Australian Romantic Suspense Author, Nyssa Kathryn, is a passionate reader and writer of all things romance. Living in South Australia with her hubby and daughter, when she's not spending time with the family, she's either plotting her next story or got her head stuck in a book.
The following ratings are out of 5: Romance: 🖤💙❤️💜 Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥 Story/Plot: 📕📗📘📙 World building: 🌏🌍🌎🌍 Character development: 😚☹️🥹😉 Narrator(s): 🎙🎙🎙🎙🎙 Narration type: Dual Narration
The heroine:Tori Blake - she was searching for answers, she had a note from a man she spent a night with, it had a phone number and referred to Marble Protection. She had been shot and ended up falling into a river and had come out with amnesia. She knows that someone is after her, though she doesn’t know who or why.
The Hero:Oliver Bolton (a.k.a. Ax) - he is another one of the Navy SEAL team that was held captive by Project Arma for two years and had been given a super-soldier serum that altered their DNA making them stronger, faster, with better hearing, and the ability to heal faster. He and his teammates have been tracking down their former commander Hylar who started the Project and wanted to use it to get back at the country that he and his partner think betrayed them years ago. They got rid of more of Hylar’s people, including his partner in the last book and now they are starting to close in on Hylar.
The Story: Oliver loved women but didn’t feel the need to commit to any of them like his brothers have been doing lately. He met Tori and they had a one-night stand. Oliver liked her and even gave her his phone number and told him where he worked, hoping she would contact him again, though she never did and the phone number she gave him was fake. Then one night he sees her standing in the rain, but when he goes to talk to her, she was gone.
I liked this one because the character of Tori was so complex and different than usual. She was a bit of a damsel in distress, but when her memories started to come back, they painted her in a whole different light. She didn’t like what she was seeing of herself and worried that she wasn’t the good person she thought herself to be. The relationship between Oliver and Tori was developing and he needed to know what she was remembering because it affected him and his team.
This audiobook was told in dual points of view via dual narration and was narrated by Avery Caris and Oliver Clarke. I liked both of these narrators; they also did Asher’s story. I actually have liked all the narrators so far in this series. Most of the books have different narrators, there are only a few that are repeated and never in back-to-back books.
I could've sworn I wrote a review here, but apparently not. Nevermind, I LOVED this so much!!😍 It's a great suspense romance & omg, makes me so excited for the last book in the series, but hell, I'll be sad seeing this end 😢.
Awesome Story & Listen🎧 Thrilling Romantic Suspense! Oliver Project Arma, Book 7 By: Nyssa Kathryn Narrated by: Avery Caris, Oliver Clarke
Nyssa Kathryn writes romantic suspense like no other. I have been loving this series and I cannot help myself from bingeing and devouring each book. The ongoing storyline is coming to a head as we close in on the last book. While I am looking forward to the team completing their mission of taking down Project Arma, I am not looking forward to the series ending. Thankfully, the author is not finished with this amazing world she created and there is a spinoff series featuring new characters, some of whom have appeared in this series. This seventh book is Oliver Bolton and Tori Blake’s story and wow, what a story it is. Oliver and Tori had a hookup, but he never heard from her after, but then she shows up in Marble Falls and he notices something is off with her. It was a note she found in her pocket that brought her there, well that and she is looking for some answers, starting with who she is. At first Oliver is weary of her, and has his own questions, since she has no memories, could he trust her, he does not sense any malice in her, but what brought her to him the first time they hooked up, was it a chance meeting or something else? I loved all the layers of the story and how it all played out, the writing and plotting is fantastic, as is the world building and character growth and development. There is non-stop drama, surprising twists and turns, thrilling suspense, heartfelt emotions and a fantastic romance. Nyssa Kathryn, thank you for another amazing story and emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧 And for the wonderful narration, Avery Caris and Oliver Clarke are talented narrators and versatile voice artists. They did a fantastic job portraying the characters, humanizing them, giving each their own voice and personality. I loved how they took each role, made it their own, sounding believable and just as I envisioned the characters to sound. You can feel the characters' emotions in their performance, which shows how much heart they put into their work. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another great listen.
Tori is back in Marble Falls. She has very little info but knows she has to find who wrote her the note she found in her pocket after she was found in the River. She knows he is at Marble Protection and his name begins with an O.
Oliver can't believe Tori is back. He really liked their time together. But why did she look at him like she had no idea who he was.
Tori has amnesia and only is remembering bits and pieces from her past. The note in her pocket is leading her to Oliver who she hopes will lead her to herself.
Now Oliver must help Tori find herself and I cover the truth behind the reason they were really thrown together. All leading back to Project Alpha. Now the guys have a chance to find Hylar and end him.I
Tori remembers her friends Samantha and her dig Charlie. She feels like Charlie died protecting her and Samantha might be in danger. The guys are doing their best to locate Samantha and find out her past.
The relationship between Oliver and Tori was really sweet. Of course women love a man willing to protect her.
Can't wait for Kye to be released. I already preordered it.
This story is the second last in the series. I got the ebook for free from Amazon. It was well written for the kind of story it was. I've read series like this before and I can see that I didn't miss much in not reading the rest of the series first. I don't feel the need to read the last book either. The basic series arch is a bunch of Navy seals were recruited into a non-sanctioned government project. Their DNA was altered by a psychopath. He told the soldiers that they were part of a government project to create super soldiers. They figured out the truth and broke away from the project. Now it's their job to shut down Project Arma before it's too late.
Oliver can’t quite decide on which lane Tori is in but the problem is she can’t either. When she wakes up with amnesia the only person she believes can help her piece together the puzzle of her mind is Oliver but she’s not sure if this will help her or hurt him. Loved this one
3 1/2*stars REALLY DIFFERENT IT HAD ROMANCE, SUSPENSE AND A BIT OF SCI-FI. I ENJOYED EVEN THOUGH ITS NOT WHAT I LIKE TO READ. I LIKED THE CHARACTERS AND THE STORYLINE PLUS I'M A SUCKER FOR ROMANCE. SIGH. SINCE THIS IS A SERIES THE TYPE THAT DOES NOT REALLY END, END, SO TO FIND OUT WHAT REALLY HAPPENS TO KYE & SAMANTHA YA; GOTTA GO TO THE NEXT BOOK. DANG IT.;<
Tori wakes up in the hospital with amnesia thousands in one pocket and a note in the other
I would recommend this book and series for mature readers that enjoy reading stories that are funny, steamy, suspenseful, and romantic, with strong characters both male and female.

𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄
Will they be able to trust one another when everything shows they are from opposite side …
So we are getting closer to the end, the nose tightens, but who will win. I will not spoil anything by saying it will be Marble Protection team. Still they are in for a wild chase before completing the loop.
Oliver is surprised when he spots the woman from his one night-stand walking in their office. After having tried to contact her without success, he never thought to meet her again. But does she have a secret agenda, she is and is not the same woman from some weeks ago. Tory outside her name and a written note has no clue of who she is, where she comes from. Yet as fragments of her memory find way out of the blankness of her mind, she begins to wonder if she is a good person, what if she was the opposite of the woman she is now or wants to be now.
Yet as her past and his nemesis collide, how will they manage their attraction, are they friends or foes, can they move further or do they turn their back at what could be.
With this rollercoaster tale, we are reaching the near end of this series, and are left hanging with how everything will come to a conclusion. 4.5 stars
𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹 onscreen lovemaking scene.
I have been granted an advance copy by the author, here is my true and unbiased opinion.
5 Stars for Oliver’s book in this amazing series!!!
What a man!!!!
OLIVER is another fantastic instalment, and one gorgeous-as-all-hell hero who is a part of Author Nyssa Kathryn’s PROJECT ARMA military series. Seriously, it has been a must-read series that has included all kinds of tropes ranging from Second-Chances, Enemies-to-Lovers, Best-Friend’s-Younger-Sister, and this latest being an Amnesia read where Oliver had spent two days and an amazing night with a woman who’d left one hell of an impression. Unfortunately, she then seemed to ditch his backside by not calling, and leaving him with the wrong phone number.
She’d had extenuating circumstances.
When we met Tori, she only knew her name because she’d found the note that Oliver had quietly left in her jacket pocket before they’d parted. I do love the amnesia trope as each author tackles it differently, and I really admired Tori trying to maintain the integrity that she innately had, yet seemed horrifyingly undermined with the dream/memories that she kept having. She was genuinely comfortable and felt safe with Oliver, and she was developing an attachment to him so it was only natural that she felt hurt when he wavered between reticence and the over-whelming attraction between them, knowing that he had memories of their night together, while she had forgotten everything about her life and even meeting him.
They were perfect together.
What I did admire most was the communication which did eventually happen when Tori opened up about her memories, even as they saddened and confused her. The actions she had almost undertaken were at odds to how she was feeling now, and I could only imagine what it would be like to be in her place. I felt her heartbreak and yep, anger too, when Oliver would pull away in mis-trust, but at the same time, I knew that every one of those guys had been badly betrayed.
There is only one book to go.
And I’ve already said what an amazing series this has been. While I can’t wait to read Kye and Samantha’s book, I’ll be sad knowing it’s the last. PROJECT ARMA has had a consistent plot thread that has run through each book that developed more of the story while we also get to see our heroes fall in love. Ms Kathryn’s series has been well executed and has kept readers engaged without being tedious, or falling by the wayside under the weight of the individual romances. I have absolutely loved it, and I highly recommend it for anyone who not only loves military men, but enjoys the individual tropes that have been trotted out over the last seven books. One to go readers!! Be prepared and start with the PROJECT ARMA Prologue now!!! 🖤💙
Oliver is the seventh book in the Project Arma series with one left to go (Kye). Each book has been an intense ride from start to finish with amped up danger from a madman trying to capture and/or kill the Marble Falls Protection guys and their women. Since Heller altered Oliver and his teammates during Project Arma, noting has been the same. Once they realized the truth of the project and escaped their previous commanding officer’s clutches they have been trying to find, capture, and destroy him and his new army of psychos who have been relentless in their pursuit. Heller and his team have no qualms using anyone and anything to their advantage to succeed. Even with the small victories they make, they still seem to be one huge step behind.
Tori has arrived in Marble Falls with one goal in mind – to find the person that gave her the note in her pocket and hope he has some insight into her past to help her restore her memories. She’s desperate, scared, alone, and knows someone wants her dead – but she has no answers to the who or why. Random flashes here and there that make no sense keep her on edge and she’s desperate for answers. She knows her time is running out to find them so she hopes Marble falls Protection can help.
Oliver is one of the two bachelors left at Marble Falls Protection; the rest of his team already happily in love with great women. His thoughts linger to Tori and their sizzling one night stand several weeks ago wishing he could get in touch with her. He’s tried the number she gave him with no results so he’s shocked to see her walk into their office seeming scared and unsure. Something’s off but he can’t put his finger on what. She’s not the same woman he met weeks before and though she doesn’t outright lie, she’s not telling the complete truth either and he wants to know why.
As Oliver and his team work with Tori to recover her memories and past, information is revealed that has them all questioning if she’s really friend or foe. Oliver desperately wants to believe that Tori does not work for the enemy but with more questions than answers and her own uncertainty he has to fight against himself to keep her at a distance for his own protection, along with his teammates. Though as the danger increases for them all, the closer Oliver and Tori become. Their chemistry is off the charts and they have a connection that won’t be denied. The deeper they fall, the closer Haller and his guys come.
This book is a gripping, suspenseful read with twists and turns, action and danger, strong brotherly bonds and teamwork, romance and sexy times, and genetically altered alpha men who will do whatever it takes to protect their women. Fantastic read!
I give 5 stars for the series but different stars for each individual book. Rather than write a review of each of the 8 books, I'm just going to write 1 for the series. The series is about a group of former Navy SEALs who were experimented on without their consent and became super soldiers. They now run a business together while investigating the man/people who did this to them and still present a threat to them and their loved ones. Each man falls for a woman he needs to protect from their enemies. My initial impression of this series was that it was going to be a collection of stories that satisfy an array of tropes with the dedicated, loyal, protective hot guy falling for, and needing to protect, the strong but tormented woman. It is that; and if that was all it was, I would have been fine with that. I would have read them, probably more slowly, and taken breaks between books for maybe a little more substance. However, this series was tied together really well with the background story of chasing the bad guys who did this to them. With every story, it revealed a little more of what was going on, someone else involved, and increased the stakes. It really sucked me in, making it increasingly harder to stop reading and impossible to read anything else between books. For the last 3 books, I started reading the next book immediately after finishing the previous book, and kept reading until I couldn't keep my eyes open anymore. The whole series together was quite good but should be read in order. I also highly recommend the audiobooks. I listened while reading along.
Tori shows back up in Oliver's life after they spent an unforgettable day and night together. Except she did forget, along with almost all of her other memories. They need to work together to unfold who she is but they are both worried that maybe they won't like what they find. Tori was my favorite female main character in this whole series.
Oliver is a former Navy SEAL. He and the other members of this SEAL team left the Navy and started their own security company named Marble Protection. Mason and the seven other men on his team, were all part of Project Arma, an experiment that turned out to be something more than what the team agreed to. Now they all are super soldiers with modified DNA, done without their consent. They are set on tracking down all those responsible for the project to ensure it doesn't continue. However, the people involved are also set on Oliver and his team switching sides even if by force. Tori is the best friend of a bio-chemical engineer that works for Project Arma under the guise that it is a government sanctioned top secret project. When Tori helps by tracking down Oliver with the intention of allowing Arma to capture him, things start to get ugly. Tori and her best friend are now in real danger. Tori tries to flee and ends up shot and floating in the river. Now the problem is that Tori has amnesia. The only thing she has on her is a note from Oliver with his number at Marble Falls Protection Agency and ten thousand dollars. Can Oliver help Tori remember who she is? Will he be putting himself and his friends in danger when she remembers her mission?
Another amazing action packed book by Kathryn. Every time I read one of Kathryn's books, I think it's my favorite and then she comes out with another amazing book. This whole series has been top notch. She writes compelling stories with interesting characters that have depth to them. I read this book in under one day. I didn't want to put it down. I loved Tori 's character and her best friend. Two more kick butt intelligent females that are determined to do the right thing.
I received a review copy of this book from the author. I am voluntarily leaving a review.
Unrealistic plots and Oliver is scared of a relationship.
Really didn’t enjoy this one. It just wasn’t a realistic portrayal of amnesia, the way that Tori remembers something everyday in her dreams. And don’t get me started on the fact that a) When Tori was found in a river, she had ten thousand dollars shoved in her coat pocket. How big are those pockets???? B) The police would have investigated a woman found nearly dead, with amnesia and ten thousand in her pocket! C) The police would have rang Oliver, whose number was also in her pocket, and asked who she was!!! Especially as someone tried to kill her, and his number was found on her!! They would have questioned him.
Oliver and Tori had a one night stand, and after nearly being killed she has amnesia and can’t remember him. So she goes to Marble Security to see if he can help her. Tori is a mess, as she doesn’t know who she is, or what happened to her, and she’s terrified. Oliver treats her like she’s the enemy, while she’s staying at his house, then he has sex with her, then he treats her like the enemy again! I hated him!!! I understand that he doesn’t know if he can trust her, so DON’T LEAD HER ON AND HAVE SEX WITH HER! 😡😡 He’s so weak. Then he decides he can trust her and starts being nice to her again. At which point, I’d be telling him to go away, politely!
The one thing that I really hate about these books, is that the women don’t seem to have any control over their libido. Yes I get that these men are sexy and they really fancy them, I just hate the way that it’s portrayed as okay to treat them really bad, then have sex with them. With no apologies or explanations. I’d be demanding both before he went near me. You can’t trust that they won’t change their mind again!!! 😡😡
The Project Arma series is one of my favourite series and this seventh book is right up there with the rest as being exciting, action-packed and thrilling. Oliver and Tori’s story is one you, like me, will probably find once you start—you simply can’t stop until you finish the book.
Oliver, aka Ax, is one sweetheart of a guy who, like the rest of the team, finds that when true love calls—it literally grabs you and you have no choice but to embrace it. For Oliver there were many doubts though and I did feel for him, however, I also felt immensely sorry for Tori too. Tori is so torn in this story but the support given, especially by the female partners of the team, is amazing and leaves you with a fabulous feeling. I liked Tori from the get-go and yes, there were questions, but then again in a mystery there always are!
The suspense element is twofold in this book because it revolves around who Tori is and what she has done, as well as, the ongoing team challenge to eliminate Hylar and the other mutated team, the ‘bad’ guys. Lots of twists and turns take you on a wild adventure that is simply incredible and all from the comfort of your lounge chair! 😉
Oh boy, does this author know how to build clear descriptions of her characters, especially the evil ones. Just when you think Hylar couldn’t get any worse… yep, he does! You definitely experience all of the emotions in this book and I mean every, single, one—from fearing anger to excitement and happiness.
Bring on book eight but… I don’t really want this series to end as it is absolutely brilliant, every book is five star quality!
After an accident took most of her memories, the only reason she's back in Marble Falls is because of a piece of paper with Oliver's initial 'O' and Marble Protection's address on it. She has very little to go by, but she knows whoever 'O' is, that he is at Marble Protection.
Oliver can't believe Tori is back after ghosting him and changing her phone number. They had one great night together, but why does she look at him like she had no clue who he is? After discovering that Tori was in an accident and hikers pulled her out of the river, leaving her with amnesia, Tori seeks Oliver's help to try and figure out who she is. Oliver helps Tori find herself and the reason why they were really thrown together... even if it's not the reasoning Oliver hopes for. Is Tori dangerous, was she after him? Or is she just as in the dark as he is with her connection to him?
As Tori starts to remember bits and pieces of who she was before her accident, some things she remembers she fears will turn Oliver against her. I really enjoyed the mystery and suspense of this book. Tori is a really strong, independent woman, and I really felt all her emotions that she went through. She was scared, but she never let that stop her from trying to figure out who she was. I really liked Oliver too, he was a strong, tough alpha male who really did care about Tori and I thought in a way, he wore his heart on his sleeve but was also really cautious in his feelings toward Tori. They were great together and once they figure out who she is, seeing how Oliver is Tori's ultimate protector, he would do anything for her. Can't wait for Kye's book!
This story gave Nyssa open season on what she wanted to create. I was wondering the direction it was going to go, and Nyssa created a wonderful, is she, isn't she? For me Oliver and Tori didn't have the connection that previous h and H's had. I was guessing it was because Oliver not only had issues toward Tori but he was one of the last die hard bachelors. Slow realisations became a wonderful slow burn as things started to get more complicated. The next devious thing the antagonists had in store was a complete twist and opened up the plotline for the last book. I wanted to shake Tori every now and then but Oliver...gah! He needed a mysoginistic slap upside the head. It was gutwrenching in places, nicely paced in others, scary hopeless at times and sigh of relief moments. This book turned out to be one of the more savage stories that Nyssa wrote and in this one i did see a few flaws that I kept wondering why. But in the end it turned out to be the right flaw...what a wonderful idea. It started to move from suspense to angst and i didn't want to stop listening. Everything was so cleverly put together and relief was but a fingertip away. The big showdown surfaced in the nick of time and I'm wondering at kye's story. These super alphas seem to be fast when they need to be but the baddies always seem to get the better of them. I know it had to be this way for the duration of the series but it was always a frustrating moment in the story. For the second last novel it was pretty Awesome and action packed. Loving the narrators, they just kept these amazing characters alive.
Ohh here we are 7th book. 7 freaking fantastic book. I wanted nothing more then to read the 8th boo immediately after reading Oliver's story. But, (sad face) we have to wait a tad but longer foe the next. But back to Oliver and Tori. Oliver was a complete mystery entering this book. After reading a few chapters he was completely mesmerizing. Like his brothers he has a deep sense of loyalty and loves with with his whole heart. Which causes him to be to be cautious. To see how much Tori captivates him, you just know that insta love runs deep. **le sigh** Tori- "What are you afraid of? ... that I am part of the evil hunting Oliver"- this quote to me made me realize how genuine Tori is and I adore her. Her gut instincts are hand in hand with Oliver. I love how they both try so hard to solve her memory loss. Their determination and learning they have to trust one another to find out the truth. I have said it I swear with every book, but Pretty sure Oliver has become my new book boyfriend. My only complaint is, I do wish the book was a bit longer and gave a little more insight to Oliver, or maybe I just wanted it to continue on for at least 2 or 10 more chapters. I liked this character and the couple that much, or maybe its just knowing we are so close to figuring out what happens. Even with all that, I will definitely be rereading this book again, since it only took me about a day to read. I need to go back and savor it. Well done Nyssa! I wish my review had better poetics and words for another fantastic book.
Another great story in the Project Arma series. These books have great characters, great story lines, and a lot of suspense and action. The pages turn quickly in this book.
Oliver “Ax” Bolton is a member of Marble Protection. He and his “brothers” started this business, and they give back to their community by holding self-defense classes for women as well as being a business that helps their community. They are men that have special abilities and are determined to stop those that take from others without consent, in any way.
Tori is a woman that is clueless as to who she is. She woke up in the hospital and was told that she was found in the Colorado River by hikers. Now she’s on a mission to find out who she is and the only lead she has is a note in her pocket guiding her to someone with the first name that starts with an O and Marble Protection. What she’s searching for could destroy her or get her killed.
I love these books and Oliver was just as good as the other 6 books in the series. Nyssa Katheryn has a way with writing these books that may seem to lead along the same paths, but each one has their own unique part in the story. Oliver and Tori had one night and now he is the only person that she feels safe with and that she may find her past and get the answers she seeks. The only problem is that they could also put each other in danger, and both be killed. The action of this story was non-stop, and the story was fast paced. I loved it and I am looking forward to Kye’s story. I give this book a 5-star review.
Oliver Project Arma, Book 7 By: Nyssa Kathryn Narrated by: Avery Caris, Oliver Clarke
I cannot get enough of this series. Nyssa Kathryn has me on edge and each book, we get a little closer to the end. But it's packed with passion and suspense, all the things I love! This is Oliver and Tori's story. Oliver is the true protector and when Tori came into his life, he knew she was the one he had to protect. After a one night stand, Oliver never heard from Tori again. He thought there was a connection, but he really wasn't interested in a relationship. Then she randomly shows up in his self defense class. And not only is that strange, but the way she is acting is too. Getting the truth out of her was not easy, and even once he knew her story, trust did not come easy. How does it play out? With twists and turns we don't see coming, this book had me wondering the entire time. And it's building it all up for the final installment! The suspense is building because just when you think it's over, there is more! Bring on Kye next, I need to know how it all goes down!
Avery Caris and Oliver Clarke are perfectly cast for this electrifying story! With Tori, there are a lot of layers that need to be peeled, as getting to know her isn't easy. Caris takes each one away, letting us feel each emotion as it comes off. Clarke has a warm and loving voice when it comes to Tori, Even in his most distrustful, the emotion comes through. But he can turn it around in a second as he becomes the warrior he is. This is a fabulous listen and highly recommended.
Tori has amnesia after being shot and found floating in the river. The only clue she has is a piece of paper that leads her to Oliver. The more she pieces together of her life, the more worried she becomes that she’s not really the good guy. Super-soldier Oliver is stunned to see Tori again, but no matter how much he likes her, he’s aware that things aren’t as they seem.
I picked this up while it was free, and I hadn’t read the previous six books. Although, I did feel as though I could have used more background, I did manage to follow along.
I mostly enjoyed this book. I liked the idea of Oliver and his brothers. The super-soldier element was fun, although there could have been more evidence of that. Much of the time, it faded into the background. I did like the characters and there was plenty of story going on.
There are a couple of scene breaks where we seem to rewind the story and go over something we’ve just read (just from another point of view). I found this really clumsy and a bit irritating. It does stop the story from flowing properly.
The last couple of chapters set up the next book, but it’s a bit too much of a cliffhanger, which is seriously annoying. It would have been better as a separate sneak preview. If this was supposed to entice me to buy the next book, then I’m afraid it’s had the opposite effect. I had actually intended to go back and read the rest of the series, but after that stunt, I’ve changed my mind.
I loved this plot. It was full of mystery and although I suspected a lot of the major mysteries, it unraveled at the perfect pace.
Tori returned to Marble Falls with ten thousand dollars and a paper in her pocket with a note including a business name and an initial. She has no memory of her past life and has spent the last month recovering after being found floating in the Colorado River. Oliver is stunned the woman he can’t get out of his head is back, but he’s even more stunned when he finds out she has no memories. Because of the betrayal his team has faced, he’s wary of Tori but ultimately feels protective of her and wants to help her.
The journey to recovering Tori’s memories is a hard road for Tori and Oliver. They both feel things for each other but don’t know if they can trust those feelings. With her memories coming back, they seem to point to Tori being on the side of Project Arma, but Oliver trusts his gut that there is more they need to know before casting judgment. With Project Arma on their tail, they must find Tori’s memories to finally piece together the final puzzle of the mystery of Project Arma before it’s too late.
This book was full of mystery and action. There was a kidnapping, a rescue, and a battle to finally end Hylar. In the end, it was a bit of a cliffhanger in the overall story, but Oliver and Tori did get their HEA. I can’t wait to get into Kye and Samantha’s story!
This latest story of the series centers around Oliver/AX Bolton. He and his teammates, all former Navy SEALs, were for ten months part of a project with the intend of enhancing their body. Unbeknown to them, they were in fact guinea pigs in a drug trial that was off the books . One that almost got them killed. Even after they left, the project has continued creating men who have become animals and killers. As the team continues to search for their evil commander, their brotherhood strengthens and some of them are finding love with strong, loving women. Oliver is one of the single ones. He thought he could have found the one after a day and night with her, but she disappeared the next day. When Tori Blake showed up in Marble Falls looking for help, she has no memory of who she was nor their time together. As the memory comes back, it’s evident that danger is surrounding her. Could it be related to Project Arma. Is she a friend or a foe? The plot will grasp your attention from beginning to end. You will not only get to know Oliver better, but you’ll get a chance to “visit” with the much loved characters of previous stories. This was an engaging story with great characters and definitely another winner in this already favorite series. I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
I've read other books in this series, and another by this author. While I've enjoyed those for the most part, this one was hands down the worst.
Oliver was just so bland and didn't stand out in my opinion. He wasn't different in any way (besides being bland) than the other characters in this series. Usually the male character of each book in this series stands out in some way, that was not the case here. Tori was just okay.
I feel like there was a missed opportunity to take this book and the series in a different direction. *𝐍𝐨𝐭𝐞, 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐞 𝐚 𝐬𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐫 𝐧𝐞𝐱𝐭.* Later in this book we find out that Tori herself was in the military. I honestly think Nyssa Kathryn could have made Tori into a super soldier too. It could have happened when she was kidnapped. It would have been nice to mix things up and give us a female super soldier, instead of just all male ones. Honestly a little disappointing that chance wasn't taken. *𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐫 𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫.*
Overall this book was a little depressing. Tori couldn't remember who she was, and she thought she did something bad. It wasn't as enjoyable to read.
A lot of these books are basically copy and pasted versions of each other. Not much changes with the plots, they're all mostly the same story - just different character names and a few small details.
Oliver is book 7 in the Project Arma series and each book just keeps getting better and better.
Imagine waking up in the hospital with no memory of who you are and how you got there. The only things you have are the clothes you were brought in with, a note and cash found in one of your pockets. Then told you were brought in because someone shot you and you fell into the river. In hopes of finding out who your are, you follow the note which leads you to Marble Falls and the Marble Protection team, all former Navy Seals. The closer you get to getting your memory back, the closer the danger that is following you gets.
Nyssa does such an incredible job of bringing this series to life. The male leads are all 100% hot Alpha males who have been thru hell and back and doing all they can to get the justice they deserve. The female leads are strong, independent, have been thru their own hell and equal matches for their men.
Can't recommend this series highly enough. Great writing, great characters and plenty of action and suspense. It is a series, so really should be read in order, or you miss so much of the characters and plot. But as I'm on book 7, I can say I have yet to be disappointed. Can't wait for book 8.....
Oh man what a read and a new author that I one clicked….and I’m so happy I did. Tori has lost her memory and her only clue as to who she may be is a note in her pocket from O and where she can find him. Oliver aka Ax is surprised to see Tori, a woman he spent a night with weeks ago but something is different about her and he wants to find out why as he can’t stop thinking about her. When he finds out what she went through and has no memory, he and his team step up to find out who she is and if she is a threat to them. As the memories start coming back, it’s not all that good and if she reveals the real reason why she was with him….will he walk away. I’ll say it again…oh man…this read had me glued from the first page to the last and I didn’t want it to end. Steam, suspense, danger and an extra element to what Oliver and his brothers in arms are all about…wow. The story flowed beautifully and I LOVED the little to no drama between the two and what they would endure to keep the other one safe. Even though there are a few books before this, I didn’t feel lost and now I want to read all about the others before Oliver and what each couple went through before this. Best thing…I found another author that I will be stalking….I mean following.
Oliver is the seventh book in the ongoing series Project Arma. This series is based on a Team of Navy Seals who were lied to and experimented on which resulted in them having enhanced abilities. Each book builds upon the previous one as they track down those involved in the Project.
Oliver spent a wonderful day and night with Tori and then she disappeared. Her number was fake so he began to doubt what they really shared was special. When Tori shows up again, Oliver realizes something isn’t right. She is afraid to tell him about her amnesia because Tori is scared of what she could have been trying to do.
I was a little annoyed with Oliver and his way of dealing with the truth he learns about Tori. It’s takes him longer than it should to realize she was innocent in what happened and was lied to about what she was doing. Once it’s obvious she’s in a danger, Oliver's feelings come full circle and he’ll do whatever is necessary to keep Tori safe.
Again, we get a good bit of action at the end. The team is now the closest they’ve been to taking down all those involved in the Project. More truths are learned but a player(s) is still missing and he’s taken Tori’s best friend with him.
Holy wow, was this good. Oliver had one night with an unforgettable woman, yet it seems like he’s not as memorable to her as she was to him. But there’s so much more going on here than a slightly dented ego. Tori is either friend or foe, but no one is sure which. And she’s either a piece to the puzzle or the key to Oliver’s downfall. They need to work fast to figure out exactly where Tori fits into all of this before it’s too late. It helps that there’s love to be had, but what if that love is used as a weapon against both Oliver and Tori? Then what?
I’ve loved this series from jump, and this book is no exception. Just when it seems like there may be a light at the end of the tunnel, that light lets loose the sound of a freight train’s horn. And more problems are on board with it. Even better, we’re seven books into this series and I’m not ready for it to end. I’m not ready to say goodbye to this group of men and the women who make them whole. So here’s the good news: we aren’t done yet. And the bad: Kye’s story may be the most heart-wrenching one of them all. I can’t wait for the next book already because I need to know how this will all work out.
Brilliant!! I am just loving this series of books. They fill all my needs and just keep me spellbound all the way through. This was about Oliver who had a one night stand with Tori but a month later, she turns up back at his business not remembering anything of her past except she had met him. This was a non stop, high action thrill ride that got steamy and had emotional moments through out. It wasn't hard to empathise with both Oliver or Tori as they certainly went on a journey. As hints were given, and breath holding action took place, one couldn't help pull for the boys to get past Hylar again. So well written, I loved the chemistry and the protective stance Oliver took for Tori and even though trust was scarce at times, he still loved her and obsessed over her. All the guys were behind him and that team spirit just captures me in and doesn't let go. I really didn't want the story to end. This was a brilliant book I don't mind saying again. I can not wait for more!!!!! This was an ARC and this is my honest review.
