her male-dominated job and her unsupportive boyfriend. With the help/encouragement of Dominick, Ella becomes involved in his life supposedly just for the summer; it’s the pleasurable life of a billionaire. He recognizes that she is “marked” in some way and maybe his redemption to be forgiven by the archangels or maybe that is just a myth. He must also protect her from the demons who are trying to get to him, one in particular who wants him for herself. They are constantly on the move as they travel the world over to stay away from the evil ones, and Ella learns more and more about Dominick’s powers as a Fallen. She has no clue of her true beauty and importance to Dominick because her self-worth has been eroded by her previous boyfriend. Dominick does all the right things for her because of his strong attraction to her, and as Ella slowly falls in love with him, her confidence grows because of the way he treats her. There is much descriptive detail about the places they visit, and as the book ends on a cliffhanger, readers must wait for the next two installments to find out what happens to these characters.
First off I just have to say that The Fallen Trio is going to be an awesome read if book 1, Mark of the Fallen, is anything to go by. The author has given us a very well written, exciting mafia/paranormal fated mates romance, with characters that will steal your heart in one way or another - some you’ll love and others you’ll want to hate and rightfully so.
Ella Hart is about to turn thirty and her life is a disaster. She just got overlooked for a job promotion and her boyfriend of 3 years turns out to be a dirty bag. It’s at her lowest point she meets the gorgeous and sexy Dominick Vicario. What she doesn’t know is he is an immortal fallen angel as well as the head of the Fallen Family. He ends up making her a deal she can’t refuse if she’s willing to spend the rest of the summer with him (no strings attached). Little does she know, he’s not only attracted to her but that she has the mark of an angel that pulls her to him.
Their attraction is sizzling hot and things are looking up for Ella. That is until the underground world figures out who she is and what she means to Dominick. Can Dom and his Fallen brothers keep her safe? What happens when Ella finds out Dom isn’t an ordinary man? This is a fast paced thrilling storyline that sucked me in and I just loved it. If I have any complaints it’s that it ends in a cliff-hanger, which the author does state in the synopsis. Luckily part two is on it’s way so the wait won’t be too long.
The moment I started this book I was totally intrigued and captivated. The plot and storyline was unique and original for me so I was sucked in right away. And the minute Dominick was introduced well that just sealed the deal. Dom oozes sex appeal. Confidence and arrogance is like part of his DNA. Sexiness and dominance vibrants from him. Ella has had a very bad night, which leads her to walking around Istanbul one night. Deciding to check off her buckle list item before flying out of the country the next night. She goes to the roof top of The Four Seasons Hotel to view the magnificent view of Istanbul. Which happens to be one of Dominicks many holdings. When they lay eyes on each other, there is an immediate attraction. But there is so much more to their attraction than meets the eye. Both their worlds are about to forever change. I adorned the dynamics between Dom and Ella. Their conversations and innuendos are hot. The slow buildup before their physical encounters are steamy. And when they finally do the deed it’s sizzling and scorching! I loved the writing style of Ms. Archer. The vivid descriptions and details were amazing. The words used brought to life the vibrancy and the exquisiteness of the different countries, the surroundings and I swear I could even smell the fragrances that were being described. I’m very excited about this series and I’m absolutely looking forward to more. Especially after that stunning cliffhanger of an ending!
Domenick & Ella: Fireworks from the Very Beginning! - 5 Stars
Domenick is a fallen angel. One of the many cursed angels destined to walk the Earth for an eternity before total damnation. He along with the others he decides to indulge in all of the deviously delicious indiscretions life on Earth has to offer. As the head of a crime syndicate and the owner of several properties; including underground sex clubs, Domenick is content with his life and surroundings. Until he meets a woman named Ella, who is touched by the markings of an angel of purity. Intrigued, he wonders if she is sent as a ploy by the Archangels and becomes smitten with her. Turns out, Ella may be the key to a prophecy to ensure that Domenick and the other Fallen are not damned but can receive salvation and return to heaven.
This is Book One of this series and it held my attention. Domenick is super sexy and delivers some of the best lines of the book. I loved his relationship with his best friend Rami, and hope that we see more of him in Book Two. Thae author does a fantastic job of bringing the exotic locales of Istanbul, Italy, and Croatia to life without being overly-descriptive to the point of being annoying. The story flows quite well and I had to force myself to put it down and get some work done! I can't wait to go on to Book Two!
Mixed feelings about this one. On the one hand, I thought the international settings were really dynamic and added an interesting layer to the book. The whole fallen angel concept was nothing groundbreaking. There were some holes in the world-building, and overall much of it was under-developed; I had a lot of unanswered questions/points of confusion, like who are these archangels, what’s the deal with these demons, what is the ultimate goal of the fallen (it was mentioned that they’re supposed to “protect the world” or something like that… but why? Also, they don’t seem to be doing a ton of that during the book)… also, the whole “he’s also a mafia leader” thing added some extra confusion. His demon enemy is working with his enemy mafia family… but do those guys know about demons? Do they know about the fallen?
His character was fine I guess… nothing to write home about. Her character was also fine, although she was missing a little extra something. There was absolutely zero development of the side characters. Like, none. It would have added a lot to the book if we had gotten to see more personality from the other fallen dudes that are always hanging around.
Overall, I didn’t hate it, and I thought the beginning was really compelling. But I’m just not jazzed enough about it to pick up the second one.
I knew that Mark of the Fallen is just the tip of the iceberg, but I still found it so upsetting when the cliffhanger ending came because I can assure you, I'm sitting here dying inside LOL! Eve Archer is a new to me author, and I can tell you that I definitely NEED more! I don't read a bunch of paranormal, but the ones I do love are about Angels (fallen or otherwise). I'm trying to figure out if I've any other ones before Mark of the Fallen that have full grown adults & not teenagers but I don't think I have, and man, I've been missing out. Ella is a good woman whose life isn't going that well as she lost the promotion she deserved, and a longtime boyfriend who was a tool. It took her meeting Dominick, a fallen angel, to show her she deserved more. There's a connection there that defies anything human despite the fact that she didn't believe Dom's truth for a cool minute. There are demons & mafia families bringing danger so there are a ton of twists that really had my heart racing. The biggest twist of all I believe will be what part Ella plays in all of this & I for one am dying to know everything! I LOVED THIS BOOK HARD & HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
This is a decent read for the start of a series, and the characters are likeable and the places that are visited in the book are well described. The leader of the Fallen, Dominick, comes off as a mob boss, and “most” of his businesses are now legitimate and legal. Having been alive forever it seems, he’s amassed quite a fortune. Ella is a down on your luck woman who didn’t get the promotion that she was working so hard for and is in major debt. One thing that bugged me about that debt, is part of it was her own student loan debt, but the other part was the debt her parents had left behind when they died. No one is responsible for their parents debts, whatever is left of any estates or personal holdings is all they get, the child is not obligated to pay anything.
When Ella goes to blow off steam after a party from her company, she goes to a hotel bar that she’s read about. Of course, this is Dominick’s hotel, and as soon as he sees her, he knows that she’s been Angel touched, although Ella has no idea.
This is a good start, but I have a hard time enjoying books that cut off on a major cliffhanger, just as a grab to get a reader to the next book, and this one did that.
I thought this book was wickedly intriguing start to this new trilogy. To start, I must say the concept behind this series was just super appealing to me. Fallen angels, Mafia, steam and romance? Sign me up! And I was not disappointed. I found the book to be very well written and incredibly easy to become immersed in. The characters are complex and the world building excellent. I'm really liking Ella and Dominick. Their connection and chemistry is strong and sizzling the whole fated mates angle is always a plus for me because I enjoy the intensity and tension that it brings to a developing relationship. Lots of adventure, action and danger are combined with rich emotions, heat, drama and heart to create a book that had me quite happily turning those pages. Of course, since this is only book one of three, there is a cliffhanger headed your way; so try to prepare yourself for that and the wait for book two. By my own accord I am posting an objective review.
Yummy, Naughty Angels, did I say Yummy ..... Giving this a 5 star as the potential for the series in limitless. Wealth Billionare, hottie, fallen angel bad boys, demon bad guys, loving best friends, mafia. This series has SOOO much potential. The slow burn and many hints dropped at what can come BDSM, mates, immortality and lonlines and many more fallen to continue on. I was getting very invested in the exciting travels around Europe and the great history lessons intertwined in the story that I was happy the story ended on a cliffhanger and will continue on into other books. Ella won't take his bad boy bossiness and the chemistry is off the charts. There will be some heartbreak coming up around loyalty I can see, but cant wait for Book 2. Maybe a cliffhanger but book 2 dropping like 2 weeks after book 1. So you wont have to wait long. GREAT read.
I liked the idea of the brotherhood of fallen angels, taking a new twist on mafia boss AND billionaire romance. It was pure escapism, and the descriptions of the countries visited were so, so lush. I have been to some of these places and it was so evocative, it was like I was back there! The worldbuilding was fun, fresh and engaging. A real page turner!
What could have been better:
There were some repetitive phrases. I am also apparently not a fan of the "keep you in the dark to protect you" trope, so if that's your jam, you're going to love this! I found the heroine kept putting herself down and comparing her ex to the new flame, when he could have stood on his own merits.
You'll love it if you like: - Bad boy billionaires who will do anything for the woman they crave. - Steamy action. - Well-researched and detailed destinations that make you crave travelling!
This is a great first book in this series, and it moves fast, like they are always on the move from the beginning to the end of it. You know when there’s a deal with a fallen Angel that it’s about to get very, very real. He sees her at his club, and this would be the second time he has seen her, this time though he gets to keep her. At least until their deal is done, but with outside forces moving to get her as well, will they have that time?
Safe for me read. It took her a little while to get on board, even when seeing should be believing. Their attraction is sizzling, the heat between these two can be felt zipping off the pages. Insatiable, that’s the word I’m looking for. This book ends on a huge wtf cliffhanger, but simmer down because the next book is coming out pretty close behind. #NextBookPlease
Angels, Demons and the overall battle of the exiled combined with dark, broody men? Count me in. This book starts off with Ella Hart visiting Istanbul for work. A chance encounter with the dark, dreamy and broody Dominick Vicario leads her on an adventure that could change the world.
This story is my first read by this author, and I am so glad I picked it up. The author laces an almost insta-romance into the paranormal world and I am here for it. The story has lots of action, mystery, and steamy scenes that kept me riveted. The characters are well written and the story line has left me with questions instead of me normally just figuring things out right away. Which of course is refreshing.
Warning this is book one of a series, so do not pick it up unless you are ready to commit to more than one book. In fact, I am not so patiently waiting for the next installment.
A devastatingly addictive, sizzling PNR that I devoured in just a couple short days because nothing could slow me down on reading this!
Mark Of The Fallen was SO GOOD! When I seen this pop up on my news feed a few weeks ago, I KNEW this was going to be an excellent read and wow, was I ever right. Sexy, intriguing, edge-of-your-seat-and-bite-your-lip-till-it-bleeds exciting, this PNR was everything I had imagined....maybe even more so. The characters and storyline drew me in and kept me fascinated and entertained right from the very start. I loved the action, suspense and the hot and steamy scenes. There were moments I didn't think I was even breathing because it was overwhelmingly good. I can't wait to see what else this author has next!
Mark Of The Fallen gets a ADDICTIVE FIVE STEAMY STARS!
Can I just say OMG! For a debut novel, this story takes you on an epicly wild ride of fallen angels, demons and passion. It keeps you on your toes from start to finish and I could not get enough! Ella is a spitfire but was stuck in a rut. Then things go crazy as soon as she meets Dom on a really rough night on a business trip. Their connection is intense right from the start and I loved how they just played with each other as that anticipation builds! There are a lot of twists and turns in this story that will have you asking what just happened but also swooning at the intensity that these two produce. It is pure fire and oh my stars, absolutely everything. I am completely in love with this book and I am dying to get my hands on the second one to see how it all plays out. I am blown away at the concept and the depth of this story as well as the fluidity. The build was perfection and honestly, I think this will be one of my top reads of the year, and probably the whole trilogy! It is unique and twisted and all the naughtiness you need!
Mark of the Fallen is a fated mates paranormal romance and a great start to this series. Dominick a hot mafia don and is immortal fallen angel. Ella is in debt, and when the promotion she wants is offered to someone else she quits her job. When Dominick offers her a deal that will help solve her problems, she jumps at the chance. I enjoyed Ella and Dominick characters and they had an amazing connection and sizzling chemistry. A terrific story filled with action, drama, danger, intense heat, and kept me intrigued and turning the pages. This story ends in a cliffhanger and I’m looking forward to seeing what happens next.
Ok, so Dominic! I loved him! Who wouldnt? Sexy falen Angel, all alone, nobody to love just his brothers to make him company... Then Ella shows up and everything changes. She is diferente, special and he wants her. If being a fallen Angel isn't enougf, he is also the Dom of the Vicario mob family and a bilionare. So dark and misterious, capable of satisfing all of Ellas most deepest and darkest desires. Will She want to Stay with him? Or is the truth to much? I loved the book and can't wait to get the second One.
Only one thing REALLY bugged me about this, and it’s a small thing, but one that I keep reading.
Direct quote from the book: Between their debt and my student loans, I’ll be lucky to finish paying it all off before I die.”
Why do authors do this? You are NOT responsible for your deceased parents’ debts unless you co-signed those debts- at least, not in America. Come on! Only spouses. This is not the Medieval times where debt is passed down.
Ok. Now that that’s done… I enjoyed the storyline and quickly moved to book 2.
I loved this read and can't wait for the next! This did end on a cliffhanger for those that don't like books like that. I loved Ella and Dom and their interactions together. The writing is descriptive, adult, and I didn't notice any typos while reading. There is a lot of story here and a lot of action. I am so curious where this is going as there is still a lot unresolved. This is a first read for me from this author and I will be getting the next as well as looking at her other books.
Fallen angels, demons, and Arc Angles...OH MY! This story was fast paced, exciting, and brilliantly performed in DUET by Jason Clarke and Aubrey Vincent! This is a trilogy, so there are cliffies with the first 2 books. I enjoyed the surprise twists and turns, the characters with many layers to them and histories that are revealed in pieces. Overall, I chose this book due to narration in duet by Jason Clarke. I really enjoyed it and hope that book 4 is released on audio!!
Dominick knows there is something special about Ella. He has to do whatever is necessary to make her stay. Ella is stuck in a dead end life. She knows she needs help and Dominick has offered her a way out. This book is delicious. I love the banter between these two characters. I can’t wait for the next book. A must read.

Mark of the Fallen by Eve Archer is the first book in the Dark Fallen Angels series. Fascinating, exciting, gripping, and sexy.... this introduction to the Dark Fallen Angels world is spectacular. These characters are amazing and interesting. And after that cliffhanger, I can not wait to read more.
This is a to be continued in the next book. Not a fan. Characters were developed well. Too much description of the buildings. Not enough of surroundings. Not much background on Jaya the demon or Anthony the Don's youngest son. If you are a fan of to be continued stories this is for you.
Sick and tired of being cast aside in business and life Ella decides to accept an offer of a lifetime. Unbeknownst to her the rich handsome man who has and will change her life forever is not all he claims to be. Intriguing story, emotional and heart breaking but full of heated moments!
I loved this book, which was a imaginative start to a new series, with a different take on a fallen Angel/mafia theme. I loved the storyline and characters, finding the book intriguing and captivating. This does end on a cliff hanger, and I really can't wait for the next book.
